Amalgam used to suck
Rn it's actually fucking amazing but yeah it is just another dodge accessory with a weird conditional effect and not unique in any sense
What if we get rid of the damage and dodge from amalgam and rework it into an actual amalgam accessory combining rain effect like amidias pendant, gehenna and rotten brain into the ultimate garbage unique passive damage accessory
Can combine like spore sac and volatile gelatin too

would "make the draedon lab theme not play until turrets have been destroyed" count as asking for something to be reverted cuz iirc in the original mod the theme wouldn't play until you broke the turrets or if you were in a player created lab, hence the calming theme, whereas now the calming theme can be playing while turrets are actively shooting at you

The crafted blocks with a furniture set have platforms, except Ancient
the wulfrum set does come with a platform in the preview image but there's somehow no isolated sprite of it

to me it feels and use just like any other gun, the only distinction is that it uses snowball which is not exactly super unique when the weapon itself makes it feels basically like bullet
and no if you make a flurrystorm cannon (upgrades) that fires bullets will only even further make it just a normal gun

currently there are not exactly a lack of gun at any point, especially later progression like Hardmode (which as it is "upgrade" is implied)
The thing about flurrystorm cannon is that it takes a bit of times before firing and not only shoot the ammo but also chunk of ice with different size, it's clearly not just a gun, compared to the other pre-hardmode gun it's one of the most unique. And why would we need an upgrade ? Because (from what I know) there's no other gun that takes time to be at the max speed to shoot (a bow post-yharon but that's all). Also I think you missed one part of my suggestions (or I wasn't explaining it enough), I was thinking of the bullet changing a bit more what the weapon would fire compared to other weapons to keep it unique, for example the explosive bullet would transform into little rocket and the chance to fire something else would be another type of rocket. Because of that I was thinking it should be put around Moon-Lord since bullet change what it fires, though I don't know how many gun there already are just before/after Moon-Lord. @small timber

what "type" of projectile the weapon fire do not exactly make the weapon unique, for example dragon's breath and minigun, despite dragon's breath firing special ammo and have bullet it is not really much more creative than minigun which essentially is just an end game minishark
same with flurrystorm cannon, it firing some ice chunk alongside the "normal ammo" is not exactly a unique quality, otherwise I can also suggest to add upgrade to Darkecho Greatbow (which fire a crystal dart), or Hoarfrost Bow firing 2 arrows
yeah and flurry is preHM? and then you have the phatasm line
there are a lot of guns that uses ammo directly depend on the ammo being inserted into it so I will not call it unique property (in fact that kinda is what makes many weapons feel the exact same)
you put luminite bullet into any gun that can use ammo and suddenly all of them have infinite piercing, instead of having piercing be a unique quality making it great against worm etc
also the line about the lack of charge up guns is just wrong lmfao
I was comparing it to other pre-hardmode weapon, of course a pre-hardmode gun can't be as unique and cool looking as something in mid/late hardmode, if you try to put some of the late hardmode gun in pre-hardmode you will have a hard time balancing it
(and yes mentioning specifically only flurry storm cannon do make it sound like you just want another snowball gun instead of what you are trying to get)

Where with overrides you just choose whatever ammo has most base atk as it gets overridden anyway. (Also pearl god still fires your selected bullets, so not really a great example for conversion weapons)

No matter how much defense or DR you have, you can't tank 8 blender hits. However, the amount of extra I-frames you can get Post-Yharon could change 8 hits to 2. I'm exaggerating of course, but not by much.
If your goal is facetanking then I suppose so
but if you're actually trying to dodge then you'll rarely feel the benefits of extra iframes, because your hits will be spaced out
Not exactly Post-Yharon, but the fireballs he spews are supposed to make you have to dodge well or get hit multiple times. However, if you tank one hit you can waltz through all the others, at least with a dodge

Calamity has the stat meter, and if you mean a dynamic indicator just showing how many you have left and not total, then yes there are other mods for it. like most suggestions it would be nice to have, but because only a few get chosen probably won't get many votes.

I imagine it is something along the line of "Shield of Cthulhu upgrade item that give debuff and knockback immune like Asgard's Valor, but also reduce cooldown if you successfully hit an enemy with the dash and reduce damage taken from projectile from the front"
if it is something like this (probably is close) then it means none of these effects can be deleted
best I can see is they nerf the projectile reduction down to like 10% normal damage reduction instead of 15% Retroactive Damage Reduction

And you should cut down on your ideas for what each elemental would do, you can leave a few as examples but mostly you should leave that up to the devs
