But in any case, I think taxes are big reasons
some people in the philippines make as much annually as americans make in a month
Custom fees too
- lack of assembly plants and factories
Most of the popular cars from Japanese brands here are imported from Thailand
And maybe some Ford and Chevrolet vehicles too
Random thought: If only most SUVs and pickups in US are diesel powered, hmmmm
Turbodiesel engines would work with vehicles like Ford E-150
Their high torque would be great for hauling
Especially when hauling boat trailers
I think the US style markups in selling cars wouldn't work in Ph because of how poor most people here. Dealerships here can often be desperate in selling cars
After I test drive cars, I often get spam calls from sales agents and they offer zero down payment schemes
Yeah dealers are fucking predators
Once they know your hooked
They will try getting a trade in or something
Especially with their zero down payment schemes in exchange of high interest rates
If the years to pay is 3-5, then the total money you'll pay including the interest will often be like 1.5 times of the car's SRP
Or possibly 2.5x
Sub prime loans man
Oh, if the sales agents find out you're a cash buyer, they'll be less enthusiastic in accommodating you
Top Gear Ph once said that 1 reason why dealers or sales agents don't like you is you didn't buy their car. After scheduling test drives, you wasted their time and fuel because you didn't buy the car
But isn't the point of test drive is for customers to see if they want the car or not?
My local dodge has a scat pack last call
That’s why I love Vegas
You can rent the car you wana test drive
Without having a sales agent hunt you down
I don't wax my paint at all, that might do something good or bad for graphine aftercare. Do y'all use a buffer?
Too much graphine from a city wash is not good for your vehicle is what I'm learning
End up rinsin a lot. out here in the country...mhmm... I ain't tried buffering. Maybe it would give me a job today. Buffering....
I really want to rent a new supra to see how it feels
Vegas got it
To see if it’s worth buying?
That’s how I test drove a few challengers I wanted to buy myself
It would be a decent chunk of my income to finance that car so I probably won't get one anytime soon
I don't wanna spend $1100 a month on a car I'm too young to ruin my life lol
I test drove a red eye.. a demon 170.. a 2018 srt demon
Nice
The red eye was fun
It wasn’t fuck off speed like the demon but it was quicker then the hellcat
It’s 797 hp
BUT YEA I love my Vegas trips
supras have been keeping value tbh

Demon and red eye are the same horsepower on regular pump octane
Only difference in feel would probably be the gearing
The 2018 demon
Demon has a lower top speed
The demon came out with 840
All that weight reduction worked ha
They let you drive a 170?
In Vegas drag strip
It’s rare. And it’s overly marked up
How much were the drag strip experiences?
I'm surprised they offer that with how much liability that would create
Just letting random people hammer a quarter mile in a 1000hp car?
I would love to try it but the closest thing we have to that here is just supercar rentals on regular tracks
It’s on a drag strip with an instructor
Damn that sounds awesome
He showed me how to burn out well
well if you're not gonna be selling it, you might as well use it like a tourist attraction
generate revenue that way
Exactly, why sell a fucking demon 170 for a depreciating price cuz drag cars run hard
the Z is a good example of reinterpretating an older design
The z is cool and all but for that price id rather have the emira
This a mclaren right
720s
That looks like a cool ass meet
It could be a 750s since they looks exactly the same lol
Limited pics this was from some time ago and I just came across these randomly
Oh it’s Johnny silverhand car
I think the Hilux would be more popular than its bigger brothers like the Tacoma and Tundra.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lt9sktD1R8
Why is the Toyota Hilux BANNED in the United States?
And imo, the Hilux's size would be more reasonable for everyday ordinary uses like grocery shopping than Tundra
What car has GT-R engine?
300zx
I still think the Civic Type R would be much better if it has AWD
The civic type r is already over engineered and expensive enough
Making it awd wouldn't be worth the trouble it already handles extremely well
The main thing it would help with is shitty weather conditions and launching from a complete stop
Its already more more popular on a global basis but if you mean the us i dont think that’s the case as they love large trucks that are a bit comfortable
FWD has always been the civic type R's shtick
It's "banned" in the US because the Tacoma exists
And the Hilux occupies the same segment of the market the Taco does
Nah its a totally different car tbh
It would be considered a midsize truck in the US, which is what the Taco is
While ive never been in a tacoma i can tell its very similar to a silverado and the f150
It's not
That's the tundra
The Taco is equivalent to the Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado
Oh yea forgot about those
Nice, I thought its an engine swap
But anyway the hilux wont be desired by the us people
Cos in all honesty its shit
Its reliable and gets the job done but riding in it might break someones back
American trucks don't ride that great either
It's far from unbearable, even in a place with as shit roads as where I'm from, but they're no Benz
The towing capacity of the Hilux is in between the Taco and Tundra
Well they’re trucks at the end of the day
But the hilux feels like a fucking bench
And with potholes you’re done
Also I don't think americans would like any of the engines the Hilux has
It's gamble whether or not diesel engines that weak would sell well in America in a truck
The pic you took didnt look like R32's engine bay 🤔
Well it’s the same car
In case you haven't noticed, it has GTR badging, which would imply it has GTR components
Likely including the famous RB26
Exactly that’s why the tundra and tacoma exists
I think ive seen tundras before but never a tacoma
Is it a us exclusive?
Canada too but yeah
Pretty much
It was designed by Americans for Americans
The only American sized pickup Ph has is the F-150, not sure if there's still Silverado here
No ranger?
The Ranger is in the Hilux segment
Oh you mean full size
Yup
I wonder what the rates are for service all the way over there
These American sized pickup will sure be stressful to drive in Ph roads
They're still pickup trucks, even with a greater luxury element
Even without the off-road specific goodies they'll still be able to handle mild off-road conditions provided it has 4WD
But on roads like this especially if it's 2 way and motorcycles and tricycles squeezing themselves between obstacles, I wouldn't drive a Tundra and F-150
https://www.facebook.com/CITYINFORMATIONANDCOMMUNITYRELATIONSOFFICE/photos/huwarang-barangaybilang-karagdagang-highlight-ang-pagpili-ng-mga-natatanging-bar/1656382371088922/
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
Yeah the physical size could be problematic
And in many of this kind of roads, there are parked cars on both sides
3/4 ton trucks are to Americans what 1/2 tons are to Europeans
I tried Hilux and it's already stressful there sadly
I like how toyota was like “i wanna slice of that market”
They began with selling smol trucks
I doubt Toyota will ever go above a half-ton in terms of size
Idk if y'all not from the states are familiar with that system
Probably not because the market for anything bigger than a half-ton (F150s, Tundras, 1500s) doesn't really exist over there
Thats true anything over that size a small truck would be used for it
However i remember seeing a long and wide wide bodied f-150 it was massive
Not sure if its a f150
If you're using a 3/4 ton for something a midsize can do, you are wasting the 3/4 ton
It was probably an F-450 or 350 dually
Actually yes
Damn who needs this in a personal vehicle
Though the chassis cab (pickup truck cabin without the bed) can handle over 4 tons payload
Very very few people have a use case that necessitates a dually
They are not fun to park
The newer ones aren't as bad because of the extra sensors and/or cameras you can option
There’s also a single cab versions
Which doesn’t look like it can handle half the weight it actually does
They make a fair point about the Hurricane in the charger, but it's a much better engine in something like the jeep wagoneer because of the better fuel efficiency
Both of the Wagoneer's rivals have fuel efficient options
One of them really doesn't have anything else
So it’s a problem for them
honestly
hurricane into dodge neon revival?
😈
coming straight into it with not an srt-4, but an srt-6?
😈 😈 😈
Dodge stealth revival lol
miitsubishi 3000gt revival (it's an suv)
Every car revival is an suv lol
Or EV

They'll definitely make it a "sporty" crossover
Not necessarily
Idk in the US. In the Philippines, one reason why people buy pickups like Hilux is because the excise taxes on vehicles except pickups went up and it went down for the pickups years ago, so it's more on to avoid paying more due to the excise tax.
And our gov't said that buying pickups as personal vehicles to get around the excise tax increases is frowned upon
Oh, the Mustang convertible is removed from Ford Philippines model lineup
And the only "small" vehicles Ford Philippines sell is Mustang
I wish Teslas were still as cool as this and had even somewhat of a wow factor
Now they just make ubers and those shitty low poly pickup trucks
I have respect for Tesla for revolutionizing EVs, but my respect for them is only up to there
They pioneered, and then fell off like a rock
What if Chinese brands like BYD catch up to Tesla in terms of EV quality, tech and sales?
They did years ago
Oop
I would take a comparable BYD instead of any Tesla any day of the week
They're using them as taxis here
But right now Chinese cars are just as, if not more expensive than their Japanese/korean counterparts
Idk if it's true or not, but a BYD salesman said that the Tesla battery's technology is based on BYD's battery or Tesla uses BYD battery, I can't remember. Other than that, I guess Tesla's fall is already low that BYD has overtaken them
Before ev's china wasn't even seen as a country that manufactured real cars. Typically just shitty compacts and fake versions of European cars
Yup. BYD was a nobody back then
They went from that to leading the ev industry because ev's were the only way they could disrupt the car market
They could have never done it in 1000 years if they had to development regular ice cars
there's a brand called Hongqi that was launched all the way back in the late 50s
They were used only for the Chinese government officials
they're really nice tbh
Oh my. I checked Tesla pricelist here. I'd say "No thank you, peace out"
Buying a Tesla here is only kind of buying a BMW
And some are as expensive as Merc and BMW
BYD Seagull here costs $15,650.33
They start at $60k
As much as an entry level bmw
A Tesla Model 3 RWD starts at $36,755.61 here
I would never drive an EV not worth the shame really
For the price of a Tesla.. I could get a nice family car or a personal vehicle
According to my observation, I've seen many of my countrymen preferring Tesla over Chinese EVs because they accuse Chinese brands of invading privacy, but wasn't there a news report about Tesla doing the same?
I don’t trust dodgy Chinese production cars
Nvm they do at 40
Atleast with Tesla. There’s some quality control
Say that again
Nah tesla is notoriously bad at quality control
I prefer them to china owned cars
They’re not even sold in the us
I don’t drive EVs so that won’t happen
Some? I thought Tesla quality is said to be shit even with quality control?
Even worse than Chrysler?
Idk about that
But I think driving an EV here would be a "requirement"
At least in the capital region
Or be "forced" to buy at least two vehicles
I live in the sticks, where little to no charging stations belong
And plus we have more gas stations then charging stations
So just economically better to buy a gas car
In your place, it would be good
Yeah you can pull the door panels with minimal force
Cuz their cheap plastic lol
EVs and hybrids are exempted from the coding scheme
Have you seen where you can just slam a Tesla door and the door card breaks?
Yeah lol
Imagine if you're banned from using your car every Monday from 7am to 10am and then 5pm to 8:01pm or you'll get ticket if you use it during those hours?
That's a stupid number coding scheme here which applies only to pure ICE vehicles
The day which the car is banned from usage depends on the last number of the car's license plate
Good thing the coding scheme doesn't apply outside of the capital region. However, in provinces, 4WD is required
Because of poorly developed areas where even AWD will struggle
So a part time 4WD would be required which is expensive
Oh so Midwest underdeveloped roads yes
We have some pretty bad roads the more rural parts you go
Ello guys 😉
Hey
How r u
Goood
Yup. Those areas are where part time 4WD are best
Glad to hear that
My state it’s entirely encouraged to have AWD in the snowy months
But I drove my rwd car in snow it’s just fine
your US bias is showing
LOL Tesla qc
They may have "quality" control but the build quality’s not there to begin with lmao
Even their repairs have been reported to be half-assed
All that aside
Do you really wanna be driving a car that you just park at the dealer and they have full control of it without you giving permission to anything or pressing any buttons/giving them keys/keycard/whatever
That begs the question can they just shut off your car whenever they want or take control of the self-driving
Like imagine you’re late on your payments or something, your CC isn’t working so they can’t charge you so they just, stop your car from working, or better yet make it drive itself back to the dealer until you can pay
💀
I dont think they reached that point yet
As automated as it is .having control over every tesla is still far fetched
There’s like millions of them
Afaik, Ford is the one developing that kind of system which the car will drive itself to the lending company if you can't pay for its loan anymore
Ai is taking over repo now?
In the future, maybe
Its still complicated and will take atleast 5 years from now
Oh no we won’t get Franklin and Lamar to repo our car!!!
So what lol
If they can do it to one car they do it to every car
I know that sites like this are just automotive slop, but...
Nobody talks... about the Nissan GTR...? What???
Comparing to a fucking Camaro is also dumb comparison
They also said, in this article, that the R35 has a manual

While failing to mention that the Camaro has always had one as an option
post engagement via controversy, maybe
nevermind the fact that the gtr is labelled as a sports car in that title
im just staring at that article's thumbnail and while i still dont like the current facelift, i kinda get what it has going
top secret made a kit for the face lift
it looks like the nismo but like, better
singlehandedly turned around my opinion on it
only top secret tho
Sites like this typically don't have the greatest quality to begin with
Half of the articles from this type of site is like "only one truck in [insert model year] still comes with a manual transmission or something really basic like that
Hey by chance.. could I buy a salvage hellcat and use its grill on my challenger. maybe use the rims. Idk I fucking hate the oem grill
Or is it a whole different grill mount to the rts, I hate how stupid the factory grill looks with those two squares
might as well change your name to Stellantis CEO with the level of your obsession
@jagged sentinel @sage roost @dire shard @old sedge New GTR will be a 4 door crossover
I'm glad I immediately recognized the front end before my blood pressure spiked
I also found this gem
In what godless land are you finding these images
Electric?

Jokes aside, have you heard about the new CEO of Nissan?
Well if its a crossover might aswell be electric no?
Yay!!
And how he is almost universally seen as a car guy by his colleagues and friends
And more or less said that a cheap sports car like the Silvia (I.E. the Silvia itself) should make a return to Nissan's roster
Exciting stuff tbh
How cheap tho
Ask him
It wouldn’t be less than $50k
It probably will be
MSRP is what I'm using as a metric for price
Not what dealerships are selling them for
And the Z occupies the up-scale sports car market, market performance aside
If it will be then the demand will be high as usual and you cant get one for the official price
It’s ironic how dealerships used to have a hard time selling any sort of performance cars years ago
I’m a dodge enthusiast
i know
time to get off instagram
Instagram car culture is trashy
Like it invites the worst of the worst imo
Like Supra kids..
Mopar instagram gives us a bad rep.
Takeovers and bad apples give Mopar a bad rep
Mopar simply seems to have more bad apples
Eh maybe even more bad rep comes from modern mustang
Mustang's bad rep is mostly from losing control and hitting people. Dodge's is from crime
finally Nissan will rise again
Dodge has crime.. and having notoriety in street take overs
And various other attributes that make dodge drivers crazy
If I'm to buy a used car here
A Subaru BRZ would suffice I guess
On other hand, I've been seeing articles saying that Lexus is the most reliable luxury brand
I'm like "Is Land Rover's reliability a joke to y'all?"
Are Subarus the new Toyota of reliability
I heard rumors that Toyota went down a bit on that front
How the reshells going after dad rolled 💪
Afaik, Subaru recently overtook Toyota as the most reliable car brand
But I'd bet my money that Land Rover is more reliable than Lexus though
Haha the I get the joke~
So yeah, Subaru is on the top
But I think Toyota still beats Subaru in fuel mileage, at least here
And there are stigmas here that it's notoriously difficult to find Subaru spare parts after 3-5 years
But Subaru has nice tech
And the personalities that buy Subarus still stay
who's the nutter responsible for moving the transportation channel away from the motorsports channel
alright thanks for the swift action undertaken to appease an important concern
subarus are fast because they need to find headgaskets quickly
omfg omfg is that a fucking bmw e36?!!
Wow
OMFG THATS MY DREAM CAR
I even promise myself that when I have a job, Ima save for that baby girl
than buy the parts to customize it
body kit it
kiss it
put it on my bed (jk no)
I WANT IT SO BADDD
RHRJEJDJJEEJJEJENDD
-dhueueheheuee
😭
ima go cry and roll to the floor
my dream car...
my shaylaaaaaa

Land Rover is British and never had a good reputation to begin with, while Lexus has had a solid reputation for reliability in particular because they're backed by Toyota
British manufacturers in general don't have a good rep for reliability
Even McLaren?
Especially McLaren
McLaren build quality and quality control make Chevrolet look good in comparison
They'd be right
Land Rover and Jaguar are under the same roof
Idk about Rolls-Royce though
Quite literally in some cases
They're German owned, and German-engineered cars are reliable if you take good care of them, and I'd imagine RR owners would do that
It's a shame, I was planning to buy a used Jaguar for Grab (PH version of Uber), but I guess it might not be able to handle the everyday harsh conditions
Oh, I thought RR is British or at least originated as Brit?
And Jaguar/Land Rover, who are owned by an Indian company
They are owned by Audi
And they're the most successful they've ever been directly because of that
It lets the Germans do all the engineering and make the car run right and gives the Italians the opportunity to go ballistic with the styling
Can't go wrong with German engineering
Lets the two different countries do what they do best
You definitely can
You can just go more wrong with Italian engineering
So in that situation, German engineering is the better choice
Just look at the g11.. fucking German space magic
Too expensive for its own good
Its replacement was shit though
To think it would be standard issue lol
(G36)
Man what a blunder for the Brits
Almost like the new jaaag
Insulting
On other hand, look at this design
https://www.topgear.com.ph/news/car-news/nissan-ceo-new-halo-cars-tguk-a2603-20250329?utm_source=Facebook-TopGear&utm_medium=Ownshare-Photo&utm_campaign=20250401-fbnp-news-nissan-ceo-new-halo-cars-tguk-a2603-20250329-fbfirst

And Jaguar
"Teslafied" GTR
And Audi e tron
The production design or the concept
I like the production look
Isn’t the concept race one the ugly one?
The concept car I really like is the Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept
It's the best Dodge Viper design
What are they gonna shove a v10 in it?
Toyota on the other hand has a century
V12 ultra luxary sedan
It looks like the GT3 viper of that generation
First gen viper is the best
I like the 3rd gen
I love my vipers that want to off it’s driver
I like the 2nd gen/Viper GTS more than the 1st gen
I do like the track originated newer ones with their ACR line up
I'd prefer a setting that allows me to turn on or off the murderous nature of the viper, which the later generations allowed to an extent
So pussyfication..
I like being alive
And having functioning legs
Are you the type to not want ABS
Even though ABS doesn't really have a downside to performance
The new ones look pretty but my soft spot belongs to my baby first gen murder viper
If a car gets a reputation like that..
I’m interested
Fake manual
I have been thinking in my head for a long time now and I been thinking making mg very own and own concept Lamborghini aventador liberty walk
in blender ofcourse
is it in gta
semi automatic transmission
So will be under the nfa?
Or do full auto transmissions need to be registered with atf?
Theyre so sick fr ❤️ theyre definitely going up in price tho but there are cheap ines around
Youll get one someday man i know it 💪
Do you have one?
have you ever been thinking adding a wing on it?
lucky..
The wings everyone add no
I dont think id add a wing
huh
Unless when i get a ti id get a roof wing n maybe a ducktail
Lemme get a pick
Dont remember the exact name
Ohh thats right the e36 ltw
are you adding one on your thoughts soon
uhhhhhh
Or a big wang
yesh
@rose sierra if I had my own BWW E36 I would removr the rear bumber, Put custom black rims, skirts, custom front bumber, a big wang wing, paint it black half red, a roll cage and racing seat (whavteve they called)

bro its up to smth for me...
Ngl that almost what mine is lol just need a fullcage n swap the bucket seat out of it to my passenger one outta dads car
Oh and i needa put me new gearbox in
Is it possible to twin turbo
Uh not too sure tbh
I know were gonna turbo one soon
Maybe a 2.0l
Or maybe dads 2.8l
Not sure
is it possible you can swap the engine to a V8
you and your bf (idk sorry)
I dont have a boyfriend lol just me
Nah we got another shell were gonna ls swap for a drag car
Well i mean dad builds cars with me

sorry 😭😭😭
either both of these customization I will make when I have my own e36
Speed bumps will give you sudden weight reduction
Haha ur algoods
yooo wasup guys!?!??!
I wouldn’t be seen in one.. but looks decent enough for a Prius
i just realized something
dominic tourettes is gonna start driving the new charger ev, family is now very quiet and fake-sounding
Well then, he might start with a mustang
Atleast they still make v8 options
mustang is not family tho
True
If only the Viper ACR has automatic
There's a right and wrong answer
this question is to weed out the mopar people
You know what I’d pick.. but slim chance for a few bmw models..
My dream car
nice the kuruma, but without the dents i hope
It was my first car ingame bouta be in irl
That v10 is pretty bad tbh
i like big engine simple as
Yea but that particular v10 is poorly built
And has a lifespan of 1k miles before it blows
sir, this is a base level fwd lancer
i do not shame, i think a corolla-adjacent is an admirable goal...
Lmao
kuruma
Its wht its based on actually
Are you prepared for the fact that it's a disgusting gross stupid ahh Ford underneath

Nah the rezvani vengeance or the arsenal or even the Hercules 6x6 military
More than can go wrong with those
The Gurkha was actually built for Military work
Hence the acronym LAPV
It's also from our neighbors to the north
Not inherently a bad thing of course
They build half of our cars as it is
If I want to have an armored vehicle
I'd take this at least
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/7TnYdVimuf8
Hey even built most challengers
Name a car not built in Canada..
Most of Ford's lineup
And apparently almost all of GM's lineup as well
Aren’t mustangs made in Mexico?
I know f150s are made USA
No
Yes, I used to visit that plant 5 days a week
Damn
The Mach E is made in Mexico
I’m applying to work for a dodge dealer soon! I’ll get to know where the production of the EVs come from before they are gone
Canada
Like every challenger in a dealer lol
Ford won't be affected too much because they make almost everything stateside
Sales for the mustang (Mustang, not mustang Mach E) are tanking
Ain't nobody paying 50k+ for a GT lmao
Isn’t the gt v6? Or v8
So no poverty spec mustang?
Ecoboost
Eco my god boost
You'd probably be skinned alive for asking that in a mustang chat
I’m a mopar head not a ford head
But knowing how Stellantis shit the bed
Might go for the other option
And Carlos fucking Tavares ruined the hemi
He ruined dodge as a company
And ram
But his wrongs are being righted
Basically the same company
Still dodge as far as I'm concerned
They made them separate brands and proceeded to change...nothing at all
I hope the new charger has a v8 hemi option soon
Rumors are circulating of just that
All the insider groups are saying that a Hemi in the charger is a real possibility, which is a good thing
Yeah.. it looks good..
It looks sleek but it's also rather dull
Looks like Elon designing a challenger but with Tesla design philosophy
They also haven't said or done a goddamn thing with the SRT Banshee since they revealed it
I admit, they did a good job with staying true to the classic 69 charger
You're the only other person I've ever met that's recognized it as a homage
I guess I shouldn't be surprised knowing you but still
They marketed it fine for what they had available to them
Given the direction they were going I think they did fine
They were a little generous with calling it a muscle car though
Their core audience wouldn’t buy an EV lol
It’s like a company like Ferrari selling a averagely priced sedan
Their core demographic isn’t in the market for it
They were forced to alienate their own audience because of a person who evidently didn't know the first thing about the American car market
"first thing" was used for the sake of emphasis but in this case it may be right in a more literal sense
Fucking Stellantis, I’d buy a mustang or Camaro before touching an EV
I don't unconditionally hate EVs like some of my friends
It’s also like hummer coming out with an EV truck
I'd legitimately consider buying one as a daily
My states power grid plus lack of charging stations commonly available
I work at a Ford dealership with EV chargers, so that would be a non-issue for me
Plus I could just charge it at home
People don't care that you have an EV as much as you think they do
Like imagine mustang releases a classic style mustang but EV motor
People have already done that
Hallo
Hello
dürfte ich RP mitmachen
Luckily crash safety laws effectively make that an impossibility
I want a boss 429 mustang clone lol
ist das Konsolen RP GTA online
!rule 1
Refrain from using languages other than English.
@jagged sentinel
Also this is not a GTA channel
Ok
Baddest mustang ever made tbh
I love how in John wick they didn’t even use a real mustang 429 because it’s so fucking rare
It wasn't a 429
It was a Mach 1
Plus wrecking a 429
I made that mistake myself initially
I wouldn't tbh
It’s a car not a show piece
Like I understand not driving a real one daily
But a clone / replica
I said I’d be happy with a clone of it
It doesn't have AC, supposedly has an overheating issue, and probably has too much torque for those tires anyway
Wait sorry
I mixed up the overheating issue, that's the charger Daytona and Superbird
Nose cone issue more like
But SPEED
They also didn't sell well at all
Dealerships far and wide struggled to sell them
The super bird is super uber rare because of that
Superbird less so because they sloped the nose so it looked better, but they both didn't sell well
I wonder how the mustang boss sold
I hope they come out with a homage mustang boss 429 some day
Like taking design elements but using modern shit
The 429 is largely a footnote in the history of the mustang
Imagine they release a limited run of “wick” edition models
~1400 across 2 model years
The 429 anyway
The 302 was a more popular, conventional trim level and not a homologation special
Isn’t the 302 the same body?
Yes
The biggest difference between the Boss 302/Mach 1 and 429 is a rear wing
So I might need to find a 302 for a clone of the 429 body wise..
Oh and the quite conspicuous hood intake of the 429
Have fun finding a 429 motor lol
And getting it to fit
The 429 didn't have AC because there was no room for it
Ac? What about!
That's the main reason I wouldn't daily a stock 429
S550 (2015-2023) GT350/R
I’m not deep into ford lore
Could you take a classic ford into a ford Service station?
I'd probably just get a regular GT350 and put the GT350R aero bits on it tbh
The dealership I work at services mustangs yes
Classic? Not so sure
Ehehe imagine that one rich person with a classic mustang lol
We don't service classic mustangs
That'd be a mom-&-pop shop or specialty shop thing
Are the 2000s mustangs getting more expensive? The new edge ones,
I’ve seen a few not much to constitute interest
That svt cobra tho
Or third depending on your opinion of the foxbody platform
Classic 90s car. I love em
The 80s stangs got their asses whooped by the Firebird and Camaro
I’m guessing you don’t like the new dark horse look
I love the look of the dark horse
The front end?
I've seen multiple, and not because I work at a Ford dealership
We have one sitting out front and one in the showroom
Looks very good in white imo
I mean it has the black hood and bumper decals
I'd definitely consider a dark horse for a new sports car
What constitutes a sports or a muscle car now lol
If you can find evidence that the mustang isn't a sports car...
I have a strange love for the 2000s mustangs
I like the facelifted S197s
They look good yeah
The late 00s and early 10s ones
Partially because of the NFS movie I won't lie, but I do just like how they look regardless
Too bad you won't be able to buy a replica of that car, probably ever
The reason I love the early 2000s challengers is because of walking dead
Well that and breaking bad
Or build one yourself
Which is what you'd have to do even if it was possible to do in the first place, which is not
Parts are scarce?
Non-existent
The people who made the bodywork destroyed the molds
You'd have to make it yourself
Sounds like fab work worth weeks
The car is in NFS rivals so you could, in theory, use that game's 3D model for it, but I don't know if it's an exact recreation in-game
The wheels were also custom Forgiotos, so
Unless you can somehow get permission to laser scan the real car (which does still exist) from the owner
Yeah sounds miserable finding a real car with the owner willing to let ya
The owner is a collector and seems to be a car guy so
And he bought the car in a Charity auction so there's a chance he isn't a prick
Good
The performance modifications would be a... unique challenge though
And it did have them; some of them anyway
My favorite thing about older mustangs is the body lines
@jagged sentinel considering you're a ford guy
would you rather the Camaro SS 1LE or the comparable S650 mustang
Probably the GT performance pack, not quite the dark horse
Did you say Camaro
yes, the Chevrolet Camaro SS
Woah there buckaroo
6th gen Camaro, same-year mustang? Camaro every time
Can I get uhhhhhhhhhh.. one 1969 COPO Camaro 9561
I'm sorry if I accused you of anything
I'd still probably pick a low mileage late-production Camaro over an S650 GT performance pack
Now what if it was a high mileage saleen S281
two YouTubers i watch regularly (savagegeese and TheTopher) both got SS 1LEs and it made me love it even more than I thought I did
I'll probably sit in one and realize why it was discontinued
Probably an exaggeration
Also, you'll still only get me with the gen 1s
Drive one and you might
I mean the visibility
Oh yeah
Blind-spot sensors would be mandatory for me if I were to get a 5th or 6th gen
way too good and GM couldn't handle making good products?
Or at the very least a blind-spot mirror
I don't know which one I'd trust more tbh
It was too expensive for its own good
Which is why gen 1s are better
My ideal car would be the 2SS for this very reason
1LE package would be a nice to have, makes the car look better but I don't think I would track it
Let's not pretend they aren't ludicrously expensive now too
I'd still take a 1969 Z/28 over anything past an early gen 5
Gen 4s can go back to the lake like the catfish they are
LMAO
The 5th gen ZL1 is one of my dream cars
I like how it looks more than the 5th gen Z/28
1969 ANYTHING will still be the best looking Camaro
6th gen ZL1 takes the cake for me
That just looks like a base Camaro with a giant hood intake
I like the wheels
Because, exterior wise, that's what it is really
hot take but I prefer the 6th gen facelift over the pre facelift (we do NOT talk about 2019)
I agree for the regular camaros but I am glad they kept the old front end for the ZL1
Most of the bodywork was kept I believe, the taillights did change though
What do you think about the taillights of the 5th gen
The early taillights
a classic
I think that's what they're going for
The results are... interesting to say the least
Not breathtakingly pretty but not desperately ugly either
Just... a little strange
That said, I like them over the refreshed 5th gen taillights, and I couldn't tell you why
Personally I don't like the extremely old looking steering wheel on the early 5th gens
Yeah same
is that really a hot take though
i always felt the 2018 facelift was done for the sake of it being done
I meant 2020+ is better than 2016-2018
This guy failed to cross a curb because he didn't do what I teach other people

If a wheel starts spinning while attempting to climb a curb, do these:
- Immediately go full throttle by stepping on the throttle pedal to the deepest
- Never let go of the throttle pedal until the vehicle climbs
- When the vehicle climbs, let go of the pedal

I, too, love burning the clutch and bending old valves

smells like fried fish
...interesting

The 79.95m/ 262.3ft Faith, launched as Project 714 by Feadship on 23 February, left their shipyard in Aalsmeer for Rotterdam today. This yacht most likely replaced the 96.55m/ 316.9ft 2016 delivered Faith which was sold in 2021 and which was supposed to be owned by Canadian businessman Lawrence Stroll.
Of course we followed the transport which...

Thanks man🙏
why do deluxos not spaw on bail office missions>
such a nice car
Cheers its dads new shell we been working on
Red ones my one

💀
"just" 80 miles of driving. Surprised it only lost that much value /j
At least it didn't get stolen though
yet*
rlly nice bro keep up the good work
Thanks bro💪 cant wait till mines done too haha just needs a clutch n she should drive but i needa fullcage n shit before i can drift it
It’s a fucking dodge it’s gonna lose most of its value once a single wheel is off the lot
😂
Ratio 85:15
all front grip is mechanical, all rear grip is downforce. so totally great at drifting right
If you are drifting without a massive wing are you even in the crew?
Probably just a silly nobody, absolutely wingless

extra roll cage protection?
space frame, roll cage, same diff
bro IS build different
A death trap, I wonder wouldn’t the metal tubes just impale you in a rear crash
idk if im missing a joke, but i was just equivocating a space frame chassis to a roll cage. "space frame, roll cage, same difference" 💀
wut..
i was too busy making memes in my head about it going over speed bumps that I didn't even bat an eye to the doors

A lot of cars are tube chassis

I didnt notice that
very good design, especially shes a V8
LMAO
almost all of the muscle cars modified like that are V6s or the 4 cylinder models
Fair
Is there a 4cylinder muscle car?
No, "4-cylinder muscle car" is an oxymoron
A V8 is the single most significant defining feature of a muscle car
Anything with a 4 cylinder is either a sports car or an eco box
Muscle typically implies big ahh engine
A muscle car without a V8 isn't a muscle car but a pony car without a V8 is still a pony car
That may be a controversial opinion
Pony is usually an inline 6 with a shorter back
Or a turbo 4 banger more recently
Olympus has fallen
I'd still pick the 2.3 Turbo in a mustang over a V6 mustang
It made more power than the V6 and was lighter
Obviously I'd still pick a V8 no question about it
Side note: the V6 the mustang almost sounds like a GTR with a high flow exhaust

TeaTime
But the current cars are not “muscle”
I mean they are but aren’t at the same time
I concur but the muscle car is dead so pony car and muscle car are now used interchangeably
I don't agree with it but that's what everyone does so I comply anyway
The mustang and its competitors never were muscle cars
That’s so weird to me coz all the cars that i thought were muscle turned out to be pony cars
I learned that couple years back
A surprising amount of people don't make the connection between "pony car" and the mustang
Some mustang models can be classified as muscle in terms of looks
just you wait as someone comes out with a 8 liter 4 cylinder
Eh, it ain't about looks
Yeah you’re right
The new charger would’ve been the most accurate modern muscle car just if it was a v8
Wow I remember that
Spotted this today
Wonder how it would look with some tire shine
nice car you got there
Nice car but why black rims 🙈
black and yellow
Why not
Black is the worst rim color imo
What would you have picked
Nah that’s any bright color rim..
Most companies only offer wheels in grayscale colors for a reason
Unless the rims color is to accent the body color
less maintenance
Cheaper
cheaper
yes
SAVE EVERY PENNY
It's cheaper and people just don't want colored wheels
tell that to Bugatti
The only acceptable colored rim is a bronze ish gold on white
Chrome, silver or grey probably
And I'm not just talking about regular car companies, I mean everything from Dacia to Chevrolet to fking Koenigsegg; grayscale colors are far and away the most popular
cinema
Well Bugatti is like 1 % person cars
That's what a wheel should do imo
count me in
Either compliment the color of the car or contrast it in a clean way
Much better than black rims
That's not bad but I'd still have picked black rims
Oh lord what id give for those

Flat black rims look good on performance cars
black steelie
All of Ford's high-dollar cars had carbon fiber as an option
this
"Brake cooling? What the fuck is that?" Ahh wheel
French aah wheel lol
for the wheek
Watch that video of the Bugatti Chiron's brakes
where
Let me guess problems with brake cooling?
Those would probably either melt or explode if they didn't have adequate cooling
I'm not falling for that
Fucking French engineers..
everything in that car would melt or explode
overengineered
They didn't do anything distinctly wrong, that's not what I'm saying
The brakes on that car are a marvel
I mock the French any time I can
Underneath it's German, so
Bugatti has a pretty unique relationship with Germany and France
I don't think VW is involved in making the car
The French don't make good cars
This one is special
French make goofy ahh cars
The Veyron and the Chiron have VW parts scattered across the car
Who do you think funded it man
