The 5800x seems to hit a few frames higher than the 12700f. However, if you're going with the 5800x I think you might as well get the 5700x and OC it.

It's all about how much heat you can go with. Considering the 5700x is identical to the 5800x except for voltages, you can tweak the voltage for a higher power draw and match it.

Hell, I have my 5700x OC'd past 5800x stock speeds, and geekbench shows a better score over a stock 5800x.

So I’m trying to open ports for RDO on my router for my PS4, and I’m slightly confused on external/internal ports.
I also don’t have the option to use TCP/UDP protocol, so am I supposed to make one for each? I can only use one at a time

The ports to forward are: 465, 983, 1953, 3478-3480, 10070-10080, 30211-30217 (TCP)
3074, 3478-3479, 6672, 61455-61458 (UDP)

External port is the one exposed to the internet and internal port is where the router sends that traffic. Data sent to <your public IP>:<external port> is routed to <local ip>:<internal port>
Since you're opening ports for a specific app and don't control what ports it listens in, you'll want the internal and external ports to be the same.

I'm not sure what the specific differences are, sorry. But they are two different protocols and you'll need to open whichever ones the app in question needs. Since you have a list of TCP ports and UDP ports, you can open them that way

Tcp uses packets between sender and receiver to confirm data delivery. Udp dumps data down the line and doesn't do acknowlegement.

Both have different reasons for use. For instance, downloading files uses tcp to ensure data is not corrupted, while video files use udp because a missing pixel here and there is less important than making sure there's a continuous fast stream of data.

I have my router set to automatically change devices’ IP adresses (DHCP) and I’m wondering when or why the IP changes from day-to-day?

I was having no issues gaming yesterday, and just today my console’s IP adress changed and I’m having trouble connecting to some games...

It might not necessarily be the device’s IP that is the problem, but I’ve tried every other fix, and so far nothing has worked

I had ports open, but obviously the console’s IP changed so that wasn’t working anymore, so I set it up again, but no luck

This might either be a RAM/GPU issue, but to be safe re-install windows (or your drivers) and test your RAM using Windows Memory Diagnostic, if that doesn’t show any issues try playing without the GPU for a while

I’ve found plenty of articles about that same issue + audio stuttering, but there isn’t one solution, you need to try everything from software to rebuilding your PC

ofc, you should unplug the laptop's main battery aswell, if its internal, just detach its connector, and after 15-20mins just before inserting the cmos battery, press and hold the power button for a few seconds, just to make sure no astray voltages remained in the circuitry
