Did Camaros iroc Z have a competitive game against a GNX
No
Nothing else from America did but the Corvette
I love the look of a classic iroc
The tuning by MCLAREN made sure of that
Yes, that McLaren
Did corvette take inspiration from Ferrari back then?
GM literally made bumper sticker for the GNX that said 'we brake for corvettes'
I'm not sure but I don't think so, mentally comparing the C4 to the 512TR
The C4 ZR1 actually put up a fight against Ferrari and Porsche during its time but thats another conversation
Like the c8 now.. is just an American Ferrari
It was the first time I think the vette gave Europe a fight
It was what the Father of the Corvette wanted from the moment he joined the Corvette project
If you badged the c8 with Ferrari shit. You’d be convinced
Especially with the track oriented ones
GM copied Ferrari for the engine
They outright said so
They didn't admit to copying
I should clarify
They took inspiration
Tell me that this isn’t a near perfect Ferrari job on a c8
And I'm not being facetious when I say that, that is what actually happened
Eh
It looks too cheap
All you need the fancy wheels

Wheels can make a cheap car go from 3 to 10
They can also add nothing to the look if they aren't the right choice
Cough cough 2000s f&F car
Steelies on a Lambo ruin the look but the right set of high-end wheels can perfect it
Just saying poor man’s “executives “ car
Just imagine dodge made an “executive” trim level on the charger SXT or GT trim level
I don't really think much of the "executive" style
They did
It's called the Chrysler 300
I'm not, that just doesn't cross my mind as an executive car
Same deal with the CTS-V
Base CTS? Executive car
CTS-V? Wealthy car enthusiast or car addict young adult car (salvage title)
Or poor car enthusiasts
A decade later yeah
Can be said about challenger hellcat owners to
CTS-V with different color fenders and one or both of the running lights out
I specifically say hellcat because the average yobbo isn’t gonna drive a demon .
You don't say
I want a demon for the exact reason, they are cool., cost more then my firearm collection and my car collection
Man you really like the demon
If you want to show off a piece of modern American muscle yes
The crate engine by it’s self costs as much as a sedan
I wonder what it would take to make a engine block into a coffee table
Cool project
What block?
A big block ?
An engine block
I’d love to make a coffee table out of an old big block
There’s plenty of inspiration for ya on Google
A dead engine with some glass
I oversimplified it there
Ferrari sells one
Absolutely not lmao
I want a hemi engine table
But that’s cheap at a salvage yard
It would be cheaper to make it yourself with a real Ferrari v12
You mean a wrecker Ferrari?
A working 6.0 or 6.5 Ferrari v12 can't be more than like $100,000-$150,000
So one that is deassembled would be a lot cheaper
You could probably make a better table than the Sotheby's one for less than 50k
Lamborghinis Aventador engine is like $85,000
I can get a cheap fucking 6.2 L hemi v8
Because they were mass produced
Out of a wrecked out hellcat and make a kicksss coffee table
If you can find someone selling just selling the bare block
V12s from Italian exotics are a whole different ballgame
I think an older one would look nicer
I don’t follow exotics as I can’t afford one
Like late 60's early 70's
With the carburetor as the center table stand?
Sure lol
It would be peak if you used like an LS9 or LSA as the main block and have the supercharger sticking through the center of the table
Oh hell yeah and with a lamp or light source welded on to the super charger?
So I can drink my monsters in an aesthetic environment
Lighting isn't something I thought of
Cool lighting in an orange hue
Perhaps in the firing order of said engine
So the lights periodically come on and off
Add some more and you have a whole 812
Normal 812's are like $400,000-$600,000
Shit I would buy if I won the lottery
Holy shit looks like a fun car
Didnt stradman sell his for 190k?
Nvm
They can get lower but 190k might mean something is wrong with it
The lowest you see clean ones go maybe because they are old or high milage is like $280k
theres this american car from the 90s that has its whole grille light up, like a buick or something, a sedan i think, its shape is late boxy early bubble shaped car
someone help pls
this?
This totally won't exacerbate the already ridiculous fire issues that Chinese EVs are experiencing in China
Now put a predator 212 on it
Where is your engine
that's the freedom of choice, baby
we have an old generator with a 10HP motor on it, and with just a new intake and exhaust, I could pop it onto a kart. That's my eventual plan, anyway
On atv?
a go kart
Nice
I wish I had the time, money and space for a project
Did I also forget, the experience, tools and parts availability

Best I can do is an oil change and some electrical work
people keep saying the beetle is the simplest one to start learning hands on
kinda tempting, theyre not expensive
That totally won’t cause Chinese EVs to have a worse rep then they already have
You'll find them in every corner of every country on this planet

ze blutchut device is reedy to pear
Dont have one
With a shitty battery low voice too!
F40
i don't think that i have seen an SLR Stirling Moss in red before
i guess thats a wrap or soemthing because the spoiler isnt in the same colour
collection of former king of jordan
Damn, I guess him selling all those sneakers really paid off... go Bulls!

Hopefully one day they will make a big museam of the Sultan of Brunei's collection
The amount of duplicates of extremely rare cars and one offs he has is egregious
I hope most of them are maintained enough to still run

Most of them are several pounds heavier with dust
And mold
Hey do any of you know about the manual transmission without a clutch pedal in some cars? Interesting stuff.
Hyundai did a car with one
So an automated manual?
It’s a IMT
Anything with an I infront of it for Hyundai is marketing it's not a real term
They call their cvt's ivt's or some dumb stuff like that
How many decades ago did they do it?
Hyundai venue S
It would be a waste of time and money if it's a recent thing
Dual clutches are faster in every way imaginable for shifting
That's unfortunately why most supercars aren't offered in manual anymore
It's not worth making a slower car to most manufacturers
Not sure if the demons came with manual trim levels.
I’d love to see a demon swapped with a hellcat Manual
Where did you see this? Was it an automated manual or something else because I wonder why they would even offer such a thing
Those were on smart cars over 20 years ago and they sucked
With how mass produced all the good components are I'm surprised they still use things like a 1.1l
Maybe it is for importing and taxes, since india sucks at both
Idk what is cool about it
For those who don’t know manual but want to feel like their driving manual
It's a manual without the manual essentially
It wouldn't feel like a manual
It is shifting for you still
I like the shifting noises :3
Speaking of Hyundai, in what world is anyone payimg $70,000 for this thing
No because it's not faster on the drag strip and the drag strip is the demon's entire existence
What in the god damn..
Your paying 70k which is sports car money for a shitty ionic
Also the Demon has one of the best launch control systems in the industry and a manual would severely hamper the effectiveness of launch control
Idk the novelty of a manual transmission demon
The Demon was built to be fast in the quarter mile
That's it
It is true. Best looking challenger model imo too
I wish the challenger rts didn’t come with those grill boxes
I love that flat grill with an rt badge
It's not like they look all that different
It’s the minor things really
Like...the hood?
Everything that made the demon unique eventually trickled down the SRT line
The grill.. the body kit.. the intake lights
One of the "intake lights" goes nowhere but that's besides the point
I think that eventually trickled down to the higher end challenger models too
I hate how the AWD didn’t go up in the trim levels
The police model of the charger has a chance for v8 AWD
For a short time the previous generation 4-door charger had an R/T AWD version available
SRT8 never got it though
boy am I not in a good mood today
I do like how ram is bringing back the 5.7
It'll still probably be underpowered
Ram should put the 6.2 hemi into the trucks
Wait till you find out what the TRX is
It’s 100k..

You think the average American can afford it?
It's still going to be insanely expensive if they put a supercharged motor in a truck
It is cool granted.
Not to mention maintenance and fuel economy, which, believe it or not, is a concern
And I kinda want one
I almost didn't notice/s
The next step down from that is the 6.4/392, which they did put in the 2500
I'm curious how the 6.2 would do without a supercharger
Would it sound half as cool?
It would just sound like dodge's other performance V8s
No super charger noises tho
Yeah that's what I mean
Probably closer to scat pack
I'm just curious how much better the fuel economy would be and if maintenance or component service life would be affected by the lack of forced induction
Since it was engineered specifically with forced induction in mind
It would probably get similar performance to the scat pack tbh
Would it get worse performance because of the heavy truck ?
I mean just the engine itself
Or the hellephant
Honestly I don't think using a performance motor like the 6.2, supercharger or not, in a utility application like a truck is the best idea
The 6.4 in the trucks and the 6.4 in the sports cars are built a bit differently iirc
What car would benefit in your opinion from the 6.2 outside the obvious
Nothing that doesn't already have it as an option tbh
I want a v10 challenger
Idk if the viper v10 would fit in to a challenger without structural fabrication
With how long the front end of the viper always has been, somehow I doubt it
Just a fucky idea
Or funny idea putting a small inline in a challenger
Seeing it output 100 hp lol
How small
Sick
must be an irritating issue if you bought it up for the second time
Vancouver Canada
Look
I am fully convinced you work for Stellantis or one of their brands
ah okay 😅
At that point just own a viper
Idk the novelty of a v10 challenger is appealing
The srt10 ram is the closest thing to a challenger v10
I feel like they made a v10 Challenger at one small point
Oh they only made 70 of them and they aren't road legal
Rip
Challenger SRT10
Many Filipinos I know are amazed with Tesla, but afaik, Tesla cars have shit quality.
I'd still choose a Merc over Tesla though
I’d still do that.. for different reasons
I don’t like euro cars as much( exceptions to that) but I hate EVs. I don’t got many charging stations near me or around to justify the price
And Tesla invades privacy
https://www.reuters.com/technology/tesla-workers-shared-sensitive-images-recorded-by-customer-cars-2023-04-06/
I'd stick with hybrids too
Nissan has a hybrid which has an engine with the only purpose to charge the battery
You don’t buy a hemi for it’s fucking fuel efficiency
I would buy a Challenger if it's not overpriced here
You buy a Cadillac for a lack of fuel efficiency and luxary
It costs $78,304.16 here and it's just the basic
Oh, it's GT 3.6L V6 AT
Ok if AWD then ish no
RWD
You can get a police charger v8 AWD for 10 12 k
The RT Scratpack costs $95,743.84 here
Yeah fucking problems longer then a TOS but still
The SRT8 Hellcat Widebody Supercharged variant costs $100,801.35
I'm sure it's overpriced by US and Canadian standards
Wow
The cost of an SXT is 30k and rts tend to be around 40k
And state dependent.. gas guzzler tax
A 2025 Dodge Charger 6.4L HEMI V8 R/T Scatpack widebody also costs $100.8k here
😭
Kinda accurate here too but more so 70k
Plus dealer mark ups
Dealers markup the demons at dealers more
Like 100k msrp going to 130-140k
Financing kills you in the US kills owners
Most likely because dealers get their units at prices lower than the SRPs which they don't say how much
People with sub prime loans get shit
Meh, that's why car dealers prefer loan buyers because they earn through interests
Almost double the cost in interest
Car sales agents I met often lose enthusiasm when I say that I would probably buy through cash payment, not financing
Considering dodges reputation most city folk got sub prime lol
Idk how popular Dodge is there, but here, buying a Dodge is already like buying an Audi or BMW
On other hand, what if we buy a Jaguar or Audi for Uber?
Good thing there's Lyft
Seriously if you want to reduce car waste use former cop cars
Make them up to be more comfy sure
Hell yeah
I heard that the US Army already sell those through auctions
Yeah here in the US police cars are surplus too
Even older chargers / modern
That's such a dumb odd rule
That has to be taxi lobbying idk what else would cause that rule to exist
I see a shit ton of airport taxis and cab services use decommissioned cop cars
All my homies taxi lobbying
Yes, but keep in mind that "military grade" means different things in the military world and civilian world
"military grade" in the military world simply means "it works"
New Porsche Boxster 718 Hybride 2026
It would also reduce car waste by a lot
It would end cars that would be usable outside the emergency area going to the wreckers
Third-party render btw
That being said, it's not far off
I couldn't find any photos with good clarity without an obnoxious watermark so sorry about that
A shame it's supposedly going to be electric
yes it will be electric, that's what it says on the site
trens
don't worry, It is recognizable by the sun even though it is black 😄
Try not to make the next gen of a car worse
Change your car with Carwow: https://bit.ly/Change-Your-Car-0202
It’s time for a BMW M5 head-to-head!
We’ve got Mat in the all-new BMW M5, and he’s going up against the two previous generations - the F90 and F10! The all-new G90 has come under a bit of criticism for its weight, but will that prove decisive? Let’s take a closer look at the sta...
||"Moral of the story: Get you an F90 Competition and find that tune!" -lol||
it's the only m5 worth buying in that lineup anyways
the f10 is a nightmare to buy used, and we don't talk about the g90
But the $20k price tag next to an F10 for sale keeps flirting with me
20k price tag, 35k price bill to replace the s63b44t0 before labour for installation
I want an m6 if I’m gonna buy bmw
i drove a crown vic for a while, i did doordash though LOL i simply could not afford the gas that thing hogged
literal alcoholic of a car. that mileage was abysmal but DAMN was it fun as fuck to drive
i miss it dearly some days
That mule car looks way too 911'y
Why would they do that
Define bulletproof
Doesnt break
Bulletproof as in impossible to kill with poor habits or literally bulletproof
Ok
The body is body on frame, which means it's durable
And crown vics have a reputation for that
what about the drivetrain
And the engine, while having a bad rep in just about every other vehicle it's been put in, is weirdly quite reliable in vics and other panther bodies
The diff is its weak point though, they were limited to like 140 mph iirc because the differential would explode past a certain speed
standard ford stuff
Driveshaft or diff, one of the two I can't remember
I haven't really heard much about the gearbox, which, in a car that's known for being a cheap shitbox nowadays (at least the P71 interceptors), isn't a bad thing
I think it's a 4-speed heavy-duty sludgebox
I want an AWD charger it’s cool and n shit
The F90
Though i kinda like the pre-LCI one a bit more
which one would you rather
Sometimes, I'm thinking if I should buy a Subaru. Friend of mine said that one common issue with Subaru cars is aircon breaking easily, at least in Philippines
depends on what suburu you buy.
and the year
fuck it buy the GTR, the prices will go up unlike the bus which starts depreciating the moment you buy it lol
besides you get to own the most overrated jay dee emm car ever
Eh the Supra is probably more.
Idk GTR and Supra kids are in the same boat
The supra is more misunderstood than overrated tbh
The GTRs get the attention the NSX deserves
I love NSXs
I like 1990s nsxs
The first gen NSX is one of the best enthusiast cars ever made
Which one
It's stayed true to what it was, it just wasn't as unique and novel a concept as it was back then
22 highway 21 city
The city number being so close to the highway number is what stands out
Too bad it costs so much
Thanks no doubt to its hybrid system
it costs as much as a dodge demon
Man you really like that car
Yeah.. ever since I got to test drive one I want one
Idk if you ever been in an 800 hp beast with a comfortable interior
I know what a Challenger's interior looks like
I ripped a demon across the Vegas speedway
And I think it goes without saying that the R8's interior is nicer
Especially because the demon is a little lighter on creature comforts than the other Challengers
And also because it's a dodge but that's implied
Well I never been in an Audi lol or any other foreign car
It was the first and only foreign car I think I've ever driven
The dodge at the track had the red and black interior color
And it remains one of the highlights of the past 5 years of my life
Same with the R8 I was in
Damn what year?
Black and grey with red stitching
2019 iirc
It was the R8 performance plus or some shit
I want to test drive an bmw m6
You wouldn't believe how easy that car is to drive
One of the few German cars I like is a bmw
It may have been arrogant to do but I kinda stopped listening to my instructor halfway through my track time
Ha. My instructor in the demon told me to gun it
So did mine
He might or might not of told me to do a burn out in
But he was giving me pointers on driving lines and stuff but once I knew the track I didn't really need them because of how easy the thing was to drive
It's difficult to describe
I did pay attention for braking zones and other cars though, because I wasn't the only one on track
I wanna do that again but I wanna drive either a Porsche GT3RS or the mustang GT500
Or maybe the red-eye that they have but I like the idea of a car that can perform in the corners too
I want to drive a ford gt lol
Sound is high on my priority list, and the 2nd gen GT doesn't do that for me
Never actually test drove a Lamborghini before in my time in Vegas it’s been muscle cars
Part of why the R8 was so awesome to drive, I love the sound of that V10, more than the Aventador
Always have
Honestly I think the GT3RS would be my next choice, I wanna hear that NA Flat 6 scream
I love the engine notes of an m6 v10
The 2010 one had a v10
Yeah the one after that (and the one I think of when I hear m6) has a V8
And it's successor has a V8 too
Btw how can you get your car to pop n bang like those race / rally cars?
Overrun
Can a 5.7 hemi be tuned to make those noises ?
Isn’t it the whistling noises ?
Yes
Never heard a challenger turbo charged
Was it first or 2nd gen?
Because the 5.7s and especially 6.4s aren't well-suited for forced induction
What’s your favorite performance cars?
Camaro ZL1, R8, Mustang GT350R, maybe an R35 GTR for dailyable (ish) performance cars
Actually idk if I'd daily a G5350
Not really
Scat pack?
Sports car territory
The 5.7 is just underpowered for a sports car engine
Especially in a car that weighs as much as a challenger
Ja gt?

Huh?
Awd gt is fucking awesome
What AWD GT
Challenger
Giving me ideas I shouldn’t have mate.. rally modded challenger
You said it not me
Raid spec challenger
Someone's probably already done it anyway
Yes. Strip the interior out to bare minimum of what’s safety..
Which is...most of the dashboard
Airbags
Though if you're rallying airbags will literally just make things worse
I hate taking out air bags
So you may as well remove them, in which case say goodbye to road use
Yep if I do want a rally car for weekends..
You'd need a truck and trailer too
A ranch too
If you plan on modifying it in such a way that prohibits road use
Like removing airbags
Ram ranch

Do you gents got any obscure cars you like?
TVR Cerbera Speed 12
That is the very last thing I expected you to like
It’s a decent French car.
Delta integrale
French cars are crap
But it’s not obscure enough
Even the French will say that
I love me old datsun shit boxes
Except for a certain brand
Cough cough Nissan Cherry
With a certain price tag
Yeah except those guys
I know that.. It’s the only French car that looks good
It looks so stupid lol
Looks like a civic got a rear job
From an image
I remember this from underground 2
Datsun 100A another car the NA market never got
It’s a Nissan cherry yeah
But holy fuck it’s in my summer car so I like it
I guess an obscure car that I like the Mercedes 190E Evo II
It's a homologation special for the DTM series
Damn
Sexy
It looks like something AMG would have made were they officially part of Mercedes back then
Looks like a rich daddy’s boy modded their daddy’s merc
I prefer the hammer over it but both are great
Hammer is cool too
Swedish brick
The better lada
Is the noble M600 considered obscure
The lada itself was just fiat car re branded
Id say yeah barely anyone knows it
Among car enthusiasts it's a more well-known vehicle, because that's who it was made for
The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante is a favorite of mine too, especially because of how it sounds
Top gear did a segment on it and it's probably one of the best made segments in the entire top gear catalogue
Lancia is really only well known for rally cars
Rally cars from 30-50 years ago yeah
Yeah good rally cars
They are a joke now compared to back then
"good" is undercutting it but point taken
Toyota
Mitsubishi, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Fiat, Toyota, Audi, Citroen off the top of my head
Actually Mitsubishi themselves aren't officially in the WRC anymore
No
that VW polo r was cool
You continue to surprise me
I know some European cars..
I really like the rally raid peugot 3008
Too bad it was a dkr only thing
Same with a lot of the DKR versions of cars
Trucks are my favorite class in Dakar, especially because due to the story of how that class came to be
What’s your favorite race truck?
Kamaz have been dominating that class for years so
We are talking about different classes
Not in Dakar
What the difference?
I believe these are in the Cars class
This is what the vehicles in the Trucks class look like
Absolute monsters purpose built for Dakar
How big of engine
13 liter Turbo Diesel I6
They can supposedly hit 137 miles an hour
On sand
Totally street legal !
But they're limited by regulation to 100
Most of the truck is hollow
The space behind the cab is mostly scaffolding and spare parts
Is it mid engine?
Yes
Loud fucker?
It was never intended for road use, in case that wasn't insultingly obvious
Do you like motorcycle in Dakar?
Meh
It’s a long dirt bike road
If they're on a road at all and not just traces on sand
I don't share the affinity for motorcycles
I do sorta. I like Harley’s
Harley-Davidson is a stagnant brand and the stereotypes their riders have don't help
No offense
I’m a huge Indian fan too
My Grandpa on my mom's side had a Harley
Damn
My use of past tense probably indicates his current state
Yeah most motorcycle drivers have that exact problem
He didn't die in a crash
Or was injured in a crash?
Hmm sorry for ya loss
Thanks
My old friend.. he got into a moped accident in school so he didn’t drive one after
I know mopeds the brunt of jokes by motorcycle riders
One of my dad's best friends died in a horrific way in a motorcycle crash, which is why he doesn't like them and part of the reason I don't either
I do own a dirt bike tho
Dirt bikes are different to me
That’s how I learned to ride
Since the only person responsible for injuries sustained when riding a dirtbike is usually yourself, which isn't the case for road bikes
I did fuck up my favorite jacket lol
I can tell you, wiping out in muddy weather isn’t fun
You don't say
Have experience on a dirt bike?
Hiking in mud is also unpleasant as it happens
Those are my riding boots in a car/ dirt bike
I don't know if I'd rather hike/backpack in mud or on shale
I hate hiking in December in my state
I wanna go backpacking again, it was challenging but I enjoyed it
Hiking in the cold would probably suck more than hiking in the peak of summer in west bumfuck new Mexico
Soo I gotta ask. What was the first car you had?
2003 F150
It had (or maybe it didn't, I couldn't tell) a cylinder 5 misfire the entire time we had it
Average ford truck things
Other than a fucking wheel coming off down the road it was perfectly reliable
The wiring harness was done in a DIY fashion
It also had a code for a driver's side rear window motor fault
Just like my second car
(It was a single cab with no power windows)
The only powered thing in it was a radio and air conditioning
It also had a lift and bigger tires
Lemme see if I have a photo
Ah nice
It was a farm truck from Arkansas with 200k on it when we got it
Remarkably it was almost rust-free
The gas mileage was fucking abysmal
It was a V6 with an X-pipe for some reason
Ha like any ford
I want a ford excursion
yes
Dayum that’s clean
It’s a nice truck
Easy there
You'll be burning through catalytic converters faster doing that
Mufflers too
My mistake
I don't like straight pipes most of the time
I want a straight pipe after hearing a hellcats with no muffler / straight pipe
Hellcats are loud. I want it louder
Gunshot range
Seriously hellcats get up gun shot range in decibels
I grew out of the I-"need"-it-as-loud-as-possible thing
Coyotes make hellcats sound quiet
What decibel level?

Never cared enough to look
It's not worth the trouble anyways, you can have a good sounding car and not piss off everyone around you
Including police
I want loud cuz if I have hellcat I’m not gonna make it any less quiet
They're already loud enough and honestly don't sound much better with straight pipes
My friend has a straight piped merc and it’s loud
Good for him
Gets my mind wandering.. would a demon with straight pipes be louder.. then a hellcat?
I was wondering when the demon was going to be mentioned
But probably not as it's mostly the same motor with a bigger blower and some tweaks
Yeah.. sounds fun
Debatable
reading the constant loop of "yeah, this sucks btw, but I want it" is taxing on my mind
Lol
Give me an idea and I’ll dwell on it
Yo can someone help me rq I just got the game
Proper exhaust kit

Only on my daily eco cruiser sorry
Just for the record, I like loud cars as much as the next car guy, but there's a limit to what what I would consider reasonable
Like casual loud?
Not straight pipe loud
Not rally/ race car loud
Not wake-up-everyone-in-earshot loud
Somewhere in the middle of straight pipe and stock levels of volume
Those have mufflers
Some…
Most hardcore Harley riders take em out
Part of the reason they get a bad rep
Obnoxiously loud motorcycle with no bite to match the bark
Gigantic motors for a motorcycle and yet they have ridiculously low compression and no power
Sounds like a Harley
Harley is actively trying to change their age demographic, too
But they're still stuck with the douchebag biker gang and boomer stereotypes
They haven't made a proper sports bike in decades
I really am curious what they'd come up with if they decided to make a proper crotch rocket
Instead of just a smaller sportier version of their cruisers or cafe racer type bikes, or bikes that look like bikes they made half a century ago
Street glides are what everyone thinks of when someone says Harley Davidson
And that's the problem Harley Davidson seems to be having with itself
Harley is having a mid life crisis
Indian is doing what Harley-Davidson is trying to do, and doing it better than Harley Davidson ever will in due time
Doesn’t Indian have more classic offerings?
They're still making bikes
I want one like this Indian scout
Also define classic offering
From what the Internet is telling me, Indian bikes tend to have more modernized technology and internals to Harleys
I don't know any bikers, plus I like to formulate my own opinion on everything, regardless of how much I know about the subject 🤓
Fuel injection is just...better
But carbureted feels classic
Because it is
The only benefit carbs have nowadays is that they are cheaper and easier to work on
Fuel injection does virtually everything else better than carburators
Any benefits to carbureted cars instead of fuel injection?
They're easier to work on and cheaper to replace
...
Yeah
And are kinda cool
I love older cars
I like em too
Despite what I may have led you to believe from previous statements
Depends on what you define as classic
I classify it as 20 years or older
I say 40 years old defines a classic car
Isn’t that vintage or is classic just a name all term for that?
Yeah
Vintage to me is 65-70 years old and older
I swear my man 90s cars are being labeled classics to me
Legally they can be
But registering it as a classic car restricts its usability severely
25
Do you find it funny a civic from the 90s could be classic lol
It's funny to think about
The ones that haven’t been taken to the axe block of JDM
What car do think would be funny to consider a classic?
The Pontiac Aztec
God such a dumb car
i'd say celicas, but if you actually saw the first generation of celica you'd start drooling
i know i do
Looks like a Japanese mustang body lol
so lovely
Was that the trend of that era?
yeah
Copying mustang body’s
There was an odd trend of companies copying whatever mustang was like 5 years old at the time
because the mustang was a huge success
For better or for worse, the mustang is an icon
it wasn't only japanese companies
the camaro was originally an answer to the mustang too
Idk how to feel bout the first gen gtr.
It looks cool but so strange
Looks like less bricky Volvo 240
As was the challenger
Not many people understand that, weirdly
Then wasn’t the charger the first competition?
No, because the charger was older than the mustang and in a different segment of the market
I’ve seen the first gen charger
There was no competition for the mustang when it was released
IT IS WIERD
It created the pony car segment
What’s the weirdest car created in competition to another?
Like first gen model Japanese celica was just a mustang looking ass car.
The very first Lamborghini
early japanese cars looking like muscle cars is not weird, considering the success of the mustang and other american muscle cars it was actually very expected
It’s got that fucking cat eye style headlights
Idk that’s how I see the headlight design
I'd argue that the mustang of ye old days should be called a pony car
stop arguing i'm right 🔫
You absolutely are
😎
idk i could give a rats ass about muscle cars, so the early japanese cars are the closest thing to caring about them as i can get
If a classic mustang is pony car.. then what is a classic challenger?
"nobody intelligent admits that they like muscle cars. But deep down... Well all do"
A pony car
true
Because it was Chrysler's answer to the mustang and Camaro
Remember who said that
Clarkson, actually
of course
because clarkson would say "nobody wants to admit it but they love them" but hammond would say "everybody loves them"
Hammond openly admits to loving muscle cars
I remember watching the top gear episode on Columbia lol
Lmao
ye
And America loves him for it in return
I fucking remember how clarkson just told the few to fuck off out of the town
It’s the grand tour
It's fairly obvious that he has an affinity for the mustang if you watch his YouTube channel
Multiple times, might I add
across multiple decades
And he also said that, during the Detroit episode (my personal favorite, clearly) that he'd keep the mustang Clarkson drove if given a choice between the three
The RTR spec 3 is badass man
i mean among the other two cars they had, i'd go with that too
What’s your favorite clip from fucking top gear?
Initially my first choice was the Camaro but I find myself drawn to the mustang more as time passes
the challenger that hammond couldn't drag, and john scumbag hennessy's camaro
Jeremy is in Italy to celebrate the return of the bespoke car building company Touring, with their latest product a modified Alfa Romeo 8C. But has it worked? Clip taken from series 21 episode 4.

No question about it
Probably the best-made segment they've ever done
I love the compilation of Jeremy and the boys shitting on the juke
That’s my favorite bit
My favorite segment..
they should redesign the charger chassis instead of stuffing a v8 in there
fucking thing is too heavy without an engine, let alone with the hurricane, let alone with a hemi
imagine making a worse challenger
and then making it more expensive
no one but stellantis
Simple solution if you want a charger hellcat, get a crown Victoria, supercharge it, it’s lighter and better looking
And cheaper
Speaking of classic, isn't there a classic Plymouth Superbird muscle car too?

There are a lot of classic muscle cars
I want Dom Toretto's car at Tokyo Drift
Apparently they're selling the top-of-the-line EV Daytona charger for low 30s
and I STILL wouldn't justify the price tbh
It’s a genius and cheap idea
Same engine koenigsegg used in some of their cars
There are a few things between a basic 2-valve in a panther body and a fucking Koenigsegg motor
They also buy crate motors, which are not tuned or built specifically for a given vehicle, which isn't the case for motors that come in cars🤓
Koenigsegg themselves also made dramatic improvements to the engine itself
I know this is probably satire but I'm too sleep deprived to not say anything, plus I'm also just an ass

bikini bottom tandem course
The first production car had a crown Victoria V8 because they needed it desperately then it was tuned but was originally from a crown vic
Engine roots is a funny way of saying they just took the lower portion of the block and improved everything imaginable from there
Koenigsegg is an engineering company at heart, so building off of an existing engine, and making it their own when they were new was a good way to start
Engine roots
The block itself is probably a forged one, too
Ok maybe not the block but a lot of the components were likely forged
As pushing a crown Vic motor to make 655 horsepower with stock internals would result in...
Rapid and unscheduled kinetic disassembly
spontaneous undesirable combustion
Or, more ideally, whatever component fails from the boost first
As the CC8S had not one but two superchargers
it would cause a major compromise in the reliability record of the motor vehicle
And if, by some miracle, the engine can deliver that power into the transmission without such an event, the transmission may experience a thermal reconfiguration event in short order
17 pounds of boost apparently
Koenigsegg says 1.2 bar
if they used ford engines, they'll end up ford
found on road dead
You beat me to it
Damnit
I drive a Ford and work at a Ford dealership I'm supposed to be the Ford hater here
Touché
This sounds beautiful
I think the only similar between the crown vic and koenigsegg is the engine shape
Even that...
Consider that it's a supercar and mid-engined, so it's gonna be a little more dressed up, especially considering how Koenigsegg uniquely handled the engine cover dilemma
For like half a second
Then you will get one final explosion, outside of the combustion chambers, in (hopefully not) spectacular fashion
What happens if another car goes to park in your spot on a Bluetooth ghost? I'd imagine the whip just goes to the next one for a commuter right?
Fix or repair daily
A location tag becomes vital at a certain point
What
Its pushing it in a 2017. If I have my whip ghost parked as a commuter, what happens if someone goes into my spot?

That's the original idea I was getting at. Unknown or not that's pushing it for a 17 computer.
Still not following
I would probably think about adding a backup camera, or seriously consider it.

That's the plausible solution, while using integrated GPS. The idea hasn't come up yet, it's a what if? Scenario

Found epiks tiktok
has anyone jailbroken the dodge charger so the exhaust speakers play music? that'd be funny as hell
Nice colored E36
Still more reliable than a hellcat
Thanks its alaskablau🔥
But new ones montrealblau
Darker blue
What in the diy polishing did they do to their car
it adds texture
Unsure, I'd recommend using aftercare daily in any diy type paint job. Panels with a split like that need a wash or quick check .
Not my car but yeah they should do that
Reliability is, weirdly, one of the few things the hellcat motor doesn't struggle with
It's impressive that dodge was able to make an engine with that much power, at that price, actually reliable
The only V8 Chrysler makes that has a dodgy rep is their cheapest one, the 5.7
I am about to vomit, thanks.
Me sad..
I have the entry level v8 challenger
Atleast its a v8
My sweet belle is a beaut
For what it's worth you're probably okay
They largely solved the infamous lifter tick and the heads won't shit themselves anymore
If you take good care of it can last you into 6-figures
And I know you love that car and I'd wager you do take care of the motor at least
And the transmission is one thing you will never have to worry about, as the ZF8HP is one of the best automatics ever made
That I do
Clean it regular oil changes
General Maintenance intervals
My slider has panels like that and I noticed right away. Typically helps the paint to rinse everyday, especially in humid climates. Washing everyday is pushing it depending on if you use graphine and how it effects your vehicle. I'd say 2-3 times a week is optimal but graphine blasting everytime isn't always the best idea. I'm learning more about graphine aftercare for modern paint design.
For some reason, I think I like the Nissan Z.
Unlike the previous Z sports cars like 350Z and so on, it has V6 turbocharged engine
it's a good car, nobody dislikes it
they're just selling for far more than they should be worth, especially with markups
you could buy an older r35 with some of the markups that dealers charge
simultaneously, toyota purposefully doesn't build enough supras
between dealer greed and company greed, nobody can buy either car because one is overpriced and the other is hard to find
and they wonder why this type of car is dying
maybe they'll follow in nissan's footsteps and make like ten final editions like nissan did for the gtr
Here in Ph, I'd buy a Nissan Z or Toyota Supra or Ford Mustang over GTR purely for affordability
Even from used car market
And it would be a shame if Supra ends
I'd say the most beautiful modern JDM would be the Honda/Acura NSX
unfortunately they're not selling
what with toyota not making enough of them to begin with, with it aligning with z4 ceasing production, with interest rates going up, and toyota dealerships also putting ridiculous markups on their cars
i think it's unlikely we see either nameplate after this
toyota because it don't make money, nissan because... nissan has no money
Couldn't they follow a "uniform" SRP like in Ph?
Car dealers here surely get their cars lower than indicated in the SRP, the only time people pay more than the SRP is during interests when they buy during inhouse financing
sounds more like a question of economy and laws rather than firm decision
Cash buyers can often get small discounts too
The problem with cash buying is it can make tax authorities tax customers more
And of course, it means less emergency funds
But yeah, a uniform SRP without markups while allowing dealers to buy cars they're gonna sell way cheaper than the SRP would give customers better ideas what to expect
in a free economy, firms will charge as high as they can get before consumers decide to go buy something else
every dollar increase is an increase in opportunity cost
in the case of the nissan z, they had markups as high as 80k-100k, i think i've seen one at 140k - buyers can buy a decent cba r35 with that money and have money left over for maintenancd
supras went for 80k - people opted for buying a c8 corvette instead
80k for Supra? Still cheaper than here
if there's a uniform rate of some kind, then the economy is just more controlled, and firms aren't able to choose their price
Supra here costs $96k
Afaik, businesses here can only sell items up to 25% higher than the price they bought from suppliers
charging that much is probably their realization of the only way it can be profitable selling to your market, particularly because most people in the philippines can't dream to own a car like that in their life so their target market is extremely small
Ha! A Toyota Camry is already for rich CEOs or similar here
