I redid the thermal paste and now my temps seem slightly better. My fans are no longer revving up on the desktop screen.
I forgot to take a picture but there were three distinct scorch spots on the heat sink where the CPU goes.
I ran Skyrim and Rise of the Tomb Raider and it didn't overheat although it did briefly spike to 94 C on ROTTR before going back down to the 70s
It's good enough for now. I plan on getting a new computer soon anyway.
