The Sunken Lab actually
Because of where it's found, it's easy to find it in a spot where opening the door floods the building
Which just seems odd for the lab to not have a way to be dry
I was thinking of suggesting an airlock-style room, r shaped chamber where you go upwards to enter, so that if the area does spawn in a spot where water will flood it it won't flood the building
(or just like a diagonal sealed slope, same thing to water physics in this game)
So really, it'd be even easier then since it's a fully fixed format building

They stop water, but if you leave the door open and then reload the world it will let it all in when settling. This is addressed next update through changes to the lab

We're doing something similar, except it specifically only gives keybinds to accessories that use them
So Accesory Ability 1 would be the highest up accesory with an ability
Accesory Ability 2 would be the second highest, and so on

Okay, I'm pretty certain I can't post another sugg this period, but I'm personally thinking about boss shaders in Calamity and how uninteresting they often are. The best of the bunch is the Exo Mechs shader, but the majority of boss shaders are just variations of the Moon Lord's shader without the distortion and only some coloration. (Scal's recently lost the coloration, which sure might be somewhat better... but it doesn't look right to me)
I think Calamity could do a lot more with making its boss shaders look better
Fargo DLC Calclone, while a weird fight overall, does have this really neat boss background that makes the fight look like you're surrounded by a swirling mass of darkness that was probably summoned by the Clone. It looks great, and I wish something similar was there for the base fight.

The best boss shader I've seen for a Calamity-adjacent mod is Catalyst's background for Astralgeldon, and boy is it exceptional for a cosmic background. Imagine something like that for DoG.
DoG's boss shaders/background are the worst imo, because they're so basic: They're either just the sky being colored pink-purple or cyan, or the background is just pitch-black like Moon Lord again.

Honestly wouldn't simpler shaders be optimal though?
When you reach bosses that can well and truly flood the screen in attacks, you have to make sure they're clearly visible at all times to avoid players taking too many "cheap" deaths to it
So how they change the shader might end up requiring some resprites or secondary effect changes as well to retain that visibility
I mean, there has to be some amount of making sure shaders dont look overwhelming
I think the reason why they're making Boss Rush shaders look worse is because it made some projectiles really hard to see
especially when it darkened

hm, actually one of the annoyances with invasions is just that they can break doors too, and some ammos can also destroy terrain making it terrible to use for bosses...
I wonder if a sort of block safe-zone gen that sets all blocks in range to like, 150% Pick power or something could be good to prevent any accidential damages during excavation or using demo ammos (and making doors not openable by enemies)

There’s a difference between accidentally right clicking while opening a door and annihilating your home with crystyl crusher, and intentionally putting in the ammo that specifically destroys terrain and firing it with celebration
Tbh I just used to have it on hotbar and have misclicked while reorganizing my inventory with Mk2 once

I trust their word that some weapons don't work properly with lock-on. Almost all of them certainly weren't designed with controllers in mind.

Yeah my two playthroughs have been with melee and ranged and the weapon problems I’ve had are with ranged. some ranged weapons Weapons like the railgun and accelerator won’t follow lock on. Other than that yeah calamity works pretty smoothly with controller. Even the add ons do. Hunt of the old god works great.
Weird thing about the bosses is that the calamity bosses are super easy but the normal bosses are very hard. I was able to beat Leviathan with pre plantera gear but I was only able to beat skeleton prime by the skin of my teeth.

Wait actually. This is perfect for a radial menu. Have one of the buttons open a radial menu and pick one of 8 directions for an effect. On controller you just pick a direction with the joystick, on mouse and keyboard the direction is the next direction the noise moves
realistically we'd just do a radial menu for controller bc vanilla already has that built in, and also you shouldn't need it on PC

Not particularly. I’ve gotten along just fine without all of them
Well it might just be me (I doubt it) but idk. Some bosses I’ve just been able to easily beat when I shouldn’t have. Examples are skeleton before 2nd evil bosses, calamitous clone before skeleton prime, and leviathan before prime. I also haven’t really struggled on calamity bosses. I’ve been playing on death mode btw. Should’ve mentioned that
Lock on definitely makes it easier because I can focus solely on dodging

Inferior Fabrications is only used in the main mod because a placeholder song was needed and it was really the only fitting song that existed at the time. The other two you are suggesting to be implemented were created afterwards and we have no interest in implementing them cause they aren't ours and there's not much reason to seeing as Inferior Fabrications isn't the permanent Exo Mechs song
