Yup, start with a dry paper towel and wipe as much as you can away, then use isopropyl to clean off the stubborn shit.
No need to soak it, just put the paper towel over it, dump upside down and back up very briefly

Technically it doesn't matter too much thermally how the thermal paste is applied, but the pea-sized dot method is the fastest method.
Just put a dot on the center and squish it with the heatsink.

Almost all game performance is centered on the GPU, ram speed does next to nothing in comparison

i went in with ifixit tweezers while the pc was still running
was able to do it

it has numbers on it like 1 2 3 4
so u plug front into 1, top into 2 and rear into 3
there is a cool runway sync effect that you can use with that setup but you might have to rotate the fans 180 for it to work nicely
anyway you have a weird cable that goes into one of the connectors on the hub and it splits into a 4 pin pwm connector with actually only one wire going to it, don't bother with it because the pwm signal thing doesn't work
and there's the 3 pin rgb cable that you plug into the 3 pin rgb on the mobo
then there's the usb connector which goes on the bottom of the mobo somewhere
and the sata power cable
