The cars in this game are Japanese, but not JDM.

For instance, the 240SX is made for USDM, featuring a KA24DET engine, rather than the CA18DET in the 200SX (EDM) and the 180SX (JDM).

Now technically they're all the "same" car, except they were designed, built and approved by and for regional markets with specific adjustments and changes, such as being RHD for Japanese roads.

Which means if your car was intentionally built to be sold and driven on Japanese roads, it was very likely to be JDM.

Also, fun-fact: INFINITI may be owned by Nissan, making their cars Japanese, but their market is focused on USDM and the Middle-East.
