1660S/ti perform slightly better than a 1070 but availability is going to be terrible

If a 3060 at MSRP is in your budget, that's pretty much it

it sucks compared to the 3060 ti but unlike anything 16/20 series, its at least in production, so you have a chance of getting on at MSRP

Well its not actually 14 days straight of being powered on unless she actively keeps it on, its just 14 days worth of hours from fast startup being used

Not unhealthy but hibernate and fast startup share this issue where ram usage is a bit higher after each suspend/resume

wouldn't hurt to restart it though, which does an actual shutdown process instead of the fast startup one

Is ray-tracing/RTX supposed to make games more realistic, or is it just to enable devs to make more highly customized reflections/shadows in games? Alternatively, is ray-tracing largely just a gimmick to sell more expensive hardware for minor graphical "improvements"?

Also, If you haven't already, I recommend taking a look at the ray tracing options you have now for when you do eventually jump to a more powerful gpu. It really is up to preference, but I personally think the games look really fucking gorgeous with ray tracing turned on.

I don't recommend actually playing games with ray tracing enabled with your current gpu, but turn it on just to see how it looks for you, then turn it back off.

even if there was a bad mismatch and you had to run 2133, capacity>speed a good 95% of the time
For every instance of "too slow ram," there's 50 of "not enough ram." Not to say 16gb isn't enough, but 24 doesn't really have a downside if you run the same mhz, cl, and timings
