to be fair, I believe golem changes are just HP based, so it will probably still be fireball giga spam next update

heres the changes from the next update i've found for Golem
62 - Decreased the velocity of Rev+ Golem's attached head fireball projectiles and made the Body's fireballs have an even spread.
80 - Added new player targeting for Golem.
227 - Rev+ Golem can now use the new jump slam attack from Master Rev+ while the head is detached.
231 - Rev+ Golem Free Head is now slower and removed its Rev+ HP buff to encourage players to kill it.
Update to Changelog 90: Decreased Master Mode boss HP by 15%. They're so annoyingly tanky with most builds that I felt compelled to do this.

Skeletron's dashes are the issue and that's already receiving changes next patch

In my opinion, Providence (at night) and the Empress of Light (during the daytime) are both challenging bosses in the Calamity Mod. However, compared to the Empress of Light, Providence feels much easier, almost like a baby in legend death level. I think Providence needs to be strengthened in the next update, perhaps by increasing the number and speed of her stars.

@steep patrol this suggestion is just missing way too much reasoning and is way too specific. furthermore Ravaged is a post-Golem boss so putting Flesh Totem into Hero's Shield would be a bizarre retier that would probably make it less viable (not to even mention the actual retiering of Ravager himself soon)

I have made a suggestion in the past about an upgrade for hero’s shield post-ML
My suggestion doesn’t specify it to leave it more open, but my personal pick would be flesh totem + hero’s shield as a post-ML accessory
For frost barrier one i think it did but for flesh totem one i just want it to get more usage
Also yeah i know it is very specific i just dont know how specific is too specific
Flesh totem has some unique usage against some bosses

Flesh Totem is such a "nothing burger" accessory most of the times...
I do think hero’s shield + flesh totem post-ML has some merit

A suggestion like “rework flesh totem” might give it some hope but still idk how specific i can go i have an idea like instead of 20 sec cooldown make it a charge instead like getting hit at full charge reduce contact damage by 50% ADR and it charge to full in 20 sec so you can benefit from it all time but to get the most out of it you need skills so you cannot abuse it
For something like “rework flesh totem” I would avoid saying what you want the rework to do

meaning you can actually survive a "reasonable" amount of time, as you have dodge for the first hit, optional hallowed dodge for second hit, Totem halves the third hit, which can then be healed with potion alongside chalice/Dheart

Suggest adding an upgrade to the flesh totem (likely post-ML)
Give reasoning why you think flesh totem is a useful accessory in some cases and could be more valuable as an effect later in the game, combined into another accessory
Then give hero’s shield as an example for something flesh totem could combine with to form this theoretical upgraded accessory
This avoids saying that the accessory must be an upgrade of flesh totem + hero’s shield (this helps it avoid being too specific), but gives a good example the devs may use
If an upgrade of flesh totem isn’t exactly what you what though, that’s fine, this is just an idea

Hm...I suppose that's a good question, it's just something I got used to in Vanilla and would be pretty helpful when mining for money, and I moreso thought that there was a way that it could be kept in the mod's ideal structure without interfering with its balancing too much

It also just makes sense thematically, since those ores seem to be initially introduced into the world through souls or some form of life essence being released from their containers, or at least, that's what the deaths of the WoF and the mechs seem to have in common
So considering the altars contain corrupted souls in the rework, it could fit

But I would agree that Altars feel somewhat lack luster compared to Vanilla, just because you need them for summons only
Smashing altars isn't exactly a challenge that requires substantial rewards..

- You're not "prevented" at all, regardless. You can beat SCal with a Copper Shortsword or Wooden Bow if you try hard enough (both of which have been done).

you are always better off using one of those alongside the combined item, than using the 2 ingredients

I would argue that having a 10 def accessory and an open slot for something else is better than running an 8 and 4 def accessory

my best guess for the test discrepancies is 2 things
- They are using other mods, including ones that add whips
- They might have used mechworm based on their dummy testing, when mechworm doesn't scale consistently with slots at all and is unreasonable to ever expect more than 5 slots of
still doesn't explain the drastic difference they got, but I tested with killtimes and they all line up
my tests also align with the ~3:42 expected killtime for cosmic vipers which is what I used
exclamed this for reasons already discussed here + this getting 🔒 instantly if it gets to voting

HoAD is planned to become a mobility accessory akin to a reverse Gravistar Sabaton
Heroic damage is not going to function like how you mentioned btw
But instead a permanent damage buff some weapons get against all bosses to prevent certain weapons (cough cough true melee) from curbstomping regular enemies without fucking up boss balance
