It would be cheaper
And a solution for that you know WIDE ass tires
And easier to replace
But the real question is the door.
Tires that wide are beyond overkill for the power the V-Tech makes anyway
Making a hinge system is one thing but making it powered and making it operate quickly, quietly and reliably is another
About what you'd get in an R8 and that has tires half as wide as the V-Tech at best
But the cyber truck passed
And it had lack of screens so you know he paid off the board
The cybertruck at least has airbags
There is no space on the dashboard of the V-Tech for airbags
There's so much visual noise and polygons
Like how would a manufacturer do THIS
There would need to be an experiment car label just for that
tach on the ceiling? death 💀
Yeah that certainly is a choice
I'd also like to point out the obvious lack of side or rear view mirrors
Yeah it has cameras/sensors but those are as of now still illegal in the US
aren't those things on the sides mirrors
Wait, yeah they are
got that going for it
The Porsche in game has 1 mirror on driver side
Everything else has what I presume to be sensors
I'm not counting that though because that's a real car
But Johnny probably lost it in a dui
is there a rear window in this car, a rear view mirror might not even be useful
He lost it because he got hit with the funny digitizer machine

that's huge
Go the Ferrari route
The spoiler is very conveniently in the way
Have the smallest rear window and say fuck you to the person in the back
Not to mention the buttresses
supercar pass
True
The Ferrari testarossa had a small ass rear view
the polestar 4 doesn't have a rear window and it's a crossover so whatever, we ball
I don't know if any of the type 66s have rear windows
We had Cars in American history with less view than any other
Hell the crystal dome tech irl is impossible rn
And highly illegal because cops can’t look in your car
If it was it would still be illegal as shit
People can’t see your face speeding
There's an obvious safety hazard if the system fails
I think it has more to do with the safety of the occupants
Since the projector is on the outside..
When the system is deactivated, it is completely opaque
I’d love to see some engineer in the car world try to make that tech work
And if the system fails on the move... You become a giant projectile
you were always a giant projectile 😎
Tell that to the civic owners
They will blow steam just thinking that they are a menace to society
It would probably weigh a crazy amount as well
they're just small projectiles(except the new one, that's a full-size projectile)
Considering the crystal dome system is as much armor as it is style
Smaller projectiles with a lot of plastic
So the crashies are getting plastic in the face
Probably was a military project in militechs engineering department
Then was popularized by vets who became engineers
Since the basilisk uses it
Rayfield and Militech have their own versions of it
And the nomads use the militech version I presume
Indeed
Or just steal them off the junk yard rayfields lol
Rayfield's system is of course proprietary and built into the vehicles as opposed to being something that can be modified
Nah, they use militech
I love the nomad looking interiors too
You can see militech branding on the "windows" of nomad vehicles with the CD system installed
The mix of digital dash dials and gauges with all the computers
Rayfield's system is woven into the bodywork of the car; iirc most of the external bodywork of the caliburn and aerondight are crystaldome panels
I feel redneck scientists could take inspiration from from cp77
Like with nomad inspired kit
It's also all armored because of course it is
I'd imagine the Excalibur is even more beefed up
The Bugatti of the night city world
Pretty much
The inspiration is obvious
I wished more militech cars used the crystal dome
I believe Militech's system was designed to be more modular
Like seeing a militech suv with armored windows
So you couldn’t shoot out the driver without a clear visual
I mean the Manticore heavily uses it
Though that's not a car
What other cyber punk car features are plausible Irl
The crazy wacky door opening
Maybe the 80s digital displays?
Self-driving obv
Absolutely fucking everything has it if the delivery service thing is to be believed
Who may or may not be rogue AIs from beyond the blackwall
(netwatch doesn't need to know about that tho)
Imagine the black wall ai that infests the drone takes control
Driving you straight into the ocean
Where you die of idk toxic water
I mean Delamain pretty much says himself that he is a rogue AI
For a company like net watch to not see that delamain isn’t ai is sorta dumb
Or just corpo money movin
Delamain is AI though
I mean as far as rogue AIs go he's remarkably benign
But I get your point though
He probably is like a mutually assured destruction bot. Knows humans will destroy his car if he gets too fiesty
If an AI like the one in Erebus/Canto MK6 got control of a cab they would do some serious damage
He knows if he gets too uppity the netwatch will fuck his shit up
The fact we let somi into the hands of blue eyes is another fucking problem too
He said he's already concerned that his status is being questioned by the netwatch
I betrayed somi to get a gun that talks to me and I don't know if it was worth it
damn, i missed the majority
Given how net watch hasnt caught onto the so mi situation
Like a shootout between some 6 street gangsters and some max tac police unit guarding a black wall monster
The only reason netwatch didn't catch her was because reed covered her ass on the condition she went with him to the FIA because she goofed up in one of her early gigs
I did that ending this weekend so I'm still fresh on this stuff
(i know this isn't #other-games but) I got softlocked on the mission where you can pick up Erebus, so when I restarted it and ran through the area as fast as I could, I forgot to pick it back up
Ha unlucky
That mission was terrifying and awesome
i made Canto anyway, so it all worked out
Being totally helpless against a giant rogue-ai spider bot was a fun sequence
If project orion has the same missions.. I want a horrer atmosphere
Like the whole police state thing
I didn't get the chance for them my first run
But anyways back on cars. Have you fine gents seen the absolute icon that is the Nissan juke?
The car that Jeremy LOVES
next topic please
I was having a good day before you mentioned the juke
I hate that car soo same

Sure! what a beaut!
It ruins my mood to know that people like it because it has character

NO IT DOESNT it looks like an inbred Pontiac vibe
I was hooked on the Aztek when I found out about this
What a blight to humanity that thing was
I'd own one this same colour
wouldn't buy it. but i'd own it.
Maybe lease it
The cybertruck looks less detailed than the cars that only render in when you're very far from the road in cyberpunk lmfao
How did it pass safety..
Great fucking question
The Delorean didn’t work out because polished steel doesn’t make it safe
I genuinely can't believe it would have
The DeLorean had its own long list of problems
but you can do this with any other suv
Safety was still largely an afterthought in the early 80s anyway
i unironically like the Aztek, idk what it is. But I hate cars like the Juke and PT Cruiser
It’s ugly
it's a cute ugly, like a stupid pug
i don't like the shoe shape. just like the Chevy HHR
A pug as a comparison ? Smart
that grille gives me nightmares
This dashboard certainly doesn't look like it was designed with safety in mind to me
even Porsche does it more tastefully
they call that the brain shelf
Alternatively, the Guillotine dash
Atleast it covers up the blood when you get into a car crash
So your car is better on the news cam
don't forget my boy the race car at home

Angy cruiser
That PT cruiser build is kinda based tho
which one
you gotta be more specific
🚙 _ _
There’s more.. peel p50s?
no there's more shitty british cars
Oh any British car?
this guy gets it
They are in the same tier as French cars
Peel is actually based on the Isle of Man
where's the Isle of Men
😎
British share one thing with french which is horrible car design
The ocean somewhere
the ocean of men
real
I know that the Isle of Man is a British territory
Yuh
The Austin allegro is the fucking worst
I'm curious why the P50 and trident exist at all
Hydrogas suspension.
goodness me someone put a jet engine in a trident
where are people getting all these turbines. The small ones, i get, but the ones they're putting to actually propel cars?! where are they coming from?
Good idea, poor execution
Probably old jet aircraft
is that the type that gets hot and becomes shite?
probably scrap parts off boeings manufactured
Or some niche old market for jet engines I'm not aware of
gradual loss of ride height over time due to the slow diffusion of gas from the rubber bag within the suspension unit
mmm
There’s a reason why cars don’t use it
In addition to the typical high maintenance time and costs of these experimental systems
But can’t be as bad as French cars none aligned suspension
Simply getting better at making conventional suspension systems solved the problems that hydrogas was designed to solve
French cars just suck irl
Not to mention electronically controlled stuff
Cool concepts but never good in a production atmosphere
Thankfully we didn't get that crap in the US
I like the Peugot 206
Cool car
It was either Citroen or Peugeot who tried to gain a foothold here but never did
I think it was Peugeot
And now is a part of Stellantis
The reaction is actually fitting lol
Which drives down the value by 50%
Not a huge loss for them lol
French love losing lol
Went from a buck-50 to 75 cents, not a huge drop /s
This is true
the one good french car
I don't think Americans know what Alpine is
I mean there's that other company
Bugatti, but they're basically just German now anyway
always has been
I first found out about them from Dirt Rally, but I didn't acknowledge it as a company until I started watching F1
Yeah, whether they are French or German is way more complicated than most understand if you know the history of the land the company was built on
They should sell the peugot 3008 maxi as a rally car and it would be popular if it wasn’t a French car
And if it was made by Jeep
TL;DR the original factory was built on then-french land before said land was annexed into Germany and then returned to France at some point, it's weird
I can never remember who had it first
basically has never been french
The man who founded the original company was Italian, which complicated things even more
bugatti is an italian name, the guy is italian, the land the cars were built in was in germany like 90% of the time
Though by that logic Pagani would be an Argentinian company
the only french is the name of the paint they use and the funny little flag they put om the car occasionally 😎
Love how all euro car brands become part of Germany lol
das auto
they all got swallowed up by the vag, what an unfortunate acronym
Because Germany knows how to build stuff and do it efficiently, for better and for worse
but Germans make their future projects so over complicated
Germans are very good at growing their money, as it were
When it works it's very good
That’s a strong “ when “
Unfortunately, these pesky humans often have a habit of letting things fall out of perfect working order
Which is really the only time German engineering works as designed lol
My boss used to work on euro cars he hates Volvo
I don't mind Volvo
Over spend on safety but compromise on other key issues of cars
I do think I'd ever own one but they've contributed significantly to automotive safety and continue to dominate in that sector
They are impossible to repair however
Saab cars were cool but only because Saab is the only company I know of who could flex about making fighter jets in their car commercials
If there damaged just total it
Say what you want about Saab but their advertising was always S-tier
Japan as a country is...shall we say hesitant to directly admit to what they did back then
And Nissan too
Especially what they did to China and Korea but that's not a discussion for this channel
VW as we know it now didn't really participate in WWII
Just hear me out
When the war in Europe ended, VW was nothing but a single bombed out factory
Just were a huge buisness that thrived under Mr German man
It was a British officer who looked at it and said, "hey, we can probably make something out of all this"
And the VW we know and tolerate eventually came of that
VW has odd marketing
know and tolerate 😭
VW is the General Motors of Germany
How bout Porsche?
Or Chrysler of America, take your pick
could porsche to VW be considered like what Lexus is to Toyota at this point, or?
I'm less privvy to their history as a company relating to the war if that's what you're asking about
Porsche made tanks
Porsche's status when compared to its parent company is a little weird as I understand it
And their first car was destroyed by US forces in ww2
where is Audi sitting in that pile?
At the bottom waiting for papa Porsche to let them off the gas
I believe a rung below them in the food chain
mmm
They have some manufacturing backing from VW but I believe they still do largely do their own thing
Porsche has always done well enough that VW doesn't really need to worry about them anyway
Talk about euro cars.. how Russian cars stayed shit boxes
The lada still runs
Despite being Cold War relics
i just watched a video on russian cars the other day
I don't know the first thing about the domestic car industry in Russia
A classic car connaisseur talks about the communist cars of the Soviet Union. Specifically those of Russian carmakers during the 1950s and 60s. We talk about all the brands, like Lada, the GAZ Chaika, the illustrious Volga's and the superdeluxe state cars for the nomenklatura, the ZILs. Were they any good? And where are these pre-planned car bra...
That will make hipsters go mad
From what I understand, most cars on Russian roads are imports
And rare for that matter
(yes, it does mention cars outside of russia)
I feel like as an American I have a bit of a tainted view of pickup trucks compared to the rest of the world
Which were part of the greater Soviet Union which ment Russia cars basically
just didn't want the random "uhm ackshually
" coming later, lol
Looking at car brands out of Russia.. and most aren’t around no more
I watched a video about this a few years ago
I think it was from donut media
Before Donut went to shit
Avto Vaz and Lada .. Gaz Azlk
yeah, i haven't watched donut the way I used to sinnnnce, the HiLow with the Z
Like seriously when have I heard of GAZ
so a few years now
The only Russian vehicles I like are the giant fuck-off mega trucks that they used to tow ICBMs and shit
The 6×6 and 8×8 monsters
But I have a sneaking suspicion that Gaz is a Russian military car dealer
i watched the Subie and Pickup truck HiLows, and a few others here and there, but I just want my favourite serie back. OG Money Pit and Science Garage!
Half of the people who participated in those are gone
b a r t
Gaz tigr
The only one from the OG crew still around is Nolan I believe
Like how can you not tell me it’s a civilian brand lol
did james leave?
And even he doesn't seem to happy with how it's going
Yes, started his own channel
i forget their names somehow, but Zack(? money pit) and Jeremy(? catfish camaro) leaving, but that was all
Jeremiah and Zach started a channel Called Bigtime and pretty much only do the good sort of content donut made
jeremiah!
Car builds and stuff, it's good content
Hanmond..
i always just called him jerry in my head, lol
HANMOND
No Jeremiah, car gas bad for helf
TONIGHT ON BOTTOM GEAR
Elite reference
Wait no!! It’s MEDIUM GEAR
MEDIUM GEAR is where hamnmod drives a truck into a brick house
And Jerrymiah does arson
remember what could have been 😢
Car..
Which saves a man life!
And might kill him as well
3.2 million for this
Dooood
anyone here
These were in the mid to high 2's for a while so 3.2 today isn't terrible
Rarity is a profound feature in the price of any car
the value of the car comes from the carcollaboration between Mercedes and Maclean and there are (around) 2100 car produced.
And people don't drive it that much, they are just collectors
This one is 1 of 18 in the world
Full carbon fiber!
No not the regular slr, the Sterling Moss one you posted
The regular slr has barely gone up in value innthe last decade
Damn, I wasn't really paying attention to that
But it's really priced over 3 million
Yea the Stirling Moss was never a real production car it was just kinda floated around to extremely prominent (rich) loyal buyers
Either that or they become museum pieces
There is probably a higher chance to see a clk-gtr on the road than a sterling moss slr, they are just stupidly rare
Another car with no windshield that is pretty cool is the Mclaren Elva
That's insane!
*** The SLR Stirling Moss began production in June 2009, after the SLR Roadster was discontinued in May 2009. All 75 cars planned to be produced were completed by December 2009. The SLR Stirling Moss was available only to the existing SLR owners and each car cost in excess of US$1 million***
🤯
I still remember Marussia from NFS World 🥲
Fym it isn’t terrible
I remember when the veyron was the only million dollar car
I remember yesterday too
I went to work, came home, ate a pizza, and went to bed
Sounds like a good day
I only work like 1-2 days a week now but the eating pizza part I do everyday of course
Damn thats nice
Damn, stay strong 💪
That reminds me of a song "Everyday Normal Guy 2"
Idk how or why, but I got a flashback
My damn neck
Lmao use the phone!
Why do you always post them this way
Thats the kanye's ride
“Rotate your phone for better experience”

Some of the nicer cars I have seen over the years
best one is that old pickup behind the senna
Literally the one car that I didn’t try to get a photo of 🤣, what about the poor Vall?
Valk*
i like old truck more
Fair
Right? Like, if I saw the drivers of each, I'd be more likely to talk to the truck's driver/owner.
And they'd be more likely to talk to me back! 😂
That would have stolen the show for me
Old American cars >>>>>> exotic supercars
MY DREAM CAR!!!!
You just know the story of that truck and it's owner is more interesting than any of the supercars present lol
He definitely likes it more than any of the supercar owners like theirs
You probably dont know it but that aston in the background is worth a couple millions
Cant tell if its the victor or another special one but if its the victor its worth $5m
The Valour? Yeah about 1.2m that one
I would take the 3m Valk anyday though, especially in that color
Ofcourse
the guy who reacted to this with a thumbs down is a nerd
That's a Valour
Very similar, just basically different production numbers
Valour is around $2mish and the Valkyrie is out the door about $4mish
Apologies, I am European so in € 🙂
We would also have lower prices due to proximity and other factors
Yea they’re very similar
2 cool cars I’ve seen i guess
Oh right currencies and all thay jazz mb
so acura pulled an eclipse on us
i guess the integra is their rsx and the rsx name now belongs to another crossover
guess which iconic car nameplate turned into an electric SUV...
The Acura RSX
wait I didn't read the message right above me
my bad lmaoooo
Veneno 🥰
Tf is that second one?
Veneno
More tips than 2x cylinders
3 tips per cylinder
the hell
Doesn't look like one
If anything, it looks like Veneno from Temu
That is not a veneno
Oh my... 😳
I just saw this and I'm in love
https://www.motor1.com/news/360102/dodge-challenger-suv-rendered/

Both of these are beyond awful
The Chevy one just looks like a blazer front superimposed onto a Urus body

Ford has Mustang mach-E, so why not both of these?
The Mach E isn't a mustang
I don't care what Ford calls it
It is not a mustang

Least obvious "Corvette E-SUV advocate" ragebait
Urus
Me what
Beautiful
ignore the plate
cleanest shifting i've ever seen
Omg that's so annoying to see even to a dead car
lowball yes or no
Nice
I need gtav account steam or epic i need to play online

What you need is to get yo money up and just buy the game 🥶🔥💰
scrolled a bit too far OOPS
They should add a train service vehicle that your can drive and have upgrades like a big turrent that you friend can use while you drive the train and there should be missions/heist that you can access through a part on the train
👍
"So much torque it twisted the chassis coming off the line"
@tepid fog You do your own oil changes right?
everything.
Where do you dispose of the old oil safely
except paint job for now
oh..
i usually give it to the autostore
thats really good
I have a CVT maxi scooter though so I need an impact gun if I want to do cvt work
It's gonna be about 150 bucks
mhm
it's a good investment but I'm gonna endure doing everything by hand for now
I found a set with a half-inch ratchet and sockets from 8 to 24mm with no skips
It's a chinese brand but can't beat 30 bucks
i support youuuu
that's really really good
the $70 is top tierrr
70 is not bad ngl
Yeah
I just noticed it has hex and torx sockets
I’ll probably just grab the $30 one and get a medium extension and that joint thing, could come in handy sometimes
bettt
Thats asseto corsa with some effect an rtx
Yes
doug demuro discovers broken hood latch on the new bentley
me: you can probably buy that for a dollar off ebay if you search "volkswagen polo hood release"

fr
it's so sad to see such great cars, getting ruined like this
looks better in red
Even the 7 series looks bad, imo
Most of these designs are based or looking as EVs
true
Anyway thank you bro for sharing these
What’s going on here
Can barely name sole of those
im posting pics from auto expo which i took
MG Majestor
Such a remarkable car, I bet that most of these new cars won't get the fame of the classic cars, ever!
This is a clean looking car
true, scroll above for bmw and porsche pics
MG Cyberster
yea classic cars have their own charm
these are all the pics which i took
after that i went to porsche test track
to drive Macan
They dropped the v12 on this

Will be posting vid of me driving the Porsche Macan
The electric one?
Nice
orange one in the pic
2nd vid is of my friend driving it
He was really pushing the car to its limit
1st vid is of me driving it,my friend couldnt record longer vid since he had to get in the waiting line for test drive
There was also a 911 Carrera but it had 3hr+ long queue💀
I could smell the tires burning

Was really fun to drive Macan
Probably the best thing in Auto expo apart from taking pics

going to a local classic car meet this sunday, I hope to see some american stuff, they're rare as fuck here
If there's any sound I can recognize from anywhere, it's definitely the Toyota 4.0 startup sound
For me, it's the mid00s SUV V8 startup and late 90s sedans (Camry)
My old neighbor had this Lexus, and I always knew when they were going somewhere because the startup sounded the same as our 05 Sequoia
This shit looks like an starving Feral slime from Slime Rancher
Best sound ive heard goes to my neighbours toyota chaser
Bro had a massive exhaust
And i think he swapped the engine
Best sound I've ever got to hear myself was probably just a regular Lamborghini or Ferrari v12 and Ferraris 458 v8's
Best sounding car I've driven though is hands down the gt3 rs solely because of the violent downshifts
How does it feel driving a gt3rs?
You hear everything (LOUD), you feel everything, and it handles better at lower speeds than any supercar around or evem double that price it just grips and grips
Not an ideal road car, that job is better suited for a Huracan
Or an r8 same same
Yea must’ve felt great
Like unearthly great
Which model did you drive?
The downshifts then soon after hearing almost 9,000rpm out of of an n/a flat 6 was the biggest smile I think I've had in a while
There weren't long enough straights to really send it though I got it up to about 140mph then had to slow for a corner
Weissach. I believe it was a 2019
140 in a gt3 ra is not bad
Not bad at all
Got to experience most of its speed
It can go much faster than that, so hopefully one day I can max it out
some might even say, it was! 😎
lol, honestly tho
yeah, the "whoosh" from the fan is so iconic to me
Yeah but doing that in a car that is supposedly isn’t yours is pretty decent as most people and dealers dont like people speeding in the test drives
It was on a track, so it wasn't speeding
i'm so unlucky i had to see two cybertrucks on the street today 😭 😭 😭
Oh
You’ll get over it
in Canada (Saskatchewan) the cybertrucks do not work at all when the temperatures drop below -20C and we get -20C for the majority of the year.. they’d be better off getting a fckn convertible
Big ahh bus
Never been in one.. mainly bc the Canadian airlines are cheap asf and only buy all the second-hand, propellor planes that are shit. And they wonder why nobody likes them anymore
“One of the most expensive turboprops” yeah well it’s still a fucking prop 😂😭
Lol
What’s one classic / modern race car you would love to own and drive
race car as in full on race car? man idk, so many to pick from
road legal probably some pagani
I want a 1963 corvette grand sport. I love old corvettes
Mine is technically an antique so I can skirt some legal laws on it
Pagani Zonda or a Mclaren F1 would be my top tiers but there are a lot of random ones I'd love to drive
I wish I could become a car reviewer so I could drive the cars around without having to deal with owning them
Idk again maybe fat finger 😅

I like classic race cars with luxury’s
do you like classic race cars or classic luxury cars
Classic race cars had luxurious features for the time
on what planet
Have you?
You are mistaking these companies road cars with their race cars
back in the day they were two different things
the road cars had leather in them but that didn't make them comfortable by any means either
Better then what the poors of the 60s had
Or the average driver of the 60s had. Beeg engine
economy cars vs higher end cars didn't really have an exponential leap in tech or performance around that era. The difference between a baseline Pontiac and a flagship Cadillac was mainly design and interior quality
that shift started to happen when every economy car became cheap looking and filled with plastic
then the luxury cars really started to stand out
That’s why I love classic cars less plastic and tech more driver skill
And I’m partial to the 1990s dodge viper since it had no safety features so purely skill of the driver
There were a lot of downsides to older cars definitely but yea if they could viably use plastic back then they definitely would lol
Vipers are nice, we'll never see something like that be made again
it was really a last stand for cars like that
Too many driver assistance programs in cars.. sad we don’t get any pure skill of driver kind of cars no more
some technology makes sense, and the ones that don't can usually be turned off for track use
abs for example, most people don't even know how to pump the brakes today, but why would you? abs is better than any driver
abs isn't something that hinders the driving experience, if anything it saves you a new set of tires every week
one short stop and they are bald spotted
even if a deer running out on the road doesn't hit the car you're out $1000
I’m just nostalgic to the good ole days when cars weren’t all tech
the best mix of it was probably around the late 90's and early 2000's which is why those cars are skyrocketing
sooner or later every poster car will be unaffordable and stored in garages never to be driven again, it's a sad tale
Like the Carrera gt, Enzo, Mclaren F1, Jaguar xj220 etc
Bugatti eb110, late 90's 911 turbos
and the rare gt2
Those had an amazing balance between tech and raw feel
If you like classic feel from a modern car you'll love Gordon Murray's new car company
he made 2 new models and they are crazy
You forgot the legend of 80s cars too.. those were iconic and unforgettable. Well remembered into the 90s
I was listing cars at the peak of when tech didn't overpower the vehicle in terms of driver feel
90's cars were much better in performance and on the clutch, steering feel etc
80's cars still had things to get better at
like 18 wheelers?
Yea most people who buy pickup trucks and suv's do not use it for pickup truck and suv things
Half the drivers don’t use them for intended uses
I love the 90s ram tubro diesel
unless you need 7 seats or you tow heavy things people just need to learn how to like sedans and station wagons again
some of the estate wagons look better than the sedans imo
Or learn to ride motorcycles again
and you get a much better truck space
motorcycles are just too dangerous to use long distance
they can be good for little city commutes but they also aren't good for the environment

Modern cars are so efficient that they exhaust almost spews out just water
which is why it seems like such a mistake to have fully ev economy cars whn we can just make good quality hybrids
EVs won’t replace ICEs completely
you pair a 1.5l 4 cylinder with a little electric motor and it'll get 50mpg while being faster than a 2.0 liter of a previous generation
I get 14 mpg in my challenger..
maybe 50-70 years from now but surely we have time before that occurs
If they get a hybrid V8 hemi maybe
I know two people with a pickup truck that use them for their purpose. One has a literal boat, and the other is an actual trucker
Cars like that shouldn't mask efficiency because they will never be efficient
enthusiast cars should still exist but mass produced economy cars are the ones that should be made into the most efficient vehicles possible
banning Lamborghini and Ferrari from using v10's and v12's will not help the environment in any way, it'll just make people angry and hate their local politicians
even if a 5.2 liter v10 produces 10 times the emissions of a 4 cyl Corolla, there are 100x as many corollas and they travel 10x the distance per year
the averager Huracan goes like 4000 miles a year
exactly, They have a place in this world as reliable transportation but instead of ruining it for enthusiasts they should focus on making the boring cars better
because the boring cars make up 80% of cars
so most of the greenhouse emissions
I never drove a “boring” car in my life to be honest
are you loaded?
non boring cars are extremely expensive
not to brust your dreams, but idk if that is a non boring car
it depends on the perspective you're approaching
Idk 300 hp isn’t a normal car hp
you can really like a little mid engine 150hp economy shitbox and consider that a non boring car because it is quirky
it's not all about hp
300hp isn't high today
That’s why I want a hellcat
I would consider a 1988 Pontiac fiero a quirky mid engine shitbox and I love those things because they are weird and not very well known
to fill an example for you
mr2 also
but mr2's were built much better
it's not worth it unless you really like straight line and low end torque
if you want a car that is fun to drive hp isn't the biggest factor
You think I’m not going to enjoy 717 hp and 656 lbs of torque?
as long as you enjoy it responsibly, you do you
I’m not going get wrapped around a telephone pole I’m not a viper driver
comparatively i'd rather have a 250hp car that weighs 2100 pounds than a car with 717 horsepower that weighs 4500 pounds
any day of the week
I prefer fun cars…
I like mountain canyon roads, corner speed
I live in the middle of the Midwest were it’s mostly flat
if a 250hp mid engine rwd car that weighs 2100 pounds is not a fun car to you then there is no pleasing you
xD
That is like a go kart with a registration sticker on it
I grew up driving a challenger lol
[insert boat gif]
This definitely ain’t Florida

1718
these are my favorite types of roads to drive on
really tight corners elevation changes
I love straight lines
like tail of the dragon type stuff
Drag strip style racing
For the price of a Hellcat you could probably build a really nice Corvette build
if you're dead set on an american v8
I like the hemi whine you get from a hellcat
the whine is a supercharger
you can slap a blower on anything
I don't recommend that though lol
Which is part of the 6.2 L v8 hemi
engines explode
Atleast you go out in a blaze
Put a supercharger on a stock miata, it will be like jumping in lava
you can only do it once
I would love to put a cold air intake on a super charger so it’s loud asf
I believe dodge made design decisions specifically to amplify the sound profile of the supercharger
The supercharger(s) that Chevrolet uses on the LT4 and LT5 aren't as loud as that of the hellcats
The scat packs come with cold air intakes so it’s louder
They were borderline obnoxious before the cold air intake
I like a cold air intake!~
Congrats
The hemi whine sounds so much better
It's to the point that any supercharger whine is immediately compared to hellcat whine or mistaken for a hellcat whine
Like how any straight cut gear noise is immediately compared to the M3 GTR
More bark and less bite compared to its rivals
But will absolutely dominate on the drag strip
I guess depending on how you look at it they have more bite too
Naturally aspirated V8 W204 C63
The demon is both bark and bite
In a straight line
They have more horsepower but they don't have the handling chops to match
It’s a muscle car not a sports car
Muscle cars are sports cars, just not the kind of sports car you're thinking of
Corvettes 6.2 L v8 did 490 hp
Naturally aspirated, yes
Did it come with a turbo or a super charger?
I'd like to remind you that dodge's biggest NA V8 put out less than that
i wonder how it would sound if they used a mic that could handle it, lol
Naturally aspirated means no turbo or supercharger
Or procharger, twincharger or any other kind of forced induction
Multiple, yes
But with the style and coolness of the challenger?
"can they do this, but with the subjective standards I set, myself?"
I like the 70s challenger
I was going to say something like this, albeit a bit less direct
lol
I like loud ass muscle cars
Cars that scream look at me I’m financially irresponsible
SSC Ultimate Aero TT, Hennessy Venom GT and F5, SSC Tuatara, Saleen S7 LM to name a few
And also the new C8 ZR1
Does the c8 have a race body kit?
what
The c8 ZR1 with all the race canards and spoilers
They've been racing the C8 since the model's inception, if that's what you're asking
The C8 ZR1 has a wing, front splitter and Canards as standard as I understand
Frankly a car with that kind of power should come with that stuff
Yes
the one you like
I can't think of a Corvette model that wouldn't at least be serviceable as a daily
Older models?
This one has a better mic
I want a c8 but it’s around 60 grand
Good luck getting one for MSRP anyway
The C8 Z06 starts at 112
And it isn't limited production BS either
Is the c8 worth 60 grand to you?
Yeah I'd say so
I love corvettes as much as I love challengers
For what you're getting that price is far from outrageous imo
I NEED the C63 Black Series 2012.
Not the new one, nothing other than this beast!
Is it over engineered like every German car .. cough cough bmw
the merc
Some American cars can be over engineered
It's the most competent sports car General Motors has ever made, but it's still far from a space-age car
And it's probably the most "Corvette" Corvette ever made imo
I still don't know how I feel about the flatplane crank engines in the Z06 and ZR1 though
It looks interesting. Didn’t the higher performing corvettes run against Ferraris?
The C5 is the vette I grew up seeing a lot. I found out about the 50th Anniversary Edition from the Corvette PS2 game
The Corvette has been racing internationally for over 20 years
And it's gotten many many accolades along the way
Corvettes and Ferraris are in totally different price brackets
Ferraris are big fuck off money cars
Let's not act like there haven't been any American cars that get 6-figure expensive
You'd need to compare performance between Corvette and Ferrari, I don't know
Or cost 6 figures in the long run
But every generation of the GT Corvette racer has been fairly successful
Especially the C6 and C7
It's so cool!
That color is pretty
Do you think corvettes will look like Ferraris in the future ?
Never been a huge fan of the C5 styling but I don't hate it and my dad almost bought one as a weekend driver
They're already getting there now
No?
The flatplane engine in the Z06 was "inspired" by the engineering of the 458 but the body is a Chevy design through and through
Including the decision to axe a manual transmission altogether
I wonder if Chevy took Ferrari designers
I doubt it
I'd imagine Ferrari engineers and designers are paid too well to jump ship
Atleast they aren’t German engineers
The idea of a mid engine Vette has been bouncing around GM floors for decades
Germans find ways to make engines so complicated
German engines work brilliantly when they're in great working order, and are reliable when kept there
Problem is
People have a habit of failing to do that
German engineering in general is good, and expensive
Except when there’s a problem in the engine
They are very good at what they do
Yea and Beautiful
Like I said, they're reliable when they're taking care of well
If you aren't taking your car for regular servicing that's a you problem not a manufacturer problem
Does your car say when it needs an oil change
Or servicing?
It has an arbitrary oil condition meter but I don't use that as a reference
yeah, in the manual
They put a sticker on the window that gives a date and a mileage for the earliest ideal time for a servicing
My car didn’t come with a manuals when I got it used lol
You can probably find a manual on the Internet
I did that and found it
Noice
But it was funny my used challenger didn’t come with it
Fordpass app also has service internals in it as well
It was a private sale so I guess the owners threw it out and used it as bonfire tinder
It was in the south so I guessed that
Getting rid of the owner's manual under any circumstances is unwise tbh
My 2003 F150 that I drove as a first car had the owner's manual, and it was from Arkansas
A farm truck too, no less
(a remarkably well taken care of farm truck I might add)
Do you recommend any trucks for winter?
Anything with 4WD
The only trucks I've driven long-term is that 03 F150 I mentioned and a 13 Ram 1500
Both had 4WD, Hi and Low, and both were perfectly usable in the snow
I like 90s turbo diesel rams
Then get one, have fun with the cracked dash tho
