Unless Red Bull is much better on low fuel load
Bottas is amazing
2.4 for Lewis
It's kinda inevitable

Damn, Verstappen getting held up a treat
that's a lot of time away
This HAS to go to Hamilton's
Holy fuck this is tense
Super tense
oh, a sš ±ļøinnala
spoil it away if it gets past
jesus this is so close
Yo what
Verstappen got last minute DRS from Mick
That was massive
Absolutely massive
Double RB podium again
POG
McLaren only team to get 1-2
MICK SAVED MAX'S ASS
This is so small margins

Very intense race
Amazing race
And battles on midfield to keep us entertained
Seeing the crowds
and the people Sky were interviewing
it feels so weird when all the Sky journalists and the team members with masks
but any member of public was maskless

It never fails to amaze me how big of a human Shaquille O'neal is
Shaq came today?
Ahhhh no way..I missed it
Mans rolled up in pure American class
dm me if you know about old bmwās. i need someone to tell me the name of one
Just post it here
The BMW in your profile pic? @daring acorn
yeah @mint plank
E30
ty
Today's race was hella boring
Dad?
It was nerve-wrecking watching it live
Quick trivia, what car had pop ups for the longest?
Corvette maybe?

whoever ghost pinged me, I hope your whole family has a nice christmas
Quick trivia, what Porsche is that?
looks like the 911 desert flyer
BMX
Shaq has become a race car driver?
Finally, after the price increase in Toyota, my mom agreed to buy a Ford instead
Why you you convince someone to buy a Ford over a Toyota?
Should have got the Toyota
Should have got the car that could last multiple years with very little maintenance
Oh my... After my dad talked to my mom about it, they don't trust me when it comes to buying a car. I wonder what did I do wrong...
Nothing; I'd say that's perfectly normal
i drive a little tikes cozy coupe

"Buy a Ford instead of Toyota"
Yeah, I'd question your opinion too.
But Toyota cheap and bad!!!!!!!
Cheap, yea I agree their lower trims arenāt the definition of creature comfort. But bad isnāt how Iād describe it.
They are mainly there to be good, reliable, a to b transportation and the higher trim suvs can see more luxury than a surprising amount of other brands
Ye
Speaking as someone who owns an 08 FJ cruiser
In the last 13 years we only took it for maintenance once
Ford's trucks are decent
Those are the only Ford products I'd even think about getting
I'd still get a Chevy or Chrysler Product over it
But that's not to say F150s are bad, they're the second most sold car in the world (iirc) for a reason
But other ford products⦠not so much
Yeah...
The only car from ford that I could even think about getting is the fiesta ST
Not for reliability, but for a fun compact hatchback
thereās still better options anyway
That 3cyl engine is still powerful, I guess
And if only there's an FJ Cruiser with more fuel efficient engine, either diesel or i4 turbocharged petrol engine with a displacement of like 2.0 or more.
I would love to have it if it's not a gas guzzler
the new FJ cruiser is so underrated
The new Corvette is good. Is it better than the Nissan GT-R and Honda NSX?
Which trim
For Nissan GT-R, the Nismo one I guess and I think we only have one trim for Honda NSX
Would the Toyota Supra GR have a chance against Nissan GT-R?
The C8 was 6 seconds or so faster then the Acura NSX round That One German Trackā¢
C8 stingray did a 7:29 and the NSX did a 7:36
I think what made the Toyota Supra GR expensive is its BMW engine and chassis and BMW is expensive.
Not the fastest Corvette around that track but
It's expensive because it's a nice car
Oh wow
It's a nice car but the BMW engine and chassis raised the price even more
Mhm
If it's purely made by Toyota, it would be cheaper
The C8 isn't even the fastest Corvette out there
The C7 Corvette ZR1 lapped the ring in 7:04
Unofficial time mind you
Oh wow
And I'm still sad that the Viper got discontinued
I like it more than Corvette
This is gonna be expensive as hell
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a38044152/2023-chevrolet-corvette-z06-revealed/
Will this defeat a Lambo Veneno and Bugatti Chiron?
It will be even more expensive here in Ph
A 2021 Chevrolet Corvette here costs $168,385.59
Damn
Is this C7 ZR1?
https://www.zigwheels.ph/new-cars/chevrolet/corvette#:~:text=Chevrolet Corvette 2021 is a,W x 1240 mm H.
I'm not sure how the C8 Z06 will do against those cars you mentioned tbh
mostly because I can't find a laptime for them
This is a C7 ZR1
Oh
Then what Corvette is this?
The C7
C7 ZR1 is like a better version of C7?
ZR1 is a trim package, yes
Oh
"C7" is just the generation
See? That isn't even ZR1 yet its price here is 168,385.59USD
It's the same as saying "seventh generation Corvette"
They only made the C7 ZR1 for like 2 years
Oh
750 horsepower, supercharged 6.2L LT5 V8
https://www.zigwheels.ph/new-cars/mercedes-benz/amg-gt
This is cool too, it costs 175,635.61USD here.
A Civic Type R with RWD or AWD drivetrain would be perfect
I'd prefer a charger R/T
I still want to have at least 1 supercar even though my parents told me that once I reach my dream job with high salary, I should be fine with BMW, MB, Mini and so on and they said I don't need the supercars like a Lambo or Ferrari supercar
A naturally aspirated V6 or V8 is still more reliable than I4 turbocharged for businesses which involve hauling full loads or cargo after all
That's debatable
You do know a fair amount of diesel engines are turbocharged right
Yeah
Although it was said that a smaller engine would have more stress
Since engines are really getting smaller now
And for fuel efficiency, most people fail to get the advertised fuel efficiency because almost nobody drives in a way that the boost manifold won't go into positive
They always advertise the best possible outcome
And gas mileage is much harder to manage in automatics
In test drives for fuel mileage, the manufacturers deliberately set the throttle in a manner not to make the turbo's boost manifold go positive
Which is why they could get that great fuel mileage
Yes, they kept it in low RPMs so the turbo didn't spin up
Which is much harder to do in an automatic
And I think nobody really drives like that in their normal everyday lives
Or maybe handful or niche numbers of drivers do that
One mid-size SUV here even has 1.9 turbodiesel engine
That's microscopic by American standards
And Ford Ranger Raptor's engine is 2.0 biturbocharged engine. Engines are really getting smaller
With Ford Ranger, there are 2 boosts, during low rpm and high rpm because it has 1 small turbo and 1 big turbo
That's their way of minimizing turbolag but there is still turbo lag
wow they stopped shoving v8s into boats
Imagine a Dodge Ram, Toyota Tundra and Ford E550 van with engines like 1.8L or 2.0L or even 1.6L I4 twin-turbocharged engines
Wouldn't even move
Even with high hp and torque?
They would, I was being hyperbolic
^ every american car from the 70s-80s
60s-70s more like
I mean, even with high hp and torque, would still be bad, right?
Everything in the 80s got smaller
High engine load

Bad news
wat
The dacia sandero has been delayed
NOOOOOOOOOO
those nostrils are familiar
I'll just wait for an answer :)
a mclaren?
Nope
Close, but not a Lamborghini

Itās not growing on me
My Verdict: Just get a Grand Cherokee lol
Or a wagoneer
I saw a clip of the Merc EQS interior and good god imagine spending so much on a tablet interior with a refresh rate of 10hz lmao
New Merc interiors are just ugly
10Hz? What?
The interface on those things lag a lot
I think my dad's 2013 ram has a better refresh rate then that bruh
Exactly
New mercs also have squeaky cheap plastic
It aint looking that good for euro cars
So... Like my dad's 2013 ram 1500?
Which has an excuse to have a squeaky interior
Mercades does not
This
No offense to you or anything
But I really do hope this is misinformation
Benz's shouldn't have squeaky interiors
Base model C class called
āSaw a clipā isnāt enough
Thatās a $100,000 car it could just be slander or a bad camera doing the refresh shit
Also check the videos date, these cars are brand new and every first year model has slight issues
Digital cameras taking videos of other digital screens always turns out weird anyway
I don't really trust Range Rover, I would pick a Toyota LC instead
I'd say a fair amount of people would
Especially given Land Rover's recent quality control issues
The LC has long history of being off-roaders' favorite off-road vehicle
Depends on the sort of off-road
For off-roading, I would say Wrangler and even a Suzuki Jimny can be good.
I read from top gear that off-roading instructors tell them stories about Suzuki Jimnys outperforming larger off-road vehicles
I'd probably pick a TRX or Raptor
In off-roading, lighter is better, right?
Makes less of a difference then most people think
I mean a tank probably isn't going to be as agile as a pick-up truck but
as long as it ain't a Land rover you're good to go bruv

seriously even a wrangler is good for that job
gotta get the version with the big suspensions and huge wheels
Bouldering especially
We shall see if that is any good
Somehow, the H1 isn't the biggest off-road truck on the road anymore
oh?
TRX is 2 inches wider then an H1 and 50 inches longer
That doesn't seem quite right
But everywhere on the internet says so
nothing screams america fuck yeah than a TRX speeding towards you ready to make you a poster against the wall then brand you with that huge RAM grille
im not familiar with american cars but yeah it surely does
i mean just take an H1 in London and run over all those mini coopers
hell you cant even fit through some passageways with that thing
The engine cover has an engraving of a T-Rex eating a Raptor
A similar image is in the interior somewhere I can't exactly remember
my favorite thing about the H1 besides being huge is that it separates the interior in half
i know it's mostly by design since the original humvee had a removable cover where you could work on the engine from inside the vehicle
Another cool thing about the TRX
In addition to English, there is another language used on the Medkit
"Why is this significant" you might ask
Because the other language it uses
what, spanish?
nothing is gonna top the toyota hilux in the middle east š
It was like that because you were basically sharing the entire cabin with the trans
Good for ground clearance but horrible for everything else
It made the h1 have a fairly high center of gravity so they can be prone to flip
It is a very wacky interior though Iām glad it exists
Thanks Arnold
I never realized how expensive it is to ship a car jesus
Guys I just flushed the meanest most biggest most corn full most liquid shit I have ever taken the sheer girth my asshole is on fire and blood is dripping into the toilet there so much I fear the toilet will over flow with shit
Omg did u at least take a dip in it
Predictions for what car brand is going to most likely die this decade
I'd say Alfa Romeo
Or Jaguar
Alfaās fine, Jaguar has Range Rover to hold hands with.
Before they got their shit together I would say Infiniti
But they are doing decent now
Nissan
Iād smash
Is it true that Renault ruined Nissan
I mean Renault kinda saved some stuff
I.E. Dacia which my dad has a Logan MCV and it still runs after 14 years, reliable af
no, the renault deal was actually quite fruitful for nissan
ghosn himself pursued massive market expansion
but the quality of the cars dropped, the contact with dealerships was minimal and there was very little innovation over the past 10 years
it's very nissan to offer the same exact consumer car for ten years
while vw or toyota update their models biyearly and offer entire new generations every 4 years
there's a big market for upper middle class people as it's generally the most cost-efficient to buy a new car every four years, while selling/trading in your current car
it's not attractive to buy a new nissan, which has the same technology as the car you sold before you bought the car you're currently selling
after the ghosn scandal, nissan is pushing a new direction where their cars are greener, of better quality and offer better technology
mitsubishi shared the same downfall, but hit rock-bottom
@winter reef wait, are you romanian?
Yeah lol

Does anyone remember this concept
I haven't seen this thing in a decade and it was one of the only Hummer objects that I actually liked
besides the almighty h1 of course
That looks miles better than the hummer EV or whatever itās called
Two seater
lmao you sure
the front reminds me of the Jeep Cherokee and that ain't a good reminder
What Cherokee lol
when i see vertical slits on a grille i instantly think of jeep
especially how they done that concept
they should just stick with the H1
Uhm
They stopped making the H1 like a decade ago
IDK if you know this
They stopped making the H2 years ago as well
i know lmao
but just as a general advice
well, blame the recession and the oil wars lmao
This is a 21 Cherokee
Doesn't really look a whole lot like the HX concept
i dont automatically mean the newest version
Would you care to specify which Cherokee then
Jeep
is jeep really as bad as land rover
Doesn't look a whole lot different to the 21
ok i got no point jeez you got me
Blame GM being shithousery in managing financial risks
Even now theyre bad at it
Buick is still horseshit, chevy car at the low to mid end is just weird mishmash of 2010 refreshes and bad 2018 facelifts
Buick has always been a boring company
what's their gimmick though
every company kinda has their gimmicks in a way or another
lmao
Which is just deeply weird
And their lineup is just reskinned cruz and suburban redesign with plushier inside
i mean i guess that's the reason GM was never popular in europe and asia (good thing cause most of their stuff sucks anyways)
You can do that or just ya know, buy a lexus
It's because they didn't really do very much over there for the most part
unironically the pontiac aztek was a good car, one of the last cars with personality
But it looked ridiculous
would you really take a boring buick suv over it though?
at least these days if people saw you riding in one of these they'd think of walter white from breaking bad
thats literally the only appeal imo
The thing was just, odd.
Its like asking a dune buggy builder whats their dream SUV
In that case they nailed it but in everything else
Its just weird mashups. Again.
i just want a SAAB comeback
i mean they were right
and yes you could say Volvo is SAAB nowadays but I just wish they'd make a budget division or something, because Im sure you can make great and practical swedish cars without making it full luxury
When did I say that
nope, but just as a comparison of what GM does these days over the weird 2000's
looking back on the tech and aesthetic of the 2000's with a 2010's perspective we all admited it was cringe but now i kinda miss all those round and futuristic looking pieces of tech, including stuff like the Aztek
They've diversified their SUV offerings but other then that all of their main names are still around
Minus the Impala
honestly at this point im absolutely sick of SUVs
I'd reckon a fair amount of people are
I mean our new family car is going to be a SUV but hey that's the best offer we can get
it still wont be as big as our wagon š¢
I'd pick a truck any day if the year over an SUV
Then just get whatever you think you'll "look good in"
just kidding it's all about what you love driving
but the redneck stereotype made me stay away from pickup trucks but then i remember i live in europe
most people who drive pickup trucks here as respectable farmers and businesses
Redneck stereotype isn't that big in america
Trucks can be just as comfortable as SUVs, while having more space for cargo and more ground clearance
the sweet middle spot between suv and trucks is probably toyota land cruiser
That's just a big SUV
not really imo
Hell the Escalade is bigger then the Land Cruiser and that's considered an SUV
i consider it like the japanese hummer in a way
i mean it's reliable, big, works for off road, comfy for the passengers
plus it doesnt have to be THAT big
i remember seeing some pretty spacious LC's
The land cruiser is considered an SUV by seemingly all journalists
i don't get what's so sporty about it tho lmao
well that's a fucked up term then
The term has become muddied as of late
this is our dacia btw
like damn the space is huge on the back
without the back seats
i think LC is just like this but bigger ground clearance
The land cruiser sure is bigger than you think
I'd just get a truck over something like this tbh
Bitch I've been riding in trucks since I was born
Thatās my point
I fucking drive a truck as a daily
I will freely admit I'm biased towards them as opposed to something like a Yukon or Expedition or Toyota LC
at least we can all agree it's not a god damn land rover
I mean it has a Toyota badge on it so... /s
Isn't it a luxury brand
yeah
Probably why
the problem with being a luxury brand is that most of them are actually reliable
Yeah old indeed
This was peak Land Rover
This specific car looks like it was assembled in a sweat shop to me
It just looks poorly made for some reason
I know they have a reputation for being much to the contrary of that but
Hey at least it doesnāt break down every 2 weeks
Unlessā¦
I need a honest opinion
but im moving and can't take my car for some time
Im looking
That's funny
what car did you have?
There's a couple more differences then height and length
right, the steering wheel being on the wrong side
wait you actually managed with a 2 seater daily driver?
Not everyone tows 7,000 pounds of oil a day in america /s
Grub you're in the US right
yes
you're lucky af then
kinda want a c3 ngl
C3 Vette?
what's a c3 again? citroen?
oh
right
lmao
there's also this C3
just as a fun fact
Maine has a odd abundance of old cool cars
i guess you can just get a new miata or a honda s2000
what's the difference between nc and na
I'm a new driver, so insurance for everything cool is pricey
ah i see
Only thing with a V8 where the insurance is in my parent's chosen budget is a truck because insurance doesn't give a shit about pickup trucks
by the way as a 2 seater, does the roof matter or no
No
for you i mean
take a look at honda prelude, i know it aint exactly a 2 seater but it's lovely
Winter will be the only issue, i still wouldn't care tho
A 2007 Charger R/T costs 200$ more per month then my 03 F150
My parents don't want to pay that
i could buy a mint mg or any classic roadster like that for some reason
As the car gets older insurance gets cheaper
People usually store them constantly
my first car is deffo gonna be a 2008 honda civic, i aint looking for much
But the reason they're looking for a car is that I might be going away for college, and they want
- A more reliable car then my F150
- Also want that car to be safe in a crash, which older cars generally aren't
absolutely cute
by the way i heard honda is considering a 2024 sucessor to the s2000
how neat is that
Pretty neat
and of course, with their stupidly overpowered vtec engines
Don't the new civics not have VTEC
I want something with a V8
I was suggested something Japanese with a smaller engine and turbod, so it'd be fast enough
But they don't have near the same rumble as a V8
Which just can't be beat
Or i could get thisš
Make it a ute
Yea
it was used to transport stuff for a flower business in maine
obviously
Oh and someone for some reason has a challenger convertible?
Me and the father looked at an 05 Silverado on Saturday
Doesn't look bad tbh
65,000 though
Yea
You could get a really nice Challenger/Camaro/mustang for that
Tbh i think if i save up til summer i could probably get a better chance at buying a miata
since everyone is starting to store them rn
We were thinking about buying a V6 Magnum/Charger and swapping a 6.1
Insurance isn't gonna care since they only look at VIN
They'll still price it as if it's a V6
I believe we have blue cross insurance
Had a 5.3 Vortec V8 with 30K miles, sounded awesome
Spring and summer is when the cool stuff comes out and fall and winter is when the trucks n shit come out?
Also had a leveling kit and some of those giant black-and-chrome wheels that stick out like mad and different lights and all that
Oh those spacer kits?
No
Or just the wheels?
The wheels were huge
OH
It wasn't a monster truck
That looks well done, my only worry would be the rigidity
But it gives it that cool vintage vibe when they actually made these
Yea
I'll probably look into the company that made it
im pretty sure they fix the rigidity issue somehow
hopefully they strengthened the chassis to cope with the structural differences
not having a roof, whether targa or actual coupe, is detrimental to stability
especially in a rear wear drive car with a heavy V8 and a lot of torque
What you're considering:
Working, driving cars
What you have:
Essentially a paperweight that looks a lot like an old escort, no offense
God that sounded bad lmao
I like that pickup truck tho if you could call it that
Sorry
my dad tryna buy this rn
Toyota supra mk1
not this exact one
in the pic
but id rather buy this instead
found in the chat
Yea
Mk3 better imo
Love me some YF-23
gotta love how exotic audi is considered in america but once you go in europe you'll be sick to your stomach of seeing it
Damn shame to see this rotting away
i feel you
sometimes i just wanna steal that damn car and have a better future in my hands than whatever the hell the owner is doing
Can someone identify this Car for me?
its fucking dope
is that another entry on the list of cool shit we dont get in the us
yep
damn since when VW has done motorsports without the Audi branding
damn you forgot the entire Syncro era?
never knew of it tbf
they have a very short WRC outing with the older R32 Golf chassis
and also Hill climb
bros.....will EV's ever get cheap?
Probably
But I will literally be too old by then
let alone hydrogen which will probably be a proper thing in like 50 years
if that idea doesnt die
that's a really good choice but he's better off waiting for a C6 if he wants the comfort
I'm planning on buying a C6 because it's the perfect luxury car of it's time
that's nice
i cant wait for our new car
Dacia Duster with the best config
It's affordable as hell and quite good
was even ranked 9/10 on Top Gear
plus very reliable
It probably will, considering EV has a massive headstart in infrastructure.
Dacia - Renault same thing different symbol
the difference is that Dacia doesn't come with more shiny details and stuff but the engine and transmission is the same thing
only cheaper
sometimes
I mean I know it's the same thing
but damn is it good, I just wish there were more options
They even considered a coupe one time
and the best thing is that here in it's motherland you can service it anywhere
you can go to someone and ask for a part and they have it in 20 colours
ye I know in portugal we have dacias that look more like a jeep than an actual dacia
but since it is a ''cheap brand'' of renault they don't do much
or like we say ''a more affordable Renault''
idk if it is the new Jeep Renegade that
that the Dacia looks like it, at least the rear view like the taillights
Ahhhh
the duster stop lights
yeah they are are similar
The new 2021 model which we will get has new stoplights
The Y shaped stop lights are much better
very long time
they were huge in rally
then dieselgate happened
so vw, porsche and audi pulled out of most sports
VW is currently back in R5
and both audi and porsche will return to le mans
yep
yeah i only thought of audi when it came to vw's motorsports
Volkswagen has the ID-R which is really cool
Also yea a really cheap ev is probably something available maybe 10-15 years from now at most
Batteries and energy density get better and cheaper by the year
Hasn't battery density cost dropped by like 90% over the last 10 years
Yep
I don't imagine that percentage drop will taper off anytime soon either
Car manufacturers have to understand not everyone wants or expects luxurious interiors as a standard
2010 to now has been an insane leap
We still haven't mastered batteries yet
Yea thatās surprisingly how it is now. Back then most cars were made like dogshit unless you got a rolls royce, Bentley, or an s class
I don't even think we've mastered ICEs yet either
We've came close on some occasions
I dont mind all plastic interiors with mesh seats
Cars fill single purposes but now they try to be sporty, luxurious, and practical all in one
I grew up in those it ain't that bad
Apart from backup cameras
I hate parking trucks
How come Mazda is so cheap and great
I hate pulling out of parking spots in trucks too because of the bed sticking out behind the wheels so I have to take a really wide turn so I don't peel the bumper off the car next to me
Like Toyota is cool and all but damn is it expensive
It isnāt just the bad quality and mediocre looks anymore, cars today need to be much safer and filled with a ton of stuff like sensors and active items
The shitboxes of the 90ās and early 2000ās all look really nice
Eh, they're average priced
The Sonata, accord, Camry
For me expensive means over 20k euros
They look decent and have good quality for the most part
So... Most cars?
You'd be surprised how many good stuff under 20k you find SH
If you want cheap, just save yourself the hassle and give the environment a hug and get something a few years old
Meanwhile my neighbor almost paid like 85,000 for an F250 Tremor
Or was it 75,000
Jeez
Even if I could afford a new car here Iād still probably get something a few years old that got eaten by the majority of its depreciation
I mean I can always use monthly pay for cars over 20k but damn 4+ years sounds dreadful
To be honest I'd probably just buy a 2021 vehicle down the line when I can actually afford a nice-ish car
Maybe like a Ram 1500 big horn or Rebel
Like an Audi rs6 or a bmw m5 that went for over $100,000 in 2017 can be bought for a little more than half that today
If you can find a good warranty on these itās the best bargain ever
Maseratis are the king of being ass so they are worth pennies compared to their stick price when they were new
They drive nice and are fun but they are shit quality fir what was $80,000 at one point
Buttt
For $29k
Not bad
i found a 13k maserati quatroporte from 2005
Nah nothing before 2010
damn why do maseratis deppreciate so badly
Thatās a nightmare
Because they're shit
if you can't afford the initial 100K price tag of a maserati, you cannot to maintain a 20K one
As stated, they suck ass
Is that a phone
they're built with shit, break very often and lack any modern tech, the 190K gran turismo had a full analogue until 2016
They are both Chrysler products after all
Lmao
it's an inferior aston martin in every way, aside from sound and looks
they still use the 20 year old engine from ferrari
Well, both of those are subjective
Also doesn't the Gran Turismo have a 4.7 V8
the quality and performance is awful, when compared to aston, which also have maintenance issues
Some subject live things in life are closer to objectively being agreed on than others
Maseratis sucking and being overpriced is as objectively subjective as they come
The only thing they are good at is looking good
And impressing the high school student at the McDonaldās drive thru
Who'd probably say "damn nice Ferrari" anyway, invalidating your presence
Anyone buying a brand new Maserati could get a specced out 5 series with double the goodies and more interior space
or a bentley
Bentleyās are great but they are in a different league than bmw
which also depreciate fast, but don't have exploding engines and plastic parts
Or a really slick Audi
Or Merc
Or Porsche
the only reason why maserati exists is because fiat still dumps money in them, they still need a brand to compete against bentley and aston in terms of GTs
An old Bentley continental gt from say 2007 looks practically new intil you are inside the vehicle and notice the early 2000ās stained wood trims lmao
the brand is iconic
Was iconic š
Or buy American and get the same build quality, more electronic stuff, and more power for less money
still is for people who don't know the company
they just see an expensive italian brand with fancy leather seats and a loud engine
The gran turismo is decent at best but it is miles ahead of whatever shit they try to pull for those lack lister sedans
Fancy leather that probably came out of china and goes in Chrysler 300ās
It's the closest the Italians got to a pony car
Idk if thereās much fancy in there
And frankly they got pretty close
eh
they're not supposed to be pony cars
maserati had a wild racing heritage, but sort of lost and fiat came in
which doesn't really allow brands to make cars which could compete against ferrari
hence why alfa is just a normal brand, fiat b-tier alfa, lancia a-tier fiat and ferrari ferrari
fortunately they're reviving the brand with that mc20
Yes yes I know
But it's hard not to compare the Gran Turismo to a mustang or Camaro, they just seem really similar to me
I mean yeah they both have big V8s and tend to overheat
but maserati is mostly meant as a brand to make sporty luxury cars, most;y GTs
hence the name of gran turismo and gran cabrio
I know
They have a Ferrari inspired v8 in a car that is supposed to be a daily vehicle going over 30,000 miles in its lifetime
Nothing can go wrong

Awesome
But people say the C63 is like a German muscle car, though mercades is also viewed as a luxury brand, no?
The c63 could justifiably be classified as a rough and tough balls to the wall vehicle
Big v8 in a small coupe frame
Fun
mostly because it's a torque heavy benz with a v8
AMG build their cars as such anyway
which looks a lot like muscle cars
granturismo isn't very torque heavy
and relies on top end
nonetheless an inefficient engine not suitable for daily driving
but sounds very nice
yeah they also use that engine in a few alfa QVs
I thought that had a V6
yeah they use that engine for a lot of cars
almost as many different alfa romeo and maserati models use it as ferrari's
but maserati uses the standard V8 config
I know Alfa used that same 4.7L in the 8C and Disco Volante
Brilliant sounding thing
yeah it's a platform they'll still use for the next generations
especially ferrari since it needs hybrid models
RAWE CEEK!!!!!!!!
yeah i hope so as well since it's Mexico
How do race car drivers and pit crews stay awake for 24 hours?
they don't
being awake for 12 hours during while performing a demanding job isn't really useful for things like pit stops, where everything has to go flawless and as efficient as possible
they just switch
like the drivers
I'm not sure of the strategists and team leader takes a break, though
Would they get enough sleep?
no, but sufficient for a day
I believe they have multiple of those too
they can and probably do
the pit people aren't always active
The drivers usually just piss in their seat
and the pit stops are determined before the match
Really?
unless there's an accident
And although coffee will make them piss a lot, it helps them stay awake and alert too
yeah they just piss their pants
And they poop inside the car too?
As if that actually needed to be said
nah, they're sitting
It's easier to hold a shit in then piss
They only get out of their cars in pit stops when their shift ends
usually
Plus I believe they eat light the night before the race anyway
Probably
And they do hold practice races and pole/qualifying races before the 24h race proper
They dont, neither does the pit crew iirc
They just sleep on the floor or their desk for 1-2h
even at le mans?
Yeah iirc its only 1 crew sets allowed
Lemme check WEC regulations in that
Gosh I want to offroad in the desert so badly
I keep seeing in my recommended desert off road videos
I imagine it's fun, aside from the heat and your spine exploding
their balls of steel help the car balance mid-air
Wow someone reasonable enough to say podium instead of win
There's a myth here which says that e-parking brakes are less reliable and more expensive to repair than manual parking brake levers if it breaks. Confirmed or busted?
Both engages the same way, different method.

The one time I didnāt want to buy the premium edition, the car pass features one of my favorite cars
oh which is it?
are goodyear tires worth it?
For what purpose/discipline
They'll probably do fine
That suspension looks like death
Have you heard of air suspension?
Air suspension on a track car?
Yeah yeah but low suspensions make me anxious
it's always a storm of "what ifs" when I look at one
Imma give yall 3 choices
You want to attend a Car Meet

I donāt think Iāve ever seen a modern Corolla hatchback in WRC
Of course it's the golf how could you tell
god i love separate fuel gauges
Lol I think most Golfs have it
I will be getting 2 more gauges for oil temp and boost pressure by Christmas end.
Getting the S3 turbo setup done
pegot ca r
Miat
That Miata driver is probably having more fun then the viper driver

Cause i like it

shocking right? woooow people make great rally cars out of hatchbacks wooooow

very shocking
like most of those platforms rally cars are made on aren't front wheel drive
and like they are not gonna have to make drive trains for them
Difference between that and a rally car is if you take that on a rally course/rally cross track it most likely won't last
what r u on bout
shits a drift built car, not a rally built car
WRC has a separate category for FWD, mostly for beginners or privateers
Not what I meant
Most of those european cars you see are factory front wheel drive cars with everything modified. nobody cares if the tires are for drifting and it's RWD or FWD people make it AWD.
Well, the technology developed for WRC is used for modern day cars
Like a Peugeot/Citroen car out of factory isn't RWD/AWD it's just a front wheel drive car
they do
that ugly cross-over is 4wd
The technology doesn't have to be directly used for the donor car or the shell it resembles
Which one
3008
is that used in rallies?
No
yeah I was talking about hatchbacks used in rallies specifically
I'm saying that the technology derived from WRC isn't exclusively used for the cars itself
and that this car would make a perfect rally car
