you take it out the fridge about 30 minutes before you cook it
Pat it try with a paper towel, season it with salt pepper garlic powder (you can also salt it and leave it in the fridge overnight so the salt penetrates into the meat)
Put a pan on the stove, preferably cast iron, and either put some oil on the steak or in the pan and wait for it to be hot
Sear the steak on both sides for about 2 minutes until theres a nice brown crust
When thats done reduce heat, add butter and rosemary to the pan, heat the butter and start basting(scooping the hot butter onto the steak), then flip and do it again.
let it sit for about a minute on both sides on medium heat for about another minute(bepending on the thicccness of the steak)
Then put the steak onto a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes

basically how i always prepare my steak rare-medium rare

takes no more than 15 minutes

It's difficult to improve on grilled cheese. Simple is best. I like to spread mayo on my bread instead of butter, it crisps up very nicely. (Melt butter in the pan though)

Other than that use more than one type of cheese. Cheddar and colby jack are my favorites.
