Well, he can be unpleasant at times, but I wouldn't say he's a broken junkie. Learn the patterns, and it's pretty easy to avoid getting hit. Maybe your accessories are poorly reforged and you're not doing enough damage? On my rogue, everything is set to silent, and 2 are set to formidable.

Unsure if you’re still on but marnite architect is a start. Could also go for the usual hand of creation components though I do like me a little luiafk and quality of terraria since the former has tool time post skeletron and the later has my goat the wand of painting and ultimate wand of actuation. If souls is included the marnite architect enchantment would be nice for you to double up though I assume not seeing the wayfinder gate. Probably more base options I’m forgetting but that’s my go tos and such.
