Well, you can have a very front-seated car or have a wide body for vertical placement

but again, designing that is a pain in the ass

I mean I6s are still used, but a preference is given to V8s, V6s or I4s

It's easier to design a car compatible with different engines (I4s, V6s) of similar size and ratio. Plus, safety laws require crumple zones, which is doable with rather compact V-shaped engines or small I4s. It becomes difficult with big V8/10/12s and especially I6s

The industry can definitely make it work, and I6s have some benefits. But the focus is currently on I4 and I3s and spending the amount of money to make I6s widely applicable, with the prospect of going fully electric within two decades is also a bad business move

I don't own a manual car, could someone explain to me if there are any important differences between manual sequential and manual (H pattern)? H pattern seems to be a little more confusing for shifting quickly but sequential seems more straightforward for accelerating quickly.
