The more compressed is the suspension, the car will decompress faster, therefore it will compress even faster, and therefore it gains speed

IRL, when driving, the Suspension is half compressed at regularly high speeds

When you find a bump, the car suspension extends to the bump, in order to not lose the Grip of the wheel

That's why you can feel some Cars bouncing on some Streets and Roads
