you have to get some requiem mods from requiem relics that you open in requiem fissures then you go to her nodes and kill her soldiers to discover what requiems she's vulnerable to then you put those reqiuems in your parazon and at some point you go and stab her and if you don't have the right requiems installed she survives and you have to go kill more of her soldiers
it's a real pain i hate doing it but adversary weapons are some of the best in the game

Just progress through the castle as best you can. For the most part level vigor and if you have a favorite weapon put points into the thing it Scales with. This will make it do more damage. There is a blacksmith, Hewg, in the roundtable, he can improve your weapon if you have found a Smithing stone to upgrade it.
Also if you did not meet her, leave the castle and walk the stone pathway, look for a girl named Roderika. She will give you a Summon to help you (assuming you talked to "Witch Renna" at the church)

the dex nikana passive reduces your max multiplier to 11x

there are two types of melee builds: those where you use the weapon normally, and those where you focus on building around heavy attacks
the sacrificial mods are used in heavy attack builds, and are never used in regular builds

to start with addressing this directly: you want to replace sacrificial steel with blood rush, not fever strike
sacrificial steel's purpose is to give you high level crits on heavy attacks
it's inefficient to use it for critical chance in a regular build, because blood rush exists: at your maximum combo counter, blood rush increases your crit chance by 440%
in a regular attack melee build, you aren't going to replace the element for more crit
blood rush is also kind of a pain to use without body count or drifting contact... you wouldn't happen to have one of those, would you? body count is a common mod, at least
