If I remember correctly, you don’t need to get gold on all missions for 100%, like maybe 10 missions or so. If you wanted to you could fail 3 times and skip that part. Otherwise I hv no idea why it would fail like that

What do you mean by release cycle? It doesn't really make sense for them to first release the game on the last gen (xbox one and ps4).

They will probably do it similar to Hogwarts Legacy, where they will release the game on the new generation and have more time after the release to make any perfomance changes for the last gen release.

Also GTA 6 still has a way to go before you will see an actual release date. By then we might see a new console generation, which would push back the release date of a global GTA 6, as they would need to update to a new, but similar platform as the last (current new) gen.

gta online features a lot of the characters in story mode either as mission givers or just background people, but it's definitely not necessary to "progress the story". the timeline is also pretty jumbled up if you link the two

Sorry for the late answer,but I usually get past them no problem.
All you have to do is take it slow,channel your inner marksman and kill everyone you see before moving to another gravestone and kill everyone again.
I suggest modding the pistol before starting the mission and using the special ability only if you have a hard time hitting a headshot on someone.

Jewel Store:Smart takes one one more setup,and the Bugstars setup involves either stealth,or a police chase,which will take even longer.
Merryweather Heist:Offshore will require you to get a Cargobob as well as the minisub,and going halfway across the state in a car,then going halfway across the state in a helicopter,then going back will take some time.
Bureau Raid:Fire Crew will require more setups and has more sections within the finale.
Big Score:Subtle will require you to find and modify 4 Gauntlets,which will take a while.In addition,the finale takes longer,as there are slow walking sections,multiple stops,and a long drive back to Michael's house in the end.

I went to quick save but when I click the old save it says do u wanna overwrite the data with current game progress
