Yeah it is, the blast radius is a lot smaller, and unlike before, the explosion deals less damage the further away from the centre you are. But the base damage per round got a massive buff, so you can blow up armoured vehicles roughly twice as fast now. Downside is that you need more precision due to the blast radius
