my point stands: glare is a balancing device that telegraphs where you're being shot from, before you're literally killed in one shot

there was a point in time where shooters didn't have glare

you didn't know where you were being killed from until you were killed

a person who knew the map and how to rotate dominated the entire match with a sniper rifle because he effectively has infinite time to stare at you

the weapon's main advantage is that you can engage far beyond what most people can tapfire at, and kill people in a single shot at that range without needing more than a second - in a casual game like battlefield, i'd gladly trade every other countermeasure for the simple ability to see glint

that's coming from me, someone who snipes a whole lot and also counter-snipes frequently by tapfiring

thinking of fighting an unseen threat as some random who isn't as sweaty as i am, literally kill three quarters of your game community

was my life easier back when shooters didn't have scope glint? yeah i basically stared people down for a minute before doming them because they don't have eyes and don't know i'm there
