that ur main pc ??
Yes it's my gaming PC
do u find problems with the ryzen 5 5600 ?
Arc B580 might have some problems with performance on older games though
I play almost only new stuff so I'm not sure
Nah
I can get more than 60fps on all games I play
I'm satisfied with that
ye bro me idc about playing in 4k i just wanna play in 1080p 60fps or maybe even 100fps i just want a playable enjoyable experience so i think a ryzen 5 5600g to start with is pretty good then when i get the money i could get a good gpu
R5 5600 is only CPU though and Arc B580 is my GPU
when i get a good gpu am planning to change my ryzen 5 5600g with a ryzen 7 5700x3d is this good ?
also bro what motherboard u be using ?
Asus Prime B550 M-K
Not really that much, but I usually buy cheaper models
Some have aRGB controller so if you want to have customizable RGB lighting then you should look for those
me too what do u think about the msi b450m-a pro max ii ?
That's your motherboard?
am buying it
i found a good prebuild with a good price and am saving for it rn
It's pretty limited on CPU support though
5000 series is highest you can buy for it
Same with my mobo though
does it support the ryzen 7 5700x3d ??
nah bro u dont have to worry about it there is pretty good 5000 series cpus bro
Yeah seems like it, but might need BIOS update if it's too old
Same with my motherboard, but it came with new BIOS
True, but when I'm upgrading next time I will probably buy new system
tell me do u have problems playing games on ur current pc ?
Not really
I play GTA V Enhanced/Cyberpunk 2077/ The Last of Us Part II
And haven't had any problems with those games
idk R9 5900x3d seems to be kinda costly
it not the x3d it the x
idk if it the x3d that is expensive but the x version is pretty affordable
wait a sec lemme check again
me personally i would route gpu cables there for a straight run that would look better
You can get Ryzen 7 7700x at same price it seems
That needs new motherboard though
Straight what.
straight cable
I need cable extensions at least.
yeah that's the next step
Because this white into black right in the middle is so ass.
I'm thinking if I need a lightbar.
you probably don't
yes this why i cant do that and i just found out it expensive i saw a website selling it for way cheap this why i thought it was cheap ill prolly just stick with the ryzen 7 5700x3d or the 7 5800x
doesn't it make a monitor and surrounding less harsh for eyes?
Yeah if you go to R9 5900x way then maybe it would be better to get R7 7700x as it seems to get 10fps more in some games
aight bro ty
Actually I see pretty similar fps counts on Ryzen 5 5700x3d and ryzen 7 7700x
Ryzen 7000 series has more upgrade potential though as am4 is kinda dead socket
what about the 7 5700x cuz the x3d is a bit costy for me is there a big difference ?
ye bro am6 is on the way and we still using m4 💔😭
am4 is a no-go for a fresh build in 2025 unless you found a killer deal on a 5700x3d
Lmao 5 5700x3d cost as much as r9 5900x
I see only 30€ difference
for me there is a big diffrence cuz in my country the prices are diffrent
Lowest I see is 260€ brand new
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/n69XzP
Recently upgraded to this list, not looking for upgrades just wanna hear thoughts
P.S list went up almost $350 USD
I paid $1200 USD for all of it
Part List - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Radeon RX 9060 XT, MUSETEX K2 ATX Mid Tower
Can be better , that ram is kinda slow
Wakemimimi him
Microsoft store, why must you do this to me every time?

He sits idle all day doing nothing but only start working when you open it, like you play games during your work time and as soon as the boss come in you switch screens
For $100
I barely need a second monitor tbh I just want it for the convenience it sometimes offers
But like, might aswell get something good right
Instead of a beat up 60hz lcd from 2011
Still looking at options
i mean, as long as the size matches
well
no
I don't want the second one to be 27 too
or you get smth that is the same in width as the height of your main and then you place it vertically
that's right
🙅♂️
Well look
the one I have been considering for the longest time is 24.5" flat
I don't know if it matches in terms of
height
But it should be pretty close
16:9 curved is a bad format in my objective opinion
Again I didn't choose this I got it for free
I wouldn't want curved to begin with
Transporting it home I was worried it would split in half
so
this is 414
mine is 560
but how do they measure these dimensions
because it's 370mm when I measure the height

I've never seen someone actually measure a monitor instead of just relying on the screen diameter
Because I don't know what these numbers represesnt exactly
It says W x H x D which supposedly is width, height and depth but
when I go to measure it's different
I'm confused, are you comparing the measurements of your own monitor to some random monitor on the store? or is that the spec sheet to your monitor?
Oh I see what's going on
They are measuring the width as the width of monitor with the stand when the monitor sits at the top like this
My monitor to another monitor I want to get
To see if the height matches roughly or if it looks weird
So the active display area is pretty much the same in terms of height
at 320mm
If both monitors are 24.5" and 16:9 they are almost the same size anyway, depending on the bezel
29" also works
curse
lifted
34 > 29
That's why my current gaming monitor is 34

noctua 5080 cost 1500euro 💀
Who buy a nuctua product
Slow RAM, GPU and CPU combo is... interesting.
linuth teht tibs
b-b-b-but they will give a free bracket after 10 years!!!!111
(it cost them maybe a buck)
now we wait for their pumpless AIO
Its not my best work I'll admit but i think it'll be fine for a few years
As for ram i could upgrade that down the lind
I haven't noticed a difference between my old rig and new rig in terms of ram so
Noctua is good if you want something to install and forget about
And to get the best performance from a fan
Sounds like just about any CPU cooler out there
Like, what's the worst that happens? A fan breaks? Buy another one for a couple bucks and live happily ever after.
It's just that you are leaving some potential performance gains off of the table, just because you went with a slower kit. Yes, it will still be absolutely fast, but the full potential is not there.
worst? a whiney fan
Nah, one is 24.5 and the other is 27 curved
Both 16:9 yeah
I don't really care that much
But after doing the calculations, I will be left with just 20cm or so on my desk since it's gonna be 130cm
With having the two monitors horizontal
Btw are monitor arms usually VESA compatible?
Or am I gonna have to buy adapters
What if your use doesn't accept failure? That's when cost is irrelevant.
reckon it’s worth upgrading to oled?

Based
it’s definitely better then my old 1080p aoc monitor 😭
but oled seems appetising
Probably a day and night difference
ya
Fish
@quartz kayak
Yes
NB (North Bayou) is a reputable brand right
I found this
Not many reviews but the one I saw was good
your monitor not give the option?
I thought they woul tell you if you want an arm or not
That so called failure happens when, once every 10 years?
I don't need one
I want one so I can have more desk space and have the monitors line up
i don't know what a north bayou is but why would you buy that when arctic exists
it's not really, since its logo is a clear ripoff of new balance (wtf is the connection there anyway) which means it's not a reputable brand, but i have a couple of their monitor arms and they're good
but mine are wall mounted, the f150
Bruh wall mounted a ford truck
hell yeah
arctic is for 1st world countries, 2nd at most, and had lives in a 4th world one
so do i, but in a different one
😔
that's why i've heard of north bayou
wtf is arctic
don't they make fans or something
and monitor arms
if you can drill holes in your walls i heavily recommend getting 2 f150s instead of the one u posted
I found the arctic Z2
why tho
first so that your monitors stay put when you do things to your desk in a fit of rage
second so that your monitors are disconnected from each other if that makes sense ||it doesn't||
Yeah I know what you mean
But the arm is pretty sturdy and I don't rage
Lining them up could be a bit of a pain, but once they do lign up they will stay like that forever
it also looks cleaner when there isn't a piece of metal going from your desk to somewhere
Actually I really like that look for some reason
The arm extended there
and like, there's gonna be cables anyways so with the arm there serving a function (being an arm) and also running the cables through it it's good
they go through the arm and then disappear under the desk inside a net
Hi
uh oh
Nu me and had been into the gaming
this exist
this shit is so
guess ||250$||
as
Thats crazy
Alot of monitors cost around that and they already have a base
🥹
Skizz omg
In all honesty im like the most average gamer to even notice differences aside from going from a 5800 cpu to a 7800x3d cpu and going from a 6600 gpu to a 9060 gpu
I think it just accepted im gonna have an average pc with all the price increases coming and shit. That's why i expedited the process too cuz i didn't wanna pay more than what i did.
Everywhere
I got new pc
Well not everything
I went to the zoo and to the ocaenary i ve been all around the country so i havent been much on until the past week

I saw those at columbus zoo
I saw penguins too
No dolphins thooo

I think i wanna go to Pittsburgh zoo
Next year
Also check dms
Sorry for this beeing in tech channel i forgor
that's definitely flirting

Fancy name for "guy who makes things"
Cars are just boxes with wheels and an engine
me when i forget i have a glass mousepad and accidentally smash it
probably should have bought an artisan instead
they have soft and xsoft options perfect for smashing
someone gave you a glass mousepad? damn
Psspsss shhh
I swear oldreo thats the worst emote to react with
100 dollars ????
do you not know what an artisan mousepad is
i'm not american
gonna see if its legit it comes today
have fun
i need a new mousepad, but my heart wants to pay like 350 dollars for a pen instead
what pen costs that much
quite a lot of them, if you know how to spend money on weird things
like a pen you write with?
is it one of those fancy ones you dip into the ink
or those you can fill
i'm not that old-fashioned that i'd go outside with an inkstone and brush 👴

Just got a 1500VA UPS, 32in 1080p and a Intel s2000 series server for $500 aud
⁉️
saw this coming
I was trying to find what server it was to see how good of a deal it was lol
Is a letter or number missing?
ah thats the series, but the model here is s2600wf
cost alot too
Whose the electrical engineer
no user serviceable parts inside
wrong the battery is
we see no battery in the pic
not mine
I love spreading misinformation, just like a heatsink spreads heat
i will have you jailed for this
the UPS reports an input voltage of 195v my voltmeter says my wall is 230v
voltage regulator might be faulty?
i think its the voltage sense
how much voltage its outputing
could also be the shitty electricity supply in his area
or voltmeter
ive seen Offline UPS units output lower voltage when they are on battery source not the wall... like in backup mode
Yea it doesnt output the 195v
bypass mode cant engage bypass because of bypass AC low voltage
and the battery to AC doesnt output
nuh uh
i think router ero can help frfr
Where's this rating
well australia appliances are generally rated for 220 to 240v, the ups just had 240 set so i just changed it to 230 since that matches my wall
Got it to run in normal mode with inverting the sensed 208v to 240v, 2nd time around i only got bypass working with output at 208v which would trip on any large load since anything below 205v causes a low bypass voltage error
@civic cloud yo
Can you send a good picture of how you have your PC under the desk?
I might do the same thing for my dezk

SUPPORT OUR BLACK MARKET GPU MOVIE: https://store.gamersnexus.net/black-market-gpu-backers (launches August 15 to YouTube)
In this video, we're recapping Intel's last year of downward spiral as it has failed to launch competitive CPU products, has delayed, slowed, and canceled fab construction projects, has swapped CEOs, and has laid off tens of...
people are so eager to shit on amd that this satirical take is not even funny 😭
It is though
i thought that said incel
that says a lot about u

This reminds of FiveM gta roleplay server, one guy asked in ooc (out of character) chat that his cpu is 100% and I said "Buy AMD" everyone spammed xD
Well AMD is currently just the superior option
Indeed
And I pinned this comment in that short video
beautiful comment
I can see why they say “WHAT.” Considering AMD makes and owns Ryzen
myea
It be like someone saying: Apple M4 Max >> Apple
Or M5 Max Idfk what chipset they are on atp
m4 only
M2026 probably
m4 competition
They switching iOS from 18 to 26
tim cooking
Wouldn’t be surprised if they do it w the next iPhones too
Trying to match it with the release year although they should’ve done it sooner
iOS 26 Beta is
I would NOT recommend getting it unless you have at least the iPhone 16 or 15 pro max
It cannot handle it otherwise
The features of it are fine I guess, kinda mid compared to other OS releases
Will a 500w UPS be enough to keep my PC (i5 13400f and 3060 ) along with my monitor (according to msi it draws 53W) on during an outage?
if ur cpu and gpu aint overclocked ,i believe its enough
I have this but it needs new batteries, better than buying a whole new one for $60-70
All stock speeds yeah
500W, or 500VA? It should list the maximum wattage per outlet on the ups
Ahh, then you should be fine once you get the replacement battery, yeah
But generally this thing is not considered efficient at all right?
The ratings are weird
wtf is a va anyway
Exactly
certainly not voice actor
Volt ampers
i was going to suggest that but it just sounds stupid
Which idk what that means either
I thought it meant Volts*Amps, so when I got my "550 VA" UPS and it couldn't handle my 450W PC, I got confused
Because watts is voltsxamps
Exactly
So not sure what this is
very angelic
Ngl
Trying to look up what VA means just keeps making me even more confused

But what’s important is it’s 600w
Doesn’t say anything about mah though so idk how long it might last
Hopefully long enough to finish my CS match so I don’t get banned
Again
va is just used for reactive loads
you'll probably need a ups for your internet box too, then
if the power brick is 5v then u can probably just use a phone power bank
That’s connected to the uh
UPS that we use to power home stuff
Like lights and internet
ok good
That one lasts quite a while
No

How do you measure VA
Oh it just uses a normal acid battery
biohazard?
I can change this out myself then
But why tf is the battery uh
Blown?
It has a belly
Also seems to have spilled some…acid?

So much for non-spillable
You never had an old phone huh?
It's an old as fuck battery and should be discarded
I’ve had that happen on my phone
Yes see
But this is not that old tbh
I changed the battery about a year or two ago and never used it
This liquid is sketchy whatever it is I’m gonna have to be careful with this
The cables are calcified too
Welp, come back to this after work
If it was also never plugged in, that's why
You have to disconnect the battery if it's going to sit unplugged for extended periods of time

how does this look

ill swap out the ssd if i buy this though
500gb is not enough, say, 2tb
those are called 'spicy pillows'
if you have a lead acid battery that turns into a spicy pillow, something has gone horrifically wrong
am4 is a problem though
oh i thought that was just a spicy pillow
its something else
my bad
Why is it naked
because the pc is so hot 👅
freaky
the guy has the glass panel somewhere
:cat_no:
with glass
Where is front and top panel
yeah its a
idk
It's under there
(i eated them 💔)

If that’s a pillow then it’s the hardest pillow ever
The bulge is hard
🤨
First time in here and senior mods are talking about their bulge
i havent even put this up for sale
These white builds are so good
cool looking but am4 is an issue
But I prefer something more lowkey tbh
You want a prebuilt right?
i want to build my own pc which i already have planned
this is cheaper
this highkey the best channel together with #anime-manga
i could replace the mb with this one in the future if i were to upgrade to am/ddr5
exact same mb but chipset is different
I don’t think upgrading to am5 alone is worth it if you’re not also getting a GPU that’s more powerful
If your cpu can keep up (and beat) your gpu then upgrading to am5 is kinda useless
9070xt not powerful enough?
would a 7700x be slow enough for 9070xt?
man i donnow
buying used pcs is cheaper
Wdym slow enougt
It’s sufficient
If you don’t wanna pay extra for a 7800x3D
And unless you want to play competitive games at 240+ fps then you don’t need a 7800X3D
Is it just me or are the ZTT prebuilts expensive asf
Like this is 1.2k?
7800x3d is the best you can get with AM4, and it's equal with 7700x, my current CPU
ZTT?
the 5800X3D*
7800x3d is not am4
Oh yeah 5800x3d not 7800x3d mb
i was like, "Shit, i coulda upgraded even more??"
7800x3d was a good performance cpu right? Like one of the best 400-500€ range cpus
but i need a better gpu than anything else. well, more vram
The best cpu for gaming
In the meantime consider: less demanding games
i play the same 5 games, and i want them to perform well
You have 3060 right
3070ti
the performance of the chip isn't the problem, it's the lack of vram

I want to say that’s not bad but it’s just that we’ve gotten used to these ridiculous prices
You’re probably better off finding a used 3090 or smth
i wanted an on-sale 3080, but it was out of stock, so I "settled" for the 3070ti, and every time I settle for something I don't want, it bites me in the ass
here:
If the 3090 second hand would drop down to like $400 or slightly less next year I’ll buy it for sure

Bro I should've came to Lebanon when the opportunity presented itself

theres a neat guide for minimalism: dont buy a problem, if its not at least a 9/10 dont buy it (also applies to clothes and furniture)
"Went"

Gl coming here now
Although I did meet a guy from the UK here today
Not right now no
this was years ago and I hadn't looked up performance stuff, but it was better to have gotten it than nothing overall. It was during Black Friday sales so everything was going out of stock
I mean it’s about $480 rn
The problem is that it’s so good
And that’s also what makes it good
Steal
This is crazy
okidoki
Water cooled gpu but intel stock cooler
But isn't the 3090 close to 3080 Ti
dude put 90% budget into the gpu and cooling
With mustard and ketchup cables
Like very close

One stick of ram no heatsink
Perhaps
Less vram though
3080ti from Palit for $380
Wait no
$350
coom cooling
Bro buy
and that pc either has to be a joke or a testbed, i refuse to believe that those parts were intentional
and switch to dark mode if your phone's at 5% tf
I'll buy it
LMAO it does look like that
I’m using fb on browser
Don’t think I can do that
F
I gotta drop like $140 on monitor arm and new monitor
And some more on other accessories I shall buy
Nein
Double monitor look
All I be playing is GTA and CS2 anyways
Some BF6
And RDR2 if I get bored of all the above
It bugs me why they don’t include tax with the prices
$36 monitor arm is now $40 + $3 for delivery $43
$89 monitor becomes like $98

Ordered the dual arm just now
Monitor once everything is done and I get the electrician to route LAN cable to my room
@civic cloud never sent the pic I asked for
He was busy
is getting the electrician to do that cheaper than getting a powerline adapter? I've never used one myself, so I can only bring them up like this
you don't need an electrician to do ethernet cables
is that fan to pull exhaust heat away, to cool the area next to it, or is it just there rn?

its going to have a proper storage spot after my room remodeling (bought a murphy bed)
Hadi he actually sent @rapid lake
I don’t have the tool to get the cable through the very tight tubes in the walls
We don’t have a circuit map either and it’s going from the living room where the router is all the way across the hallway and to my room
A what
network over the power-carrying copper in your walls
They can be a hit or miss, really depends on the wiring in a house
I see
I thought it was all wood
I cba to go and get those S brackets for the woodworker because he won’t do them himself
So I’ll just ask him to make it out of wood and then I’ll get those brackets later
Wiring in our house is kind of (really) messed up I don’t think the phone line runs all the way my room
If you have access to a metal workshop you could just get a beeeeeeeg sheet of steel and bend it twice at 90° to get a C Shape
Better off with a mesh system with dedicated backhaul and use the Ethernet from one of the satellites.
Mine works a treat
I’d be happy with anything that works
Until I move out and do everything as I want
I mean, can you imagine that instead of running wires (sattelite tv and internet cable) through the dedicated pipes on the roof which lead to the apartment’s wiring, instead they just hand the cable down from the roof and drill a holl through the walls for it?
You cannot fix this
Granted those same pipes were literally sending rainwater down one of the outlets in the walls because they aren’t properly covered or sealed
Little perspective on a fourth world country

This is what I have and it’s decent, you can get better ones of course.
The Powerline adapters are like 40-100 bucks, depending on what you get
Can you explain what this is
WiFi mesh system
So first one would replace your router or could run alongside it then the others you setup where you want in the house
Seems way out of my budget though and not something I need
So it’s just like wifi extenders for your main router
Those don’t work that well
It’s better than WiFi extenders
We got thick walls
How so
I don’t know how to explain it as I’m not an expert lol
But they talk to each other and have a dedicated backhaul channel which frees up the channels you use
Do the other ones connect through cables in the walls instead of wirelessly
No it’s all wireless
So then it’s just glorified wifi extenders
But they all have Ethernet ports giving you Ethernet anywhere
Only these look cuter and can communicate with each other
I mean it’s cool and all but not what I’m looking for
Wifi coverage is good everywhere here unless you’re using a phone fron 2010
But for the gaming and whatnot LAN is the only way
I just need one cable
Best get the old extendo cable out then I guess
Like I have the main one in the hallway and then the others spread out mainly where I need to plug lan cables in.
where are you from?
what i'm saying is that a mesh system is not a be all and end all solution when your walls are made from something other than wood and cardboard
i gotta commend had for putting in the efford to get wired network to his room
Just said it was decent for me
i also have a mesh system at home
but i also have an ethernet cable going to my room

my rule of toe is that if a device doesn't move around, i connect it with a cable
Eventually I want to switch to a more reputable ISP not this local one, then I’ll be using phone lines which I can easily route to wherever I want because they’re so thin
And I’ll have a bunch of routers everywhere or smth
just get a cable going to your room and connect it to a network hub in your room
respawnsible
Why network hub
I need to plug in one thing
well, when you need to connect another thing, put a network hub there then
i thought you had something else there too, not just the pc
Maybe if I get like a raspberry pi or smth, or another PC
Or a server
Lots of hmmthings
I just wanna stop spending money
But then all this cool stuff appears
idk what the context is but unmanaged switches are king and also $8
Stuff I probably don’t need lmao, like I don’t even need a second monitor tbh
I’ll get one when I need one
But what I’m saying is no one told me getting a PC would trigger a chain of purchases from stuff like peripherals to things that just look cool and other things I don’t need
I even got to changing my room, which has been like this since 20 years or more
it's all for the greater good
Crazy stuff
Absolutely
It's better this way
spend money on wired internet and good displays. Some spend it all on RGB fans and end up having to double spend
that's not how it works unless you have specific segmentation requirements (besides a router can do all that anyway)
I have multiple routers at home because multiple lines - I have two symmetrical 500mbps lines coming in for home-work stuff, and they're on separate routers which connect to each other for load balancing and backup connected to a meraki network, a higher-end consumer fiber line for home-only stuff + general entertainment connected to a unifi network, and a 200mb line with a dedicated vpn+rotating vps setup for gaming with no wireless and a unifi non-wireless router
I just don’t want anything to interfere with my internet
With the speeds we get here that’s not possible unless you have your own internet just for you
Any load will make the internet slower and add a noticeable latency
as i said, you get one router per internet line
VDSL would be 80mbps max
depends on the access policies for your area i guess
but if it's purely vdsl then it's prolly not much faster
the big killer with VDSL tho is the upload speed which is pretty critical to gaming
fiber can be so much better (if you pay for higher tiers or if the lines offered in your area are symmetrical as it is in certain countries)
Fiber coverage is so bad here
They move like turtles
The country is literally smaller than a small state
Granted, these local ISPs have 1GB fiber I’m pretty sure, they just sort of distribute it into slower speeds
And they work with (or for) other bigger companies, though they do not represent them
it's more about the demand for links in a certain area as well
i had the problem when i lived in the south of france a while back
one of the richest areas on this planet and i couldn't even get fiber in our sticky-out bit on the coast
i had to buy a microwave backhaul link from the other side of the bay because i didn't want to deal with the latency of satellite
when that went out I only had adsl 💀
Do you pay full price for the Cisco stuff? @steel sentinel
And are your router/modems/APs all separate components?
well yes ofc, well i am now
my home network was managed by an msp until quite recently and they only do a rental model with the meraki stuff
and i was actually paying way more than the equipment cost because that supposedly included support
i had more than a few problems with them so was already in the process of getting rid of the msp, and now i have more time i decided just to rearchitect the entire network myself
i didn't want to over-futz on a daily basis babysitting stuff and i also wanted functional compatibility for work so my home-work network is meraki and the rest is unifi
sounds really fun
not really
i just need it to work and for me to be able to make the changes i need quickly
I would rather have got someone else in but the problem is despite not being in IT I'm more capable with it than most in IT so watching them work annoys me

No rom , no read only memory , oreo have no storage

Yooo
alright so like I said CPUs and GPUs are the most important, the cpu takes care of core logic in games, like AI and physics, ACs (anti cheats) also eat up some cpu processing power if included in a game, gpus take care of visuals in general
your best choices are an AMD CPU and a Nvidia GPU, Intel CPUs are unnecessarily overpriced so just skip them
what about like a cooler? I see some people have water or fans in their pcs?
necessary to keep temp low, those stuff are always cheap so no need to prioritise them
theres two cooling solutions
Air and water
air is pretty self explanatory, the heatsink absorbs heat from the components and it gets cooled by fans
water has essentially two types:
all in ones and custom water loops
all in ones are a little pricey but usually are better for cooling the more power hungry pc's
custom loops are stupid expensive, hard to maintain and dont offer much performance increase unless you are doing stuff like overclocking
i would just get something like the peerless assasin 120 which is a very cheap and beefy air cooler, ive installed one myself and its suuuper straight forward
im scared the water might screw up the pc
custom loop might have chance , aio 0 chance
yea
chance will be high if the fittings not suitable (even like few mm might have chance to leak water)
Ima go w air
peerless SE cost like 30$ ish or lower
its crazy how cheap it is
What other components make up a pc besides gpu and cpu?
mobo , psu , ram , storage and case
Im going to need a rundown on what those are
motherboard (where the cpu, gpu, ram and storage connect)
power supply (what feeds electricity to all the parts)
ram ( short access memory basically, it stores data temporarily and sends it to the cpu)
cpu (brains of the operation, processes data)
gpu (graphics card, processes the video output)
storage (be it a hard drive, a solid state drive or an nvme solid state drive, it stores your files and stuff)
case (where everything is built on)
Is the cooling optional?
no
nope
its a must else u will thermalthrottle or cant even on your computer
parts get electricity fed to them, that generates heat that needs to be removed to prevent parts from overheating and keep them performing as good as possible
mobo , psu , ram , cpu , storage and cpu fan = minimum
gpu and case
like another one?
wym another one
I see
Gpu isnt in the minimum
if you have a higher end system you do need more air flowing
it is for gaming
because theres cpu with igpu
some cpus come with an integrated graphics section but they dont perform great in gaming
though amd has been killing it with their igpus recently
Wtf is igpu!?
integrated graphics processing unit
a mini graphics card that comes with some cpus
ive seen HEDT with like 4 fans only
aerodynamic moment
like in the little square that is the cpu
i mean fair
Is it two separate things?
its on the cpu itself like next to the cpu-die or below
Igpu comes with cpu but not gpu?
the igpu comes with the cpu
the igpu is a gpu
ok so igpu is like a weaker version of dedicated gpu , while gpu = gpu.....
☝️
🖥 CPU (Central Processing Unit)
Often called the “brain” of the computer.
Handles general-purpose processing — running programs, executing instructions, managing system tasks.
Good at sequential tasks and decision-making.
Example: Intel Core i7, AMD Ryzen 5.
🎮 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)
A processor designed for parallel processing.
Originally made for rendering images, videos, and animations, but also used for heavy math tasks like AI, simulations, and crypto mining.
Can be dedicated (separate card with its own memory, e.g., NVIDIA RTX 4060) or integrated into the CPU.
💻 iGPU (Integrated GPU)
A GPU that’s built into the CPU or motherboard.
Shares system memory (RAM) instead of having its own VRAM.
More power-efficient and cheaper, but less powerful than a dedicated GPU.
Example: Intel Iris Xe, AMD Radeon Vega (integrated).
hope u understand chatgpt's info
i was about to say that it seemed like chat gpt wrote that until i saw the last line 😭
if someone who cant understand chatgpt info they might need help frfr
console players
plug and play is destroying tech literacy
those damn phones
so igpu comes separately? How can you take apart igpu from cpu?
it comes with the cpu, in the same little square
and no you cant separate them
but you can have an igpu and a regular gpu in the same pc
ok if u want a deeper info igpu-die is with cpu's die itself like fused together inside the die
So igpu doesnt matter if its connected to the cpu then
What is die?
you are going to confuse them
even more
u can see the dark blue ish like below the green/lime colour its the igpu
too bad since he is confused about why igpu is with cpu
Yeaaa idk
the red circle on blue , another red circle on dark blue = gpu
Okkk where the igpu?
red circle on dark blue = igpu ............
Is the igpu not connected to the cpu?
it is connected it talks to each other
this part is the igpu
Zen cord is cpu?
indeed
power supply unit
that the plug in?
yes it plug in into hardware to supply power
yes......get a mid-better one
cheap one will turn ur whole pc into bomb have been planted
Okokok
let me ask you.....is it important to have battery for ur phone , is it important to have electricity for your house
Both
But electricity powers them both
im confused 😵💫
Storage is like storage for storage?
yes.........
like gb/tb for game storage and what not
Its important but for more preferences?
Depending on which games I run im assuming
hdd : most of the time its to store ur stuff that isnt important
ssd/nvme : sometimes it use to store OS and some games
operating system (windows)
hard drive, old type of storage with a mechanical disc
solid state drive, a more modern type of storage
nvme are a type of ssd that are (usually) connected directly to the motherboard instead of through a cable
theyre faster than regular ssd drives
im really dumbing this down
ok so all 3 have pros and cons
HardDisk drive pros : more storage for cheaper cost , Cons : slow
Solid state drive pros : fast , cons : slight expensive
non volatile memory pros : very fast , cons very expensive
Another way
If you don't have enough to get the target build, just invest all the money in future proofing
Only future proof ur cooler and psu lol
What is “future proofing”?
- Midrange motherboard that supports DDR5
- somewhat fast ddr5
- a good PSU
- a good cooler
Then you may upgrade the CPU, GPU and SSD however you like
Wait how old are you?
im middle aged i think
RAM form factor or something
Mid 20’s
Basically the generation
How old are yall!?!?
A midrange motherboard are the ones start with B
Double data rate , the number is generation
?????
B760
B860
B850

yeah yall are on some stuff
Ok bye
Wtf is this!?
How can u forget the one and only b650 series

It doesn't support ddr5
What is the current generation ddr?
5
Thats b550 , b650 support am5 lol
What can I get away with?
Just wait for camm2 and maybe am6 if u dont plan to upgrade like this or next year
Ooh
I dont know what that is
ddr5?
i think y'all are being trolled
I'm just farming exp
Almost 20s
at the cost of your mental health
Troll-reo

Does any of this come with what I posted?
Why are you posting my factorio map
