AMD would have to continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Paying OEMs like they used to will be a little different when you have this much hype and blind support from most consumers. Plus, the semi-custom deals with the consoles
3 brands is good for consumers, 2 isnt
they wasted so much potential with server cpu marketshare during corona
isnt like ryzen epyc better than intels?
(i am not into server specs so i have no idea)
enterprise adoption is slow, you want reliable stuff for businesses
and the cpus were a bit wonky at times
enterprise pcs/laptops as well
i specced out intel laptops at 100-200 bucks more just because they were certified for applications
and managing both intel/amd drivers in big corps is a major pain
Don't be worried about radeon because only radeon can kill radeon
They dont have to worry because they are the makers of the consoles GPUs
That's sony,xbox and steamdeck.
xbox would be the first to switch if intel can bring out a comparable proprietary platform for consoles
Wellllll
and consoles are just a small slice compared to the pc market
Amd doesn't only provide the gpu
hence why i said platform
And they have years of experience
intel has been producing small and proprietary all in ones for years as well
check out the intel NUCs
It's pretty cool but also pretty expensive
which is probably the main reason they havent been prevalent in the console market
Those are small power efficient mini PC's, not sure how those are comparable to consoles
you just summed up what a console is
well no
they're all x64
they come with separate GPU which defeats the purpose of a console SOC
Well, then riddle me this - why are they not used in consoles?
The console chips always seem to be some mobile-derived low clock bins
as stated above, probably the price
I dont recall seeing an intel powered console before
Thats not the kinda market intel seems to be targetting
The more competitors - the better
I am only for intel entering the market
Of course, it will take some time before they truly become a good alternative, but those days are not that far away, if they keep at it
yes, but i'd wish they could go against higher end gpus first. that's where it hurts nvidia
You cant just release a high end GPU when starting out on GPU market
hence why it's a wish
That kinda stuff also would probably take huge investments
Low end is what hurts nvidia the most because that's the type of gpus that are actually selling
Check steam hardware survey.
anyone know how to solve ?
nvidia is going hard into the enterprise market. they made record profit with their enterprise GPUs due to the AI boom. that's where the money is right now
people are gobbling up high end gpus for their chatgpt training
yes
Never really understood that survey. Why is the most used AMD card on that list simply called "AMD radeon graphics"...?
They asked how
ipgu
I remember seeing the 580 there
You wanna say the most used GPU from AMD from gamers is an iGPU...?
yes
That just doesnt make sense to me
considering that they are the ones with the budget offerings
Apus
and thats what most people buy
And more efficient
They usually come with nvidia cards, and if they do have an amd card on them, i dont think they would be called "amd radeon graphics"
Somehow a fucking GT 1030 has a higher user increase than a 6700 XT
Now, how would that make any sense in 2023
i think you underestimate nvidia's market share
radeon was a fart in the jar when the gt 1000 series sold
That doesnt matter, who the fuck uses a 2 GB garbage like 1030 in 2023?
Thats my point here
many people who need a video out and not much more
you can still run current games with a 1060
Yeah, but for gamers...?
back in the gcn days, they were called "amd r9 series graphics" regardless of the gpu, could be a 280, could be a 295x2
same with r7/r5
i think
So it could be just a bunch of cards being labelled under one category?
Which yeah, would make more sense
when the amd amd
by a few months
Yeah, and thats the kinda mindset people have about AMD cards
because surely a decade old card will behave the same as current day one
i am waiting to cross paths with a reasonably priced 6900xt or 6950xt
i replaced my radeon with a gtx 980 because pretty much every game i played had driver issues

My first dedicated card was a 270x, it had its own issues with drivers, but besides that i had some great memories with that card
amd cpus were great tho, i rocked that phenom 2 x4
yeah let's just forget bulldozer entirely
My first one was an ATI hd 4870
Right lol
I called it big red but it served me well up until games started to demand more than a gig of vram
Honestly, as long as you keep your expectations at reasonable levels, pretty much any PC can be a gaming PC
thats coming from me playing from systems with a 1 core cpu
I kinda like the old card designs, some of em had those goofy 3D women on the shroud
Ya lol ATI had a mascot called Ruby
i had a 4870 too
Nice, a heck of a card
bought with allowance and lunch money
i got my 270x for free

a relative already had a 2060 at the time, so it was useless for them
that was about 4 years ago
Yall is linux good like rn? I have garuda dragonized gaming edition flashed to my usb, just deciding wheter i should switch from win10 to linux
go into the tech source discord server and they will lay out 100 facts
why intel is better
i did not ask just one person
i ask arpund 20 people and they all gave the same responce
they said intel is better for the money but if you have alot of money for cpu like 400+ go for amd

You need a shit ton of coding experience to run linux and or install vms and shit
Wait until win10 is not being supported
what kind of linux do you run that requires years of experience

i can teach my grandma to install mint/ubuntu in less than 10 minns
All i know it needs a lot of coding
You probably havent used linux based from what you're saying...
Well yea, as I have never needed to
installing a VM on windows also takes 20 clicks tops
Thats what Iโve heard from a yt which uses linux and win10 vm to play games
I don't have any problems with coding, it's just that I'm not ready to let go some of my games that isn't supported on linux. And also giving linux to my 10yr old laptop might be okay as it is running slow already
youtubers embellish stuff for clicks
it's like taking medical advice from discord randoms
I've asked ton of people already and I am just not satisfied with their answers lol
make a backup of your win, get a separate hdd or sth
the steam linux proton is basically made for gaming
sorry, it's called SteamOS actually
test it out. if you dont like it, switch back
cap
Hey guys I wanna start learning coding what are the minimum requirements for a pc/laptop
what do you want to learn
The language?
there's hundreds, which one
Python then c++
no harm in sticking with windows
any pc capable ofrunning a youtube video without bursting in flames will do fine
Oh
Well that's relieving
their ide's tell you their system requirements if you google them
the requirements are basically nil until you try to do some weird stuff like ai learning
That checks out
My sister does that and has destroyed like 3 laptops

that's actually cap ngl
it's been three years, where is the KFC bucket PC
with a builtin oven for the wings
I mean
Technically speaking if someone to theoretically use both the pc and fryer/over or whatever it was.. the pc would die
technically speaking, look at the amd 4700s kit
for the kfpc, we need an amd apu with actually decent graphics
they made some insane promises with their kfconsole back then
You could definitely fool a console pleb with those claims, not sure about a PC user

technically its easily doable, the price tho
while it could be plausible, the temps inside would not be good
Still better than gaming laptops
just stick a 13900k in there and when u want to heat ur wings just go on cinebench
lol
And 4090
๐
average pc hovers around 60-80 degrees anyway, probably can keep the wings warm via pc parts
also heat goes up
and then theres 3090/4090 with operating temperature of 110
isnt like
oils boiling point above 110 degrees?
Not sure when that was considered an optimal operating temperature
Also, these cards have overbuilt coolers for a reason
idk about oil, but my 3090 used to thermal bluescreen my CPU because those vram on the backplate produce an insane amount of heat
and they are 4 slot cards
jesus my corsair case can barely fit my 3070 (had to remove 1 of the fans)
Must be one small ass case
i had to reseat the card on a x8 slot because it was the furthest away
a 3070 shouldnt be that large
i have a 2080 super and if i touch the backplate its insane how hot it is
im thinkign of rigging a heatsink to it or something
๐
Cool
Make sure not to get the 8gb version
Thats 4060ti
3060 has 8 and 12 gb models
And yes, as melon said, please dont get the 8 gb version
Its priced nearly the same and performs worse
Not just in terms of the VRAM, but also the halved memory bandwidth
Just another nvidia budget card moment
3060/4060 ๐ค rx7600
At least the 7600 is somewhat appropiately priced
Yes, its 8 gb, but its going well below 300
And for that price thats about what you can expect for now. Or you can go with 6700/6700xt
Although, you miss out on AV1 encode/decode
And potentially inferior raytracing performance (albeit no one would realistically use that on a card with 8 gb's of VRAM anyways)
Both companies have released rather mediocre products this year though, too expensive for what they offer.
I would personally be interested on a 4070ti, if it wouldnt be damn near a thousand bucks
3070/3070ti 12 gb
i bought the 3070 around 2k local
A 12 gb version would be an instant top seller
(Given its appropiately priced, lets say 50 bucks more)
nvidia: ๐คจ
I mean, 4060ti 8 gb is 400, 16 gb is 500, so 8 gb is 100
Thus 4 gb more would be 50
Math checks out
128-bit card for 500 btw
my cpu isnt good enough for a better gpu
yeah i alr know that the 8gb version is crap
Which one is it?
It could potentially handle a 3070
maybe
Its worse than 5600, but not by that much
i am only choosing the rtx 3060 because it can handle 1080p gaming better than 1440p
and my monitor is only displaying 1080p so choosing a better gpu for 1440p wouldnt make sense for me
plus i have a tight budget
Look in the used market then
do NOT go to userbenchmark
wdym isn't userbench mark the best for comparing cpus
not like it doesn't rate the overall part on its rgb

heavy bias towards intel
They shill hard for intel, to the point where they skew the numbers heavily
( I was being sarcastic)
jus wanna make it clear lol
I wish there were more then just 2 companies in both the cpu and gpu industry
ik Intel gpus r OK but nvidia+amd got a mf monopoly
I'd say intel has a solid hold on the mid-tier market rn for their GPUs
ye I like that
I'm sticking with my 2080 super for another generation or so atleast
used? what a nice joke
So u think buying a card for half the price is a joke
You do you
is it normal for my GPU drivers to very very randomly stop working at times for no apparent reason?
i have an AMD gpu so that partially is a known issue but
even with PRO drivers (which i believe are the ones which are meant to be the most stable) that odd problem happens
and its completely random like i alt tab and it crashes
sometimes puts me under a safe mode and doesnt let me deactivate it unless i update/reinstall my drivers
is it just normal amd activity or can be a problem like overheating?
it could be a gpu issue
i had an amd 6800xt that kept giving me all sorts of issues
i also have an amd 6600m that works like a charm
if you haven't yet, try to uninstall drivers usng ddu and install the fresh whql ones
whql?
ive had a problem with drivers recently so i installed the pro ones, but i didnt use DDU to uninstall which i think can cause more problems
like i went to the little app manager app thing that i forgot the name, did a rollback to 2006 microsoft driver and installed new PRO ones
also, i had adrenalin drivers so
yikes
basically whql means they're verified and guaranteed to work (not a 100% guarantee)
but where could i find these however
on the amd website
are they not the PRO ones which amd has released
i cant find anything related to WHQL in amd site
also
i think they do not even release individual driver versions
im not sure how it works
the only thing i could find was the softwares
which then you install the drivers
if you use an archiver such as 7zip, you can use it to unpack the downloaded exe and use the windows device manager to install the drivers manually without the software
oh adrenalin
though from my experience it doesn't help with issues so might as well install the whole thing
doesnt AMD itself says that PRO edition is generally more stable for normal users? i've been using the adrenalin drivers since 2020 and the very same problem keeps happening
that is these random crashes

i mean u could try using the pro drivers, just ddu first
fack i should've done DDU first but i didnt
who knows maybe it's some leftovers from the old adrenalin drivers that cause issues
its likely
ill take a look into DDU later, thanks for the advice
however i truly think its just amd being amd
grrrr
Just switch to an older version
I'm currently using pro which are from 2022
Yes, you might potentially lose on a tiny bit of a performance on certain titles, but its worth it imo
You should probably get something more recent
Yes but then the only option is adrenalin
23.4.1 is probably your best bet
And I'm not sure if adrenalin automatically updates itself but they're always the newest drivers
23.4.2 and 23.4.3 has some weird issue with the driver crashing on a browser
You can set it not to automatically update
Well i did crash twice while using chrome
But then it happened when i was with pro ones
I'm gonna try DDU and then pro again
Nah, just get 23.4.1
that one seems stable
no browser crashes with that one
at least from my end
Alright
Will try it soon, thanks
do you know which error that is?
i did a bit of research and found out that some browsers are crashing (im not sure if this is any related to the GPU drivers themselves) due to a DCOM error or issue
which could theorically explain why my pc crashed twice while using chrome
and the same article mentions CSLID errors, i also had CSLID errors but im not sure if they're identical or smth like that
also appears to be a problem related to windows itself having trouble with videos (any form, be it inside chrome or .mp4s and wahetver)
Neither of those errors seem to have any connection to the issues with GPU though
Not that i am seeing
Thats most likely MPO, which yes, is known to cause issues even with things like gifs
That one i encountered quite soon after i got my current GPU
And its a super quick fix
one registry edit and its gone
omaga
yeah at some point my pc would very randomly crash upon loading any short of video
sometimes inside my browser sometime inside my files
so idk
Mine used to just flicker at random facebook advertisement gifs
thats how i noticed
then boom, after the quick registry fix it has been gone for good
And i should probably add that this is exclusively another microsoft fuckup, both amd and nvidia are prone to this issue
I dont think we can expect a proper drop in price for 4000 series for a while
I'm looking to buy these 4
And a used 3070 for 300โฌ
Would you guys have any recommendations for something potentially cheaper and better at the same time?
Der8auer just pointed out that the 4060 ti only has 8x pcie lanes

i would not buy that case
Why not
doesn't look like it has any airflow
Cooling?
also a 360 aio for a 5600 is completely overkill
a cheap tower cooler is perfectly fine
Oh don't worry the thing that glows in the from is some kind of filter that passes light
Thats why it glows
It's actually very good and doesn't look awful
It's the cheapest in the store that I'm buying in
And I can use it in the future
If I do upgrade to a inferno cpu
And the gray panel on front can be taken off
It sounds like you are set on your decision and dont need us
I was hoping you could recommend some motherboards
If u drop that cooler and get a cheaper motherboard then you will be able to afford better important parts like PSU, GPU or CPU.
Or maybe more storage
I have a evga supernova 750 for the psu
How about this cooler
It's cheaper
And more fps
How about this mb
Or this?
Get a GPU which has atleast 12gb vram
Or 16
I will try but it will be difficult not to break the bank
Get the non rgb version of that and 240mm not 280
Also this is a good board
U can get cheaper b450 if you want to but u lose PCIe gen 4
No rgb = -20 fps on average
What's the difference between the rgb and the non rgb ver
Cheaper
This one is actually cheaper
Since its a used product being resaled
Nvm
I'm gonna get the factory new
i need help
yup, looks like you do
Have you tried following the instructions?
re-install spotify perhaps?
didn't work
install the .dll then
didn't work
try to run spotify in compatibility mode
open spotifys folder, find the exe, right click, properties, compatibility, and check the box
Gotta find the spotify data directory and delete it manually, after uninstalling spotify. then reinstall
Anker/Ugreen

ugreen is cheap and has good reviews
and their eu store has free shipping
can any usb-c cable do full 65w?
i assume yes but i see them marketed at diffrent wattages
ugreen is good chifi, i recomen
high fidelity charging
a barebones type c cable will only do 5v 2.4a max, u need one of these fancy cables that can communicate with a pd charger
at least that's what i've heard
bollocks
oreo is right tho, USB C just specifies a minimum of 3A 20v
which is very different from 2.4a 5v
i have made a purchase
hopefully it doesn't burn my house down
65w is on the lower end, the official spec goes to 100
i don't need anything higher
the power draw gets handled out dynamically, there is no risk of frying your devices
i am well aware
Good choice
what on earth
wouldn't it need to do some sort of data handshake before it jumps up to 240W?
oh awful
i've also recently learned about gaming laptop abominations which need two power supplies
oh gosh
with a jet engine of a fan
tried that and reinstalled it same error again
This is what exactly happens if you use any other variable in for loop other than i
Ugreen chargers are rlly good
I bought a 45w for my phone and its the best i ve gotten
Omg, i remember this monstrous Acer laptop a few years ago
Shit was like $9k and had dual 1080's
ye, it's the predator something
Acer's Predator 21 X
tbf everything acer is a predator of some kind
it's like asking about a samsung phone and the answer is "samsung galaxy something"
does not narrow it down
yea lol
yea lol
yea lol

A friend wanted my opinion on a Gigabyte laptop called A5 k1
So i was gathering information looking for any decent review of the thing
What i found is some dude playing warzone and the laptop CPU chilling at a very reasonable 97C
At least GPU was around 70C
And it was the Ryzen version.
Well u can use ryzen controller to lock temps to 80c

He might aswell get an industrial fan with his gaming laptop
ultimate gaming setup
If it works, it works
Although, that construction does look unstable
I would try to fix that
Because it looks like he has some heavy weights laying next to it
looks about 4 40 lb (20kg) plates
In other words, enough to break that stand
especially since its in a fucking home depot bucket

that shit gonna slide off real soon
Well, you get the point either way
Its not a good stand for heavy weightlifting
but other than that, hes got the essentials
One thing missing is like a TV and PS5 in the pic, but thats prolly out of the frame
he needs some dumbells
You can fit only so much in a tight space like that tbh
Like, if he had to set that weightlifting stand next to the bed, i can imagine he doesnt have a lot of space in his room
Also, i realized that this is more of a #memes-and-shitposting post
than #tech-coding-math
If they are the same price, obviously 3080
Though the 3080 does consume more power
I am talking 2x
show us ur prices.
Goofy ahh prices
Nah they meant $1.05
539 for a 4060 ti
bruh
everywhere in UK it's ยฃ400
Well most online
U shouldn't spend more than 300 on that POS

get 2 to have 16
Oh boy, it better not make Opera GX shit itself upon each launch after a reboot
is GX even good, or is it one of those gimmicks? I keep seeing yters I watch get sponsored by it
i have to stay on 23.3.1 because amdumb disabled perf tuning of mobile chips in 23.3.2 and up
I did tried firefox, because a lot of people recommended it, but i didnt liked the way the scrolling felt
so i went back to GX
New driver releases of AMD is like playing with fire at this point
Ive had to revert to an older version multiple times
Also, AMD seems to have this issue with CSGO loading times
like, the first time it loads up fine, less than 20 secs
then after that the loading times increase to like a minute, as if i was playing on some old ass hard drive
And i did find a thread of people to this day having an issue with that
Apparently the only solution is to enable ReLive
Ugh, AMD... you can do better
Nope, the drivers still shit themselves in 23.5.1.
when opening Opera GX
the amd experience
Its either this or forking out all my savings for team green
I'll see how 24.3.1. behaves again
Ok so
oddly enough, the display corruption doesnt happen with Chrome
which is based on Chromium, just like Opera GX
so it might just be an Opera GX issue
Welp, Firefox or Chrome it is then
see ya, GX, was nice knowing you
Yea nvm
I take it back, happened again with Chrome
Well this isn't the UK
And its a asus graphics card so ofc its a higher price
So are the 4060s good after all
4060 = 3060 or something like that
Uhh......what should I do?
tried restarting?
if you did (and did a power cycle) it looks like your gpu on the console(?) is dying
I'm on PC
Ill try restarting first
This has happened in the past, so I'm not exactly sure what else I could do besides a driver reset
I hope not...I just got this thing late last year
That does kinda look like a dying GPU, but i don't want to make assumptions just based on one video
Does this happen in other games?
It's been a while since it happened, but in most instances, it happened just on the desktop
This is the first it happened on Judgment
Like sometimes when I booted up my PC, it would do it
Yeah.. havent had that kinda stuff happen on 3 different amd cards
Really hope it's not the signs of a dying gpu....I really don't have money for another one
replug the monitor cable
I'll mail you my old one
Make sure its not overheating, you should be able to RMA it if neccesary, long as you havent tinkered with it.
Doubt overheating could cause that kind of effect
Also, that card is less than 200W, good luck overheating it to such degree
on windows 11 csgo takes like 10 min to show the intro webm
on win 10 it loads in 20 sec
can anyone send me this api-ms-win-core-console-l3-2-0.dll in dm?
i need it for spotify and can't find any fixes online
open the start menu search bar and type winver and hit enter
what is your version of windows
a post on the internet says that 1607 is way too old
not true because spotify ran fine before i installed .net framework 4.8
clicking the update button doesn't do jackshit for me lol
For those that don't want to upgrade windows, I simply went onto the spotify download page and downloaded an older version. I went for windows 8
https://www.spotify.com/uk/download/other/
Seemed to work for me
i downloaded both windows 10 and 7 versions and none of them work
on windows 7 both windows 10 and 7 versions of spotify work fine
use system restore to roll back to before installing .net 4.8 or something
now i get a different error
also
how do i turn it? its grayed out??
oh nvm dumb ass me thought my win 10 partition was the C drive ๐คฃ
huh?
Since the desktop app is mostly a web browser, would the webapp in a browser tab work for you?
Yeah what do I know. Sorry, how silly of me for trying to help
Itโs probably the monitor
It did this on my other monitor too prior to getting my new one, so doubt
try change the display cable
Chill out
glorious
I'm chill I just don't understand why you dismissed my advice to the guy like that.
113 for a mouse ๐
I didnt dismiss it, i pointed out that overheating doesnt just cause issues like that
gpus artifacting can be caused by overheating, not always but it's easy place to start
That's usually an indication to bad memory
GPUs throttle their speeds if they're overheating
I mean the overheating can cause damage to the card that causes the artifacting, at that point its a GG card
I've been doing it for a living for the past 10 years, its just what i'd normally firstly look into when artifacting is present
that's not what artifacting looks like
it's a loose/shitty monitor cable most likely
but i only do computer stuff for 8 years, so what do i know

Actually now that i look back at the video, yeah you're right that aint artifacting, oops
I thought i seen some of the actual graphics being spewed around
No need to worry about the gpu dieing then
Imo both brands are kinda meh
But i d prefer razer since their costumer support is pretty solid
Also if ur buying a glorious 100+ is alot
Imo
Shameful prices
Theres a temperature limit on GPU's for a reason
At which they start throttling to not go over their limits

What they are saying also make sense because temperature sensors are usually on the GPU cores
Memory doesn't get throttled therefore lead to issues
Extreme temp for along time moght cause harm especially when your core is cold but one of the Memory chips missing a thermal pad...
This doesn't apply to all GPUs tho.
Les goo
where
I'm currently learning probability, and this was one of the last questions I've made in order to learn it, could someone tell me if this would be considered a easy, medium or hard difficulty question?
"
A school has 1000 students, out of these:
800 study math
180 study physics
200 study chemistry
20 study math, physics and chemistry
50 study math and physics
50 study physics and chemistry
70 study ONLY chemistry
A single student is randomly chosen, what is the probability of the student study:
A) ONLY math
B) math and chemistry
C) ONLY math and chemistry
"
my friends once started artifacts he let it cool down for an hour and no more
Itโs definitely not hard, itโs not the easiest to solve but it isnโt "medium" difficulty either
If we are talking about math only, not including the logic behind of it
It would be an easy?
Proba is generally pretty simple, you just need to understand and memorise when to use which formula etc
Yeah it doesnโt take lots of thinking to figure out
This exercise doesn't take use more than 1 formula
Only the % out of 1000 students
Answers should be
A)67%
B)10%
C)8%

Ratchet and Clank is gonna be a benchmark for a while
all those features "only possible on PS5" + DLSS3, FSR2.3.4 or whatever, Intel XeSS, and their own temporal injection
plus I think it's done by Nixxes and not the studio that bombed TLOU and such
amen

interesting format, considering that a lot of itx cases have the space on the side to extend the board in that direction
i don't get it
what is the point of having a cutout in the slot if there are caps in the way that would prevent longer slot devices from being installed anyway
Lol
You welcome
how do you fit a 4090 on those boards tho

i have never seen phone idle use that much battery with no wifi or location enabled
samsung galaxy s2 moment
this is a alcatel lol
alcatel
basically same thing
before i ended up switching from the s2, at times it would drain the battery in 6 hours by doing absolutely nothing
my j3 2017 has a broken home button and i can't reflash the stock rom because of it
well i technically had the stock rom the entire time.. i tried to install a kernel that supposedly works on android 9 and it turns out it doesn't
mutant kernel v4 j330fn
Android was a mess back then
But ios was kinda empty and locked down so we didn't have a choice
I remember rooting my s3 and disabling a lot of apps or prevent them from running in background.
That made it faster and gave it longer battery life.
We only speak USD here
roughly around 25 bucks a month
i'll most likely get this phone since it looks really good and specs wise its great
and i'll probably root it after my warranty expires
or maybe more idk
yeah
phone cost like what 300$
yeah and extended warranty
awful currency
๐ท๐ธ the land of no money
that's what most people call it tho
when i was in turkey which had awful economy back then i was able to sub for 6 months to only pay around 25$
Which one (I heard that gigabyte products tend to die)
TUF cards are good tbh
a sus
I know
and way better looking
And they look better
asus
fuck shitabyte
my friend bought a mobo from gigabyte and it came to him broken. the pins we're bent on the socket
I'm biased
hi biased
I don't understand amd cards
i have a rx 570 its fine but radeon software is fucking hillariously bad
Idk the ranking with them
no issues im facing so far
Which one is better and which one is worse
6800 xt = 4070 ti
and better or equal to 3080
but
Price?
that's TOOO MUCH
anyway if you wanna pick between the two that you sent then def a 3080
Not a big issue
for now
i can give them 2 old phones to recycle which gives me a discount of 10k rsd or around 90bucks (1 phone 10k rsd discount. second phone also 10k rsd discount so 180 euro discount)
no
i like my carrier. haven't had any issues with them except for my simcard being damaged which was easily resolved
the sim card wasn't even 2 months old and it started to crap out. slow as hell speeds. barely 4g signal
a sus tuf guy
an XT?
Yes
Screw you US
If I do get this it will be cheaper than a 4060ti I saw at a local store
Damn
11 watchers
would be helpful to know the actual gpu
16GB MSI Radeon RX 6800 Gaming Z Trio Aktiv PCIe 4.0 x16 (Retail)
no
this aint a refurb, this is new
I'm looking to buy a 6900xt around 500โฌ
This is a transformer
It says NS-6-12-01 on it, does anyone have any idea what that means? I've searched on alldatasheet.com and tried googling it but I haven't been able to find anything
Ns probably a manufacturer? Hard to say. As for 6/12/01 very likely manufacturer date
Also, is anyone here able to tell me what type of a diode this is?
Yeah I would've thought so too, however it also says NS on the circuit board
Or SN
What Is the device by the way?
You can see the SN/NS on this picture
LED lamp controller most likely
When I was on a walk yesterday I came across an LED lamp just lying on the ground with this circuit attached and few cables
It looked like one of those LED lamps that'd be mounted in the ground to shine up
Apart from resistors, capacitors and diodes there's also a phototransistor and a rectifier
And one more IC with 8 pins, however it's covered up by a huge capacitor, so I'm unable to see the markings on it
Itโs probably something like 555-timer IC if itโs an LED circuit
I love reading about stuff I canโt understand itโs so interesting
Real
It can be manufacturer name, like NorthStar etc.
Looks like a generic zener diode hard to tell what volt pass rating is without having it on me.
Can you send a picture of the entire board, both sides?
Ooh, dealt with that before
@wispy mesa
Do LED lamps operate on AC or DC?
can be both
can you read the letters on this
I bent the capacitor a little
21018K
DK112L
T 25
That's what it says on the 8-pin IC underneath it
Any ideas as to what it is?
Download DK112 pdf datasheet file
Ye was checking
Thank you, I've managed to dig that up on my own
And it checks out since in the applications section they mention "AC/DC LED driver applications"
Microsoft finally doing something useful
@crimson wing @scarlet scaffold @supple wharf just trade my series s for a series x

pog, and i just finished my pc
Pc is next
So i now own a ps5 and a series x.
Two 500$ consoles

big bucks
Braided cables missing
No expense spared typa build
Donโt really need those but I can get it if I want
Pretty much

5k build?
Yeah
and why is only 1 ram stick lit up?
Itโs not, just timing when I took the picture. The ram is on a color cycle
the v2 ones yeah, they are super clean
best looking fans ive ever seen
i have lian li sl120 and 140
fell for the hype but tbh after some time not a big fan of them

I have the v1 fans
At least after you build your pc, you donโt need to buy whatever Xbox comes next
Ill still buy it

I would probably get the PS, but I donโt see a reason to own a Xbox with my PC. Hell, I might eventually stop buying the new PS and just wait for the games to be put on PC eventually
Iโm just glad I didnโt go with the Corsair ones. Overpriced and mid, the ll120 ones
Update on the LED modification
Also it's UV but most cameras only capture UV as blue
why though
if your gamepad has a built in deadzone to account for stick jitter and drift, there's nothing you can do
ds4 allows you to do that
no lmao
are you on pc?
k i ll just send it to you here
wait
what controller do you have

you can change deadzone in game
im afraid i cant help then
lmfao
hurtfull but true
if it was detected as a ps4 controller i might ve been able to help but as a 360 well
nah a good wheel would be detected as a wheel
yeah but theres some programs that allow you to change ps4 controller settings
being detected as a controller is bad bc there are a lot of games that force an input filter when using a controller
ah tah
i d imagine that games that do that would allow you to change deadzones still though
you can use the steam controller

i say it's a device issue
it's not supposed to be detected as a gamepad when it's a wheel tho
You got yourself a bad steering a wheel
i mean, idk how to fix your deadzone issues but you could use this to emulate a proper wheel https://blog.gimx.fr/product/gimx-adapter/
i have one of these and i use it to emulate the g27
no
im not an expert
Pc
That's what she said
hey so my desk fan recently broke and I'm also broke but I have a bunch of pc fans is there any way to make them run from like usb
a convertor or something I could buy?
I'd make a stand for em
yes
you can just solder a usb plug to a fan
it will work
just not well
pc fans are 12v and usb is normally 5v
the less stupid way to do it would be a get a 12v psu and something like this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004866244813.html
exactly what I want
thanks
damn
gonna add to cart
ok
btw regards to the usb cables and PD
i got 65w through a generic samsung cables that's god knows how many years old and certainly not certified for anything
You can buy a router charging plug. They are around 11 to 12 volts and are cheap
But you will need to do some soldering
snip off the plug and solder the wires to the board
my dad's an engineer and can probs do it
dont even need to solder
https://aliexpress.com/item/33006586046.html?spm=a2g2w.productlist.search_results.12.358d4aa6SEcPIA&sku_id=12000022868994904 with one of these don't need to snip off the plug either
is this a new feature in opera GX
or am I just late
Because I don't remember updating
God everything using fucking ai
ordered this
wait what do I plug that into?
a 12v psu
yes but you probably already have one
come back with a review in 2 months
it said delivery 25th june
but I've never ordered aliexpress so God knows how accurate it is
aliexpress standard shipping is honestly not bad
What's the difference between the sl140 and sl120 lian li fans?
size
120mm
140mm
Why is there such a big price difference then ๐ญ
PSA: do not update your Nvidia driver to 535.98, Causes fps stuttering and worser scenario, black screen on games
noted, thanks
the Nvidia experience
Why not
Always read patch notes before updating the driver
If there's nothing with benefits yo you then there's no point for updating drivers.
the way it's meant to be played
Hay
the nightmare begins
forced to use macOS... and I can't install older versions of Xcode on an older OS... and I can't install brew without the Xcode libraries... and I can't install a program that lets me install older Xcode without either brew or being able to open a .zip file... and I can't open a .zip file because the archive manager errors out and the combination of Apple tar and zsh means tar -xf filename does NOTHING
windows bad
MacOS is a nightmare. Only time I use a mac is for phone backups. Other than that absolutely not
What about "final cut"
more like final straw
tfw you sell someone thermal paste
Oh fk
Well.
that's not good is it
i'm sure it'll still run minecraft
You can fix that....or can you?
Ik you can fix the bent pins when they are on the cpu but idk when they are on the motherboard
you can fix bent, not missing
On motherboard?
sure
Won't heating the board cause damage?
why would you heat the board
So you can unbend the pins easier
i
i'm sure the board will handle 100+ temps just fine
you just need some pliers and a steady hand tho
Well im not ๐
Ik the cpu will be fine but not the board
I'd love to try fix it but idk.. I'll probably end up volting the cpu. It's also a 9th gen cpu, not so many boards available now for it so might convince them to upgrade
So you are gonna return it and get a new one?
I managed to find the same board online so gonna test to make sure the cpu is still fine before I suggest that
or a credit card
wait until you hear how they're made
Hi so I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 11 and when I change from csm to eufi in bios and enable secure boot my windows goes into automatic repair. Anyone know why?
