Steel shouldn’t as much as it did on this impala
The panels weren't very thick
That's why they had to reinforce the panels they painted
Because they'd bend or dent fairly easily with the paint and finishing methods they used
You forget that cars now are designed to crumble and give in a certain way
Cars back then... Had no thought put into that whatsoever
Yeah to absorb the force
Nothing beats this tho
Maximum force absorption 👍
Maximum safety
Yeah, absorb the energy and slow down the deceleration
Slowing the deceleration is the main goal
As funny man Clarkson once said...
there's a balance between the two
we enjoy modern safety features like seatbelts and proper seats, crumple zomes and airbags
we do not enjoy modern safety features like overzealous traction control, two hundred sensors that hard brake and shit your pants the moment a fly passes by
we've gone far beyond the balance of the two
You have to account for really stupid people behind the wheel
That’s why they force a lot of these features nowadays
we account for dumbfucks because apparently driving is a right and not a privilege in today's society
True
I will never drive a Volvo cuz safety
I want a mustang soo
Wrong
i drive the cool volvo it's not the same i swear 😔
The twilight one right?
What is. “Cool in Volvo” sorry
All the Volvo owners are either boring parents or over protective parents teaching kids on their car
They power the noble m600
anything with 5 cylinders, of course
I like Porsche tho
come on you've never seen edward drive his volvo? probably the hardest a non-DTM volvo has ever been driven
the coolest scene in twilight (it's twilight, the rest of the movie sucks ass)(aside from the scene where supermassive black hole plays)
shitass fast and furries can't get cooler than this
I’ve only driven a civic in a challenger soo
That civic was taken to a scrap yard for the cash
Never a Volvo
i sing praises for this car probably way too often
it's a focus platform but with 5 cylinders in it
not any old boring volvo
Ah not girls first Volvo ?
Must be fun to drive kinda like a miata or an 86
Volvo 5 cylinders can sound more badass than they have any right to
Better than a 5.7 hemi?
Well they’re 2 different worlds
I know what your answer is going to be
No offense
they uhhh.... https://youtu.be/kxITm1GosGo?feature=shared
#volvo #exhaust #t5
Let us all agree on something, that camera audio don't do any car exhausts justice. No matter the expense of the mic, or the quality of materials used, microphones in general won't make the cars sound like they do in person. Even with a decent size resonator this Volvo C30 T5 is still very loud especially with its INSANE loud...
hehe
it's like half an r8
Unless yes it’s turbo maybe
Most 5.7s I hear don't sound very good because their owners are too broke to afford a good exhaust or too tasteless to get one
That’s why I want a hellcat
No muffler or cat
the t5 is turbo'd mine is a 2.4i, no turbo
eheheheheh
why volvo 5 cylinders sound so fun
This is what I mean by tasteless
The "loud=good" philosophy comes at the expense of everyone else, not to mention it's more likely to get you into legal trouble
I live in the middle of nowhere..
IMO a car can sound good without being obnoxiously loud
Unless im getting a visit from a deputy
You aren't always in the middle of nowhere though
Idk when I retire my belle idk what car will replace her
I like the loud factor
Dodge people usually do
I’m not that kind of dodge girl..

I don’t live in the projects
You know damn well that's not what I meant😭
I live in bum fuck middle of no where county
Any loud but cool dodge cars?
As far as modern dodges go one usually comes at the expense of the other
the last cool dodge lineup was retired in 2017 💔
Durango exists
aint
They said cool
Eh I’d say with cars in mind, dodge before the charger EV made some hella cool ride
They had so many cool challenger trim levels
They started to wear out their welcome starting with the redeye
on the contrary, i think that the charger ev is the coolest looking car they've made in the past while
cough cough vomit hornet cough
The charger EV looks cool but it failed
It's definitely the best looking car they've made in a long while
All it’s got going for is looks but the EV part is bad
If they can stuff a 5.7 hemi or a 6.2 L hemi in the car IM SOLD
Also don't forget it doesn't have a decade-old interior anymore
i wouldn't be sold, the platform is the reason it's a bad car
they made a genuinely good car with two issues
1: it's heavy as shit because it pulls double duty
2: it's expensive as hell because it's a new platform
I’d love to ask, If I were to go ahead with a new car, do you recommend older mustangs,
No, simply because they're old and they're fords
found on road dead 😎 😎 😎
Imagine dodge brings the challenger back in the new charger body
Idk how to feel bout it
then it's not a challenger is it
kind of the whole difference between the charger and the challenger is in the body and length of the car
I would question why they even bothered
Using the challenger name as a way to sell
The charger is just as iconic of a name as the challenger
I have a soft spot for the 4 door chargers
that bald man in the furry movie wasn't driving a challenger
Idk I’ve been around em a lot
FAMILY
The challenger also isn't what Dodge used in the superspeedways of NASCAR
Or Le Mans that one time
I just hope the new ceo doesn’t fuck up the new charger platform
it's already fucked
The new CEO is who made dodge cool, but he doesn't have a lot to work with
Idc if it looks like a promising upgrade like charger with a 6.2 hellcat motor I’m sold baby
I'm honestly not sure any of their V8s would fit
I haven’t seen one in person, idk if it will
The charger was designed specifically for the Hurricane, which is an inline, which means a narrow motor in comparison to their V8s of ye olde days
the biggest complaint about the new charger platform isn't that it's got no big v8 engine or that it's ugly or anything, it's that it is extremely heavy because the platform has to accomodate either putting in the hurricane engine or batteries
Yup
Dodge isn't known for much else lol
I love my boat
I even named her in boat terms
If she’s ever totaled I’d crash out
Any cars you’d love to own in a realistic range?
how realistic we talking
like, average trajectory in life, or i'm somewhat successful in my career and make like 150k
i could buy an 86 right now and be the happiest little shit around
I want a truck :3
Used
the kind that would run me over at a red light because they're lifted and can't see my tiny car
Idc what it is, ram, ford, even fucking Toyota
the truck is just high enough that the headlights peer down behind my rear glass in the middle of the night and turn my interior into daytime
yeah i know the kind
Not too lifted
just lifted enough to kill a people under 5 foot
i like lowered tall cars
ever seen a lowered forester
turn your suv back into a wagon
so cool looking
also makes it not do what it was designed to do, but whatever not like those people have seen a gravel road in their lives
I like dirt paths:3
I can speed on em
the wrx calls your name but you don't vape so it has no effect
Then.. a Mitsubishi ?
not today no
What’s the stereotype of a Mitsubishi woman driver?
mitsubishi forgot what a car is
uhhh
my friend's mom drives a mitsubishi
she's kind of the type of person who doesn't drive
not into cars
it's a phev suv
Since Subaru is a vapers car
modern mitsubishi, nearly every single one of their lineup is a phev suv anyway
They do, it's just a crossover

it'd be a darn shame if they brought back the eclipse nameplate as a crossover
oh wait
Best I can do is a 45
god's caliber
same but not jk
HOLY SHIT there charging 2025 outlander for 40k
I want a normal lancer evo..
Before they turned it into a cross over
i don't even know where they find all the voltex and varis parts here
there must be a distributor here because there's no way they're all shipping them from japan
the coolest one is the wrx
but that doesn't look so good these days
looks aside it's an extremely good car for an extremely good price, but man it's not a great looking car
One that doesn’t smell like vapes?
Do they make coupe model wrx?
No
the last coupe was like, the gc8 impreza wrx
4 doors has been the standard for decades
FAQQ YOU
The 22B right
Too you Subaru nerds, is the TS intresting
the new one?
i think it's got a bbk
in terms of being interesting, that's all
well, having a bbk is better than just being a cosmetic trim
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Any other rally style car:3
gr corolla
won't lie, not a particularly good car, but i guess you are a single person
When I’m not head over heels in love with dodge it’s a gr cololla
fits one and a bag of groceries
I swear something in me loves a 300 hp fucking compact
who doesn't love a hot hatch
How much is a gr Corolla?
Is it.. out of my range
Like new challenger money?
dealer markup? probably more than you want to pay for a toyota
I can’t afford a fucking Supra bitch
You think I’m a basic bitch who likes a bmw based Toyota ?
I like dodge :3
It looks sexy
fr
An automatic transmission in a gr corolla costs an extra 2k
"it's a bmw" let's not pretend that toyota has made a decent sports chassis in the past 20 years
the corolla is a corolla, the 86 is a subaru in all but the direct injector on top of the boxer engine
it's, in fact, a very fucking good thing that the a90 is a bmw
because it doesn't drive like shit
yeah, i think it actually does handle better than the z4 it's based on - but that might be a function of the z4 being a convertible
Do you know dodge cars a lot
hell no i do not like american automobiles
Is it better to trade in a rt for a gt AWD?
anything past the 70s is dead to me
I wished dodge made an AWD v8 for civilians
ah huh
I’m an American car fan..
I’m from Japan, we rarely see American cars there
Challengers are a rare sight
So when I had the opportunity to buy one. I did
you can put a big engine in a big suv, it's still a big suv and those don't exactly inspire a generation or sit on posters in bedrooms
I like the 5.7 L pur
If you want to see a crazier car spot in Japan I’ve seen a 70s challenger there
see all sorts of cars in japan
I love the American car market
Any
I’m not deep into American car history
But I love the design n big engines
The reason I got a fucking challenger in Arizona is cuz they big engine
definitely not today's then
Something in me just loves a 150hp if that compact 🙏
E36 compacts are so dope
I love any big engine lmao
Usually theyre just lil 4 cyl 1.8l or 1.6l or 6cyl 2.0l
But yeah love me a good compact
I like the Corolla gr
It’s one of my second favorite compacts outside the ford focus RS
The ultimate rally beast
Do u watch formula drift n stuff cause ryan tuerck drifts a lil rolla and it’s pretty dope
Ooh yeah that thing is pretty good in rally
The focus is badass irl
I wish i could see some rally irl but i never see anything about it in my country
I’ve seen a rally race in Hokkaido
Once
Oosh that would be sick
It is great, they do it alot there
Japan seems so cool id love to go someday
go visit fuji speedway
Hell yeah
I have car with 2 options: with or without Turbo engine.
Which one is great for heavy traffic areas?
Turbos don't make a difference if you're regularly commuting. With a turbo car you want to wait longer to drive off, to let the oil circulate and engine warm up.
Also some turbo cars require higher octane gas
So always check that
turbos are another moving part that can fail
that means maintenance, repair, and replacement
along with the higher octane gas, this is going to increase your costs
if all you're going to be doing is sitting in traffic, i wouldn't bother with it
But at least it goes sututu

relatable
Guys look it's an Or Or
Or 150
bro staring at an egg and said peep the rari 🤦♂️
peep that man's nike socks
Loooking cars worth more then my fucking place lmao
I'd be very happy if my primary residence was worth as much as a Koenigsegg
That would be like a 5500 square foot 5 bed 6 bath house with a massive inground pool
Going to LA protest
The bepis laser
No theater room?
No stripper pole and open bar room ?
Asking the right questions
yoooo
@jagged sentinel poor LC200 sales apparently
There are very few countries as accommodating of large vehicles like the big boy LC as the US
but a lot of reviewers (including Doug demuro) reviewed the ""new"" Land Cruiser Prado as if it's the successor to the LC200
which is not true
And it infuriates me
"The Land Cruiser used to have a big ol' V8 now it's a small 4 banger hybrid!!!!"
6000 pounds towing is...
ITS NOT. THE SAME. CAR.
For a utility vehicle of that size, that's a bit low
the Prado is basically the Toyota of the Lexus GX
it's also pretty much a 4Runner on the insides
same engine, drivetrain, chassis
which means we also do not get the 4Runner here
Rip
I'd still rather just get a 4runner if we can't get the real LC
ye
Also the price for the Prado is obnoxious
Which 4 cylinder
the same engine
The turbo diesel or gas
Makes sense
people who own the car said that it's extremely loud and begs for mercy
The motor? Or the road/tire noise
the engine
It's not even exceptionally heavy as SUVs go
iirc it makes the same power figures as the outgoing 4.0, which was already rather underpowered
the big boy Land Cruiser also gets the same engine (the 4L V6)
And notoriously bad on gas if I'm thinking of the right V6
And in that car especially the engine barely moves it
My mom has a 2018 Durango with the V6 that makes 295 (compared to the Prado's 270) and it moves perfectly good
And a very similar weight if I remember right
It's curb weight is 5000lbs
the Prado
Durango hovers around that too
Durango is pretty much the same
My mom's particular car should be between 4900 and 5000
the prado's curb weight is 5100
Toyota also put the 4.0L V6 into FUCKING EVERYTHING THATS BODY ON FRAME
like I said, some big boy Land Cruiser trims use that same engine
It's also interesting that Pentastar V6 in her Durango was like a decade old by that point, and it produced similar power most of that time
Both the 200 series and 300 series
And yet Toyota's V6 in the current year, used in vehicles of the same weight class, with a similar displacement and probably more tech, still makes less
the 200 also uses the engine from the GX460
to sum it up: power of a 4 cylinder, consumption of a V8
Damn, Chrysler beat them there too
Somehow
Idk how a company as mid as Chrysler came up with an engine as reliable as the Pentastar
And it's replacement...
Well the replacement is the Hurricane. And we both know how well that engine turned out
Just for reference, the 4.0L V6 gets approximately 15mpg on the Prado
Probably less on the LCs

I mean it is shaped like a brick
So would you recommend the pentastar Durango
I am a Pentastar shill
hmmm
I don't think this is the first time I've ranted about it
What about the hemi
The 5.7 is a bit underpowered but can last around as long as the Pentastar if basic maintenance is adhered to
My mom's current car is a 2015 kia and it's as reliable as cars can get
My dad's old ram and my mom's Durango both have Pentastars, both of them are nearing or have eclipsed 200K miles without any major engine related issues
11 years of ownership we only did basic maintenance to it
A reliable Korean vehicle?
shocker
(Most of the problems with Kia/hyundai are American made cars)
There's also the stereotype that Kia owners dont change their oil so there's that
Even if the V6 in the truck shits the bed my dad probably wouldn't have to pay more than a grand for it because of an obnoxiously good protection plan and warranty
It was so good that they stopped offering it the year after he bought his, and tmk it hasn't come back since
We took it to a dealership to get a headlight electrical issue diagnosed and he would have paid like 300 bucks or something like that, but because of the plan he got he paid like 60 or something crazy low
Yeah I've also heard that Korean car owners treat and/or drive their cars like shit
it helps that we change the oil every 3000 miles or 5000 kilometers
Believe it or not, brainless consumers, if you drive a vehicle like you stole it every time you drive it, it will not like that or you very much
Good idea
also, someone somewhere said Kia bad
So everyone started parroting the same opinion
Case in point: the Kia stinger
every reviewer kept saying how good the car is, but kept ending it with "but it's a Kia..."
Honestly I think Hyundai are probably where the hate started, deserved or not, and then it just got tacked on to the other Korean brands as time went
Which is weird because Motortrend, an American automotive magazine that like American cars, gave Genesis (you know what Genesis is) multiple car-of-the-year awards
My 600€ skoda has so far been good to me and i intend on keeping it untill the wheels fall off it
Skoda has been a good budget car brand for the last 27ish years honestly. Like a friend of my family bought a Skoda brand new in 1999 for 99.000 SEK which today is around 15000€ for a brand new car
Skoda is GM owned isn't it
Yeah that's right
yeah i cant remember when they aquired it tho
Opel is owned by GM
But Opel and Skoda has one issue in common. Rust.
It was Opel and Vauxhall that were owned by GM, I mixed them up
But GM sold them awhile ago
Could be
But yeah, Skoda has made really great cars but rust has always been the thing that sent them to the crusher (not as bad as Rover for example but ykwim)
and tbf they are quite ugly but i think they have a certain charm to them lol
Dear Mazda, 7mm Allen heads are for psychopaths.
Especially when the average set has 6mm keys and then jumps to 8
Blame Ford
If any design decision about any Mazda ever made it questionable, blame ford
So I can basically fix a Ford now too after 10 trips buying tools
Cars was made before Ford ownership? Blame Ford. Afterwords? Ford.
As a former employee of kia I refuse to believe this statement without knowing which engine it has in it
Nevermind you arent within the area of cars that would have been affected by the texas kia plant shitting itself
The v6s like in the hyundai genesis and the kia stinger are fine
The 4 cylinders run too hot and nuke themselves
The 1.6T is godawful for that, the 1.8 is a little better but its still terrible in the North American market
my mum has kia sportage
btw i love cars too
They arent nearly as bad if you are able to work on them
My mom wouldnt let me work on her 2016 tucson and it blew up 3 times 💀
yikes
She eventually gave into me telling her to sell it and buy something Japanese
the kia sportage is so reliable tho
Also depends on the market it was sold in
why a car from japan?
Easy to work on, stupidly reliable
same
i wish their car batteries would blow up
I wnt even buy a car newer than like 2015, even all the electrical assists in new cars just anger me
LMAO
Yeah, catch on fire going through carwashes
lol
Looks like the truck i drew in second grade 🤣
pff
But yeah i prefer the analog driving experience, at least with my summer fun car
My e46 is a blast
I prefer manual
ye
i dont think you would need a licence for if you got a automatic
the car does the work
all you gotta do is steer
I mean, you do though
I need to manual swap my e46 lmao
I hate this stupid dsg LMAOO
Its an aux cord
2 grand for a car?!
Yeah
thats a solid deal
Unlike the other 2 though the e46 has a clean title
ye
I dont buy cars in perfect running condition
I get em cheap because i buy other peoples waste
ahh
My e46 had a 3 cylinder misfire when i bought it, fixed ot the next day
Been damn near dailying it since i bought it
that is nice
Exterior is fairly clean for the price too
It needs some paint and clear coat but otherwise its almost pristine
but the best thing is youve got it cheap but also its getting all of your needs done
Even if it wasnt i have several other cars
Lmao
Repainting is among the least of my concerns for the mewntime
Sure it looks a little strange but i have some leaks to fix and part of the suspension to replace
And then the manual swap
Debating the 4.4l v8 from the e39 540i for an engine swap
id say have a tiny bit higher suspention only because it freaks me out when i see low cars go over speed bumps
i hate it
I hate the sound
If i go sideways i can make it
My neigbor had an f30 stock height and he scraped on most bumps too
ooo
What car lmao
I understand I can’t speak on that since I’m a muscle car driver but what car has so low to the ground suspension that it fucking scratches
My challenger is low to the ground I can’t drive it in snow
I can try, I’d have to get the snow tire
I dont even bother running either of mine in the snow
I have a truck and a subaru wagon for the off season
the new bmw 2 series just came out over here
jesus christ it looks like one of those sedan-ified hatchbacks, like the ford fiesta with a tall back end and tiny wheels
well yeah
the 2 in 2 series stands for "only buy the version with 2 doors or you look stupid"
every single four door in the subcompact sedan class looks squished because this size of car is just not possible to look pleasing for four doors
the sedan 2 series and the 1 series look like Kia's
Ay nice man what was making it misfire lol
Ooh hell yeah how powerful is that shit? Ive never been in an e39 n shit
1 more thing
Look at this biitch
Boring tho i like having fun whike driving
283 horsepower for the 540 swap
Thats a 99 horsepower gain over my e46
Oh shit thats algoods haha fuck yeah
in top gears vietnam special jeremy complains about his vespa not getting in gear, i thought the vespa has a cvt?
he purchased what appears to be a 1967 vespa sprint 150
that did not have a cvt, no - i think they only got automatics in 1980
in fact, the whole scene before that where they took off, jeremy didn't take off until that blonde australian sounding woman came along and taught him how to turn the scooter on and go through the gears
or what's left of it 😭
Lmao legit man😂
why it starin at me like that
lol
“I like rusty clutches” 🤣 “ it makes me feel nice” lmaoo
frrrrr. feel bad for it.
@silent oak you'll fucking love this

I'm glad I got the rubber mats for the floor. This is only after a few days
It got so dirty
How
My job
The cement plant is very sandy and powdery, so even after taking my boots off and getting my regular shoes on over time there is some residue
I also went to the beach so some extra sand as well
do I see
3 pedals
Oh, that's exactly what I thought, lmao
Nahhhhh that's just the push pedal to change the steering wheel position

integra?
I’m getting a ram boys!!
sorry for your loss
tim is my saviour
Ngl that shit aint even bad
about time, sports cars hybrids are alright, more power
Hybrid sports cars are the only cool hybrid imo
prius tho
but the fuel econmony is out of this world!
I like a hemi.. last thing on a girls mind
i leik kei trucks
I like hellcats :3
I'd legitimately consider buying one were I in the market for a C8 (and could afford it)
They are 100k for a hybrid. Damn
Looking for cheech and Chong set
Xbox new gen
I mean the van I'm looking for the breaking bad SET as well
you're looking for #xb-s|vehicles-lfg
Well i'll be damned, that's how you make an advertisement
Yeah I think they absolutely knocked it out of the park in just about every area they could
I wonder if the dodge will make a cool advertisement for their hemi chargers
Like a middle finger to Carlos
Yo guys I have a cool glitch so you still have the car but I get it off you for free
Honestly should've changed them sooner...

thanks for specifying which ones were new and which ones we old
I would have been very confused
Lmao
Maybe the one person a month who accidentally clicked here who has no concept of how brakes slow a car down may gain something from it /s
Exactly, I posted it on my snap story so some people don't know shit about there car
Beyuhmdubbayuu
Are the blinkers working
Yes
So it’s not a myth among beamers :3
Ironically, they didn’t work when I bought it
So every Beamer
Bimmer, Beamers are bikes.
I’m not a bmw fan obviously (outside the bmw m4 comp )
The 4 series is just a wannabe 3 series lmao
I had definitely over complicated how i was gonna sort the front ones, apparently they were much easier than i thought
Also i wasnt a big fan of bmw either until i bought my e46
I just want a Beeg muscle car
Mustang, challenger hellcat, what ever
Ive had a few chonky bois
I had a 69 camaro a while ago
Sold it to fund restoring my c10 instead
It better be in midlife crisis yellow
My friend say i had my midlife crisis at 16 since thats when i bought my z33 roadster
My friends coworker did that
I think he has 2
But the c7 exploded
POV: your that friend who’s helping in spirit
now which stinky butt doesn't want to call this a supercar
Bwaaa
One thousand two hundred and fifty horsepower
whoever says it isn't a supercar is in denial
It’s a hypercar at this point
It's riding that line real tightly
The torbillion sounds freakin awesome
Wait that's the mistral
Silly me

This is the new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ and it's Cadillac's shot at the ultra-luxury SUV world. The Escalade IQ is massively expensive, massively powerful, and just plain massive at over 9,000 pounds. Today I'm reviewing this Cadillac Escalade IQ, and I'll show you the many quirks and features. ...
weighs over 4 tonnes
isn't even the "long" version
In today’s standard that’s a supercar performance: revulto sf90 etc but hypercars didn’t evolve that much since 2013
So it’s almost a hypercar.
Absolute EV moment
Hypercar performance absolutely, but the term hypercar usually implies it is an extremely custom/limited vehicle
Like a zr1 could smoke a Pagani Zonda, but only one of those 2 takes over a year to build completely handmade with the craftsmanship of a 40,000 square foot manor
The other is a modern Hennessey Venom
this corvette platform especially is proof that if GM want to lock in, they lock the fuck in
It's cool to see how far they have come with it
It basically went from grandads basic sports car to full blown tire peeler in less than a decade
Even the last gen zr1's are really cool
I like the c6's see through hood thing
That's what I'm saying
Every Corvette since the C4 in the 90s has been throwing hands with Europe
(yes, I meant the 90s. The C4 ZR-1 came about in 1990 iirc)
Shit, the Corvette has been throwing hands with the 911 since the C4 ZR-1
@silent oak im slowly turning off my dash lights 😂 its almost like i enjoy this car
When i bought the car it had warning indicators that every light was out, the last indicator just went off ~20 mins ago after i replaced the final bulb
Sweet how much for the car? With the warning light?
i paid $2000 for more than just warning lights
i had a 3 cylinder misfire
both of my cars withing reach were both the same price lmao
my lil ol subaru outback is within walking distance right now, paid $2000 for that over a coolant leak
Damn good find
If I wanted, to make myself hate me even more, I’d get a hellcat for cheap at an auction
Those have more problems then an Altima
🫵 stinky butt
the heavier it is, the more children that the driver can't see over the six foot high bonnet it can mow down
50% chance its a theft recovery
The other 50 is probably impounded at a takeover
Both sides you’re fucked
fr, aside from the odd issue finding a really nice e46 for that price isnt terrible, obviusly its not a 330i but im quite impressed with the output of my 320i
i need to fix both cars and find a friend ho will race me ion my other car, see which one wins in a straight line 🙃
Bonnet
ai generated safety hazard
tsk tsk tsk
Im now learning how out of place i feel at the bmw dealership
Im sitting here waiting for recalls on my e46 and the lounge is filled with like older people
Then theres me who looks like a toddler
I was gonna day that looks small
And why is it so low to the ground too
With sidesteps... like it needs them
You know what this means for most shops right
Most two-post lifts, including the ones at my college, vocational high school and almost all of the 20+ lifts at my dealership have a limit of 7500 pounds
So they'd need to get EV/Heavy Duty lifts to lift that fat fuck
Safely, anyway
that vehicle belongs on a four post lift anyways
even if a two post could hold that much weight, i don't trust it
it's like, one step removed from a box truck
it belongs on the four post
The tech that I shadow lifts lightnings and mach Es (Ford Dealership) on two-post lifts, not that he gets much choice
You can tell that they weren't built with EVs in mind because lightnings do not sit level on them; the back hangs considerably lower than the front, and removing the battery causes the back to lift several inches
Built to satisfy the EV grants lmao
i wouldn't put a full size pickup on a two post either tbh ev or not, but i'm scared like that
i'd bet those batteries balance the weight of the car, usually pickups are lighter in the rear, i've had a few scares before because i thought it was good to go and then that fucker starts swaying
four post is my beloved
alignment? four post
truck? four post
box truck? four post
scared as hell because jack point is rusted out? four post
I’m looking at you Hondas
Like half the ones I see are rusty on the frame
Even EV Hondas
to be fair, your region rusts literally everything
honda and all the other japanese manufacturers have come a long way from when they first started exporting to colder countries
Sadly yes, I have to keep my ride in my garage for reasons
And have to wash it
yeah, and you know, people who own consumer cars (like most of honda's range that isn't a type R) don't do that
they drive in the winter, they don't spray the bottom of their car to get rid of the rust, they definitely don't wash their car
that's life
not the car's fault, owner's fault
normally i would agree but when matt drives a civic with no oil in it around for almost four minutes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyejT4VPzlE
Even wondered what would happen if your car's engine ran out of oil, but were too afraid to test it out? Well, wonder no more! Mat's brought along a Honda Civic, Peugeot 206 and Ford Focus to see what would happen to these everyday heroes if you try and run them when they're completely dry of fluid. But which will rum for the longest? Let us kno...

BUT YES change ur friggen oil people!! 😭
Honda drivers be like: it runs forever on the same oil!
Then having to sell the car for scrap when your engine blows
to be fair, they probably bought their car for scrap too
I never really was a Honda gal
hondas are weird
they always feel like they're missing something
they're begging to be modified because something about them just seems missing from factory
A good none racer driver
like the only car i feel like is "good" out of factory was the nsx
look at an s2000 in stock form and it's like, wow so sporty... why does it look so plain despite being sporty? then you lower it, throw on wheels that don't look like shit, give it a lip, wow now that's a car, that's how it should have looked like from factory... hondas are always missing something and i don't know why
NSX my beloved
I don’t like cars that are so boring to drive like civics (or any eco box)
Even if they are reliable
that's the thing, compared to other cars of the level, civics aren't boring to drive
honda makes really good driving cars
Never been in a good one lmao
but i guess you like it when your car is trying to kill you... i know a guy like that
also likes muscle cars
also hates straight lines and traction
Who guessed that from a first gen viper lover
It was automatic
Atleast an automatic challenger is fun cuz it’s fast and heavy
Yes. Two post lifts were designed primarily with front-engined cars in mind, so the shorter legs (for lack of a better term) are where the front of the vehicle would be, and the longer legs have less load so they can safely be longer. EVs of course defy this as they tend to be more mid-balanced, so it shifts more of the weight to the back, longer legs, and makes it more dangerous
Of course lifts are tested to a degree over their consumer-rated weight to account for this but
The only EV-rated lifts at our dealership are...
Not where the sole EV tech at the dealership (for now) is
Right now I'm only aware of two full EVs that they offer
Lightning and Mustang Mach E, neither of which are selling particularly well
mach e and lightning, but they also offer an electric transit for commercial use
If you call the Mach E a mustang I will punch you in the throat
Would they pull a dodge and make a coupe mustang ?
EV
Not unless their backs are against the wall
😔 remember this thing? https://www.torquenews.com/106/all-electric-ford-mustang-lithium-concept-packs-900hp
If it was advertised on fords account, instant hate
I'll do you one better
wew
If dodge ruined the challenger name by making it an EV
I’d be forced to do something I’d regret maybe
they ruined the charger name, nothing's stopping them
Im 2007 or 2024
idk how i feel about that car
I was present at the event when this set its record
Atleast the charger 4 door after the face lift looks cool
sixth gen hater? 🤝
Nah

I understand why they made the charger a 4-door and I think it was a perfectly fine attempt at what it was going for
Best face lift
oh i get it, i just think it's fckin ugly
yeah the seventh gen facelift was much needed
The era of making 17 different 2-door cars that are similar in size with virtually identical engine-drivetrain options is over
That shitty cross grill of the 6th
WTF dodge
Oh, now I get it
I forgot that the 2023 and 2007 were separate generations
what a hateful design
You made the charger look fucking punted
Yes I am a 6th gen hater, at least until the very end of its production run
The 7th gen was a good form
I like the 2013 charger look, in some ways more than the 7th gen
It made it look good
it actually still looked like that in the seventh gen, from 2011 until its facelift in 2015
it's not great
past 2015 is what people are actually thinking when they think good modern chargers
The 6th gen ruined chargers until they face lifted it
They made it actually attractive to drive
they made it actually look like a car
Indeed
Not a prison mobile
seventh gen had a hella long run but you wouldn't think it because the facelift was so different from the prefacelift
a generational difference
Don’t get me started with the tail lights ok
The one thing I don't like about the 7th gen is the taillights
You don’t? I love that design the light bar thing going on
I like the 2011-15 taillights and some of the bodywork, but for the most part the 7th gen looks better, especially the sportier models
yeah i'm not a huge fan of light bars either
Fucking hate these tail lights
👴 wow that did not age well
I like these much better
Yeah I know it's blacked out but my point still stands
The 7th gen ones remind me too much of the dart's taillights
They just look...cheap
eah, they're much better than before but i still don't like light bars
2011 was the start of the light bar
Reasonable. Atleast your not the 2010 tail lights enjoyer
Hell nah
i mean if you wanna be real about it
they did this in 66
If ya did like it.. I’d feel bad for you.
I'd feel bad for me too
light bar is just part of the charger design, i just don't really like light bars as a whole
The black sheep of the dodge tail light
I love the modern challenger tail lights, such a drippy look
The mono taillight thing just kinda became a dodge motif
euck
Agreed
though, they kinda correspond to the rectangles in the grille for the lower trims that i don't like haha
Would it be a hot take to say that knocked it out of the part for that challenger generation
Especially for the retrofuristic design aesthetic the early 2000s had
That’s what makes them nice
I love it’s not a full light bar
Like the pre facelift challenger
Made light bars look horrible
i have always felt like the third generation challenger was always like, too tall... it's very stocky and thick, the original challenger was kind of thin
i guess that's modern design though
It was missing the critical component of like every good looking light bar
A good looking light bar
nah it was missing the good looking light bar too
it was just a fat glass square across the entire back of the car, that's just not good looking
or maybe i just really hate light bars
This is the Saleen 570x
Like I understand the influence but like that..
ain't it innit
Some people convert those on older gen’s to look like modern ones
Can't imagine why
cuz light bars suckasssssssssss
7th gen Chargers are the exception
They look semi nice
And iconic to the gen
The way it was done made it look cheap knock off, look at the 70s challenger
won't lie, i do like the new one though
The rear or front
it's not "cheap knock off", it's a design homage to the first generation
just like the s197 was a homage to the 69 mustang
I just don’t like how it translated to the newer body
honestly, i like how it looks entirely
it's just a shame that they decided to ruin it, but well, we've talked about that a billion times here already 😂
front could be better, but it's dodge, i don't like american design so as long as it doesn't look like 6th gen charger i'm not expecting much
when i was looking at the pre-release pictures, i was so happy the body lines actually corresponded to the old charger design
that showed to me that it's not a challenger replacement, it's a charger through and through
but ugh
That’s why the 2019 challenger is so hot
platform issues
It’s such a good looking car
It didn’t stray too far from the heritage of it
If you’re gonna be pedantic, the way the new charger looks. It looks more like a dodge designer from the 60s was alive today
Which I do like.. aside from the front.. atleast stick to your heritage and do that cover headlights
hah... i don't think they can, laws and regulations
but yeah
it has the same hips
it's so
nhujrnhnhmdnhio
HOW did they mess up the platform
Has the hips of a Latina but the frame of a European
Yes
And also they wanted to stick an inline 6
Like fuck you doing dodge, stick to v8s not inline 6s like bmw
the real questions are
how are they going to deal with cafe regulations now
that was the whole reason they discontinued the hemi
Well ram is coming back with the hemi
But it’s in trucks soo
what's their plan, especially after they sunk in so much into the hurricane
yeah it'll go to the trucks for sure, i'm just not sure if it'll ever make it to the charger
does the lb platform support it, will they want to do it because they've sunken so much into the hurricane, and how are they planning to deal with the cafe regulations that originally made them discontinue the engine
Screw Biden era policy
They ruined the challenger
regretfully, you can't screw the laws and regulations that prevents you from making things
Tim better make the challenger come back
Probably a bigger middle finger to Carlos too
i
don't think so
even if tim wanted to
the factory that produced the challenger retooled to produce the charger
That’s why mopar bros hate Carlos
that's why everybody on the planet hates carlos, probably
Even Tesla bros
running your american company like a european company is one of the decisions of all time
And I hate teslas
Running your company like the French more like
did you hear? carlos was the only person in the entire executive suite who wanted the hemi gone
yuck
tim my saviour
Carlos be like: yeah fuck the community we have!
loyal userbase? hah!
Bruh mopar fans are united on hating Carlos
The charger fans the dodge dart.. the 4 people who like that modern shitmobile and challenger owners hellcat street take over fellas. They can all hate on Carlos
tbh
they... probably could have just paid the cafe fines lmfao
weren't the fines like 4k off every car
4k is nothing for a big company
yeah
Even if it stacks
They would generate enough profit from sub prime loans from challengers
To pay off 10 fines with a few loans
i don't have access to what their financial department is thinking, but tbh, discontinuing the entire engine line because 4k goes to fines seems a lot like stepping over dimes to pick up pennies
who knows! i don't have all the information
was that you
Ye
holy shit the escalade IQ weighs 4.2 tons
doug demuro cant even stand in front of the car and stay in frame lol
there's a longER version btw
these prices make me envy the people born in '70s
☹️
a car loan does not cover the cost of this one
Imagine driving this around in the early 2000's
And look where it got the clown
Bro had a vendetta against fun engines and it effectively cost him his position
Nobody intelligent admits that they like muscle cars
But deep down...
We all do
Jeremy Clarkson said that so I don't wanna hear any "erm yeah but like that's actually not right"
Said that while driving a supercharged RTR mustang, no less
The other big 2 do
what an ass regulation, you can just pay to get around it
back in my day, aston martin had to make a damn smart car to get around emission regulations
when it's Stellantis' entire shtick
Irs would want to have a conversation
Lol
Drug dealer mobile
the wannabe gangster car
I love this

maybe?
he was the one who greenlit the 350Z and the GTR
I cannot finance it because the price has been largely inflated, the starting price for the M3 E30 was 58k deutschmark or 30k euro, and now the lowest prices I can find for one are 24-25k euro. Shit, I've seen some go for 50k to a 100k USD, so I'm in a relatively lucky position
Why would the msrp of the car 500 years ago matter for the market value of the car today?
The financing would be for the price it is currently
