it's called knowing how to drive lmao
knowing how to drive and knowing how to drive like thats different
Yeah but it takes a while for others to respond
ive never seen a single person do what i did
Lol here everyone drives like that when you get your licensee at 17
depends
Most people can weave through traffic fine
no?
i drove over a curb through 2 metal poles in a gas station
Here in 🇦🇺 my g
Yeah but that's a very specific situation
In general you can drive over curbs and through properties in most cars lol
yea true im j saying specifically what i did
ive never seen a single other person do it
Well yeah that's oddly specific
or anything like it fr
most ppl just dont have slim cars
closest thing is ive seen ppl more recently drive on sidewalks
which i also did
its the most fun thing ever
You don't need a slim car you can just send it with a big 4wd and get a few scrapes
Little bit of property damage never hurt anyone
if my car was more wide i woulda hit a pole on the right side
u cant see it in the video
Yr tripping
People dont drive like that here😂
Only a couple of us morons with fourbies here n there will do it
Nah not everyone but it's common p plater thing
Common enough
Especially in Adelaide when you get further south near the country lol
No shit did you miss me saying theyre stupid
Skids 10x better🥱
When they can throw the cars around at least, that guy just liked blowing tyres
Classic commie wagon
Sounds like here, or perhaps it's worse here
then what did u send
that shit looks dumb
he blew his tire n kept going
Yeah we have pretty strict road rules in Aus even though we drive like dickheads I'm sure there are places that are worse
A skid meet you donkey
Or better depending on how you look at it lol
Almost every motorist here feels like they're in Fast and Furious
lol when u call someone dumb for not knowing what something is
thats not even from their country
@old sedge sounds like my dream city
Where
Bro chill it's not an insult that's just how Australians talk
n u think thats better than a takeover lol
a guy blowing his tire and driving around looking stupid
Philippines, except that they're only furious because they can't speed up due to almost constant traffic jam.
So forget about that dream
Oh yeah nah south East Asia is bad cause overpopulated and traffic
Those rules with less people would be 💯
it looks me stealing a civ car in gta n the cops shooting the tire and i cant control where im going
Idk what a takeover is
You get about 10 cars each event, each will throw em til their tyres go bang and they throw them a hell of a lot better than your stupid little american ones
Im calling you dumb because ive told you what it is previously at least twice
well ur ina server for a game based on a american city
And
America does suck lol
Fr💀
Everyone outside America knows America sucks
but knows all about america
good point
hitler did something to the whole world
people outside of america are invested on whats going inside it
when it has nothing to do with them
lotta outside countries are also becoming a lot more like america
idk about all the uk but ik northern ireland is
Wdym becoming like america
America is ikportant
But it sucks
Lol
We care because what affects America affects the world but no one wants to live there with fat stupid Americans lmao
listening to america's music, adapting their fasion, using words that they use
Hmph, in one of the highways in the capital region, the minimum speed is 60km/h, but the constant stop and go traffic situations even there make it almost impossible to reach that speed.
Nah the americans have their own stupid versions of our english words
Its insanely dumb
English people suck too
Tire instead of tyre
Tbf color > colour
most young ppl in the uk listen to american rap
Rap is terrible
Ss goes hard
Cardi b is ew
Rap in general can go right in the bin
Damn bro
That first wagon you sent looks Hella familiar
Was that a superdrift sticker on the side window
thats literally just someonewho cant slide
Adl
Nah this cbr
Someone get the yaris driver outta here
?
Still just as shameful
Istg p plate girls in yarises drive harder than this dude
how old are u?
69
Cheap Toyota's are great if you skid them
Nah I mean hilux
These 2 are the best rim designs BMW ever did
https://www.razaoautomovel.com/noticias/este-bmw-320i-e36-tem-410km-e-esta-a-venda/

https://www.flickr.com/photos/77492252@N05/37149453545
Lol you can skid fwd tho it's pretty stupid but can be fun if you're trying bush bash
They low on lower though
Need some work to throw that weight around
Thats disgusting
How so?
Ugly
We mostly did dumb shit on dirt roads cause my school was like 5mkn away from country roads
Nah, it's a work of beautiful art.
prolly older tho
Dirt roads better easier yo lose traction
On loose gravel anything skids lol but yeah if you going down to the indusso you want an au Falcon ute
or ur one of those "i was born in the wrong generation" ppl
Are you still going
I would be able to buy a torana for under 5k so like yeah
Cos classics>modern cars any day of the week
Mitsubishi Pajero 1st and 2nd gen are also amazing
No
LandCruiser or patrol
Otherwise die
Imagine driving a mitsi lmao
Unless it's an evo
💯
Magna🤷♂️
Lol for skids yeah
You think this Pajero is a joke?
I miss the old days when SUVs are tough and reliable. Now, only the Ford Explorer and Expedition are...
Suvs in general👎
We do need SUVs here
Nah you need a ute
In rainy seasons when many roads are flooded, SUV would get the job done.
You get ranger raptors there don't you
Yup
Toyota built a Hilux GR-S to counter Ford Ranger Raptor, it uses the 2.8L diesel engine as usual, but with higher hp and torque.
Turbo?
Yup, single turbo though
Havent heard of the grs
Its engine is more powerful than the Ranger Raptor's 2.0L biturbo diesel engine.
Pretty cool
Gr sport here
I'd take a raptor still tho even tho I am Toyota fanboy
The Hilux interior is old and I think raptor looks better
For dailying I'd take the raptor but off road and reliability Hilux wins 100
But Ford reliability is still unparalleled
Toyota is the king though
Isis didn't steal ford rangers for their desert rigs they stole hiluxs
Yeah that's odd
Ford isn't bad but definitely not the most reliable
Of course, Ford is more reliable than Toyota and others
Ford salesladies told me so
And despite the Hilux GR-S having more powerful engine than the Ranger Raptor, the Hilux still uses 6-speed AT while the latter has 10-speed AT
More gears, the better
Wsg
They should've given the Hilux GR-S a 15 or 20-speed DCT
Ew
That would give it a high performance
Too many gears
6 gears are too few for that engine
Naaaa
Should be DCT too, not just AT
10 speed is perfect gearing for auto sports cars
Idk why you need more and why you need 15 speed for a ute lol
Functionally yes 10 speed dct is good
But Hilux off roading you don't want too many gears or too complex trans cause it'll overheat
a mint EK hatch won't definitely be 2k unless it has a slushbox
Or how about giving Ford Ranger Raptor and Toyota Hilux GR-S CVT or direct-drive motor mechanism?
You won't find a mint EK hatch unless it's at a collector auction for 50k
But a decent one for <5k AUD here means you can def get under 3k in usa
Y'all got cheap at cars everything's half the price
Are you sure?
Yeah literally everything in the US is half the price of aus
They got cheap at cars except me
Cars in Ph are expensive as hell.
How much is a Toyota Supra GR 2023 in Aus?
This costs ₱ 5,396,000 here which costs 147,737.47 AUD
In fact, the high car prices here are the reason why I want to emigrate
Gr supra is about 100k aud
Damn bro 1.5x more than aus
In the US it's like 70k aud
They get their big f150 trucks and stuff as well in the US for like 60k AUD but here it's over 150k
Same with Camaros and chargers
Raptor r and TRX are 170k aud in USA and here it's 300k aus
That's crazy I'd don't know you got the f150s there
We only got them in Australia the last few years
Didn't think those big Bois would sell in the Phillipines lol
Something something Found On Road Dead
Ford isn't unreliable but its not at the top
It's always Americans shitting on ford and fanboying over Chevy or ram but none of them are super reliable
That's why dodge is the best
so uve had the same amount of cars as me all around the same price as mine except urs are all older either proving my thought that ur either a older guy maybe like midlife crisis or you're younger and just like all older shit
(Im 17)
Around the same price? You clowning
Whatve you owned
Also i own all these cars at the same time
so my 2nd choice was right
ur a richer snobby 17 year old yb who thinks hes born in the wrong generation
and ive owned a 2017 sentra and a 2011 legacy apart from the yaris
Richer cos i made that money too🥱
T3 a cross gen model, uses parts from early and late gen, runs an easy 30-40, no idea what the mg would be but upwards of 40, and the 159s a little cheaper in at 15 odd
All aud
Mr spoiled cos i got off my ass and worked, whats up w people like you bitching bout younger people earning decent money
n what do u do for a living mr productive
If youre buying a legacy or sentra for anything over 15 youre getting scammed

Shitbox cars
Legacy not so much
Cant say🫢
oooh so mysterious
n lol
a reliable newer car with eco mode sports mode cruise control with a nice interior and looks good outside
such a shitbox
So wats the topic now?
Wat car we are driving?
Or wat car @green grove is looking for
This is mine
nothin
looks like the honda version of a prius
Simply naming eco mode as a feature tells me all i need to know about you
it does?
its the one prius model
i forget the name
i see it when i drive
acting like saving gas isnt a positive attribute lol
Prius C
i suppose?
me n my mans call it the king prius since its raised higher than the other prius'
i guess they have similar body style
💀
not that theres any problem with but do u like guys?
bc u are on my dick so hard jfc
Nah Honda Jazz
Full gas no hybrid no electrical
With an engine built in japan not china
Electricals require specific instalations and support throughout a cpuntry
If you have ekevtricals and then no proper charging stations every 25-50 km then screw that
Also lets not discuss the real impact of a mass car battery production across the globe. Ppl shpuld know better the impacts of lithium mining
Not reliable ngl
I mean most current cars are not reliable either because of electronics
Biggest issue is sustainability. Electrical innovation is a bit different from mechanical. Tools current shops have can be used on both a 1960 and a 2020 car, though the latter probably has some complex wiring
But it's unsure whether current electric cars can be repaired using the same tools as cars in 2050
Niiiice. It even got the 4.2, wonder if it's a manual
Look at this bus race...
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=306454198917054
perfection.
I don't mind them as daily drivers either, commuters, general things to go to point a then to b.
My only issued is when they get forced on us and everyone gets rid of low production beautiful engines like they pollute the environment by any real noticeable metric
same here
like word for word
There are 100 gma t.50's. About 150 Paganis. These cars get driven about 200-2000 miles a year...
The amount of pollution bugatti, pagani, and Koenigsegg combined have created in 20 years, is the equivalent to not even the amount of pollution every Toyota Corolla makes in a single day.
If you build under a certain amount of cars on a per model basis, regulations should allow to be heavily bypassed. Those hypercars are practically art pieces of engineering more than actually driven
It hurts nothing
Here in Ph, the logic here is 1970-1990s supercars were banned because they're not safe anymore and they pollute, but ww2 era jeepneys are not.
probably cause those jeeps make money for the government
remember, they value profits over your safety
That's horrible
R8s are so hot
anybody who thinks electric cars exist to make the world better or battle climate change is delusional lmao
idm them but if you think theyre good for the environment you crazy
the day they figure out how to make an electric car sound good, without fake noises, ill buy one
something like amplifying the noises or a new kind of motor that makes some sound
real
they're a patch for the symptom of pollution. the solution is not in cars at all, yet the US government and their subsidised automakers keep insisting it is
greed.
Lithium mining and other battery industries gonna continue to expand, creating even further pollution likely on par or even worse compared to current emmisions in the automotive industry
Let's not forget about the human rights violations in said mines
Haven't really looked into that, i assume its pretty bad then?
Depends on the mine
Exactly
And yes working conditions are fked mostly African warlords and slaves
I mean in a third world country it wouldnt surprise me, any industry in those would be full of issues
There are of course some mines that do it legit with safety equipment/standards and power tools and that but there are some mines that pay people pennies on the dollar, if at all, to work with no safety equipment or sometimes even no power tools
And those mines absolutely decimate the water supply of the local area and make it unusable for farming or anything basic that requires clean-enough water
There is no solution
All world problems are due to overpopulatipn
A sustainable number of humans can live with as much technology as they like and minimal impact on the world ecosystem
But when you have 8 billion people there will always be global environmental issues
Mines in the Congo come to mind too
Yep the entire process of mining rare earth metals is not good
I did a paper on this in college
The technology, the environmental damage, the carbon footprint of the mining process itself
Some companies are doing good and are voluntarily ceasing business with these mines but quite a few companies are not, for various reasons
And even with minimal safety equipment the health risks are immense the whole thing is pretty toxic
Lets kill everyone then
not us but someone should
That took a turn💀
Bro is Eren Yeager
yeah that too!
We as a species should reduce fossil fuels in any way we can due to it being a finite resource of course. However there are better ways to do this than shilling ev's as a savior
Most if not all Cars in the 30's-late 70's smelt like shit, were unsafe, and had little emission regulation.
Nowadays most typical commuter cars blow water vapor out of the exhaust
Combustion cars have never been more efficient and safe
Real
Getting rid of one of the worst mistakes in humanity, leaded fuel and downsizing engines so not everything had a 7 liter v8 making 230hp was a massive win for the car community and the general population who rely on their cars as transportation
People who still want to drive their old cars can
They run carburetors with ethanol base rather than lead, and typically have parts to help with emissions if people want them
Instead of banning the past, we should incentivise the future while allowing the past to roam as well
Over time it will die out through generations leaving only diehard fans and enthusiasts to remain. Like horses
They were the main transportation over 150 years ago, however People still ride horses, we didn't ban horse riding
Something something horses don't destroy the ozone layer, as if that was even up for debate
The military will be using emissions-producing fuels long after the civilian sector will cease
At least if the right people remain in charge of that and they aren't influenced by the ignorant public
Hopefully electric planes come to fruition. Planes produce a hell of a lot more co2 than and car x1000. Getting rid of any plane emissions we can would be a lot more impactful
True, the government and massive companies pollute then blames the consumer
That should stop as well
I can see the lighter duty vehicles like light-duty trucks and transports going electric
Just not the more specialized stuff like Tanks, IFVs, LAPVs and such
As battery technology advances trucks and utility vehicles make more sense as EV's especially local ones
Like those new Amazon trucks
Yeah apparently that deal isn't going great for Rivian
There was tons of them in St Louis awhile ago but I haven't seen any in Michigan yet
I suspect the St Louis area was one of their tests
Thanos only mistake was randomly culling half the population
Should have evaluated people and done 90% tbh
But we don't have to commit genocide to reduce the population
People just gotta stop having kids
The earth is pretty big, we aren't exactly overpopulating however our industrial and technological advances have made most people over consume and produce more emissions than they ever would if we returned to monkey, or were less civilized/modern like 2000 years ago
But as technology advances for the betterment of the earth, we could see our population be very sustainable. 150 years ago people said that by now we would be in mass starvation and poverty because there wasn't enough food to go around
But with electricity, and new farming inventions we will outlast that prediction tenfold
We actually overproduce food. Modern starvation isn't a food issue it is a logistics and consumerist issue
If we could evenly spread the food and necessities like water out we would all thrive but it is hard and costly to get things from thousands of miles away
Would you rather have 100 billion people living like beggars sustainably, or 10 million people living in absolute luxury, sustainably?
We are most definitely overpopulating
We have the resources to thrive if we live off the land like we did thousands of years ago, with absolute cooperation
We definitely do not have the resources to build 8 billion electric cars and 8 billion smart homes and for 8 billion people to use uber eats every day on their 8 billion laptops and 8 billion smartphones and have 8 billion cleaning robots, farming robots, military robots etc which is where we are heading
Or we space everyone out
very true, the military-industrial complex is probably the hardest issue for the US to overcome
Only developed countries live that way, so about like maybe a fraction out of that 8 billion have stupid excess stuff like uber eats and vacuum robots.
That is what over consumption being normalized looks like
We aren't over populated by the simple ratio of square land divided by the amount of space we take up and what we consume. We just have defined things like smartphones and junkfood as necessity
That begs the question then, who deserves life
If we have 8 billion people and you think that for some reason this is just too many
Who would kick the metaphorical boot and get game ended
nobody deserves anything
if people voluntarily decide to have less children then the population will reduce without any murder lol
thats my point
overpopulation is only an issue because of our standards of living
and given the choice everyone would rather live in excess than like caveman
which iswhy i asked would you rather have large pop + low standard or small pop + high standard
if people were empathetic then anybody with major health/mental flaws would choose not to reproduce
lions evolved to be the kings of the jungle over millions of years because of natural selection, only the best survived and reproduced -and so they evolved
humans with our technological advancement violated nature and broke natural selection, so everyone keeps fuckin and having kids even when they shouldnt, even when they are passing on defects, even when they arent mentally and emotionall stable or capable of raising children, even when they are physically and financially useless and incapable of providing for their children
and it cant be a authoritarian soluton is needs to be self regulated
cant force people to not have children, need peole to choose not to for the greater good
anyway back to cars
what do you guys think is the best 'beginner' supercar
huracan evo? audi r8? r35 gtr? 911 gt3rs?
if you wanted to pick one of those as a first supercar to learn to drive fast in, as a stepping stone to a future hypercar collection
which would you pick
lmao that change of pacing and topic
i would have said the C8 Corvette but thats more sports car than it is a super car
ottherwise maybe the AMG GT or the R35
also the urus is really growing on me, was hyped for the sterrato but its not really a rally car
urus on the otherhand is actually off roadable, plus looks like a big hot hatch
and this sounds amazing, plus the acceleration shots 💦

The Supercar Diaries #14 / Novitec Lamborghini Urus Esteso
One of the worlds fastest SSUV’s just got a whole lot crazier. Today we drive a Novitec Lamborghini Urus Esteso, arguably one of the most insane cars to roll out of our house.

c8 is in the league tho valid answer imo
i dont like amg personally
i know i said gt3rs but mostly asking about awd cars, since most supers are awd would make the most sense
i guess r35 vs r8 quattro vs huracan evo awd is the real question
or gt3rs vs huracan sto if we going with rwd
the answer would still be the GT-R for me, if you want to have your first supercar
and then the Audi R8, which is my personal pick
Z06 is a supercar
i surprisingly forgot that the Z06 came out to be honest, it didnt appear in my mind then
i just thought stingray
so in that case, the Z06 would also be a good place to start
From what I've heard, the R8 is known for being remarkably easy to drive
I can't speak for the other cars you've mentioned but I can confirm that the R8 is remarkably easy to drive at track speed
i personally think that the R8 is better looking than the Huracan Evo or the GTR

what model year?
The one I drove was a 19
pre-facelift was better than the post, i reckon
I prefer pre-facelift too
one of the few cars where i dont mind the older version, but still prefer the facelift
For a beginner to driving or driving more sporty vehicles, the Nissan gtr and Lamborghini Huracan will give you a lot more leeway not to die in.
Mclaren's and track Porsches like the rs models are probably more along the lines for people who know what they are doing and want something much more focused
Mclarens will kill you without much hesitation
i think r8 definitely looks better than gtr
i do think its cleaner and better proportioned than the huracan evo, especially side view
but its a bit boring to me sohuracan evo wins
Sitting in a Huracan feels like no other car, it really has a cockput feel to it because you sit ridiculously low and all the controls are pretty high up
it makes you feel like you are surrounded
Ferrari's, Audi r8's, Porsches don't have that same extent
The gt3rs handles the best out of all of them objectively
The R8 definitely had a luxury-first feel to it
Yea you could daily an r8
It was sporty and extremely driver-focused, yes
But it was refined, sensible and comfortable all the while
i guess because lambo to ferrari/audi/porsche have different ideas on what an interior should fee like
Audi isn't Lamborghini and Lamborghini isn't Audi
After experiencing it I get why people always refer to their interiors as fighter jet styled
It honestly felt like I could
I feel like the visibility was pretty good even for me short ass
yepr8 seems the most dailyable
followed by gtr
huracan evo would be fine too tho i think, visibility aside
GTR is a lot more daily oriented than an r8
the r8 is a mid engine'd small frunk supercar
It was clearly designed with that in mind, more-so than the Huracan
gtr seems like it would feel heavier
the gtr fits 4 and has Nissan practicailty
Because it is heavier lol
lol for me dailyable means driveable around town etc
never even considered storage space and passengers
There's a difference between seats 4 and fits 4
does it actually fit four-modern sized adults or is it a little bit squishy
or what will said
true, most 2 door cars dont actually fit 4
the gtr would be much more daily oriented than any of the cars on that list unless you throw a Urus on it lol
unless you have kids in which 'daily' is awhole different ballgame
Porsche 911 and newer Camaros come to mind
the only car I would say you could daily as well as a gtr is a regular 911
911 has 4 seats?
yeah
yes in a 2+2
I know right?
the backseats are trunk space basically
They're there to lower tax rates
yeah tbh im not a porsche guy, too boring for me
Pretty much
rs cars are exempt
That's a bold take
i dont get non-rs 911s
there are like 56 trims of the 911 there exists more than one sporty trim
if you see them sports cars, the base Carreras are pretty much all you need
when i see a lambo i imagine a hot rich dude celebrity getting out of it
wheni see a 911 i imagine a fat bald man who just had his mid life crisis
The GTS, the T, the S/T, the Speedster, these are all handling and lightweight focused models
This is implying that the 911 isn't inherently a sporty car
sure but the gt2/3rs are king
what about a person stepping out of GT3 Touring, then who do you see
The base model is practically a gt, but yea they all are excellent around a corner
an nft trader
In my opinion the 911 is as close to a dictionary definition of a sports car as a "normal-person car" can get
not fat bald, but normal rich dad
i still would have pcitured that NFT trader steeping out of a regualr GT3 lol
id say the m2 comp is the most 'normal' and 'sportscar'
""normal"" rich dad steeping out of a 911 Porsche
i get what you meant thouhg
nft trader buys a urus or huracan
The T and the S/T are car-person-cars for sure though
For sportscars you got the Lotus emira, Porsche 718, Alpine a110, these are just for nothing but pure driving enjoyment
i thought porsche said teh gt3rs doesnt come in manual since manuals cant handle the power and torque
but then they release s/t so
doesn't exist
oh I didn't read above that
For a company like Porsche that logic is weak, if they really wanted to make the trans handle that power they definitely could lol
mansory
If Americans can do it then Germans can too
s/t's are a rip off, they are amazing but simply just a special edition for collectors
they're saving for another special edition
i actually like a lot of mansory parts
the cars and full kits are over the top but i would definitely get some specific bits for some cars
It has nothing to do with what it can or cannot handle, Porsche rs track models only come in pdk because it is faster
interior especially
Porsche is looking into measures to dissuade or prevent people from collecting and flipping
yea good on them
Fr
do they not have manual transimission on the GT3 offerings?
ah right
yea the regular you can get whatever you want, it is cool that they offer it as no charge so people can just choose aimlessly
Would you guys rather have a 911 turbo s or a gt3rs
was contemplating lc500 or m8 next year, but just had a look and some post-facelift r8 quattros are selling for around 240k
gt3rs 1000%
Turbo S
new question
lc500 vs m8 c vs r8
i would still stick with LC
model s plaid is fast, have no desire to drive it
The turbo s is a hell of a lot faster but imo the fact that it doesn't rev as high takes slight fun out of the experience
I'll get flamed for saying this but I'd probably have a CT5-V Blackwing over a 911
the turbo s is also much easier to drive on regular roads
LC, then R8, then M8
interesting take
yeah i usually have intersting takes
at what 911 spec. would you take over a CT5-V Blackwing
depends on the 911, blackwing vs base model is fair since they are the same price but choosing blackwing vs a fully specced gts is insanity by all measures
Epik you know my preferences very well
brand new lc500 - $200-240k
used 2 year old m8c - 200-240k
used 7 year old r8 - 240k+
lc500 is the most practical choice for sure
The lc is the slowest and cheapest of the three, I mean it's nice but eh
I don't find these three very comparable
Speed or performance is second to fun in my eyes
i just had a look at blackwing didnt know aboutit before
Lc500 is $80,000
but would rather take an m2/m3/m4 over that tbh
yeah maybe the LC and 8 Series, but those are slightly weird cross-shopping
australian pricing sir
are LC500s actually 80k in oz
And I prefer brash tire-smoking immaturity over German refined
that is still overpriced I wonder what is up with that
do you guys have massive tariff imports for cars?
everything in aus is 2x the price of usa
It's why AMG is/was my favorite German company
we have 10% gst and luxury car tax
they get subjected to luxury car tax
yeah its ten percent like Hyper said
Cuz they're the most American
luxury car tax is 33% of the value over 80k aud
That's another hot take right there
10% gst + 33% lct
nah that's pretty true, AMG engines are just german muscle
groggy v8's
is it really though, i really feel that they are
hot take, but you can consume it
The Blackwing is pretty unique in its offering, can't deny that
BMW Is the brash company to me lol
theyre the one that make drift tutorials on their official channel
The blackwing in that blue with the carbon accents is the only Cadillac I would probably ever consider buying
not an american and got minimal exposure to caddy but i likethe escalad v
Luxury (shut up, don't start) sedan that fits four, 6.2 Liter V8 with modernized tech from the stone age with a supercharger on top, and the frosting on top being a 6 speed manual
Plus the LT4 is an absolutely phenomenal engine
Yea they did it really well
I'm not into the brand but that car specifically has always had my attention
for what?
Blackwing is $106,000
oh nvm
ye
even at 100k the deal is pretty good
for what you get
probably walking out at $120,000
The manual is something I don't think anybody was expecting from a Cadillac
isnt the shelby gt500 around 100k too over there
that would probably be my pick for american v8
isnt z06 120k?
the gt500 is like 760hp track car with carbon ceramic brakes, mustang stopped making muscle cars haha
Ironically one of my favorite American V8s doesn't even feature the defining trait of an American V8
msrp is but they don't sell for under like $180,000 due to horrendous markups
yeah well muscle cars are for straight line, mustangs are supposedly actually good to drive and handle better than challenger/camaro
And no, it's not the V8 Z06's engine. It's the other American flat-plane V8 lol
The Camaro is the best handling of the 3
really?
That's more or less been the case since 2009
yeah i heard it was the mustang
Modern camaros in particular
broadly
Lest we forget about the ZL1 and ZL1-1LE
Luxury (shut up, don't start)
its true though, that's their main target
Broadly throught the models like normal specs I could see the Camaro having the most normal driving out of the three big brands
but the gt500 will smoke top trims of the other two
kinda wanna do an usa road trip
rent/lease a hellcat, zl1, gt500 and take turns switching cars
unless you get a demon and a straight line
The Camaro did IRS correctly 6 or 7 years before the mustang did
near perfect spec. for me
well i guess the challenger is unanimously NOT the handling carlol
mustang car meet crash people something something muscle
There's a reason every SRT in their ads is sideways in the corners lmao
The lack of IRS is one of two main reasons for this... Reputation
Challengers don't handle as bad as they are made out to handle, they look like low poly bricks so people assume the tire grip or suspension doesn't exist.
With that being said though the thing is as heavy as most suv's and isn't winning any lap times
the word 'infamy' is better suit :)))))
If you have a challenger for normal commute driving you will never notice issues in turning, it comes down to really pushing the thing
what does IRS abbrevaite to?
Independent rear suspension
The biggest innovation the Camaro brought to the pony car scene by far
american car pricing here is crazy
Just get a Holden
350k for a raptor r
250k for a trx or normal raptor
since they shut down they also went up in price lol
Gm ruining everything part 687
theres an excorcist for sale here for 330k aud (about 220k us)
ive never bothered to check the prices, but raptors are that expensive?
id still pick a mustang i think
blacked out widebody mustangs look better than most supercarsimo
got that cyberpunk/batmobile vibe
its aud fyi
but yeah
are we talking the ranger or the F150
f150
ranger is 100k aud
we have had ranger raptors for years and sold plenty so theyre reasonably priced
oh that explains why i dont know about the F150 and its ability for it to be 200k+
Chevy's marketing for younger audiences is pathetic to say the least
the big trucks have to be converted to rhd from lhd since neither ford/dodge/gmc/chevy build rhd trucks
they are semi official
Ford absolutely blows them out of the water in that regard with RTR and the Raptors and Shelby's and such, I can't lie there
its manufacturersupported re-manufacturing to rhd but not technically oem
oh makes sense why they have ballooned in price
i know that GMSV is covnerting rams and camaros and they want to have their hand on C8 Corvettes too
yep
Mustangs in general seem to be more mod-friendly
yeah i would have taken the Mustang on looks alone, inside and out
the mod-friendliness only makes it better
they do sell a lot of mustangs so makes sense
But Ford's Coyote and GM's Chevy small block are both damn fine platforms for tuning
If nothing else, america is the best at sheer power
best at cheap power*
blue collar power
put $$$ into a german engine you get excessive results lol
If we can build it cheap who says we can't build it expensive lol
lambo v10s are also crazy tuneable but obviously the cost is crazy
What's the most powerful German production car, again?
is that Audi V10 or Lambo's V10
Same shit
also from 🇦🇺 i feel the need to draw your attention to the barra
the barra is such a shitpost, for the right reasons
technically the huracan v10 is based on the audi v10 which is based on the gallardo v10
I would love to see Germans extract 1000 horsepower without their precious turbos🦅🦅🦅🗣️🗣️🗣️
bruh turbos are magnificient
We've used them too
one of the reasons i drive the kuruma everywhere is the constant turbo sounds
is the answer some Bugatti or something else
'we'
They're French, but it's german-engineered so it counts
basically all euro cars are german engineered at this point
..volvo
so as of this chat at this moment, just you 🙃
bald?
a scam
a spin doctor?
what
god not venom dickriding
what a sentence
What, I can't appreciate what america is best at?
dont pick hennessey as your mascot
It's a GM LS at the end of the day
so thanks bob lutz?
what america is best at is not, making supercars, but military technology
yk nasa etc
not idling about?
american musclegets its credit but 'supercars' are not americas forte
or their intake of food?
lol
Horsepower is
That's my whole point
sure
but there are cruise ships with 100,000 horsepower, dont realla wanna drive them lol
I never said we could make a good supercar
the model s plaid has more power than most cars but it doesnt mean anything
its about the driving not just the dyno number
i think he is arguing about otright HP and not much else
America's whole identity when it came to sports cars was literally more horsepower than traction
ok fair point
That's how it's been since we found our identity in the car world
so if america were to stop making those cool cars, would you say that america loses its motoring identity?
geniune question
Yes
We're going to find another one eventually but it won't be the same
that's actually depressing
the future has it that there will be no such cars like that
im not talking about the impedning doom of all life
It wouldn't be the first time our idea of a sports car was crippled by things outside the corp's control
true, but it did run on the same stuff it was powering then
i still think synthetic fuel is coming soon
i dont think electric cars are sustainable
We went from making the most powerful production cars in the world to making pathetic A-to-B crawlers once
we dont have the resources to build enough battery packs to replace all ice cars
To say this is happening a second time would be an oversimplification but
Because nowadays we can extract 400 horsepower from a fucking mechanical pencil
2035 is too soon
Even for the EU, let alone somewhere like California least of all any other state
restrictions will be on new cars, buti dont see them 'banning' gas cars that soon
the EU might but america wont, and australia etc wont
The muscle car died in 1973, the Camaro is going away for the foreseeable future, the dodge V8 is going away across the board; all we'll have left is the mustang really
it will just become an expensive hobby
And even then I'd be shocked if we're getting another V8 mustang after this new gen
mustang is gonna go hybrid or electric soon anyway
yeah
better to kill a model line that rape its soul
mustang mach e ffs
I mean there's the Corvette but that's not a muscle car and it never was
That'll be GM's flagship sports car for the foreseeable future
yeah but after the zora its gonna go electric too
It kind of always has been to be honest
If you mean the 'first phase' of muscle cars i would have agreed
But do you mean that there are no sich things as muscle cars even in the past few years as well? Because im sure there are muscle cars those years back and we still have some now
what do you guys think of the bmw xm label red
i was hyped when i saw the leaks, and i still think its the best looking suv ever, and the interior is great
but seems like its a pretty shit car to drive and doesnt handle well like the x5m
I mean GM is spending 800 million on a next gen Chevy small block, so I wouldn't be surprised if the C9 will have ICE
did not know that, thats reassuring
Correction: over 900 mil
Big difference there 👍
Still an obscene amount of money in the face of electrification
I think it is outright shit
Its a low-LOD model thats been upscaled by AI, polished with grease until it shined and outlined with paint brush that has been dipped in red, highlighting haphazardly over the worse and nonsenical parts of the the """"design"""". Its polarising, its ugly, it can suck at least two cars in front and trap it with its grille, its brutish
Its the literal metaphor of putting lipstick on a pig realised from paper to production
The only thing to praise are the engineers behind it and their attempt, how unappealingly boisterous it has in presence, and its interior.
damn
The interior is excellent and plush, and im half glad it didnt follow a similar route like the exterior, half disappointed they didnt embraced the boldness and uniqueness of the exteriors
Safe to say that there are other SUVsz or even other cars i would rather have or look at
i think its what an suv should look like, its a brute, but the proportions are perfect from all angles, looks far better than a urus, x5, bentayga etc
honestly its what i wouldve drawn when i was 12
its a brick, and a magnificient looking brick
the xm and urus are the only 2 suvs id consider
A 3 minute walk around of the exclusive BMW XM label red edition!!!
Ooh, and their paint options, those are admittedly good colours they have chosen
https://rng-t.com/body_kit/bmw/bmw-xm/ and this kit is 💦
If i were to be limited to performance SUVs, it would have tk be the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, or the Range Rover Sport SVR
hate jags and hate land rovers lol
I still would take a that new Landcruiser Prado over those
look boring to me and although landrover interior is nice i wouldnt want to drive one
agreed, the new design is perfect
1st place xm label, 2nd place new landcruiser prado
That is not helping the car make it look any better in any aspect other than removing the stripes accents
Wait nevermind its still there
You can tell i am a big fan of XMs
im lowkey glad eveyrone hates it
should be able to pick up the limited edition version for nie and cheap in a yer or 2
Thats one way to look at it, as the opportunist
2 year old use m8 comp is already half of retail price
could probably grab an xm label for <150k soon
also bronco raptor is a good suv imo
and i like the rivians tbh
probably the only electric car id buy
Yeah i forgot about that one, i dig the Raptor too
im on a mission to find 1 individual who likes the xm lol
do you think the aston dbx looks good?
i dont get how the aston isnt hated, that to me is a horrifyingly ugly car
as is the bentayga
Oh right the DBX
Forgotten about that one also tbh
Its ugly because ot tries to incorporate whatever Aston Martin styling motifs as an SUV, same thing with the Bentley Bentayga
So its mixing curves and elegance into an SUV body, doesnt get executed well
The DBX and Bentayga i personally believe are the lesser of evils with the BMW XM
So i dislike the the Astons/Bentley SUVs and hate the XM
I also attribute the idea that the DBXs and Bentaygas are their only SUV offerings as of right now and that the truth is that these SUVs are also contributing into funding their respective manufacturers into making other cool cars
With the above point, yes you can say the same about the XM also making money for BMW but so are the other SUVs that BMW already have in their lineup
The XM is just excess, just a slightly fast showboat
hm
i dont get it tbh
but then again i liked the g82 m4 when it came out when everyone hated the grill
and i lik the new m2 as well
so maybe its me lol
Yeah you are talking to the wrong person for this one too
Truth be told, i dislike/more than dislike anything BMW released 2020 onwards, even on just design alone
Ive thought as present day BMW as someone who tries really hard to be cool and hip but comes off as a wanker, and that those paying attention figured out what BMW are doing had made sense to them and are copying (namely other manufacturers)
Idk if that analogy gets across
What i meant is that with the G80/G82s, they could have designed the front to at least look more pleasant, but instead hiring Audi/Mercedes workers to butcher the front for them
In truth, the grille is for exposure of brand
nah its fair perceptions are valid
but tbh i think any supercar makes you look like a wanker
a lot of things make you look like a wanker lol
'23 M4 CSL?
still dont like it, the big culprit still being its monstrous nasal orifice
i do like the bootlid and the rear lights, those are improvements over the regular G82
Wild
not as wild as all the native animals that get get sucked up in its wake as it drive by
Big ol’ nostrils
we were discussing daily supercarsand forgot about the acura nsx 🤦♂️
we dont get them here and theyonly made a dozen or so rhd type s for japan but based on US pricing it seems on par with the huracan
thats my pick for sure
You take a NSX over a Huracán?
i would anyday the old nsx actually
yeah idont know, its exterior is nice but no so much the interior
shared quite a lot with regular Acuras
Japanese cars interiors are quite behind the others tbh
this could have been an Acura SUV
i do like that its relatively simple and primitive though, if dated
the LC is better
im not taking an NSX over a Huracan
They copied the interior from GTA fr
Nsx type s over a Huracan for sure, as a daily supercar
The only Huracan I'd take over nsx is the STO but that's more for track days
Interior is mid but it's not bad, and lambo interiors aren't exactly luxury
Also the interior looks better without the chrome plastic and Alcantara seats imo
i like the new prado but i prefer the lc300
u guys get that in australia right
it grew on me so hard
i used to hate it at first
i prefer the lower models like the gxr
everything apart from the rims are nice
just stick on some braids and its perrrfect
Accord and Civic have better looking interior than NSX💀
Why not turn the Honda/Acura NSX into an e-SUV? 🤔 Let's ask them, who's with me?
That's like turning the Corvette into an SUV
It's really beautiful
It's horrific
It's a work of art, hopefully it'll be an electric crossover
EWWWWWWWW
Thats just a render but with a bit of work the designcould be good
But no need to call it an nsx
Better than the Urus tho for sure
what the fuck
it looks better than the urus
Better than the Urus tho for sure
Yeah this take
that ford fiesta I didnt like cause the clutch auto gearbox sucks, might be my next car by fate, ugh lmao
heyo, the Audi RS3 is a Coupé, Sedan or Wagon?
There's sedan and hatchback versions of it, not sure about coupé and wagon.
thanks
Np
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT
WHY IS IT OBESE NOW
Thank goodness its an autoevolution render
Its absolutyley cursed but i have to say it does translate well as a SUV
its one of those coupe suvs that dont offer more space than a sedan, just higher for the sake of higher and the "muh seating position" customer base
im surprised mercedes hasnt created a coupe semi truck yet, they are the worst offenders
height is good tho
for non sporty driving
as a daily, you can drive over curbs and go on gravel roads etc without worrying
sedans are basically obsolete
you want practical, get a suv/ute
you want sporty get a hatch/coupe
you want luxury, get a gt, which are mostly coupes anyway
Sedan ground clearance and typical crossover suv ground clearance differences are extremely miniscule. Crossovers and suvs are absolutely useless unless the utility is needed (seat more than 5, carry or moving large volumes of stuff, or towing)
85% of people who drive an suv would not have any major changes in their life if they just got a lighter, more efficient, and gas saving sedan or wagon from the same brand.
If you are avidly towing a boat and driving on gravel and muddy dirt/snow constantly while moving small furniture. Then yes a sedan doesn't make sense
But most people over consume and are told by a long ignorant game of telephone that they need higher ground clearance and a heavy sluggishly handling suv when all they do is commute to work on paved roads in urban areas
I absolutely hate the idea of supercar suvs, it is such a contradiction to the core of what entails a car to be good. The Aston Martin Rolls and Bentley Suv's make sense because they are aimed at luxury over everything, but a Ferrari suv is a pretty sickening thought
They can't not do it though because these bubble ass fast suvs are cash cows for any brand that makes them
Yea the amg gle coupe suv is ugly as sin how do people spend $120,000 on that abomination
It looks like a bean
And you lose the entire trunk practically of an suv when the rear of it is that slanted
so, mercedes actros coupe when? guess we'll never know
perhaps some ai can help me imagine
I can only see the Ferrari SUV as cashgrab, entering a market where they havn't gotten their foot in before
maybe that what it is really
if it funds project for other cooler Ferraris, then i guess thats a good cause?
On paper SUVs don't offer much advantage in terms of ground clearance or even space but the whole driving experience is more 'dailyable'
It's not a quantifiable metric tbh but there's something about SUVs that are just more comfortable to daily, even if it is only a placebo effect
And I have no problem with supercar SUVs as long as they are good
The Ferrari one is trash, Aston is trash, Porsche is mid
Bentayga and rolls are luxury
The Urus and the x5m are really the only performance SUVs
(There's trackhawk etc but thats just big power, not actually sporty)
I would rather daily a Urus than pretty much any sedan including an m5
Super SUVs handle better and are faster than 90s sports car
The Urus is literally a supersized hot hatch, it is fun to drive and has 5 seats
I agree with the consumer SUV sentiment people buy it for dumb reasons and they are uncomfortable to drive but super SUVs are different
disagree but to each their own
id rather have a wagon than an SUV tbh
like an RS6
Ye wagons are ugly not a fan
hot hot take
take so hot i cannot touch it with a 10km pole
boiling hot
disagree it with it as well
give me either an RS6 or a urus and I’d pick the RS6 with my eyes closed
Urus / TRX / raptor r / BMW xm is my daily driver shortlist
M8 comp, lc500 and continental GT are the daily/gt cars
i honestly have to ask people who like the style Urus or the BMW XM or most super SUVs on why they find them good looking while they also dismiss wagons?
is it because they are under styled or something
TRX
gallons per mile intensifies
I guess if you’re filthy rich
the TRX is a funny shitpost
I don't like hatch/wagon styles unless theyre tall as well
If you can afford a trx then fuel consumption is moot
tall as in physical height or in terms of looks
Physically
Also this is NOT it
It's about the vibe, SUVs are supposed to be monstrous and brutish
Not that I only want an xm label red in frozen black
i suppose, but conversely you can also say that sports wagons are discreet and sleek
Idk how you can not like this
https://youtu.be/YNAaMSyhVtg?si=MyTlXKm73BP9RNod
The vehicle formerly known as the XM Label Red arrives with a new name: XM Label. It's in individual Frozen Black--a no cost option for the XM. Individual paints are no cost when you're approaching $200K! 738 horsepower and an equal amount of torque utilizing a PHEV paired with a V8.
they deadass looked at the regular 3 series models’ grille and thought “nah, the M3 needs to be obnoxious”
@onyx rivet Yeah fair I don't have a problem with wagons I just wouldn't buy them
And they feel like golf/practical dad cars to me
Like sensible shoes
Yes
Exactly
It does need to be obnoxious, the non-m grills are god awful but blacked out m versions are epic
i already explained why i immensely disliked lol
Idk how the same people like the Countach because it's over the top crazy
And the kidney grille isn’t?
you can have far-out design, while also making it sleek
The g82 M4 is perfect from all angles
And the csl is perfect +1
M3 has too many doors
exhibit a:
(mileage may vary, opinions may differ)
thats actually a good colour too
All big cars (SUV/ute) should be 4+ door
All small cars should be 2 door, sedans suck
I also only wear high top boots or thongs/go barefoot if that is relevant
Yeah the centre beam is a bit odd but the car looks 🔥
shoe choices shouldnt be indicative of what you drive
hang on, that division in the grille is what bothers you more
more than the elephant in the room?
Rest of the car I agree
@onyx rivet What's the elephant in the room
if I try my absolute hardest to not look at the kidneys then yes the M4 does look good
Neither does the m4
to each their own
But the normal 4 series grilles are terrible I agree
the G80/G82s are incohesive in design, apart from the idea that everything is all over the place
in some parts its jagged and edgy, in others its smooth and restrained
What do you think about the new M2 grille
Yeah it was weird for me too I saw a blue one first
But then I saw a black one and it grew on me
I think it looks great in black but the other colours get a pass
what was so wrong about the F series grilles…
That being said I think the f87 M2 CS Manual is the best m car in terms of sportiness, and the M8 in terms of gt
Nothing
genuinely perfect
slight tangent: these look similar in places
I agree that's what I thought at first but now that I'm used to the g82 the f series looks outdated
M4 at home
@hybrid charm what's it for?
Wdym
lol da hell is this
car with electric shaver grille
To buy
Bruh I can't unsee that now it literally looks like an electric shaver
The whole car
are you a sheikh or something
Lol I wish
The big list of hypercars is like endgame if I ever reach that point
The starter list is the realistic one
😭💀
dawg not one of those starters is realistic to me
i would take the car with the electric shaver grille over the car with the big snout
You must be british
nah
