it was worth it a few years ago

at this point players can do more damage than mausolon and approach arquebex damage so its usefulness is a bit diminished

if you don't have a setup that can kill eidolons though, you could totally drop voidrig and use arquebex to nuke synovias

arquebex still remains one of the most powerful things in the game

mausolon is the default archgun for necramechs

it's generally the most popular archgun, best for general purpose

on release, it was better than most weapons

it does really good damage, has high firerate, regular shots have a bit of aoe, and the alt fire basically nuked a small area

so whenever you felt like you were being outgunned, or you happened to need more damage for when an assassin like stalker spawned, or you didn't bring a great loadout and needed to carpet bomb stuff, you just pulled out mausolon

it was carried by its raw stats but it is unfortunately an archgun, and they have no good mods

so at this point with the release of galvanized mods and weapon arcanes and stuff like incarnons, it's outclassed

arquebex is the exalted 4 on voidrig and it's basically rapid fire dual shoulder cannons that do multiple millions of damage unmodded

in a pretty big aoe, too

i'm not sure anything matches its damage output still

but it's attached to the voidrig's abilities which you can't throw down everywhere, so it's niche to begin with

the only time you'd use it is in open world to spawnkill while defending an objective, or to break eidolon limbs

Mario's gameplay is largely sidescroller or even platformer. It doesnt matter what graphics or what mechanics you use to spice this up, they are generally very simple games to make. The industry has been making platformers since 1995 or.longer - it doesnt take a 300 million dollars budget to make a Mario game.

As a result 5heres no reason for Mario games to cost more - the industry likes to say the cost of a game is the driving force of the price hikes

Games aren't too expensive to make.
executives are getting too hard to pay and shareholders believe in infinite growth.
Mario games dont have MTX so they havent been getting to slurp the gravy of those for almost 15 years now and shareholders are probably looking to jump to EA where "fuck the customer, buy a booster for a map" has become the norm

In this game, it depends which missile and how far away, but essentially yes

Modern ir missiles have IRCCM (infra fed counter counter measures)

I know enough about war thunder and modern tech to know it won't be a simple answer dw

In war thunder there's 2 different types of IRCCM currently
Seeker shutoff and FOV

Seeker shutoff is when a ir missile shuts off it's seeker for some seconds until it can't see the enemy flares anymore

It's really effective but it can shut it's seeker off for too long if the enemy spams flare

FOV in the other hand is scarier

Those missiles will have a small FOV once they're launched
This makes so once they track their target, their FOV shrinks to a point where it can basically only see the fuselage of the plane (the engines) and not the flares being deployed behind them

So FOV missiles when they're too close can't be flared

As the name implies, there are both nuclear missiles and bombs

Game balances them by making them very expensive though, and of course you still need to deliver it to the target, and do whatever is needed to make sure it isn't shot out of the sky before it arms

As CWIS and CRAM are both in-game (and work very well), in addition to being able to lock onto missiles (and fire upon them) like I previously said

Something to keep in mind is that first person is the ideal way to play, as you don't get HuD in third person, but maybe that's something I haven't figured out yet, which is very possible

Zero grind to unlock anything though; you have all hardware unlocked from the start

For how remarkably small it is, it does look pretty decent and has a good variety of weapons and aircraft, ranging from trainers to carrier fighters, support planes to strategic bombers, and includes helicopters

Controls wise it plays like any other fighter plane game, with fully customizable keybinds of course

Things like VTOL (the angle of thrusters can be adjusted on the fly) require you to get creative though if you want to control it manually

The default option is an automatic mode based on speed and such. Assisted flight can be turned off inflight

Someone used to "sim" games like WT would probably be much more at home than I am

Craft with gunner seats like the stealth attack chopper and heavy VTOL can have the gun controlled manually or let the gunner engage independently

Speaking of AI, they are far from useless on both sides

If you want to know what does what, the wiki for the game explains it well enough for me to understand

I like playing support roles and an aircraft they recently added, the Medusa, pretty much lets you play as a psuedo AWACS

It also has the internal Jamming Pods and Laser I mentioned earlier, and a giant radar disc attachment which lets you detect things 100 km out, things as small, fast and low as cruise missiles
