Im not sure if LEDs are in series or in parallel in your particular case, if they are in series and one LED goes dumb in the middle, it can affect the rest, or perhaps make them flicker.

The whole physics engine of the game is designed around controller rather than wheel/pedal set. It's playable, but it's not the best.

but Assetto Corsa is another great option, and I would say so is Project Cars 2

and then for driving games that aren't racing games, there's obviously the truck simulators by SCS Software
