I stopped with photo mode on games for a while. my photo projects take far too long to make now since I upload them in 4k and add quite a bit of post editing to them. I want to wait until I can take more time to edit my photos and make them look better instead of rushing like I always did

That is one thing I wish they would focus on more. The newer horizons just throw you in random shit with no feeling of a set goal or accomplishment. That is why I adored Forza Horizon one

The Original horizon as bad as the graphics and feel of it are by modern standards, still stands as my favorite horizon solely for the fact that it had a beautiful lengthy progression and a full story behind it.

Along with side stuff like the street racing route.

The new horizons seem to just automatically think you grew up with the beautiful story of the original and don’t need anymore story

I loved how you progressed through different classes and were an ungerdog with little experience. And it created an atmosphere that you want a game to have. Also going through all the racers and at the end of the class having a face to who you have to beat, for example Darius Flynt

They gave a face and emotion to the class races that led to the final progression which was a 1v1 race with that character

#

It was a perfect setup they should have just moved over to the other horizons. The new ones just are like “yea you are rich and own this shit, you have no real place here do what you want”

#

In the end I don’t mind it because I love driving the cars and that’s all I really play the game for but I’ll never feel as emotionally attached as the original horizon that had a full length campaign level story to it

I think 4’s biggest fuck up was not having a mile long straight in the base map

It was eventually added in lego but one: it’s the god dam lego map, two: it’s a $20 dlc for those with the ultimate edition

2 and 4 have no amazing story to them if any at all but at least, at least I could give 3 credit for having that level up for the tents to make you feel the progression of helping build the festival with your funding through gaining influence

I like the houses idea in the fourth one but it destroyed their ability to comfortably add that leveling system back

the workaround is to use higher fov above 15 ish and set f stop at 5.6 or lower, which is super limiting for shots i want to take
