I just learned something pretty neat about his kit

This requires some basic knowledge of his kit to understand, which I will explain

Thermal Sunder. I don't know how much you know about it, but holding it (the keybind used to cast it) casts a fire status on a radius, tapping it casts a cold status.

Doing one after the other will combine all status effects together to proc blast

Generally speaking, it's better to build heat status rather than cold because heat can stack infinitely

This is where the thing I learned comes in

If you cast a heat thermal sunder, any heat status applied afterwards from any of your weapons or abilities, will fall under the ability

Meaning: if you cast a cold thermal Sunder, every heat status on the enemy(s) will be counted in the blast proc

So if you cast one heat sunder, put 40 heat status stacks on an enemy with a weapon and then cast a cold sunder, they will combine and do crazy damage

Something I've noticed with some testing is that the damage of the blast supercombine seems to be affected by the damage and status damage stats of the weapon that applied the additional heat stacks

And I don't think this supercombine thing is unique to gauss; I'm pretty sure it's just the way heat status was designed; Destiny 2 has a similar quirk with scorch, which is a system very similar to heat, down to the elemental damage type

if i'm understanding you correctly, this is the core mechanism for the heat inherit mechanic

your first instance of applying heat is using a weapon with big +heat and bane mods

you switch to another weapon to continue stacking heat procs, but they will all use the first weapon's heat proc stats

you're just doing it with a warframe ability instead of a primer weapon

as far as i know there's not a huge application for this system because it takes a bit of time to set up and most tanky things also have status restrictions, i believe it's primarily used for sp disruption to kill the demolishers in seconds

it's not that hard to understand
basically your first weapon applies a base heat status proc with crazy stats, and your second weapon perpetuates the stacks
the second weapon does more damage than the first one but it doesn't stack crazy heat damage, but when you apply more heat status with the second weapon, instead of applying the second weapon's heat stats it's using the first one's stats

in short: your second weapon is extending the first weapon's heat status while also doing big damage

mach rush doesn't do a whole lot and disables your weapons limiting your versatility whereas volt speed buffs your weapons, your teammates, and other objectives like drone escort, and actually has a higher top speed so it's generally better in open world too
redline is great but its effects are all backloaded into the rpm meter meaning you spend most of the duration of the ability trying to build up your rpm rather than actually being buffed by the ability

thermal sunder just feels so... weird to me

as in, i have no clue how it's supposed to tie in with the frame, and also that there was a period of time where they tried to delete all of the press-button-to-nuke abilities yet here we are
i think it's really out of place on gauss, not to mention it falls off quickly

kinetic plating is great, but i can get that in a handful of other frames

The flashy graphics and photorealism lend very well to the blaster and lightsaber flashes.
Jumping into a game isn't a super long queue. If you pick the right era or don't care what era you play.
Most of the teams are half bot so you can generally avoid the level 300 player.l padding his kill count if you really can't kill him
You feel like you're contributing and more importantly can still level classes even when Player CockHammer is slaughtering you and your team as yoda.
The bots aren't total pushover and do tend to move in 2s or so, and respond well to enemy fire, so you can push with them to 2v1 enemy bots or players. As a player a single bot will usually lose to you but because of the responsiveness they kind of just keep coming and you will have to manage overheat on your guns
Upgrades tend to be fairly dynamic and specialized, be there's some pretty clear meta for some classes.

I do help tho. I do all my quest shit first then throw my abilities and gadgets 1 at a time and if I time it right I don't have to fire a bullet from my gun because by the time 1 ability or gadget runs out the next is ready to be used

Teddy can only get you so far into the game, teddy has a massive drop off in twine peaks and outlanders aren't worth using at all past pl 86

outlanders as a whole aren't worth using unless you are farming in resupply or build the radar

Im pretty positive you can't even play twine peaks missions in the end game until you get to pl 122 and 124, outlanders aren't helping you there

Yea, sadly only a few rare times something can recover as good as those two did, they had rough launches but had updates overtime that made them much much better than what they once were, but that was because the devs didn't give up, and sadly not many are going in for a sinking ship even if it has people on it, its just the kind of world we live in nowadays, peoples greed will be their own downfalls

48k with a power level 69 weapon, Im not entirely sure to either be impressed to disappointed, since thats only getting you so far in twine peaks, however it might last you until the start until the pl86 zone

you can probably make some silly combos since technically no weapon is overly bad

My main weapon, I wish wasn't stuck to physical, candy corn LMG, it just feels like a nice weapon and when you crit perk it, it crits quite a bit
