3000 pounds is a lot?
in terms of speed absolutely
That's as low as you're gonna get without gutting it of creature comforts
but they won't engineer what the car isn't meant for
Tho any driver short of the stig cant reach its limits without crashing
To be fair not very many people have driven it
True and the 24 people probably never will
oh I converted wrong
that's actually a really nice number
The venom F5 apparently has the best power-to-weight ratio of any road car
it's 1-1?
If i had the money id learn racing in a miata or a gr86 and then upgrade to something more exotic
Makes a Koenigsegg One:1 look like a Hummer H1

Or an mr2 to practice your snap oversteer
Yea that as well
everyone who uses the mr2 for hillclimb dies within 3 sec
An Audi R8 is shockingly easy to drive
Thats what i was saying id buy cars like that instead of super exotic stuff that are just garage queens
Go ahead, ask me how I know

I'm used to up to like 350 horsepower, any higher I don't have much experience on
But I'd love to try
I meant this fr
350 is the goldilocks zone i think
I'd love to drive in a radical some day
No, like on the track too
350-500 depending on weight is a great handling sweet spot
Less than 250 is too little 500+ is too much
AWD is an equalizer
depends on the weight, really
Rwd >
no
Even with awd i wouldn't take it above 550
AWD makes handling huge power much easier
I wish radicals were road legal
But no spin 😩
Yeah
rwd is useful for top end power (like the h5)
otherwise it's just an inferior platform, aside from weight savings
And shaving weight
Beat me to it
Modern awd definitely has its benefits but I loke rwd handling
To me peak(not best) car is m550i
Any hp/luxury/speed above it is a bit overkill
Fun day

I mean it can be more fun
I'm gonna do the 718 cayman soon I can't wait

I wanna drive the hellcat the next time I do this
I was gonna do the huracan but I don't wanna spoil myself on the first run
Hear that Hemi brute scream
Noice
I'm going with the 718 because it's 350hp and light so I get a zippy car I know I cant fully send
I sort of stopped listening to my codriver halfway through my time on track
Lol
He was telling me to look at some cones on the outside of the track
But I just started looking at the apexes
Hpw much does it cost
My ticket was like 300 I think
The huracan was 100 dollars more, which is funny to me
Hmm 300 is reasonable-ish
It depends on the car
Well pro race car drivers don't look at turns that are just coming up, they already anticipate that corner and look over to the next one, thay is why he was telling you to look at random far away cones but as a regular person not in a race it isn't necessary
It was for safety
And he was under the fairly safe assumption that I didn't know what I was doing
They did an eye test with and f1 driver on a sim race it was really cool
Ah
Makes sense, most people don't so they assume the majority
And I kind of want to say I did know what I was doing
it's also a good way to visualise racing lines
But I don't want to be that guy, you know
Hmm
I was braking and gunning it when he was telling me to though
Jay Leno said something really funny, he said everyone thinks they are good at driving fast, and good at sex, when in reality most don't have a clue on both
The cornering is pretty much the only place I kinda did my own thing
It helps me humble myself and practice when I do a cool turn or slide through a street with a feeling of control
I always know I could do better
I understand the basic concepts of navigating a racetrack efficiently
And in a car with such an absurd margin of error like the R8
Anyone who wants to do this should watch Hot Wheels Acceleracers
They call it "the groove"
Lol
I wasn't familiar enough with the track to develop a complete racing line
Not to mention even if I was, the instructors instructions and what not would conflict with it
Safety first and what not
Hmm
When being chased by a big monster all the other racers are caught by, the last guy is driving and someone on the mic is like "stay in the groove" and it was a windy straight so he started basically taking a racing line cutting through the corners and beat the monster
I need to watch those movies again damn
I think you can research thw track before going to it right
I would do that because these guys only give you like 3 laps so that flys by
Correct
On both counts
I don't learn very well looking at a top down flat image
I think they had a 3d elevation map
I'm not entirely sure
I haven't thoroughly checked the website in a while
I'm saying I'm more of a hands-on learner
Actually going on the track and getting the experience is the best by all means but I'm saying I would look at the track and like pencil line potential lines you'd wanna explore there and any things to watch out for like a big downhill on a turn that could affect how fast you go through or your approach
It will make the first lap a bit easier
Your codriver basically controls where you drive at first
At first
Do they have a mini class lesson thing you go to before you drive
Yes
Not very long though
And it's just a general thing, not very many per-car stuff
But they say that you can't do paddle shift on the mustang and the huracan
And I guess that means by extension the R8
But they do automatic by default, you can ask your codriver if you can do manual mode
Also I should note that you aren't alone on the track
Wait you have to ask for it or they just don't let you for these two
Because if they don't let you paddle for the huracan that sucks
If you did the r8 they are basically the same guts, did they let you paddle on the r8?
They flatout don't let you use manual for those two cars
No, they did not
You can still send it
The track I did it on had a 1/3-mile straightaway
May not seem like much but I was still able to get my machine up to like 150
Damn that's pretty good
Check out this item on OfferUp. https://offerup.co/9CImmpnAgrb
Real or fake
15 people dead
Sounds more muscle car then any muscle car I've ever heard
I love it
It sounds so old, but it doesn't have the downsides of one like ya know 300hp out of a tank engine and a clunky 4 speed
That sound is awesome
One of the best sounding cars in years imo
Finally bringing some more signature, earthshaking American thunder to the hypercar world
Except this musician of american thunder revs to 8500 RPM
I'm very curious what batshit LS-based creation is next
would yall happen to know what car this is?
1956 Jaguar Mark VII
I think
kinda hard to tell from that angle tbh
Looks like the full size version of that
I think this might be the coupe version
I think its the xf of the equivalent xj
yeah maybe
Because side profile is different the car seems smaller
The car he sent on the tow truck looks about half the size of that Jag
The styling is completely different, the curvature is much tamer onnthe Jaguar
The car on the tow truck looks older

How the fuck is that conducive
"Let's pop the tires of random suvs to show these assholes they should have bought an electric mini cooper insted!"
They aren't popping them
mother with five kids and lots of groceries who lives in a place with no driveway or available charging, buying new tires
They're just deflating them
If I caught someone doing that to my shit I'd deflate them
Though I have a feeling it may escalate to cutting tires when they realize that deflating their tires aren't really fucking doing anything other then being annoying
Not that doing that would do anything good for their cause
I'm not gonna be late because some worm hugger wants me to pay $80,000 for a car I have no where to plug in
This started in the UK
So for once Americans aren't responsible for starting a movement that does absolutely fucking nothing for society
The Uptis Prototype represents a major advancement toward achieving Michelin’s VISION concept, which was presented at the Movin’On Summit in 2017 as an illustration of Michelin’s strategy for research and development in sustainable mobility. The VISION concept introduced four main pillars of innovation: airless, connected, 3D-printed and 100% su...
This looks promising, I wonder why we haven't switched into this yet
Because it's fucking terrible to use daily
The ride of airless tires is absolutely dreadful
This technology is so new that it's far from refined enough to consider it as a replacement for conventional air tires
I would like to point out the word "Prototype" in the title and description of the video
Airless rubber is absolutely dreadfull yes
But runflats make surprisingly good 'airless' tires
But well
Expensive asfk
Because heavy reinforcements
Wow
Bruh gas suvs do less damage than 5000 lbs evs with batteries shipped all the way from china
Oh no. They've wasted 5 minutes of my time. I sure learned my lesson.
Right
Oh, no! Now I have to use my air compressor that I have in my own garage that I own because I'm not a moron!
The horror!
Imagine if one of these braindead pricks deflated like a non obvious electric car like an ev rav 4 or an Audi etron

I know this happened like 14 years ago but it's news to me

Neither
Ye
Incredibly nifty design
The ds is the probably frenchest car of them all maybe even frencher than the 2cv
ah yes the citroen ds
i see a lot of those being chased in french 70s movies
Id rather take an m340i
It doesn't come with a manual tho
Hmm the m550i is only a few grand above m3 comp
So id take that instead of a c63 or m3
Last gen definitely
This gens design is not my taste
M550i is really underrated
V8, 520hp, lsd, cleaner design, more comfortable as well
The m5 is too stiff imo
The cars look a lot better without that black hole of a front grille
Every other thing about the new m3 is amazing though
True
Alpina b3 is much better tho auto only
To each his own ig
Wdym
There's enough performance
Daisy got a little upgrade
Restomod
If it was easily feasible I would get an m3 max options and all that jazz then put the alpina front on the m3
Because I don't like aplina rims, and alpina is a luxury trim
Yea a bit too oversized
It is a trend to give it heritage but it looks dated
Noice tho I'd keep it original tho or atleast halogen
Yep
I could see someone led'ing a car from the 80s or 90s but I'd probably leave the regular lights on something that old unless I was doing other mods to it
Like widebody, paint, rims, engine
If I was keeping it stock the headlights would be out of place
For such an old car
Well you can update it 20 times but you can keep it original only once
I don't mind cut up and modified bugs but it should either be completely stock or balls to the wall
I get you
Whether thats like a dune buggy or an overpowered monster
Even in gta i dont like modding cars a lot so id probably do some internal upgrades to keep it running
Cooling fans, disk brakes, tires that sort a thing
Just enough to make it working in modern traffic
Yea ripping shitty drums off an old car I'll never have a problem with
Also maybe an alternator and some new wiring and batteries
Just keeping it fresh, you know
I wouldn't twin turbocharge an old beatle or something
People with no clue are always like POWER POWER POWER the first things I'd dabble with when upgrading a car are suspension, rims/tires, and brakes but that is a more expensive upgrade
Then after all that I'd consider a little tune or a turbo
Counterpoint; literally went from illegally dim candles to modern lights
It it was for functionality I don't mind upgrades, I thought it was just for aesthetics
yeah I often see those beetles (kevers) here and especially at night they're scary
very small and extremely dim lights
I only notice them because of their relatively bright paint and loud engine
Looks nice. Are those headlights designed specifically for bugs or did you retrofit in some jeep housings?
They’re sea-lights that for some reason fit on both the bug and a wrangler
Hello everybody
This 1967-1979 Volkswagen beetle looks fucking sick
Much bug

I'm surprised it hasn't exploded yet
Bruh
I think the starter is fucked
It keep turning after I let go of the key
💀
This happened in his outlap in this year's Le Mans, I wonder what caused him to spin out...
We've come to the point of the car market where a 90's Honda is a dream car
its my taste
u could have the bolide as ur dream car but id rather just have a stanced 94 civic
I am not saying it's a bad dream
Infact, i like these old Civics
It's just that they are going for more than they should
thus it becomes more of a dream car than it used to be for people
I think it's simply throttle-induced lost of traction. While it's a car with weight balancing issues, the spin happens too late through the corner to be a cause of weight transfer. He also doesn't hit the apex, so it's not because of that either. The glick's got a rear-engine v8 with rwd, so it's extremely prone wheel spin
another issue with the non-hybrid drivetrains in le mans is the RWD
1000kg with 800hp engine really needs 4wd
Would the cold tires contribute to that? He just changed his tires that time
single or double axle
yeah absolutely
he went around 65-80% throttle on the exist on cold tyres at night
Oh, thanks, it's really sad that he lost his 3rd place because of this but he did make a comeback from P17 to P4. After that incident, he had to limp through out the rest of the course to repair the car
yeah it was a sad loss
good thing to see that glick's made some improvements to the drivetrain and chassis, the car's a lot more stable than last year
And his best pacing record was close to the P2 Toyota
Yeah, they got nerfed
balance of performance is in favour for non-hybrid
lost an entire second because of that
It was said that Alpine was heavily hit by last minute BoP
And their car had serious mechanical issues
But hey, Glick is the 1st American car brand to make it to the podium at Le Mans since Ford's last overall victory.
it's because of their superior bodywork
the gibson still uses their lmp1 body
So that's why
If LMP2 wasn't nerfed, it would probably be faster than LMH
the alpine is literally a lmp1 with an lmp2 body and exceeded the target 3.30 time by 15 seconds
yeah, that's the whole reason why they were nerfed
lmh has a simpler body and engine
but the aero and drivetrain received major nerfs
I see... If I'm not mistaken, Alpine's clutch or gears broke during the race itself this year and it crashed but in both incidents, the car was drivable and managed to reach pit stop
Corvette 63 and 64 really ended in a heartbreaking disaster, especially the 64, it was at class P1 but it crashed after being sideswiped by an LMP2
yeah
the BoP also nerfed their top end
And I forgot what happened to Kevin Estre though, all I know is something happened to his car which made him lose the lead at Le Mans
Nvm, his right front tire broke when Christensen was driving
current lmh engine configs are centred around mid end performance because the electric engines are only allowed to be used +120km/h, the lmp2 engine from the gibson is configured for lmp1 era top end performance and was therefore nerfed
I never follow the gt3s
When Christensen was driving, the right front tire's rubber were really snapped
tyres are scary
they can break your entire car if you go fast
LMP1 is more fun but they say that the reason why it was retired is because of costs
I much more preferred lmp1
especially in terms of aero and drivetrain
I understand the need to downgrade the engines for the sake of costs, but the additional weight and aero simplification makes these cars uncompetitive
non-hybrid has no place in endurance
That LMP2 got penalized for this though
Heartbreak for the #64 Corvette
It was all getting abit tight down the Mulsanne - with the prototype pushing the LMGTE Pro leaders into the barriers.

which one?
because this is the blue car's fault
The one which hit the Corvette I think?
All I know is it was said that "the" LMP2 got penalized
the one who hit the corvette made a mistake, but one outside their capability
the blue car moved to aggressively for the vette's slip-stream
and prompted the other lmp2 to swerve
Yeah and tbf, I think the Corvette did give way to them
I watched the race 24 hours without sleeping but I only watched the Glick's livestream all throughout
That's why I didn't know much about anything what happened
because from the grey's perspective, they're sandwiched between the vette and blue lmp2 while the ferrari is turning right to make way for them, but the blue car turns too aggressively for the slip stream (probably as an attempt to counter the overtake) and prompted the grey car to swirl
On the other hand, during the early part of the race, Olivier got pissed with the GTE driver who blocked him so...
the vette should also have gone left to make way, it's too cramped for four cars between two categories
it's not supergt lmao
Oh yeah, there's enough width to the left for 1 car
Especially for a GT car
tbh the ferarri also made a mistake, they should've gone in front of the vette and let the two LMP2s overtake as they're competing and have priority as it's a straight
moving to the right blocked an LMP2 which is competing against another one
Not to mention lower category drivers are not allowed to defend against higher category drivers
And they are required to give way to higher category
AND there already is an LMP2 in front of the ferrari before he swirls
makes no sense to go right
ferrari should've been penalised
yeah absolutely
though this happens in some races
if the factory team has both prototype and gt3
As if that Ferrari can overtake the LMP2 in front of him anyway
what the ferrari should've done is stay on the left to make way for two overtaking LMP2s and make use of the other LMP2s slipstream or swirl to avoid dirty air
and then contest the vette
I'm rewatching it and that Ferrari did block 2 LMP2, including the blue car. If the Ferrari just gave way, it could've been smoother for the 2 LMP2 cars
exactly
the ferrari made that move in prospect of defending their position against the vette in the following turn
but jeopardised two cars with lane priority
On the Corvette's part, someone said that lower category drivers are not required to go out of their way although they should give way but the higher category drivers are the ones who need to search a way to overtake them
So that's probably why he didn't go to the left
That could be why when Glick and Toyota overtake the GT cars, the GT drivers mostly just stay in their lanes without paving way and without defending at the same time
I like car that go vrooooom broom btbtbbtbrbrb wboooooooff
I know this is old news but the closest to a hoverboard we have is a Hendo hoverboard, Tony Hawk himself tested it
Noice
Can someone pls Help me with Apartment Missions il Payback in cayos
Try lfg channels mate
They can't block cars though
two GTEs sparring on a straight and thereby blocking superior classes still is foul play
Noice
Can I sit in it

I'm guessing vacuum leak
Lil Jerry’s LS swapped RX-7 has all sorts of surprises for us. Big Mike’s limited run C7 ZR-1 ‘Vette has 15 intercoolers to keep the V8 LT5 running smooth and lots of carbon fiber to keep things light. Gary’s right, this one’s a slobberknocker!

Probably lambo
kek
Atleast if short strip
bmw gots the rolling race ...lambo won drag only cause of awd and grips
Yess

btw the rx7 won everytihng kek
rxls7

Yes corvette snowplow

C5s and c6s were really cool cars
Cadillac electric crossover is still a thing o have to get used to but really a nice car
Youre binge watching drag vids aren't you

I saw an Lamborghini which is rare to see here
Too fast to take a picture
I heard the engine and I saw it
A Huracan Performante, pretty cool
Yes pretty cool
wat ever u are driving is better than that kek
A nissan with 150.000 km
I think
Prob more
That nissan has seen it all
I also signaled to him on the red light to rev it
He didn't
Which car?
Almera you probably never heard of it
1997
Never had a problem with the engine
It has been airborne for 2 secs
Don't ask
Noice
Ooo
Love the black on it, but I personally would want a bright exotic color for an exotic like that
yeh same
Nice one
That's a good sign.. right
Yes
Hopefully doesn't explode
I'm gonna fill it
72 dollars to full Miata Fuel tank
Bruhh
Why is it so expensive
Wait
48 bucks

I think that gen gallardos also came with v10 manuals
Who wants to buy one?
Miata Throttle Body Gasket
Made from premium cardboard
From the Amazon

they really named it asian vehicle

Bruh they missed toyota
And Honda
🗿
They were all v10's but I think they all came in manuals and if the later years didn't then they did in the special trims
like the ones where they'll charge you an extra $50,000 to actually have less features in the car lol
then charge them back in options if you wanted them
This name I can pronounce correctly but always forget how to spell
Ferrari is more secretive than others in their LMH and LMDh
But I like the design
That is Ferrari's answer to Toyota's dominance at WEC.
Yes yes balboni or something remember hearing about it in top gear
I wonder if we can watch the 6h Monza for free or not, like just free onboards
Toyota, Alpine and Glickenhaus(under Motul's youtube channel) streamed their onboards for free during Le Mans
Let's have a first look at the Ferrari LMH Hypercar.
Why did Ferrari chose LMH over LMDh
Which unique design features can we see?
Which engine are they using?
Let me know how you like the Ferrari Hypercar in the comments below!

pretty sure it doesn't have enough downforce if it flies
Times are changing promises are being broken, but that's not that much of a bad thing
Ferruccio said lambos will never race and Ferrari promised to never enter lmp1
Technically, Ferrari didn't break that promise because LMP1 has been retired already
I wanna see Lambo v. Ferrari in 2024
Ooh
Ooh
I also think my fuel injectors aren't tight
So it gets air and then shuts off
When I add more fuel I'll see
yes
Manual?
Dw there's plenty of time to learn
Maybe a decade at the absolute most
To be a good manual driver yea
But since he already has some expertise with auto id say 6 weeks max to cover all the important stuff
Not even that
I'm willing to bet they will be either made in extremely limited numbers or outright gone in 10 years from now
Ohh like that
In india manuals still outsell autos
So if say until shift to ev happens we still will have stick shift
In more.... Developed... Countries, pretty much every field the manual gearbox was used for, it has been usurped by automatics or semi-automatics (dual-clutch a la C8 Vette)
No shade towards India or anything but
Here in my country, MTs are often for basic/entry models, it's rare for high and top models to have MTs. Many people want MT for nostalgia
But for me, I think MT has advantage over AT in maintenance cost. For fuel consumption, not anymore.
It doesn't help that the image is distorted or whatever you're taking a picture of is bent in some way
My first guess is a first-gen Chevy camaro
It's a shirt so
I tried to get it as straight as I could
It looks like a 1969 Camaro
I say 69 because I don’t remember a 67’ with side vents like that
Even here luxury cars are all auto
But manual is more efficient/cheaper than auto so normal cars are available with stick
Maybe Glickenhaus really doesn't have big budget for his racing team. Someone in Twitter said that the Glickenhaus 709 is privately owned.
So far so good ig
Porche
Ah
Other guy was right
It's a 1967 Camaro
Nvm
Camaro is longer
Thx y'all
I'd rather have a new Audi s5 over an old Mustang depending on price and trim of mustang obviously. But if this is the mans dream car and holds sentimental value then trading it in feels weird
If it was an rs5 sure i can see some reason for it
For s5 money id definitely go m340i
nah m8 I'd take a classic mustang over any audi
That's the norm over here too
Oo
The luxury bit is
The only manual cars here nowadays are older cars and sports cars
I thought the average car in America is auto
It is

Is buying subscription of motorsporttv for 1 month just for Monza worth it?
It truly depends on the classic mustang because classic mustang could mean clunky base trim worth about a snickers bar and screw driver.
It you could have an extremely rare Shelby trim worth over a million
idc it looks cool anyway
If we are talking about the shelby then yea I’d take it and sell it
Then buy something fast
The only muscle car i’d keep is a Plymouth Cuda 71’
Purple with the Hemi accents/decals
hm? the race?
Yes
if you don't want to pay i can direct you down the high seas route
Oh wow although it would be nice if there's an onboard stream
Man wish i have one
I think it means that they gained 1 position from the position they started I'm not sure tho
I see
In a race, if a race car is being repaired inside the pit stop garage but the race ended while it's still inside and the repairs are not done, will it be DNF?
Beemer.
If only I race for Toyota GR at Le Mans, I want Scotty Kilmer to be my pit crew chief or head mechanic.
Bmw
And not from the badge
All bmws have red backlights
There's no check engine light tho
So not BMW
"Service Engine Soon"
There's your check engine light
Now if you'll excuse me
I'm sulking

I’d say it’s more of a warning but okay
A check engine light is it’s on code

People manage to abuse track limits anyway, sausage kerbs or not
In my opinion, manufacturers and racing teams should really put their feet down and tell the race organizers of Monza to remove those sausage curbs and put gravels or plant grasses there.
Oh, right, every track. I still don't get the point of sausage curbs
Lazily punish the drivers for track limits
Imagine if large manufacturers who participate in motorsport threaten the race organizers to remove sausage tracks or they'll withdraw all their cars from the race in those tracks...

Supra MK4 > Supra MK5
Bold take
I'll be specific, the engines
Again, bold take
The 2jz is an amazing classic but don't sleep on the b58 it's pretty durable
That's all anyone likes about the MK4 Supra
The engine
Everything else about the car is either neglected or just outright misunderstood
I mean the design is nice and smooth, it stands well compared to modern cars
The dashboards pretty cool
I would choose others over it but the supra is cool
I'd 100% choose an nsx over a supra or if I wanna go a little cheaper, an rx-7
It was not a sports car
It was not cheap
It was not fast
I also like the look of Supra MK4
It wasn't cheap, but for it's time it definitely was the other two
It was a touring car
Tourings and gts are like ultra sub sections that nobody even cares about
It's a sports car with shitty back seats
Not a bentley lmao
I'd call the Astons or continental gts touring cars
Or a ferrari lusso
But they are also supercars
If that's how they created it I'm glad they made it sport first with the new one
I still find it odd how tiny the new supra is
But they saved money by taking a chassis of a completely different car so whatever
Whatever works
"Nice BMW🤓"
Got anything else to say about it, smart guy?
No? Didn't think so
Instagram car community man
Cesspit
I didn't like that they just took a ton of internals frim a completely different company when it first was announced because I thought Toyota would make another in house bulletproof engine
But the days of long reliability is over
Cars ain't built to last anymore
Other than that concern, the car is fine
Well, the seats of Bentleys allegedly are
Looks a bit wacky with those big ass headlights

I mean they are probably expensive
They test them at some ungodly temperatures for way longer then they will ever be exposed to
Cool
I mean almost $300,000 for a car you're getting what you get for that kinda cash
I wouldn't get a v8 it seems odd to have a big ass luxury car and not go all in on it
Cadillac
Get that escalade V with that LT4
Which is probably the last time the LT4 will be put in a new car
Ik Cadillac and gm have come a long way from the utter shit they were not too far back then, but I personally can't see myself driving one
I see myself driving a Caddy over any other luxury car
The only one thay I loke is that sporty sedan the black jawl or black wing idk
Because I'm Biased
Cadillac's between after world war two until like this generation are pretty horrendous. The engine and electrical issues give Ford a run for their money
For me, turbocharged petrol engines will never make NA petrol engines obsolete
Cadillac used to be on par with rolls bentley and all those amazing companies
Once Chevy got more involved they improved a lot though
But they became another leased rebadged "luxury" version of some base car that had 95%of the same shit
Gm ruins anything it touches
Unless it's their pride and joy
If it isn't instantly, it erodes
Chevy isn't doing much to appeal to the inner 10 year old in all of us
At least compared to the other two
If I wanted a car purely for luxury or to be driven in I'd just go with one of the big three. Maybach, Bentley, or Rolls Royce. I know Cadillac and Lincoln are cheaper so it's not fair to compare flagship sedans but I'm not really into them

WEBSITE & MERCH...
So much stuff that can break
I'm just glad cars are past the era of utter shit they once were between the 70' to the early 2000's were they were all obvious rebadges and the only difference was the color of plastic in the dashboard
Will*
Now some Indian guy owns them or something
Jaguar is under their umbrella so I wonder how their reliability is. Being British and all I'm gonna assume just as bad
They're sharing components now
Have have for a long long time
They really were american at one point weren't they
I like the f type v8 but nothing else jaguar makes really excites me
Their f pace suv looks decent though
Even though the defender is supposed to be durable
It's a fiat 500 underneath though
McLaren: Am I a joke to you?
Because everything is in secret
They have reliability issues too
How can a literal suv be a "scaled up" big v8 miata lookin thing
Oh, how about RR and Bentley?
mclarens are unreliable too
The McLaren V8 is the epitome of an "okay" engine
I mean they look very, very similar
McLarens look beautiful, and have amazing dealer and customer service that's all they have going for them
No they don't that's like saying a Grand Cherokee looks like chrysler 300
Oh, so that's why McLaren has also been known as "poor man's supercar"
?
It's still not at the same level with the known Italian supercar brands
Really
Meanwhile they cost more than Lamborghinis and Ferraris
And blow them out of the water
If that's the case then I wanna be poor
Oh my...
Tfw the “entry-level” mclaren is more expensive than the “entry-level” Ferrari
poor man’s supercar yes
Whoever calls mclaren a poor mans super car probably is butt hurt they didn't kiss Ferraris ass enough to acquire a spot on the ass kissing list for their new special edition of their base car that has a little Italian flag in it
I'd rather get a damn Huracan than wait for some pompous prick to call me too young or not cultured enough... meanwhile I know more about Ferraris than the saleman 💀
Calling mclaren a poor man’s supercar is like calling Bentley a poor man’s rolls Royce
For Italian brands, I would probably choose Pagani
If I had to pick one of the more hyper-exclusive brands I would probably pick Koenigsegg
It's not even because I'm biased in favor of V8s
I just like their cars more
Newer ones even have cupholders
Does that mean I can finally order a Starbucks drink in my multi million dollar hyper car?

Koenigsegg and SSC are great.
SSC have made 2 models in like 20 years
Despite the Tuatara's false speed record, its true record is still highly impressive
Hopefully Hennessy goes and beats them
But my most favorite supercar or hypercar brand would be Glickenhaus
Not a fan of their cars
Jim just needs more budget
Maybe the reason why their 007S is expensive because it still largely complies to Le Mans rules, including being equipped with permanent pneumatic jacks
I can't think of a car that sounds more American then this
Their style is often building race cars then build street legal versions of their race cars
The sound of American V8 is undeniable
Sounds like your average straight piped corvette /S
Least muscular Ecoboost V6
Bottom text
Some choose either small I4 turbocharged engine or big NA V6 or V8 engine. Why not a big turbocharged V6 or V8 engine?
Without researching I won’t be surprised if the F5 has like 5mpg
It's not even road legal
Can only drive it on show and display rights💀
How much in American terms
no,
How many football fields
jk
Can it at least drive from one side of the US to the other
You should say how many Barrett M82s
Because Hennessy is Texan
Wait
No
I'm just thick
Barrett isn't texan
In all honesty they may as well be though
Anyway
That front looks wacky
I love the headlights though
Genesis is the only brand who have horizontal split headlights that don't look absolutely horrendous
The Ferrari SF90 kinda has it
https://www.theverge.com/2022/7/12/23204950/bmw-subscriptions-microtransactions-heated-seats-feature
The hell? Looks like microtransactions are making their way to automobile industry...
That's fucking ridiculous
If the equipment is already installed they shouldn't be charging a fee to use them...
In America we do that shit with a one-time fee💀
Hopefully that's something that can be bypassed with an aftermarket tune/flash
True, BMW wants customers to pay to use equipment they already own, literally.
I dont really like it
Design is subjective
Well today is a sad day
RIP
Yikes
This should be bmws motto for half the shit they have been creating

It was a bmw actually
It’s guaranteed total
Damn
🗿
Looks like the structure is mangled
If the rear fender was not hurt it would've been a lot easier
Rocker still looks straight at least.
Buy it back, replace fender and door, pull out the quarter panel and/or throw some over fenders on it and call it a day
Some 16 year old kid would love a salvage title 86 to screw around with
💀

So update on my wrecked 86, im getting 29k for it, i only paid 20k and i owe 18k on it so im making 11k off of it
not entirely sure yet
i have 2 weeks to decide
i could go for a GR86 for 10k down and i'd be paying like an extra 40 bucks bi weekly than my 86
Great news
Holy shit what insurance provider do you have I need to total my car with them
They really valued a used 86 at $29k
Gadam
Market value decides it
Basically a 2017 86 with around 56k kms on it has around that value
Also I’m with AllState
Well all used car prices are rising so
from gt to gr? @urban pond
major upgrade, go for it
what else were you thinking of instead
Unfortunately
Right when I need to buy a god damn car

"heh, want a V8 in today's economy? Good fucking luck!"
Integra who?

Goofy ahh DeLorean

I’m doing a transmission replacement on my Silverado
-My truck uses 4x4 on the floor
-Donor truck has electronic 4wd engagement
Will the transmission from the donor truck work in my truck? Posting it here in hopes someone will know from experience. It’s a 2004.
I don’t wanna tear my drivetrain apart just to find out GM fucked up with their electronic systems so bad that the new trans won’t work
Would definitely confirm with a GM forum, but afaik most Silverados, 1500s anyway, had a 4l60E
anyway... as I was about to say a 4l60e is a 4l60e, I think in your situation the only component that's different between your truck and the donor is the transfer case (electronic vs manual)
output shaft on the transmission should be the same, doubt they'd make any changes to that across similar-gen 4wd models, and the TCM shouldn't have anything to do with the t-case

That N Vision 74 looks cool
RN22e and N Vision 74 are more than just another production models. We call them Rolling lab, representing the continuous development of our most advanced technologies.
This unique and strategic approach prepares us for the challenges of the future by pushing ourselves beyond the limits.
#HyundaiN #Neverjustdrive #Nday #RollingLab #RN22e #NVi...
Which is faster, LMP1 or Group C?
Lmp1 cars. Group c ended in the early 90's
so by comparison the modern lmp1's are much, much faster
but the Mazda 787 is a beauty
it always will be

Knew it
If this is what cars will look like in 10 years, I'm all in for it.
If they can still sound as nice as 20+ years prior, even better.
I’ve never seen soemethig both retro and futuristic at the same time
That looks sick
The front reminds me of a BMW
I think it was the E30
Just wanted extra confirmation. GM always finds a way to complicate the electronic system.
I tried r/silverado
try ls1tech instead
Or a chevy group on FB (if you use it)
Could still be manual if we switch to a better fuel alternative
Same lights on both sides lol
Guess this is how I'm sharing the rally I got to see today
Phone too slow to upload it directly to discord
