GTA’s map has tons of straights as 50% of the map is literally a highway. But for GTA’s race tracks, you care more for top speed in Stunt races since most stunt tracks are heavily top speed biased.

For standard races cornering and grip is more important since you can abuse break boosting and curb boosting more to make up for the top speed difference.
But for player custom tracks, it all depends on the layout.

But BR8 is very situational and track dependent as the open wheel cars have lots of very niche and advanced racing techs that allow them to get lap times 8-10 seconds faster than what they’re normally capable of.

But even without those racing techs the BR8 is still faster on Broughy’s track. But anything with decently long straights and the Ignus wins

Yea, interesting Rockstar put this update with this much delay. I understand it's easier to do it for consoles because it's only 3 types of hardware, XSX, XSS, PS5, and for PC players you need to test the game on multiple hardware platforms, optimalise it for every GPU drivers etc
