The fight is literally with consideration that you are underwater
There are ways to counter the slow movement in water. Removing the water would pretty much remove any remaining sense of uniqueness

Water physics have always been funky in terraria
iirc victide armor, gills, flipper potion make you more mobile in water than you would be on land

Well, mod wise you can always decrease the enemy speed on your own, I assume
It's not likely to be a global change because death mode (which is the only reason for glue bats
) changes all those values individually for enemies and as such turning all off doesn't really make sense (you can turn off the difficulty mode instead), while turning them off individually is config bloat
well, "not likely" is overly optimistic. I don't think it'd ever happen without a far greater reason
well i play on revengeance mode only so is a little bit odd and i compare bats on vanilla right now and i guess if u give for bats even 1-2% faster acceleration that can give u a glue effect especially when u try play ranger or mage class so anyway thx

I have a problem playing with the infernus mod, I'm playing with tmodloader 1.4.3.6 and I have activated both calamity mod and calamity infernus mod (and the music, obviously), but when creating a world in expert mode the bosses start like the original calamity, not with the expansion of infernus :( Does anyone know why this happens?

Mollusk armor is early Hardmode and is multiclass
Fathom Swarmer is, if I recall correctly, post-Calamitas and is a summoner-only and Omega Blue is post-Polterghast and is again a multiclass

Deep Diver should either be a pre-hardmode accessory or be merged with the Shield of the Ocean, because by the time you get the SotO you need to explore Sunken Sea where dash would be quite useful

Players won't build water arenas even if you give them insane bonuses for it, so for the sake of land combat, we need another approach
So like remove their offensive capabilities, or at least tone them down

it will make them useless beside the several point where you don't even need them
building water arenas is also kind of a hassle
the best way to do this would be by spamming wet rockets or wet bombs, but you'd need a fast enough rocket launcher to use the former
the only "underwater exploration" accessory you need is basically just arctic diving gear and basically only for the abyss
anything is not mandatory or even remotely necessary

the fact that these accessories give insane bonus was the only reason they were used for underwater; most people will not need nor appreciate if it say provide better lights underwater

I use luiafk which has a click and drag item to fill the entire square with water, and even then I never use water arenas because learning the water movement just simply isn't worth the return
I think the Asgard's Valor line should have the water effects removed, but the rest seem fine/redeemable

the main problem in my opinion I see with this is just I don't see that there is any reason to change the existing one to become exploration accessories and then add new ones
it just takes more effort for almost the same end result
IMO tuned down the current underwater combat accessories by a bit and just add new underwater exploration accessories if needed
so plat for example will shoot much slower than copper
I can think of a few things to make water arenas more accessible
- Making the Bottomless Water Bucket have a faster usetime
or - Adding a new item that places water really fast

victide just has very little identity or use beyond being a stat stick because it's water effects and overall gimmick in general are very subpar
genuinely one of the best parts of summoner in PHM is that there's basically 4 armor sets for the whole thing, and 3 of them are interchangeable based on playstyle
