Run the media creation tool, choose the option to make a bootable USB
When its finished, boot into your BIOS and choose to boot into the USB
Then follow the reinstall instructions

Windows does have a built-in reset option that works a good 35-40% of the time

#

Try this, starting at number 3, in case you do have a system restore point from before the fake antivirus program was installed
If you have the restore point, revert, and then you can use Defender and attempt to disinfect things afterwards

I've upgraded from 3500X (6c/6t) to 5600X (6c/12t) and despite the fact that they both have TDP of 65W, 5600X runs hotter in games and the fan is at 100%. When I alt tab from the game, the temperature drops by 5-10 degrees within a minute. PBO is enabled. Can someone like reassure me that everything's fine?

you will see windows load normally, it will load from either one hdd and then you will see and option to pick which copy of windows you wana boot to, it can be confusing to see which one is which. you just have to try it.

whichever drive windows boots from, that drive will become the C:\ drive.
