Plane on wheels
Look at this quirky little thing
Can you tell us its quirks and features

ah hell yea
Diesel fuel price has become more expensive than petrol fuel price in Ph now...

If I buy a manual Supra, I should equip it with straight cut gears.
Equip it with a dual clutch automatic
If you want to be completely miserable 90% of the time
All the because racecar stuff is all fun and games until you have to daily the car
I'd still go 400z
Idunno
It is a tr7
i hate it.
it needs air ventilation inside to start perfectly
the other day I saw a FD RX-7 with a race kit
same with RX-8s
pretty much hard to maintain unless you know how or knows someone because it's a rotary

like a very long time ago they are like common cars to find
and that's like in a town I'm living around at
then slowly they disappear
I like cars
Garage near me has a purple one in the back, yellow one sometimes there
We never had mazdas here
one of my favorite ferraris
ThAtS tHe GrOtTi FuRiA fRoM gTa 5
Furia isn't based on 458 anyway
Its based on Pinninfarina Battista
This
also a nice car
Yea
any idea what this car is
Whoever said this to you needs glasses
2009 Toyota Camry Solara
damn you're good

I'm curious
What would be a good reason to choose Toyota Corolla over its bigger counterpart, the Toyota Camry besides unit costs?
Most car companies that have extremely popular long running sedan have two golden goose models. Where those two are so popular the rest are kind of outliers.
Volkswagen: Passat/Jetta Honda: Accord/Civic Hyundai: Sonata/Elantra
What all these different models within the brands have in common is that the first one I mentioned per company is the mid size sedan and the counterpart is the more compact sedan.
So the differences vary but usually with the bigger sedan it could come with more features, a v6 engine option, and of course more passenger and trunk space.
Does a new Toyota Camry still come up with v6 engine in other countries like Japan, EU and US?
Here, the Camry's v6 engine got discontinued
The bigger sedans usually have a v6 option
Oh
There's a V6 option is basically every car sold over here
but yea as engines becomes more efficient and everything is getting installed with a turbo, most smaller vehicles that don't need it will switch over to 4 cylinders
yea you don't see many 4 cylinder camry's here
Oh wow, so it means a v6 Camry still lives there
That's probably the standard
4cyl 4 lyf
I'm a V8 person tbh
No need for big engines if you can slap a turbo in it and save weight
But with fuel prices now, we gotta stick with 4cyl or maybe even 3cyl
Turbos only recently stopped being a nuisance, lag and other problems seem to be less apparent kind of like the great shift of how we stopped using manuals because paddles and dct's were so much faster
By Ph standards, a 2.0 NA I4 petrol engine is presumed to be a gas guzzler already
the only downside of a turbo nowadays is gas mileage
So for NA petrol engine, they want like 1.6L displacement or less when it comes to fuel efficiency, 1.8L would be the largest
It's not like V8s are all that good at that either
they kill gas mileage. So if you have an n/a 4 cylinder, a 4 cylinder with a turbo may be hard to get much over the v6 model
I mean yeah cylinder deactivation is a thing
But the cylinder deactivation systems from the big 3 all suck
Small efficient turbo's are deployed for fuel efficiency, after market stuff for performance is what eats fuel
My grand Cherokee had that it ran with 4 cylinders most of the time
The reason why turbocharged engines have great gas mileage in test runs by companies and ads is mostly they drive in a manner not to deliberately put the turbo into positive manifold or boost
And almost nobody drives like that in regular driving
Is cylinder deactivation at least manually toggleable?
Most city use doesn't require it
so it makes some sense
Or is it still more or less random
I wouldn't say it's false advertisement because they did achieve that great fuel mileage
Honestly, I don't know how to drive like that
nope, not that i know of. It technically is if you just put it in sport mode, but the deactivation individually isn't
I don't know how to drive in a way not to force the turbo into positive manifold
That's a common complaint I hear about it
They say that it's about how we apply the throttle, that's all I know
If you want to run all 8 cylinders just shove it in sport, you weren't trying to save gas might as well send it
I don't know why it isn't just manually toggleable, seems like no-brainer
Instead of just randomly getting 8 cylinders when you only want 4
Here in Ph, there's a saying that if you can afford to buy a car with 6 or 8 cylinder engine, then you can afford its fuel costs
Most people when they first get behind the wheel don't realize how utterly sensitive the throttle pedal is.
So owners of cars with 6 or 8 cylinders here won't care about fuel mileage
The first time I drove a car on my own I forgot to shift it into drive, and mashed the throttle to the floor
There's like a 2-second delay between when I press the throttle and the car moves in what I drive
never let a 12 year old who played forza too much drive a real car
That reminds me when I almost screwed up...
wut
My mom's Durango does it too, my dad's Cummins does it too but it isn't as bad
I almost fucked up when backing up a car like a month ago
It's not quite 2 seconds
Probably closer to 1
Depends on how much I press the throttle
The throttles not going to be instant like a super car it's a 6000 pound honk of mopar plastic, but a full 2 second delay sounds oddly long
yea
I wonder if it's just a Chrysler thing
I stepped on the throttle deeper than I normally did since the car has low acceleration if I step it the usual way which is med-light then the engine revved up really high
nah I've been in a few cars that have slight delay
So yeah, I guess I experienced the throttle pedal being utterly sensitive
2 seconds was a little hyperbolic
it's not a chrysler thing it's just a I didn't buy a $250,000 Mclaren thing
Good thing nothing get damaged and nobody got hurt
Btw, you guys prefer petrol over diesel, right?
Yes
Same
Diesel is more expensive here
Personally, I like petrol if we're gonna disregard costs
Diesel is only good for the type of compression needed in torque heavy applications
I like cars that are the opposite
no torque and light af
Because petrol is mostly faster than diesel providing they have same displacement size and both are turbocharged
Because in many cases, petrol has higher hp than diesel if both are turbocharged but diesel still has higher torque than petrol
It's not right yea, they are used for two different things
That's why in an old article I read, it states that diesel is like workhorse and petrol is like racehorse
Diesel is good for suvs cuz of high torque
Though that doesn't really happen here
For off-roading, still petrol?
That's not a bad analogy to start an introduction with to why one is suited better than the other for different activities
SUVs in America use petrol for the most part
And better efficiency
Doesn't matter as much
Power isn't nearly as important when you're going offroad
How about torque?
You don't really need diesel unless you need diesel. It's best to have regular petrol gas in a car unless diesel is necessary
Diesel cars sound awful ngl
If you're going really slowly, a-la rock crawling, mudding, it especially doesn't matter how much power you have
Obviously you don't want 90 horsepower
The only thing bad about diesel cars are the prices of diesel here and the fact diesel doesn't to well in a extreme temperatures
Most affordable large vehicles here are diesel though. By large, I mean vans, SUVs, pickups and so on. For the first time in history, diesel fuel prices is higher than petrol fuel prices here.
diesel here is a full 80cents-a dollar over regular, about 20 cents over the highest octane available
But something like a Pentastar V6 (~300 horsepower) will be perfectly sufficient for 99% of situations while offroading
So if I'm gonna buy an affordable SUV here, I have no choice but to stick with diesel
But diesel has better fuel economy
Same
Which is why it's great for big trucks that get 0 to the gallon
lol
In fact, the petrol van we bought last 2017 is the last model to have petrol. Petrol engines are discontinued for its facelift versions
Doesn't matter how you shape it, a big fuckoff semi truck isn't going to get very good fuel economy
Yea
A big semi truck and truck are not for leisure or road trips anyway, they are used for revenue or profit
Gas guzzler 💀
Granted their fuel economy has Improved significantly over the last 20 or 30 years
Well, newer designs anyway
That's why they're used for utility
They're used for transport of goods
How about Hybrid pickup trucks
It counts as utility, right?
They're the backbone of American industry in general
Or like use for revenue or profit?
They get better fuel economy then normal petrol ofc
I know a few people who just own semi trucks
one person put an f750 bed on his
Those mfs ain't cheap
Oh wow, those are expensive
new ones yea they can be ridiculous
One of my young cousins wants to buy a 10 wheeler cement truck
But they come with some pretty badass tech to be fair
I'm sure it is expensive as f
why would anybody want that
10 wheeler cement truck?
Other then to use it for cement work obviously
Hybrid trucks would be a much better option than diesel
I hope so
Depends
Diesel is better at towing then electric
Hybrid sounds good on a first level pickup truck like an f150 or something but on a ram 3500 is something big af you want nothing getting in the way of towing capacity
Not sure in Europe
Because they are inefficient and dangerous to the occupants
Dangerous?
I mean, not exactly
You're sitting on TOP of the drivetrain/frame
It'd take an act of god for the front end to crumple enough to crush the occupant
This is fine
That is a death wish
I don't trust stuff with no hood or front
These are used commonly in the US. Most box vans I see here are on that type of chassis
aren't*?
the only place you will ever see these types of little trucks are big cities
No
The bigger problem is many trucks like that which are old. I bet that many of these kinds of trucks in Ph are older than many of us here
Old trucks are fine if maintained properly
Yeah, mostly because you weigh at least 5 times the vehicle you are about to hit
Would it be same when it comes to emissions test?
Yes
Emissions tests on old cars in the US are way more lax
Idk how it's done in PH but there are different methods for testing emissions on older and newer vehicles. Sniffer vs OBD readiness, etc
They either just don't test them or rate them on how they're supposed to have ran when they were made
Oooh
What I know is here in Ph, Toyota is top choice for passing emissions tests
Mitsubishi and Isuzu are not so much
My dad's friend owns a 2017 of this Mitsubishi van
https://www.zigwheels.ph/car-news/2019-mitsubishi-l300-will-start-from-php-770000
Speaking of Mitsubishi... It's hard to find parts for these fucking things. Can't find a new steering gearbox anywhere in the US
Speaking of emissions, I sincerely would like to say fuck you to anyone driving a car that smells like absolute ass on the street by removing components for 6 extra horsepower, you are not a racer you're a cunt
And he's really maintaining it very much, including cleaning its exhaust or muffler and it's still unable to pass emissions test while my dad's 2004 model Toyota van never failed emission tests. Both are diesel btw
There's many reasons it may be failing emissions
I'm not really familiar with emissions but I don't really know Toyota's secret of being a popular choice of not worrying about emissions tests
What is that for
They make good cars it's no secret
Delivering goods like metals and so on. Btw, the rear chassis is not always like that when buying one of these, the rear chassis can vary depending on customer's preference
👌
Maybe he should've gotten a Hilux 😅
idk if that would be legal here but it makes sense for different environments
lower speed, smaller or denser areas could use something like that and benefit from it more
We had a van like that back then
https://www.topgear.com.ph/features/feature-articles/history-mitsubishi-l300-a36-20161205
But my parents sold it because its engine overheats when idling because of design flaw
Not to mention the engine is just below the front persons' seats
most vans like that have lots of overheating issues, especially the genius who decided having those types of layouts aircooled would be a good idea
I like loud motors but I'd never straight pipe anything
So when opening the engine bay, the front cabin will be full of smoke
I like having some fuel efficiency
Well, at least Toyota learned with their Hiace, their new Hiace van is no longer flat nosed van
The everyday scum bag in the old bmw or Infiniti g35 blower straight sulfur out of their exhausts are the main culprits
they need to tap a tree
At 40 miles per hour I presume?
preferable
idk how people think shit like that is cool
It smells like ass, not gas
gas is a good smell at times
I just need an O2 sensor in my exhaust
If I can make it sound better while keeping that then I'm all for it
Like if you aren't street driving and you just rip everything out like ChrisFixIt that makes sense to do
It isn't only the person behind the wheel sucking at life, it could also be just poor maintenance of the vehicle.
I just hate fart canons i'd rather the car be a quiet rumbler than sound like a complete joke
Straight piped cars smell good
Well not good good, but good in the same vein as burning rubber smells "good"
And about this, I would say that drivers who just suddenly stop to pickup or drop off passengers in the middle of the road are cunts too
It is dangerous if the traffic is fast after all
Yea people have absolutely no respect for others around them and will just be assholes without a care in the world
and we just have to share the road with them
Kill me now
Right now, maybe biking will be good in short distance travels
Unrelated note:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/drunk-man-identifies-truck-tiktok-23822032.amp?espv=1
That sure is a long pickup
They get bigger
Go-kart racing counts as motorsport, right?
Yes
Oh, I only drove a Go-kart once
It was a nice car they ruined
I like trains
Mmm my family is considering going to las vegas in this keep in mind we live in new jersey
No way thats a real car
yeah they have like 20 cylinders and anti-turbo manifold
Sick
the gt rocks the best white, the 458 has the worst
wtf is this?
lmao
Really dig the chevelle
@jagged sentinel @honest herald @abstract beacon who doesn’t love some twerking?
Thiccc
guess the car
One with headlights
bruh
Lada 1200
This is how cars will look in 2009 :O
I'm glad it was just design for design's sake tbh
It's not the greatest looking thing
I dont think it will look great
Will Honda parts work with Acura cars
Depends on the model/part
in most cases yes
obviously a part designed specifically for one car won't on another
but honda and acura models share almost no differences, say from some bumpers or lights because of eu/us legislation
And since Lexus is a luxury division of Toyota, they should carry the Toyota's reliability too, right?
Yessir
Almost identical internally
Just the finishings + technology that's different
If I can buy a Toyota LC, I would buy the Lexus version of it
Lexus looks more refined though but Toyota is more rugged even by looks
On the other hand, it's still sad that the Lancer Evo and the Pajero got discontinued
https://www.timesnownews.com/auto/car-news/article/mitsubishi-finally-bids-adieu-to-pajero-production-stopped/757954
Although in Ph, it's so expensive and underspeced so a top end Montero Sport/Pajero Sport will be a better choice because it gives more including higher engine output for less money than the Pajero
My dad had a 2006 Pajero
He always complained about its fuel efficiency and had to get it repaired on multiple occasions, till he did one last time and sold it
During that era, my parents always complained with Mitsubishi vehicles they got. First, the L300 and its engine always overheats on idle then they sold it to get another Mitsubishi van and it got repaired several times too like its doors won't open, the electrical system will fail upon start so everything will get turned off and my dad had to pound the engine for it to be able to start normally
That's why my parents hate Mitsubishi ever since
I've got a 2002 Montero (pretty much same thing just with a 3.5 petrol engine) and the MPG thing is no joke. I'm getting 15.2 in the city
Understandable
Mitsubishis are a pain ngl
Even finding parts for older models is tough in the US
I had to order a new power steering reservoir from Latvia 😩
2 of my aunts' experiences about Mitsubishi during that time didn't help either. After certain years, their Mitsubishi cars were breaking apart, just like my parents'
Mitsubishis aren’t known for being the most reliable, let’s say
It's a shame because I still dream of owning a Lancer Evolution
Let's hope those are reliable
lmao no
Wait, they're not?
Not really
For reliability, I would go with Toyota, Mazda, Honda and Subaru
It was said that Mazda's reliability is underrated
And maybe Ford Mustangs are reliable too since many people who want performance cars buy those
Subaru
People here flex having Subaru despite not being luxury brand so I thought they're reliable
Yeah that’s awful
At least that’s your project car not your daily
True
Ah, my homeland
Here such parts are more widely available

Because of the Honda heritage, Acura is just a solid choice as any Honda. Definitely look into “before you buy” videos so that you’ll make an informed decision. Good luck!
Ah yes, the Cadillac Cien GT-R R35.
RaLlY cArS dOn'T gO On 2 wHeElS
Noice
Idk anyone who said such a thing
Wow, I just discovered something... One rule of buying a brand new Ferrari is you can't buy or own a Lambo so keep that in mind so you don't get banned the next time you guys buy a brand new Ferrari. 😳
bro what
It's in their rules. You don't choose Ferrari, Ferrari chooses you.
https://www.autoevolution.com/news/the-strict-rules-of-ferrari-ownership-you-dont-choose-ferrari-chooses-you-141173.html
But the ban shouldn't stop you from buying a pre-owned or used Ferrari.
god Ferrari has so many rules it's ridiculous
You can’t buy a LaFerrari unless you own 5 other Ferraris
Oh and one more thing. You CANNOT criticize them in any way, even if you are right. If Ferrari sees you criticize them in social media, then you're banned from buying a brand new car from them.
are there like... children in charge?
I think Buggati have a car that requires you own all the other Buggatis in order to be eligible to owning it
And if you're too flashy with your Ferrari car in social media in a way that Ferrari doesn't like, then you're banned too
Honestly, Bugatti is high end enough for me to find that reasonable
buying a bugatti means you have more money than some smaller countries
I feel like Enzo Ferrari may be long dead already but his arrogance and bitterness still lives on. Remember when Ferruccio Lamborghini was pointing out the problem with a Ferrari car's clutch only to end up being insulted by Enzo?
Ferruccio Lamborghini did start his own car brand as a way of telling Enzo "Fck you" so there...
That would probably explain why Ferrari buyers cannot own even just one Lamborghini car

True. But you only need to own a Chiron to buy their 5.8 million dollar "Divo"
So it’s about 10 mil
Yea
I wanted to say "do they realize that just tanks their sales?" but then I realized it's Ferrari and they have plenty of money already
And according to this article, car collectors who have at least one Lambo are banned from buying Ferrari, no matter how many Ferrari they bought before buying one Lambo
Well, if Ferrari sees our convo now, then we'll be banned from buying their cars
guess I'll just have to spend my money at Lamborghini now
Okay, let’s go buy some Lambos to piss them off
If Ferrari car owners are expected to join their meetings
What if one of them brings a Ford GT40 instead of Lambo?
Ford GT40 has some bad history with Ferrari anyway
Yea jay leno has practically every other brand except ferrari for this reason
Btw, Justin Bieber is banned from buying another brand new Ferrari
If his customization is legal according to law, then why not?
Yea
I dont think the modern ferraris are really all that special over other supercars
On the other hand, Lambo has strict rules too
https://www.hotcars.com/guidelines-lamborghini-owners-must-follow-and-some-the-employees-must-abide-by/
I like the 458 but other that i dont really like post 2010 ferraris
Idk if violating these rules will also result in a ban or not though
But the "Owners: Don’t Make It Your Daily Driver" rule seems more like a precaution since Lambo is not designed for comfort
I dont think lamborghini is that elitist
So if you're gonna drive a Lambo in a long drive, it will be uncomfortable for you
Urus is ok ig
Probably since it's an SUV
But supercars are designed for high performance, not comfort after all
Haha yea
And I think this rule is given, it goes without saying that sensitive data must be protected.
I mean, handing out secret sensitive data to other people is illegal after all
If they’re willing to commit to that, they must give their employees working devices
Separately from their personal ones
And I agree with this
Lift kit finally shipped out today
Backorders do be a PITA
Which do you guys prefer for off-roading, AWD or 4WD?
4wd
4WD you have 2 high, 4 high, 4 high locked center diff, 4 low locked center diff
And then locking front/rear (if equipped)
AWD is just AWD with no gear reduction available (4 Low)
Yeah, the driver has no control about making the car drive in 2WD or 4WD. I'm not sure if 4WD would still be better than AWD for everyday driving though
This is bullshit
4wd isn't preferable for sedans it just isn't needed awd is the best for regular use
Like can't car buyers just buy the cars they can afford to enjoy them regardless of brands?
Apparently not
4wd targets traction loss in a different way than needed on a smooth paved road
How it should be, some people can be pompous dicks though
Oh well
@real zephyr
lucky
I need to go to one of these one day
I wanted to go to the one in Texas but covid is a bitch
yes my friend got 2 vip tickets !!
💀
but i cant goo 😭
I forgot where to even watch it do i have to pay for a channel on cable
i’m not sure tbh, but i can drive by it and record it
Hearing those cars in person is a dream enough
My friend got to go to the Texas one he has a video somewhere that I have to find
aw that’s cute! let’s go!
pre race shenanigans
The roar of 13,000 rpm
that’s niceee

There is one in Las Vegas in 2023 apparently
maybe i'll have the means to go to that one

o that’s soon
I need to get out of the house more so 2000 miles away sounds like a fair way to achieve that

if i lived in nyc i would be outside all the time
There's a lot of things to do but everything's just so expensive
F1 engine intensifies
just the roar
MMMMMMMMM
That f1 was older too
true
they sounded the best in the early mid 2000's
but i still like the roar

tru tbh i would just go on walks
and look at the crackheads
actually maybe not look..
That's exactly what my friend does, i'm like why are you downtown at night doing nothing.
then he's like
"it's just a vibe bro"
I can see his point but I usually like to go somewhere if i'm going to the main areas
it is thoo
the churches are beautiful too
i think st thomas was my favorite one to go in
Oh yea the historical buildings are really cool
it's funny to see them squished together next to 90 story skyscrapers
That'd be a very expensive shift knob I bet
just dont let people see you cleaning the manual stick (or sum like that. i forget)
Some ppl in the past didn't like when I posted pictures of rally cars on 2 wheels
In-game rally cars
Lol
I wonder how awful changing the clutch is on the F40 compared to an F50
For reference this is what changing/servicing the clutch on an F50 looks like
They really have to remove the back just to change the clutch?
Apparently
Sounds like some shit Ferrari would do
That looks really complicated
Looks a bit like how you build airplanes, just that the cars don’t have a million wires
I would say and it doesn't cost as much
But that's a Ferrari F50, so
I'm sure a Ferrari F50 is far more expensive than a Cessna 172
Just a bit
Oh, right, new Cessna 172 is expensive
But how would the rear wheels work if it gets reattached to the rest of the chassis?
Rear wheels of what
It really is quite neat how they designed the F50
Ooooh
Short answer: they wouldn't
European cars are said to be complicated after all
That F50 is a whole nother level of "complicated"
They're owned by Audi remember
It was said that for European cars, many components need to be removed just to do a simple oil change
On my old Audi you had to remove the entire front end to get to the accessory drive systems
Exhibit A
Wow, you have an Audi? You are rich
Audis aren't rich person cars
^
And that sounds really complicated
Isn't Audi a luxury brand?
Not really
I thought Audi is on the same level with Jaguar and possibly Porsche?
Jaguar yes, Porsche no
Audi is smaller then stuff like Mercedes and Porsche and BMW
They make nice cars
They don't make rich person cars per sé, just "nice" cars
So Audi is not on the same level with Porsche in terms of luxury or high end brand?
No
Audi and Jag both cater to same market, Porsche is targeting a totally different type of buyer
I mean Jag as of late has had some pretty awful quality control issues
They always have
Same with Land Rover
I was thinking that MB and BMW are the entry level for luxury brands and Jaguar and Audi are on higher level than those 2
That's why you see more old Jags with SBCs swapped in than you do with the original drivetrain
Benz is near the top
How about BMW?
Below benz
Oh, like what?
Mid-2000s Chrysler build quality
And I think Jaguar went downhill. It's still a nice car brand but they did better during the old times than how they're doing currently
If I were to buy a new luxury car today it would definitely be a Mercedes
The new defender is having a really bad quality control issue
I'd pick a Cadillac
I don't think I need to explain why
All those bald eagles
I would pick BMW or MB for luxury car
But if I'm to buy a supercar or hypercar, I will buy a Glickenhaus
Why not the established range
Established range?
Lamborghini, Ferrari, Pagani, the big dogs in the supercar scene
Koenigsegg, Bugatti, etc
I still don't understand the difference between a hyper and super car
I have made a series of rudimentary boxes a car must check to be a hypercar in my mind
If I understand it correctly, hypercar is faster. There was an advertisement I read before which says "hypercars can be supercars but supercars can't be hypercars"
Especially nowadays where every "exotic" car can surpass 200+ mph with ease
they're arbitrary terms
mostly PR/media grabs
what a supercar/hypercar is today will change in 10/15 years
a sports sedan is all-around faster than any supercar from the 80s or 90s
I mean even contemporary sedans were able to keep up with supercars, look at the evo's and lamborghini gallardo/murcielago
For me a supercar must check multiple of these boxes:
More then 850 horsepower
Hybrid drive capabilities/battery assistance of some sort
Top speed of over 235 miles per hour
Limited or low-volume production
900,000$+ price
Doesn't have to check all of them, just has to check two or three
Fair enough
And I wonder how handcrafted cars are more special than cars built by robotic assemblies...
Because they're handmade
I think the Koenigsegg Agera is handcrafted
That's literally it
special doesn't always mean better
There was a documentary about Koenigsegg, his factory is small and no robots but idk if it changed or not
They're still in that airfield
Did they put up robotic assemblies or still no?
Which is the perfect place for a company of their nature
Still handmade
Ooooh
They've only built like 1,400 cars in their entire lifespan
And about MB, I think the high level of MB would be the AMG or at least that's their performance division
An MB AMG would be more expensive than an "ordinary" MB
AMG engines are handmade iirc
This AMG is so beautiful

Eeh
It makes a noise
Wow, that's nice from outside
I get goosebumps every time I listen to it
But it doesn't beat the BMW M3 GTR's sound
No, it sounds better
I get that this is a motor race and all, but there's no way this guy doesn't enjoy the sound at least a little bit

Ride along with Tommy Milner in the new Corvette C7.R during night practice at the 24 Hours of Daytona.
That's the video I watched moments after you showed the Corvette video

How about this?

Onboard Chevrolet Corvette C8.R #63 Night Laps in 24 Heures du Mans 2021
Yeah, someone said that the engine sound is deceiving
Like you wouldn't expect a Corvette to sound like that
The C7R sounds so much better
Sounds way more American
The production C8 sounds good
This car has the best engine sound in last year's Le Mans
Or rather it has aggressive tone
Sounds generic
But anyway, the first time I watched this, I was like "Is this even a Corvette?"
Guys, what do you think about Alonso in F1?
flinstons car
H o u
Guys can anyone tell me difference of single clutch plate dry and a Dubble clutch plates wett?
Wha-
Do military vehicles count here
Its transportation yes?
It looks like the hybrid system they use on the 4cyl. X4 adds 11hp
Fun fact: The Toyota Previa came supercharged.
Damm
There's so many
Organized car event at the convention center at the boardwalk in my state
Then of course the hondas
Those are jokes right?
Hey man NJ has alot of hondas
And acuras
Some are decent tho
But then of course theres this @long wyvern

And then this
And even this

I think I'm glad there ain't no Hondas in rally
Wait
Laughs in Rally Honda

Still trying to not trigger mute bot

Can't wait for Detroit auto show
It's gonna have a focus on EVs
Which is unfortunate, but I'm still going
Let's compare the sound of a Porsche and a Honda
@long wyvern @gray linden there is another event thats held in my state but its more illegal and people can get there cars impounded
Meanwhile, in Le Mans, France
Tiny flat 6’s are a hard engine to make sound good but some 911’s sound amazing
The 911 GT3R's transmission whine is amazing
You wanna hear it launch?
@real zephyr camera is shit but I managed to take one sorta non blurry photo
White urus
The screen
wait is that a urus?
So I don't know if this is the right place to ask, anyway I just got myself a fine E91 and really want to buy some new rims/wheels for it but I don't really know what could go good with it. Any suggestions?
I mean honda's are mostly used for privateers
their factory team is weak/non-existent
Big wang
yea
There is also an anomaly I found, every Tuesday around 4-5pm there is a light blue Mclaren 600lt parked by the athletic/gym building
This is like the fifth time I saw it on campus
it’s nice
i love urus’
It was the one with those massive pizza pie brakes
they are like 17 or 18 inches in diameter
ooo definitely my mommy car
the fun and games stop when he brings out the rick n morty mobile
rich student
Idk I think it might be a coach or professor
That’s not something you see often here
Hello people
Hrllo
@kind osprey
hot
😩
Hot
That exact generation of m4 in that light sky blue omg
I want one so bad
oo the bluee
Found this for saale near me for 16k
looks awful
hood doesn't close, the front bumper has gaps and doesn't fit
if it's a 993 gt2 case where the plastic factory fenders bend and pull a little, sure
if you're actually buying it, I'd check the car's papers and see/drive in person
preferably with a friend
If a car like that I selling for 16k there's probably something quite wrong
Or a lot of things that are moderately wrong
@kind osprey
This looks like a color scheme I’d put on a car back in 2016 lol
👌
I used to always want carbon hoods
Black hood looks out of place tbh
Black roof makes it fit a little more
Still doesn't look quite right but
It satisfies my OCD a little more at least

If u zoom in,u can see that the trunk is also black

@vestal garnet wait a sec u switched brands
Yea lol
Is there a good car news app for android? The quality of CarBuzz is deteriorating by the day
Drive Tribe was the best but that got shut down :(
Yea
I like Toyota Supra, has a lotta power
It's been really taken care of!
Yea most of these are either kits, replicas or real ones that were ditched in the 70’s rotted into the mid 90’s and was found by an avid corvette or mustang owner and thought “why not get another project to make the wife go crazy”
xD
but what if the wife wants project cars toooo

Yes china, that's kind of how internal combustion works
ok so what if
we use an engine like that, the flurry of explosions that breathes, but on a carriage
with rubber wheels
Don’t forget the gearbox
Parts finally starting to show up
Damn
Nice graphics
thats an ok scale.
Van + truck = truan
He's wearing a seatbelt, so it must be road legal
I forgot to ask this until now. Why did Hans-Joachim Stuck call the carousel in the Nurburgring "the worst part of the track for the car" in this video? Is it really harder than we imagine?
This is a classic video and it can be found everywhere on the net. It's an absolute must-see, if you love the Nordschleife or want to learn the track. Watch Hans-Joachim Stuck carve through traffic in his BMW M3 GTR on his way to a record-setting lap, and hear his insightful turn-by-turn commentary.
This video is a mashup of two other video...
Speaking of F1
Oh wait, I posted this in the wrong channel
I watched Bathurst 12 hours, a race car driver's name is Sergio Pires
And the commentators pronounce his name as "Perez"
Which confused some viewers

Magic
Shits prettty hot ngl
Really well maintained nice
Thanks!
Nice twuck yo
Thanks, the only mods I've done to it is small American flag on the antenna and the toolbox.
You plannin on doing some tint ?
nope, I plan to keep it completely stock
??
why?
Dont like everyone being able to look at me picking my nose
I've always had 5% all the way around on my vehicles
That for sure wouldn't pass inspection in my state
Most places don't check the tint
Although it would fail if they did
Over here
25% is the legal amount in the front but the back you can do as low as you want
that and I don't want to run the risk of getting pulled over by some bored cop bc of the tint.
True
"only break one law at a time"
Cops here don't care for tint'
omg a bmw

How do people take high quality pictures of supersonic jets that are currently flying in the sky?
The camera car

Um my real guess would be a camera attached to another plane with a gyro or some stabilization
Quite possibly the most disrespectful race ever
usually from other aircraft, often refueling tankers
How do they take the high quality shot (it doesn't look liek it was taken from the window) without the camera being yeeted off
the refuelling booms have cameras on them so the refueler can guide the boom to the receiving plane
A'ight then
very disrespectful
Ae86
Get another jet and fly next to 😂
idk
Threw them out for weight reduction

Uh, another plane?
Ae86 engine is so angry
it sounds nice
su-57, scary?

despite driving fast around blind corners
with incoming traffic
like you can just heel tap the clutch if you want to be very fast
he probably chilling
erm what
Thats an F-16
but if you're asking if the su-57 is scary?
short answer? no, it's fucking garbage
long answer? its unproven, highly inflated speculated claims, hell, based off the recent victory day parade flyover calloff, it's not even an all weather fighter
my guy is wearing socks. i respect it.
At least he heel toes.
Took me ages to get that shit right for Sepang.
creative mode
Hmm it isn't that bad
Many people think Su-57 is scary because of games like Battlefield. It's not as scary as it was portrayed to be by EA and propaganda, it's the stealth fighter with worst stealth capabilities

Cool
i was gonna say idiot for doing that on a public open road but hes actually staying in his lane pretty well
Still idiotic
I'd be scared to shit if I saw some random car go 60 in a tight corner
A blinde corner at that
I mean the only battlefield game it's been is was 2042 and we all know the sort of reception that game got
What is su-57
A name i think
V8 sex
Russian 5th gen stealth fighter
And there's Ace Combat 7
But yeah, BF 2042 is the only BF game with Su-57
Touché
Finally about to get the car that every 12 year old dreams about.
Which one?
Big ugly fat f[riend]
I forgot what this plane is but the cockpit doesn't look like B52
I can confirm that is a B-52
It's first flight was in 1952
Probably older model
Meaning this year will be it's 70th year in the air
Goddamn
If it's still working, why not?
Yessir
and they're getting a service life extension that's gonna take them to 2070 and beyond
I would fly B52 over Tu-95 because B52 is better, at least B52 doesn't cause its crews to have hearing problems
lol
MKIV Supra @vestal garnet
Here's my pile of shit Diesel starting last winter.
Big friend
Its appearance is cool to me
Its wings being close to the cockpit and fuselage being skinny makes its appearance different
And the wing tips needing landing gears
It's also fucking massive
I don't even know what to say
Where do I start
How does that even happen
now, we see two beautiful adult automobiles, in their natural habitat that as remain the same for decades. breeding the next generation of their species
I can't even imagine what the spawn of a Nissan sedan and a Chevy SUV would look like
No yeah no seriously how tf did that happen
That's what happens when you spawn a vehicle in gta and it lands on you
I'm sure someone did that
Yeah, they'll keep flying the B-52 as long as it's still cheaper to fly than say, the B-1.
It serves just fine for the low-intensity asymmetric conflicts that the US keeps finding itself in and is cheaper to operate than the more modern options, small wonder they're keeping it around.
Hope the next plane they use after the b 52 will still look as good
This perhaps
ew a blue car
Leave
no
i got a trauma with a blue car
I could be nearly skinned alive in one of these and i'd still buy one
i used a blue taxi
but the driver was drunk and he's speeding
we crashed, but im fine
the driver not
taxi's are yellow here never heard of a blue taxi
in my country, there's a blue taxi
no yellow taxi
And I could see not wanting to get in the model of the car you were in at the time of the incident but the color of a car is bit of a stretch
i mean lots of blue taxis
Like if you got in a bad accident in a rav 4 I could see someone not wanting to be in a rav 4 because it would remind them
the taxi car that crashed is a Toyota Avanza
but color is too broad of a thing
The red seats in a car with blue paint and blue brake calipers is an insult
Everything got to be blue if everything is blue
Da ba dee ba do dye
the blue taxi is bigger
but the car is so common in my country
no
my country doesn't have crown victoria
asian country
looks like a 1970's limo
Shoot it with paintballs
Shoot it with a water cannon.

👌
