But i think part of it is also due to the push for all these new features that offer a rather negligible difference in visuals, but greatly affect the performance, which makes that decade lasting upgrade less and less likely. Nvidia or AMD can only do so much to make their product good, the other side of this thing are the developers, that make these games for these graphics cards.

i have a nitro 5 (used), and it took two applications of thermal compound (cleaning the previous) for the cooling to work normally for the CPU, so cooling is the main issue. battery life is going to suck regardless of health (mine is about 82%, and I get 2 hours of normal™ use)
