Wild. You need to play them. Since you have a Ps1 start with the first 2 to experience the OG's then if you have access to as Ps2 or able to emulate then I Definitely recommend Head On and Black as well as the 2012 game just called Twisted Metal for the Ps3

Best games on the Playstation consoles imo. Right up there with the Uncharted series and The Last of Us games

It's basically a tournament where each level each character/vehicle has 1 goal...to be the last person standing. You have to use your vehicles weapons and power ups around the map to blow up/kill everyone else

It's against the AI though as it's a single player game (but does have split screen) and you can set the difficulty of AI in the later games.

After playing some of the games too. I definitely recommend checking out the live action TV show adaptation of it on Peacock/Paramount+. It does the games justice imo. And the second season starts/releases this April 👀
