cursed is only inflicted by 4 very specific enemies that are all super slow, have low hp, and no other properties to them, so when you see that enemy and you know it’ll inflict cursed the brain tells you kill that guy before anyone else. atleast that’s the impression i always had

the "shade rains from the sky on hit" effect no longer comes with the "youre stronger at lower health" effect that it would theoretically be synergizing with for tanky builds

with the way it is currently implemented, I am almost certain that it checks for if your shield is depleted first, and then trigger the dodge
as in -> you have shield and take damage -> your shield run out -> do you still have more damage to take? -> if yes, it is dodged
which means it logically will require a complete rework of dodge, especially in relation to adrenaline

and also dodge is getting reworked next patch, so the suggestion is unlikely to happen due to how stupidly overpowered it will be
the overflow damage is what is dodged

now firstly, i have to concede that the bonuses of shield ocean and deep diver are different from each other
Atleast you're encouraged to opt for water movement arenas instead of common arenas
the only consistent stat they have is that they give some defense off the bat, and give more of it while submerged
movementspeed is obtained in different ways (shield ocean needs victide armor, deep diver gets movement speed while underwater and also super duper dash)
Shield of the Ocean usage from what I used was a Band of Regeneration replacement honestly
also movement speed
if you have victide armor, this item is a good replacement for aglet or anklet of wind
Since you get the same regen from band + some defense and movement because I was using Victide at that stage
No, the real replacement for Anklet or Aglet is the Green Jelly item

post-moonlord should be as difficult as when you first enter hardmode
that way all of the great weapons can actually be put to good use
there are so many interesting post-moonlord weapons that unfortunately shred even late hardmode enemies
nothing really becomes that challenging outside of bosses, usually just heavy grinding and rng
in fact, the post-polter abyss enemies are a great example of a healthy challenge, and enemies of similar power should be distributed to the biomes we'll spend most time in during post-moonlord

Outside of the profaned enemies early on and event enemies, there's pretty much nothing that can realistically be a threat to you
And pillars not having a MGR-styled HP bar feels like an oversight when every other miniboss has it

There was a brief discussion of changing the example to railcoining, the developers know and it'd be awful to code/unwanted due to reference nature.
Note: Marksmen Rounds (to my knowledge) were only added due to it not being possible to code in functionality for all guns to use coins.

im not sure what i would say instead because its a very specific problem, the respawn timer changes shouldnt be reverted because making the player wait is very bad but at the same time it does need to be balanced to keep the game engaging and the same idea goes for spawning you at full health (not having full health on spawn was one of the ways this idea was implemented in vanilla)

i think the foundation of the suggestion is a little weak (i just wanted something elegant to fix a problem i saw)
but is multiplayer being easier than solo a problem? you can always adjust difficulty
highly specific, and with lots of moving parts thats probably best left to someone actually in dev
most people in multiplayer don’t really pay attention i think
not to mention you need to get every friend to agree on a difficulty change
the main solution for "multiplayer easy" ive always seen is just to bump up the difficulty a bunch and with master compatibility on the horizon that might fix part of the problem
that’s kinda the solution to “game easy”, not “multiplayer easy”
yeah playing on the hardest difficulty is sort of a bandaid fix to multiplayer being busted balance wise
well there's also the respawn timers being dependant on difficulty
now you could give death mode players the dreaded 60 second respawn timer
