Ok so let’s say I’m REALLY struggling with infernum, should I give up for now and just do a calamity playthrough without addons or should I keep struggling until I get good?

For reference I went straight from a vanilla classic mode playthrough straight to infernum, and I’m currently at the mech bosses after 70-80ish hours of gameplay

I am currently playing Calamity first time and I just heard about Infernal Eclipse if Ragnarok. Do you think is it more fun or worth switching over to IEoR? I am currently at Golem and 200h in my playthrough.
I also build much and have a pretty big world. I would farm end explore another world and continue builing at my so called "main forever world"

I have a main world and lets say I want to disable the mods later. Will my world break if I do so?

I think the coolest way to play would be to start multiple worlds with time where u focus on one big mod. Maybe at some point you could play a ultra modded world.

I do have some add ons active tho. I play Calamity with Infernum bc I think cal is way too easy and wrath of the gods, wrath of the machines (currently deactivated), catalyst and hunt for the old god but I think these are great mods to include.

But I have nearly 3K hours in Terraria on console so I do have some knowlege

I love souls games and for me Infernum is necessary. The 2.1 boc rework is what im looking for and if every boss will get revamped I might switch it off completly but this will take longer than I will propably play now.

But I will continue where I am, thanks for the responses. I do have the feeling to miss sth out I love how "op" the character looks in IEoR at the end, saw a boss rush vid.
