hehehe
I hope so
but I dont think so - other than occasional store sales (1-2 per household)
Getting lower before going up for Christmas again, then falling
Because miners aren't the main reason for not being able to buy a gpu
- Disruption of delivery chains due to Covid
- People being at home and wanting stuff to do = way more demand
- 3000 Series being an actual upgrade = more demand
- Scalpers buying shit, because they are huge cunts
and 5. They are still producing GPUs, so prices have to fall consistently
^
Honestly crypto miners is the new black with the r/pcmasterrace having 0 knowledge about sensationalization.

Honest question, givent the choice between buying a used gpu from a miner for msrp, or buying a used gpu from a gamer at current prices, what would you guys go for?
Personally, I would go with the gpu that was used for mining.
if miner price is lower and looks decent (undamaged and not tempered with) I would buy 100%
Linus influenced my thoughts a bit, before that linus video I would have said gamer
I would buy from real miners
Like a 10 year old with 13 3090s
😎
But yeah, imo
If a seller goes "Im A gAmEr i KnOw My ShiT" ill steer clear regardless.
Because i know he'll be a super pretentious dick with super firm pricing.
That GPU is probably overvolted to 2000 volts
"Im A gAmEr i KnOw My ShiT
While GPU miners usually undervolt
But I would say i general, buy from a source you can test - compare with original specs then buy
When if a gamer overvolt to 2000 which he cant because Nvidia hard locked voltage manipulation it still will rarely work on 100%
During a game u face spikes of 100% and even if it's fully utilized it's not like a mining load...
Mining on the other hand highly depends on the overclocker when it comes to room temperature and dust because that what fucks things up

100% load is expected load
And besides, undervolting and underclocking is very much the norm in mining community.
If youre not doing that, your ROI going to suffer especially if youre in countries with ass electricity cost
Like murica
👌 and that is why it's worth it to buy a miner gpu
I would buy a miner gpu over a gamer gpu because I know how thermodynamics work, and it's better for the lifespan of a component to be under a constant temperature than to undergo fluctuating temperatures over the course of it's usage.
I am glad that gigabyte is making 32 inch 4k 144hz cheaper than what it really needs to be
sadly the FI32U has too many issues for me to fork over $1000
Well then argue why not, that isnt the same repeated industry-wide lie.

Between scalpers and cryptocurrency miners, its been really tough to buy a graphics card. But soon, we could see a flood of us...
Ill trust LTT more than a fucking testtubers.
Same thing here
Ok long story short it depends if b the condition of the gpu
And how long has the miner been using it
If you find a good deal well yeah sure
But you might experience some headache
But you basically never lose
because Taxi cards are always less than MSRP, miners are fast liquidators.
Well they sell their cards for the msrp now
At least 3000 series cards
Also fuck Apple auto correction
Outside USA yes
I think prices are kinda reasonable in the US now
Micro center sells gpus for the msrp
Well whats your budget
That’s goes well with msi b550 edge WiFi and ryzen 5600x
Maybe under 400
Something that can run 1440p @ 90+ fps
I won’t be heavily gaming
Mainly I will be playing gta
Well sub 399 you really only have RTX 3060Ti
And that thing is barely 1440p ready
It looks like there was some overheating there. Reapply thermal compound and you should be good to go.
Looks like it's low on power
@civic cloud you told me this case had shit airflow
I don’t think it does
Get better brands
Like what
This is the case right?
Get top tier Thermaltake and Coolermaster
Yep
That case looks good though ngl
Exactly
See if thermaltake and cooler have something similar
You can see all models in their website (2021 ones are usually a bit better and more polished)
I have the Corsair aio ordered so
That case will paid well
Oh you have it already ordered?
Not the case but Corsair aio
If you're talking about CPU/Gpu coolers they fit into any case
I meant Thermaletake & Coolermaster
Nope
But it is
Is it just me or is that case unnecessarily thicc
You never want to have only side gaps for airflow, because fans effective power is on the blade area
not the frame side.
yeah it'll leak through the sides
The Corsair 680X High Airflow case is a new ATX tower that's marketed, obviously, toward airflow. The question is whether it's another H500P.

And something under 150$
ur pretty bad at math, jk ily savage
Can’t decide
Lancool 2 is like the one of the top cases on the cooling charts
The Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB, as far as I'm concerned is more than enough for most PC builders long term. Everything from the drive capacity to the cable management is designed to provide options, and make the build easy. But the big question is, do we call it the Lancool 2 Mesh RGB, or the Lancool II Mesh RGB?
Associate Links:
Lian Li Lanco...
Yeah
Does it come with rgb fans as shown in the pic

@jovial tide yes 3 ARGB fans if you get the rgb version
so I just found a new case that has 180mm fans
is this normal?
I thought 120,140 and 200 were standard
Not so much
5000000mm fan when?
@kindred temple yeah you should look at the Fractual Torrent case, (it's like $190)
it's got like a slick design and lots of airflow under and front
Already recommending it to people
180 is rare
Halo Infinite wins Best Microsoft Xbox Game 2021 at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2021.
Best Microsoft game
lol

They offer a replacement
their PSUs for the last 2 weeks have exploded on people
causing fire in systems
lol
Gigabyte is also famous for making the worst software ever
yes
god damn gigabyte
nais
that's why my Boot drive is named C: Fuck Gigabyte Bios
Republic of Gaemers*!*

😩
although I am happy about one thing Gigabyte does
saturating the 4k 144hz market
their M28U and FI32U being very decent choices for monitors
Gigabyte also had the best x570 boards for a while
they can, just not with PSUs
Gigabyte is a hit or miss
They have garbage and very good products
never had a proper pc
That would be a long answer
well the one I have in my room now
that's probably why I stayed out of the PC market for so long

same here
very sadge
I only very recently came to know how much goes into building PCs
it still overwhelms me sometimes
I had a lot of computers over the years or just parts upgrading
you had that many PCs?
And built a lot
Well as far as I can remember I had 1 starter PC (I dont even know the specs it was pentium 4) - upgraded it to another one, then I bought an i5 2310 for college had it for years
got a laptop, sold the 2310 one and got 7700k +8 gb ram + 1050ti sold it moved here to Canada - bought Acer Aspire5 8250u + mx150
And now I'm sad
waiting for my next one to come from Dell
That i5 2310 + GTS 450 OC lasted me like 7 years
the PC I have includes
PC Case: Fractual Meshify S
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700X
CPU Cooling :NZXT Kraken Z73
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570
PSU: Fractual Ion 960W
GPU: Asus TUF 3080 OC
RAM: 32GB 3200 C-16
@jovial tide
I won't include storage for now
That's really nice
960W is a bit overkill I believe 570x is very nice (though gigabyte) ram's also good but 32 too much
Currently i have 4 computers
Melon's one of those Bestbuy campers xD
no I I have 5TB of SSDs, I do not like to flex on it @prisma citrus
So it's a long messed up list to mention
@jovial tide used to work for gamestop
I've never had the issue of running out of storage on my 1TB NVMe
hehe that's why then
Let me guess Ontario?
Uninstalling games goes a long way when you have somewhat decent connection
why do eastern canada people move to NY?
and in home gaming desktop, laptop and a shitbox as a server
It's very useful
probably a house domain and ADDS too lol
And u can build one from the junkyard
Have fun

which one lasted the most for you? and for that period of time which one was a favorite?
I like how u moved that gpu over 3 builds

raytracing man, what's the point
1080ti
I remember my first PC, 256mb ram, 32mb GPU ,1.7GHz intel celeron
When I had that pentium 4 I didn't know anything about computers. I once removed my windows/system32 folder lol
I thought it's extra garbage, "why is it there?"
the truth is that the biggest extra cabbage is the winsxs folder
I’ll bring you it
Oh thank you
that csgo contest you talked about?
Looks like a very nice place
Well yes, but It seems the team wasn't even setup for this place, so i guess there won't be tournaments this early
it opened on the 20th of this month
so it is quite fresh
I also got a pic of their PCs
pretty minimalist build, But I guess if you wanna have 40 of these, gotta go cheap sometimes
Hi
Is there is any difference between Corsair vengeance rgb black and white?
Because I heard that white one isn’t Samsung B
So it all works but i need an fan hub bcs my Mobos rgb thingy has 4 prongs but the fans rgb thingy has 3 holes

I ll take a photo as soon as im done cleaning my room
It says on the case manual that it should have an 3 prong conection for the leds but it doesnt

4pin is 12 volts RGB
3pin is 5 volts ARGB (addressable RGB)
rtx is only good because its on minecraft
Wise
system32 aint crap you would have fun finding out the bootmgr back then
this whole pc looks awkward
it does, not the biggest fan, but it is built cheap for a reason
looks good 😠
very neat, the original fan 2x rams some purple light decent mid range case
and no fan gaps I'd take it every day
Its an Omen right
The HP gaming bs
correct
also you waking me up 1.50am to tell me this
good job

Would you say OpenJDK's implementation of the JVM is heavier than the official one? I'm seeing ridiculous 100mb+ ram used by OpenJDK's JVM when running extremely basic programs.
no one saw anything
Oki fishy
After research I think I’m planning on buying this case @kindred temple
Thats very pog too
Wat
I’m buying this one than
Dude what
Im just saying its a pretty good case too

newegg
You dont

Question question
does anybody know AMD if multi GPU feature still works?
and does it do anything?
Is anyone good at troubleshooting PCs?? I'm trying to hook it up to my tv to set it up until I find my dad's old monitor but it won't connect
Ping please
Whats the problem here?
HDMI?
Does it show a second monitor there?
Or not?
When the TV's turned on and HDMI's connected
Wdym second monitor?
I don't have any other monitor
This will be my primary and only minister until I find a new one
did you go there?
Go where?
I'm not good with computers
I do not have a screen
oh
maybe it's your cable
try only the tv
and check if your cable isn't in your mobo output but in your graphics card
I don't have a graphics card, I'm running integrated graphics rn
Don't know what Mobo is but the tv works fine
Other discords say that I need to find a VGA monitor to mess with bios
If your board is even remotely modern, you can use any video ports and itll work.
Yes
VGA is a pain in the butt, you need extra wiring for the sound
12 years old, bought in '09
Yeah, you can run any port and it should switch on its own.
well it looks like the Fractal Torrent is getting recalled
they stopped all sales and anyone who got it is asked to send it back, Over a Fan Hub issue that could have been hazardous
If only NZXT and Gigabyte would learn
Ah yes, classic fractal
Remember Define R1?
They recall the ENTIRE SHIPPED BATCH of Define's over a crappily designed USB front panel.
What is up with manufacturers and fire these days
such service makes me wanna get fractal products because I know they'll recall and fix it asap
instead of lying to media, blame the media, or get memed on
meh I accept that mistakes happen under manufacturing, the question is what you do after the discovery
you have multiple chains of people and process to accept anyway, it slips by sometimes
Fractal's Torrent launched to extremely positive reviews, but unfortunately, the company has discovered a potential short-circuit from its fan hub PCB design. It's doing the right thing.

The short of the matter is ...
Now granted the USB problem wasnt even major, it was that its not gonna last.
someone with a macbook pls help, is winrar available for a macbook??
I think you have to use unrar instead
what is that? @pliant hinge
i just want to crack vegas pro and i need winrar for it
i have all adobe apps legit from school but i find vegas pro more usefull
Yeah and even if they didn't fix it its not dangerous and easily fixable
Not sending plastic screws
he got it fixed, told him in dm
Inexperienced with an app doesnt mean that the app is useless.
What is the adobe equivalent of Vegas Pro?
After Effects + Premiere
oh right
I'm rebuilding an old PC and the BIOS was reset to factory settings so now it's trying to connect to a VGA monitor instead of a HDMI monitor. The problem is that the HDMI monitor is the only monitor I have and I don't even have a VGA cable. Because of the new parts I needed (and still need) for the PC I don't have money to buy or rent a cable or a monitor. Is there anyway I can switch them without having an optical connection?
Usually, bios boots on any display plugged into it...
Try to reset CMOS, that might help and test if your monitor works
Maybe your computer is not booting
How do k reset CMOS?
I found an fix for the mobos that only have rgb that want to use aRGB
The "Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller" seems to be abble to help since its conection to the mobo is not rgb (usb and power) and it has the 4pin normal rgb, 3pin aRGB and led strips compatibility
So yeah thats probably the only way to connect a aRGB to an not aRGB mobo
Defines CMOS technology and how to clear CMOS using the jumper or battery methods.
Didn't work
Nice so it will work well with ryzen 5 5600x and msi 550b
ofcourse

And you'e gonna have to install all the essential software
Like what
MSI motherboard program + Radeon software adrenaline last version
Oh ok
Shouldn’t be hard?
No it's not. you just search for exact motherboard model
Download the msi crap in utility page then it'll download all the motherboard drivers for you
I’m still waiting for parts
Then you download GeForce Experience
Just wanted to see that gpu is good to order
it'll download graphics driver and game optimisations
I mean, it does come bundled with software I use to record, so...
What software are you using? Nvidia Replay is heavier than OBS, if its that.
Shadowplay
And by heavy, do you mean on the CPU or RAM? Because I haven't noticed any frame drops from using it.
Shadowplay/Replay is heavier than OBS in all regards because of its ties to GFE
h.264 GPU encoding would be slightly faster in Shadowplay if not for GFE's other always-running components
Aww well, I'm too lazy to set up OBS again, and I don't record professionally.
Shadowplay/Replay's convenience factor is amazing though
If a non-GFE version existed, it would be perfection!
No second window open in the background, no installing another program, loads less quality/performance tuning involved...
True that, but the convenience of it outweighs the system impact for me.
fairfair, yesyes
@jovial tide what about this one
The other msi I showed it’s not in stock
3070 much better
but this one's also good; depends on your monitor and expectations of games
That’s the monitor I got
1440p
you can play very high (average) on most games on 1080p with lower resolution
and probably mid/high 1440p
search "zotac gtx 1660 super 1440p benchmark" to see the ideal results on the internet
if you wanna go cheaper with the GPU I suggest cut a little on the monitor
Monitor already ordered
I have ordered all parts except gpu
do you have the money for 3070?
Ye
But it’s not in stock on target
US?
If you have a close friend (not internet friend) in Canada you can ask him to buy it for you
Bestbuy sells right now
let me find u something in Geforce website
That 1660 super is not really good for 1440p imo
Yes I’m USA
browse through 3080s and 3070TIs
mine opens Canadian stores yours will open american ones, see if there's anything in stock. Wortman bought it this way a few days ago
Nothing in USA
No stock
Well sorry to hear that. right now best buy sells for 800 CAD Nvidia 3070ti
800+tax ofc
Can I buy it
If I’m in USA
Only in store 1-2 per household
So they have stock in store
Yes they do
How am I going to get it
Everything’s sold out in US
I have no idea, maybe call bestbuy see if they can help you out for 1
I remember back in the day one of my friends ordered 2060 super from US
maybe you can do the same and buy it from Canada? have you checked Amazon.ca?
Only if these gpus were in stock I buy it right away
The bestbuy one's in stock sec
And people on eBay freakin selling them double the msrp price

it's like 640 USD
heck might even be worth it to fly here just to buy
Where I’m gonna live lol
The flights gonna cost money plus hotel
Hmm not really
Not sure if there's still Airbnb
But you can fly go to the store buy maybe sleep a night in airbnb get back
So why it’s available in store in Canada but not US
1 per household
means I can actually buy one now, but if I decide to sell it I wont be able to buy another for a whileee

A gpu is costing more than ps5
Really sad
A 3060 ti is being sold for 800$ on eBay
Absurd
This is why you need Canadian friends xD
Idk man but flying over to Canada seems like a good option to me
I can’t just leave work
You'll get an Nvidia 3070ti
Over a gpu
Maybe ask people in workplace if they have anyone there?
Find someone trusted to buy it for you (not here ⚠️ it's against the rules)
and then pay them through paypal or something
I saw one selling on my local for 1099 eur
Almost cried
650$ before tax here lol
800 canadian $
it's not third party brands though it's like founders edition nvidia one
Yeah those are expensive

1350 pounds
lol sorry that's 2080ti
When will Best Buy do another restock
Ik they had it 3 days ago but its all out
Bestbuy sells it right now

what was the specs again?

Gtx 2060 tuf 4gb (OC)
ATX Asus TUF Gaming B450-PLUS II
XPG SPECTRIX D41 DDR4 8GB( x2)
yes
xmp?
whats xmp 😮
right now its 2666
you should enable XMP
you have to restart -> go to motherboard settings (I don't remember for Asus it's either DEL key or F2)
then enable XMP 1
Save changes and restart then come back to windows till you see 3200 or more in there
ok sec
I only have D.O.C.P and auto option
no XMP?
No xmp
I know i saw an tutorial but its not here
if you have discord on cellphone send me pictures of your bios I'll help you out
DOCP is XMP
ASUS started calling XMP that around 2013
Nasty naming, "AXMP" and "DOCP" as names serve only to be different for the sake of being different. Almost Apple-inspired
Interesting. some models still call it XMP though, I helped a guy with MSI board it said XMP
its not consistent
true
Anyways what I recommend here is get AISuite then update bios through it
You can also see the temps with it on a second monitor easily + it'll do active fan control
It now says 3200 Mhz on the performance tab
good good
now we go here https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GAMING-B450-PLUS-II/HelpDesk_Download/
AMD B450 (AM4) ATX gaming motherboard with dual M.2, AI Noise-Canceling Microphone, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C and Aura Sync RGB lighting support
select win10 x64
then download and install this
after installing and running this you should see your PC showing you more performance overall
Also Surf there's a bios update option in there, try updating the bios through AI Suite
ASUS EZ Update provides an easy way to update your BIOS file to the latest version.

it should be on the left
did you install it when you installed AI Suite?
@quartz kayak
Oki
i ll install it
How about system information does it have EZ update there?
ok cool .65 it is then
h yes this one has ez update
Alr its updating
its finished
😄
you have 2 monitors?
hwinfo64
Some Ryzen 4000 laptops cannot show CPU temps from MSI Afterburner, so use Hwinfo64 for CPU temps. I have shown in the video. :)
Monitoring Tools:
Hwinfo64: https://www.fosshub.com/HWiNFO.html
MSI Afterburner: https://www.msi.com/Landing/afterburner
Benchmarking Applications:

AIDA64:...
easiest one is MSI afterburner
probably some wire in contact with the fan
well you can open the fan put some oil on it
or replace it
any mechanical oil would do pretty much
170 fps on minecraft 🙂
better?
yes
You can just use it for a lot of things
Yes Mr Gaus it says in the website no WD40
Make sure the oil can be used up to gpu temps
Maybe the bearing is fucked
How old is the gou
Gpu
Does anyone here have any tips on how to make parsec perform better when playing from a remote location?
Parsec is also the name of a piece of software used to stream games from your main pc to another pc
Force HEVC encoding if either of your systems is using AVC encoding, especially on the CPU instead of the GPU
I think they'll have AV1 soon, which will help
Skipper in my place there are small oil packs like this you can put in the fans
And other mechanical stuff we call it wheel oil
The profiler shows how much latency (in ms) each step of the process is using. Lowering everything that isn't the network will be easier than the network itself
yeah the picture above is sewing machine oil
Also decent oils never damage PC components
That's h265 right?
in fact you can put the whole PC in oil and have it running
yes, h265
I forgot to mention, I'm using a 4th gen mobile I7
So I'm not sure if h265 is compatible
i7 mobile has h265 decode and some amount of h265 encode
Maybe not the full h265 encode spec though, give me a minute to look into that
ok, my main rig has an I7-7700k, so it should encode just fine. Would my 4th gen I7 work for full decode?
agh, fully supported hardware decode starts with Intel UHD, Skylake and its laptop equivalents
Not likely, unfortunately
Idk what this is but bitrate maybe?
I mean, rn I can run it with about 60ms input latency, and runs reasonably well with a few hitches here and there as long as I limit the stream FPS to 30
I'd like to see if there's a way to minimize or remove the hitches.
Now question what are you streaming to the second pc with it?
GTA
Can't you stream it through steam?
Steam remote play doesn't function well, if at all.
The reason why I switched to parsec
Steam remote is bonkers
I've never tried any sort of streaming other than GeForfce Now
too bad it doesn't support GTA
Expecting you to be using a home connection with ethernet on each device, and loves using the full 10 gigabit your router/modem can provide to stream between two devices
You can use Nvidia gamestream if you like Nvidia's stuff, it fits somewhere between Steam In-Home and Parsec in its network requirements
Can't it stream 100Mbps ethernet?
It can
Well it comes than to the network medium then
You can't even play good Geforce now with less than 50mbps wifi 2.4Ghz
Parsec "works" on 5mbps connections, Nvidia gamestream is pretty balanced, Steam in-home will use as much bandwidth as it can get its hands on
No idea what that is but good luck 🥺
Well, right now I think I'm in a good position with parsec, I would, however, like to figure out if I can improve it.
lol that's funny
View the profiler on your hosting PC too
Its possible there's a little you can do to lessen latency on both ends, outside of the network stuff
I guess h.265 isn't being applied despite me specifically requesting it.
I understand there's no way to fix the latency on that front, but I want to know what causes the stream to hitch up on occasion, and if I can reduce or eliminate it.
go give GeForce Now free version a try for your steam games (it should support some of them)
you'll see how much different a good cloud gaming service provider is
GFN is quite a different service tho
it's still streaming multimedia no?
Cloud gaming vs your own/a friend hosting + Parsec's server in the middle
yeah but I have the same problems with my 35mbps connection
Yeah, I'm more interested in streaming direct from my main rig.
have you tried googling "how to relube my pc fan"
@fallow forge
Also nice thumb reveal
Also very dusty fan, pls clean
ay bro i joined randpms on parsec
why does mostly noone make white hardware?
@jovial tide got this
Micro center had them
Bought?
Yes
653$ total
Congratz bro worth it
It’s selling for 800$+ on eBay this version
See? local stores have them
i only know galax hall of fame and gigabyte vision (and also that one asus card) and that's it
Did they have 3070ti?

Micro center did but I joined a discord group and there’s a category for my location.
Someone bought it from there today and I went and got it
Good to hear
Yup
how much for 3070ti?
Around 1k
Jesus, bestbuy sells cheap
Or 800 something not sure
and when it comes to mobos there are like 1.5 mobos with actually white pcbs and they're all severely outdated
I'm actually tempted to buy one and sell for much more on Ebay the right time
the nzxt n7 is boring because it's just some plastic over a black pcb
It is entirely physically impossible to make a GPU with a white casing/backplate and price it under $4000
cookie
The thing is u can only buy 1 per house hold in that place
is it safde to joiun random people on parsec
If only people would just buy our sole limited edition $6000 white GPU model, maybe we'd make more SKUs of it
@brave field cookie Bestbuy Montreal sells Nvidia (not third party) 3070ti for 800CAD before tax
Like something similar to founders edition
This costed 600$ before tax
it'll cost me 920 CAD total = 730USD total
For that same version
No yours is 3060
730USD bestbuy buys me 3070TI
@lost fossil Are the white PCB mobos from MSI gone entirely now?
And it’s a oc edition
yes
Unfortunate, I thought they said white Mortar would continue to exist
Tomahawk Arctic is dead too, ow
12 best white boards
8 of 12 are brown boards with bits of white plastic on top
is a macbook the best for adobe programs?
I bought a mac for my study, a macbook pro with m1 chip
Is it really that good tho? havent tried it yet
I mean the new chip is faster. But i do know there could be some capability issues
But for adobe products it should good
Alr ty
Ya welcome
We tested one at my work
And it was some issued with a few of our apps
And btw, the logging in takes sometime like 4 secs is it because its brand new?
4 seconds is pretty fast
with logging in i mean when i press enter with password
For a M1 chip it would deff be fast
ohh cause with my old laptop it was like instant
Thats a pretty fast response time still if you think about it
Is it when you first turn it on
Or anytime you log off/lock it
ye but its prob because the touchbar has to start
everytime i just turn on my mac
i type in my password
press enter
and then it gives a loading bar
Yeah first time logins after boot could take few more seconfd
ahh okay
If it took longer then 10 seconds id say it would be odd
Faster in logging in?
4 seconds on boot is i think perfectly normal. Its not like windows where its an instant login
I mean im not an expert but that sounds normal to me for mac’s to take a few seconds
I would think so
Sweeet
The thing with boot times is unless you completely turn off your Mac it’s basically instant
Even when booting from a complete shutdown it take at most 10 seconds for me
Well same for my windows system
And at stock you can have even faster boot
Because superfetch
feel like buying another m.2 ssd
or just a normal ssd
Intel 12 and 13th gen looking so good
12 and 13 ? ":O coming out?
12 this year and 13 next year
This year we get 10 cores i5s ,12 cores i7 and 16 cores i9
Next year we should get 10 cores i5
16 cores i7 and 24 cores i9
I'm gonna be so sad if my laptop on the way with 11800H gets shat on
I hope Alder Lake is a good budget option
Cookie can you believe it? ordered 20 July, dell sends me the laptop september 3 arrives sept 14
The 10100 and 10400F are entirely uncontested right now, its so weird having Intel be such a steal right now, but I like it in a way. Competition is great for the consumer!
sadge
July to September, ow
It should be
I mean
People say
AMD IS BETTER THAN INTEL and stuff
In reality they are like 2% apart
Eh
I would say get whatever is cheaper
If both are at the same price i would choose intel tbh
Just because of AMD habit to cut corners
Good price though 3070 + 11800H + 240 Gsync monitor + 16 GB ram 3200 Ithink
The monitor is TN or VA?
Dell , ew
10% first time buy off + 200$ off laptop on sale
2500 -> 2160
idk if it's tn or va 🤷♂️
Seems to be IPS
how to find out?
It's good price then
I dont like dell stuff but meh
Their materials arent that good
idk I've never had dell laptops ever
Also customer supporr is trash for them
At least they are better than acer lmao
but I've heard from my friends their old laptops used to be very durable
acer's horrible
I have Aspire 5 A515-51G (8250u + mx150) it both thermal and power throttles
You planning to portable it or just use it as a pc
use it as a pc for the most part
Yea..
it should be equal to a 10th-9th gen pc with decent graphics card of that time
Using a laptop as a pc is just awful
It works for me though
Eh
You wont feel it until you switch
I have one of those 4-5 fan laptop stands + keyboard + mouse + xbox one controller
well I've had computers before
the only downside to this is small monitor
Laptops gets dirty fast
Their paste dries faster and loud
Plus storage
Storage is just bad
I can just buy a medium range monitor and connect it to the USB-c as displayport
and enjoy life ;))
Also pricing
Everything seems like rn but pcs are usually cheaper
Dont forget to take the bettery out while using in socket
But also dont forget to charge it atleast once every month
Idk I've heard from a hardware pro that you dont need to do that for modern laptops like more recent ones
they cut it out automatically
Power still runs through it to charge
but this acer's battery got screwed probably because of connecting it to AC 24/7
Not many laptops fully disable the charging
They just slow down the charging
But also at least discharge and chrage it once a month
people also say fully discharging it is not a good idea either
recharging stresses more when it's at 0
how much is a new battery?
I think if it's like 50-70 dollars after 2-3 years wouldn't worry me
@acoustic vigil

I don't have a cars lmao. I just bought a rtx 3080 ti from ebay at 2069$ CAD (no taxes) My wallet is crying right now
Trois-Rivières
I will try sell my rtx 2070 super around 800$ to get some money back
Too far away, but still maybe worth to buy graphics directly
I live in dollard-des-ormeaux
Oh ok
But you sure best buy at montreal garantee graphic card at store ? I guess you need to wait outside for a long time too
Your place is equally far from both La Capitale and Montreal
You can call and ask if they have in stock (which they usually do) and then you need to bring proof you live in Quebec - they give you 1 graphics card rtx 3000 per household
3070TI for 800$ I think is worth the trip
@vapid basin So wifi is a medium
Like cables, or wimax or your phones LTE
It does not necessarily define how much quality a connection has
Also internet infrastructure for the most part uses fibers, a shit ton of fibers
You only use wifi to connect to your local modem/router device then after that it's all some sort of cable/fiber connection
actually I use a fiber optic connection
idk if that correlates to what you’re talking about
like there’s a whole fiber cable going out the crib just for wifi
Idk how exactly it works for you
There are many possibilities when it comes to having an internet connection from an ISP
But all n all your ISP connects to the internet most certainly through fiber networks
Now connecting to that (end user to isp) isp might be through ADSL/VDSL/Wireless (wimax/lte/point to point radio of some sort/etc)/Fiber/Cable
thing is, I’m pretty sure using a vpn will indefinitely affect your wifi speed negatively. Which is why certain big service providers will offer you the best possible/fast server
And there's also uncommon ones like laser communications and satellite
and I’m not really a big fan of hampering speed
bet
what r good leds to put behind monitors and desk
I'm gonna try to find a good infographic for this
want the ones I got like
two weeks ago
are you from the U.S?
Cali?
canada
go to eBay and search up led strip lights @lilac fable

yeah ill go look on ebay
do you have seperate leds for both the back desk and mointor
I don’t have my led connected to the monitor

A glue that holds it
