How hard would it be for calamity to add a pitty system/smart RNG? It’s done in a lot of games, where basically to make the player feel good, you’re guaranteed to have something happen after a certain number of tries. Obviously hidden from the player. Could I suggest this?

I've always thought about making a mod to do that, just track how many attempts and make it so that you cannot exceed the intended max number before getting an enemy drop (for example if it's a 1% drop you would having increasing odds of getting it as you got closer - on your 99th kill you would have a 50% chance to drop it and your 100th would be 100%)

Had a couple ideas for old prehm vanilla accessories that could use some love
Radar: Creates periodic highlights for enemies like a weaker hunter potion.
meaning the probability approaches 1 but does not ever equal 1
Compass: Makes a needle display point in the direction of the nearest chest.
Depth Meter: increases mining speed at lower elevations.
Metal Detector: Periodically highlights valuables, like a lesser Spelunker effect.
Water Walking Boots (& Upgrades): Allows walking on lava and increases speed walking on liquids.
...isnt this already what obsidian water walking boots do

all the hardmode ore weapons were given additional effects beyond stat boosts
(Those are also being removed anyway)
adamantite slows enemies on hits, set bonus increases defense with damage, mythril decreases enemy contact damage and armor set releases mythril flares on hit, cobalt decreases enemy defense and armor increases move speed, not to mention the bonuses to all the prehardmode ore armors

I see, since I noticed that most of the new players of the Calamity Mod use guides and in these guides these accessories almost always appear in the "Pre Boss" section. I thought that this would help make the pre harmode faster. Likewise, thank you very much for taking the time to read my suggestion.
tbf, they're mostly suggested for all of pre-Harmode, if i recall correctly, and they're predominately in the pre-Boss section because there just isn't as many strong options for accessories in that leg of the game. their listing is mostly to be like "hey, if you get this, it's really good and you should use it!" hence the * icon next to them to imply their difficulty in obtainment

the whole point of that is to not overwhelm the player with information
is it really that hard to move a weapon to another inventory slot
plus, what about ammo damage for black hawk and its upgrades? for mana stats for summoners using active weapons? it's easier to just keep the stats most relevant to each class to when you're holding its weapon type

i think im allowed to say this since half the time i spend in cal is looking at the fucking stat meter while setting up a build for nohitting or doing an awful challenge or just fucking around
its annoying to rearrange your hotbar but like it takes a second and the amount of summon slots you have at any given time is between like 1 and 16 something while damage% and crit can range from like 0% to 370% something, so it's a much easier number to remember
also new summon ui will exist

Magma Stone's effect is that it allows melee attacks to inflict Hellfire. However, one of its two upgrades is a ranger accessory, Molten Quiver. Given that Calamity buffs another Pre-HM Underworld accessory, the (otherwise useless) Flame Waker Boots, to apply On Fire! on all weapons, it isn't out of the blue to update this accessory to apply Hellfire on all classes instead of just Melee, for consistency's sake.
If this sounds too problematic, one could instead make the Magma Stone only apply Hellfire on Melee or Ranger.
