there's a very good reason coin gun can't draw from piggy bank
they explicitly want it to be limited to inventory coins
the coin gun is certainly a weapon
to be fair, with 200 damage for plat coins, if you've got a good enough farm, you can melt through vanilla content for where you get it

crackshot colt checks whether you have enough cash in hand
then buys using your cash in hand + piggy bank + safe etc
However, since you always have at least 1 copper coin in hand, it only uses copper in your inventory
if its intentional, or not going to be changed, it should be put in frequently suggested imo
considering crackshot colt costs 1 copper

I see no issue with having both if there isn't a technical reason piggy bank and safe was removed from the in the past
as they used to have that feature, but it was removed. So unless it was very intentionally removed, or had to be removed because of technical limitations, i see no issues with asking to add it back. And based on what Ozz has said, it doesn't seem to be based on technical limitations
I will now go look at the change history of Midas Prime to see when the piggy bank interaction was removed

The important parts listed on the wiki for the crackshot, midas, and marksman rounds-
Buffed the damage of both guns, crackshot can throw 4 coins at once, changed how coin multipler damage is calculated, nerfed coin firing rate, 100% crit rate for coin hits, nerfed daawnlight spirit origin interaction, removed increased coin damage multipler based on the coin's lifetime
I am ignoring the wiki and looking at actual changes to the source code.
From most recent to the longer ago:
- CIT fixed a bug where Midas Prime couldn't toss Gold Coins if you had Platinum Coins but no Gold Coins.
- CIT fixed a bug where Midas Prime could duplicate money if they had 1 Platinum Coin in their inventory and no Gold Coins (it would toss Gold Coins for free).
- I completely remade Crackshot Colt and Midas Prime, but even the old versions before this were using Utils.CoinCount and not checking piggy bank at the time.
- IbanPlay, on July 10th, 2022, changed from
player.CanBuyItemtoUtils.CoinCountbecause Midas Prime ceased functioning if you had more than 2,147 platinum coins. This unintentionally removed its ability to check for money contained in the Piggy Bank and/or Safe.

I have no idea where people are getting the idea that this item could take money from the piggy bank
From what I can see, before it was ever publicly released, it lost that ability
The only other option is that people aren't tripping, and Utils.CoinCount used to also count your piggy bank and safe (and that was changed in a TML update)
meaning that Midas Prime and Crackshot Colt lost the ability to siphon money from piggy bank due to a TML update
But I do not feel like digging into this further to confirm or deny whether that is the case

Yes.
What you have just asked, is a reason to not do what I just did.
"if I have 80 silver in my inventory and (my entire life's savings) in my piggy bank, what if I want to toss a silver coin?"
If the item checks the piggy bank, then you cannot choose to toss only silver coins.
All 80 silver evaporates from your inventory instantly and 20 silver disappears from your piggy bank, and you toss a gold coin.
The alternative, is what Coin Gun does, where it DOESN'T check piggy bank, and it uses ONLY what you have in your inventory

its always felt a little weird that mana polarizer is just completely useless against the boss that you fight immediately after getting it (spectre bolt spawns on wof, wof moves almost as fast as spectre bolt, it immediately despawns like two feet from wofs mouth)
im a big fan of the overhaul approach of forcing you to get aggressive to get health and mana pickups, maybe they linger around for a while and you have to actively run to them to pick it up?

Change Fearmonger debuff tooltip
Fearmonger is a tank-like summoner set, granting "immunity to all forms of frost and flame" stated in the tooltip, which is wrong. It is even worse since Fearmonger is craftable post-DoG and, at the same time, doesn't grant immunity to Yharon's fire-based debuff. This could confuse people to think that Fearmonger is much better for Yharon than it really is.

My first ever calamity playthrough I went in blind, got the summon for geldon right into hardmode, not knowing any better summoned it, and beat it as my first hardmode boss by running one direction

Basically King Slime but its buffed as hell and is obese and can jump like 900 feet in the air
on a more serious note this boss is pretty challenging if you dont have good mobility since hes big, hes fast, and he teleports, so my tip is to stay off the ground if possible and if you are forced to stay near ground, have angel treads or a good spe...

Imo the best part of Catalyst geldon is that they didn't try to keep it the same as old geldon, as old geldon eventually morphed into auerus, so making new geldon based on that would have left it feeling too similar to aureus

Lure makes it much faster since they actively spawn
It doesn't really do much, but it's kinda an exploit of intended mechanics
I'm going to be honest, wulfrum farming is not super enjoyable, if you go through the effort of having a lure on you, having a core to activate it, finding a naturally spawned pylon, and are able to farm the wulfrum enemies without accidentally killing the pylon, you earned it

Indication doesn't mean anything if the player isn't aware. I used colored pillars as indications in my own arena for getting close to borders and still often just didn't pay attention lol
I use the version of the minimap that is transparent and covers the screen, so I'm always aware

instead of replacing the sentry if you deploy the cannon first then any other sentry it just accepts staying there
okay all of those are fixed how about the sentry no longer scales with your stats at all

You go from normal sentry issues to "yeah it doesn't scale with stats now"
