If it were possible for Microactiblizking to do that and pull the same revenue, I'm sure they would... but it's not.

The CoD fanbase gets sick of the same genre over and over, and that was proven with AW->BO3->IW. Campaign-wise, you can only make so many stories revolving around the same time period. Granted, there's a lot of stories in each war, there's not a lot that teenagers (the target audience) knows. You also can't do the same zany BS with cod that you get with GTA5. The moment they introduce pay-to-win kill streaks, they'll make a fat profit short term, but half their future purchases goes to find another game.

Cod gets a near-instant 1billion from each release (which I think isn't happening with BO6 on account of Game Pass Ultimate) which GTA5 can't match. They've made around 9bil in 19 years, which is no small feat, but pales in comparison. To put it into perspective, cod's made 30bil since 2014. If they could spend as little money on a game as R* spent on GTA5 (compared to the cumulative cost of each cod released in its lifetime) and turn 30bil, they absolutely would do it.

ehhhh.... Only more profitable if the game is worth playing. The GPU sub is $17, and you need ultimate for multiplayer access; and if the game's trash, people will drop their sub. Bearing in mind the full game is $70, you'd need to keep each person around for 4 months to get that. CoD has a reputation for doing scummy things after the first month.

Also, if someone gets the sub and then plays a non-microsoft game more than CoD, MS has to pay that other studio the cut they would've kept.

The campaign of Ghosts could've been better... the premise was good, the execution got worse and worse towards the end. The multiplayer was OK. It's my favorite because it's the most unique, and it's the first time I started rushing. Had A LOOOOOT of fun moments. Saw a dude with a knife juggernaut and melee battled him. Got an achievement for winning. Went on my first knife spree non-jug. Then there's the Predator jug and michael myers. My absolute favorite thing was using the MAWS rocket launcher to fire around corners. Literally make the missile turn a corner- no one expected it.

Extinction was also a banger of a mode, and later DLC's got more challenging. It was like zombies, except there's a definite end goal.

First you need to reach level 5, then you need to write into @wanton apex and request permission to post them.
