The major issue is that cities have a lot to render so when they get past a certain size it becomes difficult to do. Obviously there's tricks to do it because some games have, like Spiderman. A trick is to not render stuff not in camera view, like the backs of buildings.

But in a car game where graphics are cranked so hard to render reflections of things you have to render that thing too. But then you're also moving very fast through the game world and shadows/reflections are hard to keep up with.

pyro is a build that works well when you know what weapon/skill you wanna use throughout most of the mid-end game, since it requires you to level two stats simultaneously at minimum just for the dmg output

for a first DS3 run I'd just say go for the haha large sword slam build or a neat quality build with a sharp dex weapon (sharp in DS3 = keen from ER)

also as Monarkey said, DS3 really doesn't suffer from bad level balancing as Elden Ring does, so you don't need to meta build to have fun

pick a weapon you like and have fun with it, it's just as good as any other

Sellsword Twinblades I pointed out earlier because they're basically the Rivers of Blood of this game

also heavily recommend doing the DLCs, esp Ringed City, one of the best pieces of content FS have made for any of their games

Lv80-100 is good enough to not have a bad time through Ariandel, and Ringed City is around the same

basically start doing the DLC right before the Kiln of the First Flame/last boss of the game

when the game hits, it hits hard 😩
