Modernity is ruining cars.
The engine is 2.0L biturbocharged diesel engine
The ranger is considered a midsize truck in the US
Fuckin midsized?
Yep
Shits one of the biggest cars on the road in my country
If you want a big truck go look at a ram power wagon
213ps and 500Nm torque
500foot pounds of torque makes up the small engine size i guess
Ram power wagon is 260 inches long
People might say that its engine would break down when hauling heavy loads but hey, it's Ford and have faith in Ford in durability and reliability
Which equates to about 6.6 meters
Geez
But kidding aside, Mazda and seemingly Toyota don't really believe in downsizing the engines
Trucks get bigger here, don't worry
I want to buy a 5.0 mustang after this focus is beyond repair. But toyota seems a good route...
The Hilux and Fortuner here have 2.4L turbodiesel engine and 2.8L turbodiesel engine, 2.4L has modest output and 2.8L has high output but still less hp than the Ranger Raptor's engine.
Yup
Nahhh
Does the car even move?
And only 3 cylinders
Suzuki moment
It has 99hp and 152Nm torque so it should move
There are motorcycle engines bigger than that
But it will probably still struggle
Someday, the trend of downsizing engines will go out of hand
It hasn't already?
One of my mates when and got a honda cr300. Thing fucking rips with 90hp
Before, I had discussions here, I was an avid believer that small turbocharged engines are better than large NA engines at almost everyway
I don't know if a new car sold in the US today that makes under 100 horsepower
Not so much now?
Most compact-midsize cars make between 150 and 250
I even had an idea that a Dodge Ram and Chevy Suburban should have a 1.8L I4 twin-turbo engine, 2.0L at most.
They wouldn't fucking move
Interestingly enough I am currently in the process of pushing 200hp out of my 2.0 engine right now
They probably wouldn't be very good trucks either
Yeah, especially that a certified car technician youtuber once said that if he has a vehicle for hauling heavy loads everyday, he still prefers large NA engine over smaller turbocharged engine with same output and his reason is for power demand which NA delivers
Scotty kilmer or someone else?
You can get big power out of a turbo
Someone else, here in Ph
But reliably and consistently at all RPMs...
Or low RPMs, anyway
He also said that in his reason for choosing NA
20-30ish hp on most small fwd cars.
Which turbos are very incapable of doing
Btw, Jason Fenske also made a good video about turbocharged engines
His youtube channel is Engineering Explained
Ik him
Not sure if he changed now but 2 years ago, he did make a video about why we shouldn't buy a turbocharged car
Too think i was going to k20+ turbo swap my car
I think the next car I'm getting is turbo'd
Not my choice but a new car is a new car
Although modern turbocharged vehicles have minimal lags nowadays thanks to anti-lag system, VNT/VGT, twin-scroll turbo and especially sequential turbo.
I like the sequential turbo because it gives 2 boosts
What you thinking?
My parents are getting me a '22 Ford Maverick
My dream cars are pretty much all supercharged lol
I can't remember is a maverick an suv or coupe?
Depends on who you ask
If you ask Ford they'll say it's a truck
But if you ask a truck person they'll say it isn't a truck
I think the Supra GR would be better in track than its BMW counterpart
One question 5.0 mustang 2016- 2018 or lexus LS400 2000-2004?
It's on a crossover frame, which is the first offence
I would choose Mustang because I like performance cars
2nd offence is that the bed is only 4.5 ft long (most truck beds are around 6)
Mustang is 40k dearer
3rd offense is that it can't tow for shit
Hmmm... You see them quite a lot though
The max it can tow is 4,000 pounds, and that's with the best engine and a towing package
4000 isn't all that bad
It is for a truck
Not like you are going to be towing a yacht or something
*half of a truck
Trucks should be able to tow 5,000 minimum, maybe 6
Here in Ph, Mustang even the 2.3L Ecoboost are for rich guys, I've been in the US and Mustangs are almost as common as Toyota Corollas here though.
Ph.. Where in the world is that?
Philippines
Right
I was really surprised when I saw Mustangs left and right in the US
You could import them.. That wouldn't be too expensivr
Uh
It's the US
Not to mention those Mustangs are 5.0L V8
'MERICA!!!
The birthplace of the mustang
Again, US
But what's even more surprising is Mustangs in Canada are cheaper than in the US itself, why?
Detroit is a ghost town now though

Americas price are more inflated and far more taxed than canadas
Ooooh, that's why
Plus I'm pretty sure we make some mustangs in Canada
The only people you see driving mustangs over here are guys in their thirties unlike america.
I wouldn't say that, custom duties and import fees for vehicles here are extortionate amount of money
RIP
In fact, the reason why cars here are expensive is because only 4 models here are not imported and even imports from neighboring countries are already expensive, let alone imports from the US
Buying a mustang practically made next door:πΏ
Importing a European-spec mustang from the UK
Haha
Maybe Ford should build a Mustang with like 3.0 turbocharged engine but that would probably defeat its purpose of being an American muscle car
Well it's been good and all but it's pushing midnight. Thanks.
Goodnight
The Ecoboost exists lol
More powerful than the current Ecoboost, another Ecoboost
4.0 litre mustang mustang na sold to everyone. That would take ford back to their roots, while still having a profit margin
Back to their roots how? Just out of curiosity
Hmmm?
Ford was meant to be affordable for everyone
They are in the US, which is where their roots lie
Thats why the model T was cheap and middle-low class could afford it
Australia has worse inflattion than america and however we don't have anymore factories over here.
Which would explain the prices
Here in Ph, people still don't trust Ford
Remind me.. What happened?
They have a reputation for being a bit unreliable
Yeah..
Wait but why a 4.0 liter specifically
The pre-facelift of the current gen Ford Endeavor/Everest had reliability issues here, particularly with its turbocharger
I'd say my opinion on ford is biased though
And here, if you want a vehicle with diesel engine, buying a Toyota is an "almost guaranteed way" to pass the emission test requirements. π
American companies don't seem to make 4.0 engines much
I wish they would. 4.0 is the reliable-r, cheaper, more efficient, more powerful engine between the 3.0 and the 5.0
4.0 6cyl would be perfect
Displacement doesn't determine reliability
It is however a factor
Less cyl-smaller engine+ simplicty= less to go wrong
Mitsubishi and especially Isuzu diesels will make you need to be very careful or be apprehended for smoke belching or fail the emissions tests
LS engines would like to have a talk with you
And just any Chevy 350
Hmm
V8s, between 5.7 and 7 liters, some supercharged, some not
Actually between 5.3 and 7
I still don't understand why a shitty rotary engine car, that was nade in japan and sounds like carpet ripping makes jdm fanboys cream

Because it's a unique engine and it sounds okay
As an engine it's fucking terrible though, I don't care what anyone says
I don't understand half the shit that JDM fanboys are in to
I second this
Yes, yes they are
unique engine and sounds great
But many JDM fanboys are jokes.
787B gets a pass
small but efficient engines are cool
Those are easily the two most well-known cars that utilized rotaries
Many JDM fanboys even think that only JDMs can be tuned
In a shop or someones garage more often than not
I mean they blow up the second it hits the road
Unique is something i'll sacrifice for reliabilty
A friend of mine once showed a JDM fanboy a tune shop where American and European performance cars are being tuned and he(JDM fanboy) was really shocked to see non-JDM cars being tuned, how's that?
Which is weird considering driving it hard every once in awhile is supposed to be good for the engine
Had an argument with a guy on this very server about how supras and skylines are not the most powerful cars in existence
What did he say?
I mean jdm gained traction as it was relatively affordable performance cars for a wide range of buyers, but these cars cost a fortune these days
It amazes me that that is an argument that is actually made
170K for a gtr
Some shit like " stfu supra is better idc what you say"
90 for a supra
Thank you, Universal Studios
Thanks F&F
Tbh, fanboyism and hype are largely the reasons why Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and 1990s Toyota Supra are why their prices are almost same with a brand new Lambo supercars and for me, that's a blatant scam.
wdym stock 280 hp v6 is not the most powerful thing in the world
This includes F&F fanboys
They aren't worth that much
I mean it's not the fanboys specifically
it's that investors noticed that there was extremely high demand for relatively cheap cars that are no longer made

I hope lexus ls400s don't have this happen to them.
tbh I really hate those highway rockets, like wtf is the point of a 900hp skyline that can hardly take a corner efficiently
unstable bs
or stanced evo's
At the current prices for these JDM relics, just buy a base AMG performance car which outperforms those JDM relics in everyway and you will have lots of spare money left.
yeah but it's about the cars, not the performance
Yo bro lets rev the fuck out of my camaro and send the piston rod to the moon.-American Highschooler
the culture is about the tuning an otherwise average powered car and tailoring it to your liking
If I would buy a classic performance car, I would prefer classic Corvette Stingray
And classic Dodge Viper GTS
Those are beautiful if you ask me
I'm not a fan of american cars
I am very much a ford guy.. But dodge vipersπ« π«
never liked the idea of big cars with big engines
prefer smaller cars with efficient engines
Even during the 2000s, the JDM car I liked is Honda/Acura NSX
there's a reason why small hatchbacks can beat murcielagos or gallardo's
on the track
K20 swap my Focus???
And Lancer Evo as well as Subaru WRX STi

yeah shame they're no longer made
current wrx is ehh
WRX is going downhill if you ask me, I like the older ones better
I mean there's no competition
The pre-hatchback
Lancers and WRX used to be cool. Not so much now
subaru doesn't enrol in wrc and has no competitors
I mean lancer was never cool
evo was
Post-Evo era Lancer models are jokes
I don't mind lancers, evos used to be a car I dreamt of owning, especially the 1999 one.
I always loved the 5 and 6
didn't like the 7-9 as much
they also dropped out of wrc
6 is dope
That reminds me when is the next WRC championship. i want to see if i can go?
next season isn't announced yet
really curious how they'll do in greece and japan
This is an amazing rally car.
https://gran-turismo.fandom.com/wiki/Peugeot_206_Rally_Car_'99
The Peugeot 206 Rally Car '99 is a rally car produced by Peugeot. It appears in every main Gran Turismo game to date since Gran Turismo 2, with the exception of Gran Turismo Sport. The car appears to be the #14 driven by Francois Delecour, who achieved a 16th place finish in the 1999 WRC season's Driver's Championship. "The 206-based WR car that...
yeah makinen will approve
Only if GT-Four
And Scotty Kilmer
Do it for scotty
Rev up your engines!
His laugh is infectious
I loved the way 206 looked so well proportioned
What do you guys think of this track? Would this be good irl?
It may not be much of a competition but at least our obligatory 'eye candy' GT-One endurance race is done and dusted!
You didn't think I'd forget did you?

Reckon i get rotiform wheels for my focus?
I want the last gen Ford Focus which has 1.6 turbocharged engine.
Although I heard that it used the Ford powershift transmission which had issues
1st gen SVT?
All auto focus's are unnresponsive dog shit
Oh
And wait, it's not 1.6, it's 1.5
And nvm, this uses 6 speed AT
I heard that Ford reverted its Ecosport's AT to torque converter due to issues with their powershift DCTs
Love my focus
It's so fun to drive
I would pick Ford Focus over Honda Civic RS Turbo
Dont like the look of the new civic
I'm fine with it but I like the outgoing gen's instrument cluster more than the new one
It needs to look more sporty imo
Aah i don't like the way the type r is expected to look
I dig the si tho
Really high dash to axle ratio for a civic and small rear overhang
More bimmer than honda
the New Si could use some work its nice but it just doesnt have that cool Si look last Gen had
Integra should have had a coupe option
Aah really disappointed with that car
Not even acuras nice awd as option just a redressed civic
I'm in love
Why...
Looks cute
if it comes with some proper performance I'll take it
I have a question in off-roading. What advantage does specific off-road(such as mud terrain, desert tires and snow tires) tires have over all-terrain tires?
Value for money and grip levels. Only one over the all terrains that i would buy are the snow ones. The all terrains can have different psi and become desert, mud and sand tyres.
.
VTEC sounds simple as an acronym but when you look at the technology... Holy shit it is interesting
Grip levels? They have higher grip levels for their respective off-road over all-terrain?

awesome
Wow
This is true beauty.

Omg, cheburek!
bro my cousin in romania steals better cars
I pay you to draw my Montero
As much as I want new headlights I love the 86 insignia on them
Nice detail π
Yep
Is this a boot or a mafia sized body basket lmfao

Never going offroad in its life
That thing is fucking wacky
The tires are too thin, so I'm sad it's not an actual crawler
Perfect example of "I have more money than sense"
Yeah it's cool and unique, but what a hateful terrible little machine. People gotta ask themselves whether or not they should rather than could.
Well, diesel fuel has become more expensive than petrol fuel here, I'm happy we have a petrol powered car
Petrol (premium at least) is more expensive than diesel here, which is crazy. Can't remember a time where this was the case until now.
I'm not fond of diesel anyway because of their unit and maintenance costs
Petrol engines can be expensive too
Well, one big reason why petrol engines are cheaper to maintain than the diesel engine is many NA petrol engines are still here while virtually all diesel engines are turbocharged nowadays
But diesel engines last longer than petrol engines before needing maintenance

Modern cars crumple a lot for pedestrian and passenger safety so its not really a surprise
Pedestrians? Is that what you call speed bumps?

Yet the bmw is safer for both pedestrians are drivers
The crumble zone mitigates much of the impact from collision
more expensive to fix in a minor crash though
Seals the deal
Yes, but I value my health more than my pocket
I take Yugoslav shitbox
Normally I'm largely indifferent to fiero replicas but
Pretty decent
A physics professor told me that many new cars crumple more easily for safety of the passengers then he said "I don't know about American muscle cars though, if those cars crashes to a cement, the cement will break".
Old muscle cars from before the 80s crumbled like paper in a collision
I didn't know that
IIHS 50th anniversary demonstration test β’ September 9, 2009
In the 50 years since US insurers organized the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, car crashworthiness has improved. Demonstrating this was a crash test conducted between a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu. In a real-world collision similar to this test, occupan...
Beyond primative "front bumpers", indicators, seatbelts and mirrors, car safety wasn't really a thing until 30-40 years ago
By that I mean it really wasn't much of a concern
True
At low speed impact of course they seemed strong but at high speed impact it crumpled a lot because body on frame
We started doing that due to the oil crisis in '73
Of course we were total shit at it at first
Lol
Tuners nerf irl
Lol
This thing with 8.2l v8 made 190hp
This was chevys big block the 5 liter one made like 130π
This is my dream car
I really love those
Yea
I wish we had a modern chevelle basically ct5v coupe
Yea
Bigger more comfortable camaro
and 5MPG?
I just hope they don't make it like the 2000 Camaros
Oo yea the fish face
Yea
True
It took us like 35 years to bring our engine outputs back up to acceptable performance levels
Bacon

building engines is not easy especially when all you think about is burgers
And fuel economy
And environmental protection
Whatever that is
im giving up on my v8 man
I'm giving up on getting one
Now that i think of it 2000s look like the modern 60s
I'm talking late 2000s
Or I mean late 90s lol
Wait
Not that one iether
Hol up
Yea all the best cars came from 90s early 00s
Gimme a min
High performance cars were still manual
Ah, the first time the Camaro outsold the mustang
A shame it was that pitiful model year
Lol
Yea
A lot of cars did tbf
The gto's
True
I don't really like any mid-late 70s American cars
That was pre-oil crisis though
Oi 70 is way better than 76
We couldn't get our collective shit together until the 80s
Lol
Even then a lot of our once-great American muscle icons either died outright in the 80s or they were fucking butchered
Wasn't there a charger in the 80s which was a rebadged mitsubishi
Did u know that technically the Bugatti was German but sold to the French?
Vice versa
Originally French but now owned by Volkswagen Group now
Which of course is German
But the original factory was in land that was disputed between France and Germany at some point
Yes
Either during WW1 or WW2, don't remember
1902
Founder was originally Italian too
So I guess it depends on how you look at it
Yea
Bugatti: a nationality crisis
But as far as the brouchers are concerned Bugatti is French but are also owned by a German company
That explains why even the classic cars weren't as quirky as the citroens or peugeots
As long as the origin is French Iβd still consider it a French brand
I see it the same was as calling Mazda Japanese despite being owned by Ford at one point
U know alot people underrate the peugeots
True
Some Peugeots are cool but I like Renaults more
Peaugeot 206 is one of my favorites
Yea
Iβm a big sucker for the RS trim hatch backs
I think back in 2017?
Oh dam
Either way it was a concept car
Oh
No wait it was 2012
They didn't release it?
Nope
Oh
I remember this in asphalt really pretty
Oh yea
A copper outer body probably wouldn't be very good in the real world
It was too expensive for me when I had asphalt
Was GT sport for me
Looks kinda like the cyclone in GTA
I still wonder why French companies pulled out of NA
Japanese companies already had the compact market firmly in their grasp
Canada should have kept them at least since we got Quebec

I just wanted a Megane RS
Lol
Plus the US was starting to explore it too
Now they just use our cars
Hell we built half our cars in Canada
Why else would they have a Kph speedometer
Lol
The aztek was so fucking ugly
Imagine these were street legal
Good brakes good handling would be one of the greatest car to have
Lol
But fuck man brembos are stupid expensive
should have bought a GT with factory brembos
Lol
Breaking Bad throwbacks
Mr. Bean trolls that car a lot.
Except itβs blue
Its literally like this worst handling car in the world
Lol
I mean thereβs basically training wheels for it
How
Basically just stops the car from tipping on its side
Tax loopholes bring about some wacky shit sometimes
Punto π₯΅
You wouldn't be able to drive it
You'd immediately spin out
Engine would overheat at a traffic light
How
Maintenance is a few 100k every year
Jesus
Racing cars have different cooling systems that rely on high speeds
Some have systems which alter the engine's output and compression (rally cars for instance)
But even on highways you can overheat
They're also literally painful to drive
Oh
Roads aren't as bumpless as tracks, yet the suspension is as stiff as a brick
Oh yea true
Track toys should stay on the track
Not to mention straight cut gears
Race cars are not designed for comfort so there's that
is that the mitsuok
Nah it's that Hitler

Walt's car
The concept wasn't that terrible imo
Almost every ugly car had a much better looking concept
Almost every car that had a concept car, really.
R35 GT-R is one of the few that I think looked better in production...
... But I still think the prototype looked best, between the concept, prototype and the initial production version:
True prototype is more elegant
400z or Z really looks better than the prototype tho i think it will look better if they split the grill with a red line instead of making the whole top half different
Forgive my poor finger drawing skills
Chad
Yea I want da grill separation

the supra mk5's concept
for example
the ft -1 concept
not to say that the supra mk5 is ugly
but the ft1 looked much better
Exactly i was really disappointed at how it turned out
i still think its a well designed car
just not like the ft1
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT IS THE BMW ENGINE
kidding, i see you may be a bmw fan
Mk5 looks like a kit car of ft1 on a z4 base
Both z4 and bmws don't look that great bmws never really mastered the small roadster design
This looks great but not very bmw
Oh
what car do you wish was in gta? as a mod atleast?
Oh there are lots
They have a treasure chest of cars in gta4 already designed modeled licensed and named but still not added
the e46, c5 corvette, ferrari 360, db9 etc
i have modeled an f1
which i think the community may like in gta
idk anything on modding tho
if i was to work with a modder
umm
i cant send a link/pic cuz im not level 5 yet
its the latest f1 design
if you click on my profile
and go to my artstation
you can see it
Oh ill check that
found it? should i dm you to show you it?
Looks great
it may be too high poly for gta but id work on that
What software did you use
Blender 3D
Noice i have to learn that one day
I dont know much really
any idea where id find modders?
In #gta-vehicles there are guys like ashton
hm okay
Gosh, the prototype's headlights look ugly to me
Also, when will Nissan build an R36?
Why do I feel like the new CR-V's dashboard is similar with the new Civic?
https://www.autoindustriya.com/auto-industry-news/2023-honda-cr-v-s-dashboard-looks-familiar.html
Oh well, it's a common practice for manufacturers to give different car models in their lineup similar dashboard, especially if they're based on same platform.
Because it's cheaper
I thought they were making an R50 or something?
Probably still a concept
That wasn't Nissan
huh
I thought so
The good thing about it is it's easier for drivers to adapt when for example, they sell their Civic to buy a CR-V
Actually, apparently the exterior and interior designs are the only things Nissan did do
I think there are people who takes time to adapt from one van or even one car to another if the dashboards are very different so having similar dashboards can help them
ItalDesign is developing, engineering and building the car
At least according to themselves
Here in Ph, Nissan is one of the JP car manufacturers which have impressive techs
Nissan, Honda, Mazda and Subaru
What
What are you fucking saying π
And you guys know what? Here in Ph, Nissan's aircon is the best
Not sure in other countries
@jagged sentinel itβs the callsign/number sign of the trucks in order
From decades ago even until now, people here still love Calsonic the most
Ah
Yeah Iβm a firefighter π
Probably the same if not better in other countries
Oh, nice!

You're not a veteran but I thank you for your service nonetheless
Unless you are a veteran
Would be very weird for a 16 year old to be a veteran
Veteran or not, I find you honorable π
Thanks bro
Well, even veterans gotta start as newbies or beginners, right? π
Yeah but not at 16π
This isn't WW2 anymore
True that
Fair enough
Oh, that reminds me
Is Nissan's partner is Mitsubishi or Renault?
Nvm, those 3 formed an alliance
Btw, another advantage of current gen Mitsubishi Montero Sport here is its aircon is Calsonic, like Nissan
Amateur question. When driving through a steep incline road(not off-road), would you set your drivetrain to 4Hi, 4Lo or just 2WD mode?
I have my license i donβt have my cdl or commercial drivers license
Neither do most Americans
Then again some Americans do have to deal with snow
The good news is Americans who live in the West Coast don't have to deal with snow
There are definitely places on the west coast that get snow
I didn't know that
Since they say that a Ford Mustang will just get stuck or slide in snow, what if you equip it with snow terrain tires, still the same?
Oh
Unfortunately that salt also greatly accelerates rust
Which is why some places in the US are better to buy used cars from them others
Don't cars have rust proofing features?
Delays it, doesn't prevent it
I live in one of the hottest states and we still do get snow up North
Oh...
6000'+ elevation
2wd unless it's slippery
4 low should really never be used on paved surfaces. Low gears are fine to use in 4 high, but 4 low usually includes a locked center
Locked differential + tight turns on paved surfaces = major damage
Ooooh
Assuming the tires even let you do sharp turns
Amc eagle
I don't think we have that here
What I like about Subaru is all their cars have AWD drivetrains except the BRZ
Even their basic/entry models have AWD drivetrains
So if I wanna drive in places with snow weather, I need a Subaru.
Oo
I was chasing a bmw 3 series for a hour at night and was thinking all the time "nice honda"

I wouldn't blame u tho the top one looks like a crappy kit car and the bottome doesn't have a badge

Noice
It was more of a joke. I just find it funny how small it is.
This car is wasted potential
They could've made it rear motor rwd like the original but naah
Ik they used the ice architecture but i don't think it was impossible
road rockets also exists
remember power to weight ratio and small size
Looks retro
Kind of looks like a group C race car
πππ
You can def see it's a far more simple body in terms of aero
but nonetheless sexi
I really love the non mad max version of this the falcon xb gt
Really underrated muscle car
Beauty
True people only care about mustangs from ford this was bigger, more comfortable and had some 300hp
only needs two miniguns on top of the hood and you are ready to go

actually that reminds me more of kitt
even though thats a falcon xb yet kitt is a trans am but i guess its the color scheme
Ford unfocus
I like the rear steel rims and damn, it got rammed
π€
Why'd you get rid of the miata

Miata is still a beautiful car
Can't wait for my skid plates to arrive. Then I can go play on some rocks
Traded
Car no worky
My brother traded for a working 02 Lancer OZ Rally
i watched this before
it was hilarious lmao
p[
Does this mean the lci will have slightly better grille
Aah well better than the one it replaces
Ye
I like the grill shape but the mesh is definitely too busy/draws the eye too much, which is saying a lot given the wrap
True Hopefully they've lost sales because of the grille and they're doing something about it
Introducing the RB17 π A new era of performance cars has arrived π€

this guy
Is this the same as the Xanavi one?
is that Oboma lol
Google photos is fucking stupid but the video quality isn't why this video exists
Simple question
If a car wheelspins when climbing a low curb, is throttle misapplication a possible cause of it?
It resembles the build quality of the car
What do u think
I dont find it inoffensive tbh
Sure it looks like a mix of many cars but as a whole its okay
I wish it was lower and wider like the concept but hey its not as bad as the i4
Yea
Eggselant Por Shuh

Concept was way seskier
We shall see if there is any truth to that
I highly doubt a hyper car will have bad build quality but hey, itβs American. We can all expect the interior quality of a 1996 Chevy Cavalier
It looks like a Corvette C8
That looks nothing like a Corvette
and holy shit I didn't realize how good that sounds
you rarely get such a bassy classic sound out of a v8 anymore this thing sounds like something for the 70's
You want it to be a luxury car or something? What are you referring to
the cars fine
The front kinda resembles that old dodge concept with that headlight pattern, and the back just looks like something Porsche would post on their Instagram as a "cool car they drew that we will never make part 12"
As much as I love the Hennessey I like the ssc more the ssc is insane
I like the chiron over them all
Probably the only 250 mph+ car that is actually comfortable
The design still looks more modern than the competition even after so many years
Ford GT
It's so blurry
I said it looks like it
This thing is just pure sex I actually think it was a smart move to just use the LSx block
but it looks nothing like a ford gt
it looks even less like one than it does to a corvette
the only corvette looking thing on that car is the side scoop angle I guess, but they are making like 24 of these so imagine someone pulling up with this at a car show
I hope to hear one of these in person soon
That is a prototype engine, not the final model
but it was a high quality picture
The chiron somehow feels more special to me there's the unique engine, the quality and luxury of elements, practical design...
The f5 has a yoke and is rwd
The bugatti is trying to be both a luxury car and a fast hyper car, they've always been like Bentley or Aston where they possess a little bit of both rather than ever something completely raw
and it shows in the weight difference
Chiron's like 4,400 pounds, the f5 is just over 3,000
True and i like that about it
Hyper gt
None of that hyper aggressive aero kits, but clean elegant forms
Bugatti is that one company that reliably rolls out timeless looking stuff
With a lot of heritage behind it
Yes really
Even the veyron doesn't look too outdated
Eb110 was a bit of a miss tho
If I had hypercar car money a Bugatti would be my third choice. I just respect Pagani and Koenigsegg too much for their accomplishments to not go with one of them first
Both of their founders are amazing people I'd love to meet both of them one day
It looks like something a butler would drive
Not a huge pagani fan

The designer is cool and all but its 2 cars milked dozens of special editions
Love the 'base' huayra and zonda
Other than maybe actual 1960's le mans cars, Paganis are the closest things to being certified as actual art in Italy
I've never seen a design as timeless in modern history as the zonda
As much as I love the veryon or an old ccx Koenigsegg, any person with a base understanding of cars could see they've become a bit dated
Give us a new car
That's beautiful but I'd probably go for a base one 2005-2008
Exactly
Also cleanest
Nah the Zonda Barchetta would be my first pick if money was not running out
A convertible with a roof scoop and all those all racecar elements
Pagani debuted in 99 but they have a spirit more classic than most supercar companies around it's amazing
There is no paint on this car, the best thing known to man is on it. Color Tinted carbon fiber
Completely semetrical and bookmatched
This looks way more gorgeous
They all look good, but I'd get a newer one. Only obstacles the price tag
Aah well i know its a barchetta but it really looks like the windscreen is cut off
Even in clear weather its going to be hard
All the bugs and stuff hitting you at 200 mph
That's definitely a helmet car if you're going that fast in any speedster convertible
Yea true
It's a pagani I'd probably wear a full suit with a helmet regardless lol
My second favorite zonda is a little less obstrusive, it has the ability of a soft top lol
But any convertible with a full roof scoop
Pure nut material
Pagani paired up with one of my favorite shoe brands it's like a driving/casual shoe with a big patch of carbon fiber in the middle and the lace holders resemble the headlight mount shape
I'm so glad I was able to get them in time
But i now i just look at them and think "another rich f*ck's multi million track toy he's never going to drive"
Out of these 90's founded Hyper car brands, Koenigsegg is the engieer, and Pagani is the artist.
Gotta have both
People wonder why I want to be one of those rich fucks, for no other reason than to buy cars ngl
Here's a non-shit version of the video that doesn't shit itself when the thunder starts
I'd be something like jay leno but not so classic cars
Because after that you can just buy anything
I'd have a collection of 80s 90s and 00s gems
I still can't get over the sound of that F5
I love the classic cars, 60's lemans cars are my favorite that era of race car developed and influenced the cars we know today so much
Ikr it sounds like an old 427 guzzle without the carburetor issues xD
Not so expensive now but im sure they'll catch up
Stuff ranging from a clean na miata to a 550 maranello
I can't imagine what it sounds like at 8500 RPM
Which is its redline
Somehow
I think the 70's and 80' was the worst era when it comes to car styling. When shit started turning square dry and plastic. Exceptions to the obvious ones like the supercars and anything wacky or expensive that didn't subbumb to thag horrible trend
I assume it makes at least 400 hp at 2000 rpm
Mid to late 70's
8500 RPM out of an american cross-plane V8... Fucking sorcery
I believe max torque (which is around 1200 lb-ft iirc) is at I think 5000
Post gas crisis was a dark period
Yea but after say 85 they started making some nice cars
It took us like 40 years to finally get acceptable power numbers after '73
Bro that's unsettling
Touch the throttle and you go faster than a mustang
πΏ
Touch the throttle with the TC off and you're just fucking dead lol
It's amazing how the TC system doesn't just detonate after a full-bore start
1800 horsepower...
I drove the f5 in a mobile game and even then i grew chest hairsπ
To the rear wheels...
wonder what the track performance is like
it's typically not very good with these hypercars
In a car that weighs as much as a feather, as far as American cars are concerned
Guys calm down the base driving setting for the car is ONLY 1500 horsepower so it's safe and easy π
They're eventually going to come out with a more corner-focused version
With a rear wing and more aero bits and stuff
Ik this is why I'd rather take a chiron im no Hamilton
To be honest though I think the version we're getting here soon is the better one
yeah, but aero isn't fixing an inefficient body
How's it inefficient
for track performance
The car has sufficient downforce for most settings, it's all under the car to let the top be slippery enough to hit the tops speeds without active aero and other drag and weight increasing components
an insanely big rear-engine with rwd that weighs a lot, the body itself is very smooth and typical for high speeds, but doesn't allow proper air travel for cornering
