What I really like about Heat is visual customisation of the cars being like layered armour in RPGs. It's completely separate from performance parts. Same goes for the exhaust sound of the car (there's a customisation option for the exhaust note as well though).

In FH I sometimes avoid certain engine upgrades to preserve the sound of a car

I rarely do the normal strike playlist anymore, I prefer doing the Nightfalls

No reason to run the strike playlist over Nightfalls unless you are trying to get the weekly reward from it

It was a playlist that rotated between multiple strikes

Don't remember much other than that about the D1 version though

Yeah, the game engine for D2 was not designed to last as long as it has and to handle so much content

Originally the game was meant to last for only a few years or something iirc

The engine for D2 allegedly was a shitshow to start with. Taking them hours to load maps and edit stuff...

Also don't blame unexpected life of your game for how shit your engine is

The game remade in a better engine would make everyone's lives better, but it's probably not a financial investment that Bungie/Sony would want to make
