Yeah for whatever reason in the BIOS they have "fan always enabled" (on) which is weird since it doesn't need it that often so i disabled it.
In forums i saw a lot of people disabling that and have fans last for longer... but hey fans are easy to replace (most of the times)

It can in theory, but it looks like it's very picky about different types of remotes. The Logitech Harmony series seems to work with it, but they're super expensive.

Right, so wifi to wifi, would be a extender connected wirelessly to your router, a wired one is wired to your router, which then has its own wifi you can connect to. If you do Wifi to Wifi for an extender, you are most likely just gonna waste money and not fix the issue, a wired extender on the other hand can get you closer to the basement while not relying on a double wifi connection
