Some phone’s screens can pop out of place (mostly huawei and other cheap brands) and that causes touch to malfunction or completely disconnect

Do the keyboard and power button share the same PCB/connector, or are they just physically close? You might be able to unplug the keyboard and start it with a metal key just like on a desktop board if it has its own pins still. A multimeter's continuity check feature might help if its an option
