Vex and Rafa are considered S tier characters while Harlowe is A tier and Amon being the worst at a B tier. This is based off of how much dmg they do, how well they can do in both co-op and solo play and their how their skills are with elemental affinities

I started a second character on Harlowe and got to lvl 9 before switching to Rafa because I didn't like her abilities or the way she played

They provide for the team in their own way through things like creating new attack vectors through knocking down walls or those cool window bridges, or indeed getting behind enemy lines and throwing a redeploy beacon down

And anti-infantry hardware like grenade launchers and such
