Well i just like the idea of "owning everything" so if i were you id get both whether worth it or not, but if you're asking to save money id say not really since as you said it does do the same as MOC the only big main difference are the missions you do to unlock the trade price for certain vehicles.
You can buy it for that one reason might make it worth it for you but otherwise idk, that depends on you.

However idk if you're into pvp but for pvp purposes the avenger is way better especially with 2 players, its really good if you know what you're doing with it.
