Average difficulty missions are usually ended with some kind of boss fight. Certainly not all of them,but often enough you kind of just....build 1 build for fun and then build a double shotty/double Songird build JUST so that atthe end, after you got your shit pounded in, the dead screen let's you swap in Assembly you already own so you just take out your boss build and finish the level

The checkpoint system is usually forgiving enough to just be the bossfight

But the big names like Sea Spider, and Balteus? Absolute walls where difficulty was....very low otherwise

Even the helicopter atthe start? I saw one user say "it's a test to see if you should own the game"

Like bro, people spent $60. Imagine filling your gas tank and your car just said "nah"

@burnt thistle ||So, I finally got to the combat of this game. It feels extremely underwhelming. Kinda feels like just fallout melee and gun combat. Actually melee feels exactly identical to previous games. So far, the thing I enjoy most is the spaceship combat/exploration.||

||Another small gripe I have is the UI feels super basic. Which, normally wouldn't be too much of an issue, but in this case, it just feels extremely empty and may mislead/confuse players. The spaceship introduction (the tutorial to get acquainted with the ship mechanics) was very overwhelming. Like, having to switch what goes where was very confusing for me||

||Also, distributing power feels very tedious and cumbersome for the player. Being in combat in space and having to divert power to the shields, or engine or even the weapons just feels very annoying ||

Yes, waiting until after the main story just for the game to start getting good is rough since Starfield’s beginning is incredibly slow and doesn’t have the charm that the other games have

Most reviewers have stated to focus the main story first then everything starts opening up

Someone in my twitch chat brought up a really good point. It's kinda sad how reliant DLSS and FSR is being used for games as some excuse for bad optimization.

DLSS and FSR use to be very optional things we could use if we wanted even more fps, but now it just seems kinda required

Starfield most certainly is unoptimized. It's once again using the CE4 engine, which was used in past games

6800xt which is like two years old slapping new gen cards
4000 nvidia series are a terrible value because they offer no performance uplift
Midrange didn't improve and that's why a game like starfield is struggling

You mean they still are. I just recently installed fo76 because of my awful experience with starfield, and the performance was better than starfield, but not by much in some areas. fo4 still breaks with god rays along with a bunch of other settings.

i can run fo4 with ultra and reshade no problem nowadays, fo76 needs some fucking around with settings to get stable fps

It's just a consistent pattern with bethesda at this point. Poor performance fixed by modders with optimization patches

fo4 is an very unoptimized mess. in some areas the fps crashes down with no explanation.

This dogshit game engine is literally the only reason why I can't play it on PC. I'm glad that those who like the mechanics from previous bethesda games are enjoying it in this game.

My biggest gripe is probably seeing the countless amount of people just be like "just download mods to make the game run smoother". I mean, like yeah it will put a band aid over the problem, but taking it off, it will still be there. fallout 4 it's basically a requirement at this point to have essential mods installed in order to provide a smoother/bug free experience. That was one of the reasons I gave fallout 4 a negative review. Like I did enjoy the game, but I also had to enjoy thr game with mods enabled

Increase the internal resolution of your monitor to 1440p or 4k and then use FSR
It looks better than using upscaling at 1080p native

Game is completely dark for me i cant see anything inside the lab,all the light sources are gone
And shadows are looking like bricks from Minecraft despite setting shadow quality to Ultra

And another one is that there is screen flickering issue when i the Set the resolution scale to 70% or less

So its technically an unplayable experience
