My fingers just can't move. Even dashing his horizontal attacks is difficult. Here's my arena and kit. My weapon is Death's Ascension, and I don't want to change it since it's really comfortable.

each warding accessory gives you something like 6% damage reduction, you got 7 accessory slots that's a 42% damage reduction
So basically you can almost take twice as many hits before going down (this is a slight exageration)
Also I didn't take into account the small bonus defense you get from warding too

But if you prefer using more damage I can understand why killing the boss faster is also a way to increase survavibility
